Countdown to the Showdown
Katie Foster opened the pre-show with a panel as she was joined by commentator Drew Parkland and Petey the Pirate. Katie wasn’t the best host but she run down the card and said the Jacob Ryler would join the panel after the first match.
1) Cody Rejero vs. Zakk Static vs. Jacob Ryler: Simple three-way opener. With Jackal injured, Static is going to have to compete as a singles competitor. He looked decent here but took the fall following Cody’s Pepsi Driver.
Ryler joined the panel and Katie asked the three for their predictions on some of the undercard matches on the iPPV. Parkland chose Slayer versus Stone saying he’s seen them training and it could surprise a few. Ryler said the women’s match is going to be the hardest hitting match of the night. And Petey said he hopes fellow Original 16 member, Evan Pagano can break his losing streak tonight.
2) Matt Spade vs. Baby J Jamerson: A basic singles match with some good technical action. Jamerson is improving and Spade let the youngster get in plenty of offence. Jamerson came close to getting the win on a few occasions and got the win with a neat Small Package reversal.
Katie and the panel were back with their predictions for the Duos and FUSE title bouts. Drew said everyone knew he will be supporting his boys but hoped Hart can retain too. Ryler predicted Hart’s got his eyes on the World title and will slip up tonight. Petey said Mockingbird look like they are going to hold onto the Duos titles for a long time.
3) Amy Lee and Red Fire vs. Taliah Winters and Kourtney Love: Fun women’s tag bout, pretty fast paced too. They even did the SNW dive spot with Love hitting a suicide dive and Fire hitting an Asai Moonsault. This led to the finish where Amy hit the Downward Spiral on Love.
The final panel spot with Katie was about the main event. Katie asked for the panel’s predictions on the six-man Klauteren. Drew said that Hammers is the man at the moment and doesn’t see anybody knocking him off his perch. Ryler agreed but said it’s a great opportunity for someone like Riley to win the belt without pinning Hammers (something Riley has never done). Petey said he sees Mike Bockwinkel as a wildcard as he has experience in winning the first.
4) Nick Jacobs vs. Dave Demento: The main event was originally on the main card of the iPPV but got knocked down because of the Klauteren. It was a good thing because it meant these two got plenty of time. Jacobs worked brilliantly against Demento and made the youngster look very good. The match ended with stiff strikes and Jacobs falling to the F***tard.
The Showdown IV Live from the FUSE Arena only on SNW Player
The FUSE Arena is sold out for SNW’s last event of the year. There was even added seats.
1) AirDevils vs. Jet Jaguar, Jason Williams and El Hijo de Angel Custodio: Scorching hot opener, about as hot as you can get. Very fast paced action made the crowd come alive. Of course, there was the dive spot with dive-after-dive. The end was a finisher flurry with El Hijo and Jag hitting a two-man Spanish Fly and Jason hitting a 630 but Gerard and Cantrell fought back hitting the Bombs Away to win it.
We see Joseph Stone backstage with his father Cameron Stone and Baby J Jamerson. Cam said that tonight is the night they finally rid themselves of Slayer. He hyped up his son well.
2) Ken Slayer vs. Joseph Stone: This was the surprise of the night. The feud between these two has been lacking but these two former friends put on a great little match which included Slayer diving onto Cam and Baby J. They were ejected and Slayer then got the win after getting the knees up to the Moonsault and hitting the Sling Blade.
Afterwards, Slayer got a round of applause. After initially not being accepted by the SNW fans it seems like he has finally won them over.
The Joseph Brothers were backstage with SNW’s interviewer Katie Foster. Katie asked about their bad luck recently. But the brothers kept talking over each other, which led to Jack walking out on Matt.
3) Joseph Brothers vs. Revolution X: Matt took all the punishment in this match from Safu and LyNN. Jack didn't even seem too bothered about making the save. The hot tag was made and Jack flew about the ring well even hitting a nice Sky Twister Press to the floor onto Safu. He wanted to put RevX away with a tag finisher but Matt hadn't recovered. This led to a 2-on-1 situation with RevX hitting Jack with the Samoan Drop/Neckbreaker.
After the bout, Jack blamed his brother for the loss. He shoved him then left holding his neck. 4) FUSE: Kevin Hart vs. Steven Kagemann: This was another good match which was helped by the fact that they skipped the opening stages of the match and went straight to the hard hitting. Kagemann controlled at first and tried a piledriver on the apron, only for it to be reversed. Hart then hit a bottom rope suicide dive. Back in the ring, Kagemann got his knees up to the 450 and almost scored the win. Hart kicked out of the DeathDrive, so Kagemann went for the Fire Tornado. Hart moved out of the way, hit a superkick and finished off the former three time Duos Champ with the Maple Leaf Revenge.
We saw the first two promos for the Klauteren. They focused on Jack Powers and Ace Bennett. Powers said that he sees this as the perfect opportunity to reclaim his spot atop of the mountain. Bennett said he is sick of putting on the best matches of the night but not being the champion. He says he knows what he has to do to win tonight.
5) DUOS: Mockingbird vs. Parkland Bros: This was a great tag match which started early as the MBirds attacked the Parkland brothers before the bell. There was no Rose at ringside as she was still selling the effects of the Anniversary show. Reid and Caufield worked over Axel from making the tag and drew excellent heat. The hot tag was made early and Duke fought off both men. This began the near-falls, Parkland with the KFC, then the Parklands with their Dad’s old tag finisher, Southern Styling. The Champions fought back with the combo that won them the belts, an Eat Defeat and a 450 but it was broken up again. The MBirds hit their old tag finisher, the Sunset Flip/Springboard Dropkick but Duke kicked out of it. The Champs were quick to follow up with the American debut of their finisher, the Death From Above to retain.
There was another video package focusing on another two men from the Klauteren, this time on Jordan Devine and Mike Bockwinkel. Devine said he has had his chances this year but he can’t slip up again. Bock put over the fact that he is the only person to have won a Klauteren and will do it again tonight.
6) WOM: Keeley Matthews [TCW] vs. Wasp: What a hard hitting bout. I don’t think the fans were expecting such a match. Keeley came out like an MMA fighter and just destroyed Wasp with strikes. This shook Wasp who never really recovered. The referee separated them and then Keeley took Wasp off her feet with a big belly-to-belly. Wasp began a fight back with a knee in the corner. As she thought she was in control, she went for the Buckle Bomb only for the champ to transition into a Key-Lock. Wasp tried to get to the ropes but couldn’t take the pain and tapped. A quick but effective MMA style match.
The final part of the Klauteren hype aired with the video package focusing champion Chris Hammers and “Gunslinger” Riley Shamrock. Shamrock did a good job in making it seem like he and Hammers are big rivals, saying he has never beat him one-on-one but said he doesn’t even need to pin him tonight to reclaim the title. Then the video focused on Hammers which transitioned into the interview set with Katie Foster. She asked him about his odds and Riley’s comments. Hammers said he is the best in SNW and no one has been able to stop him. He said no stipulation or no amount of competitors will change that.
7) Evan Pagano vs. Daniel Sinn: The story going into this match is Pagano has lost both his singles matches since his return. They worked this like a main event bout, with a slow “feeling out” process to start leading to a big finish. Both men can technical wrestle, so it was a fun beginning but the fans were getting tired at this point, so they were quiet. They won the crowd over when Pagano hit a SicKick for a close call and later dived over the top only to be met by an uppercut. Sinn then hit a lariat to take Pagano into the crowd but Evan returned to the ring before the countout. Sinn then went for the Original Sinn only for Pagano to counter with a second SicKick. Pagano went to follow that up with the Calling but got caught in a small package for the three!
Intermission. Shock finish to the first half, everyone expected Pagano to break his little losing streak but he got caught out with a small package. There was no-one out at the break but it was announced that some SNW athletes will come out at the end of the show. A video package aired of SNW's next iPPV and it's first of 2017, One Night in Brazil, SNW's debut in South America.
Before the main event, a video played. It made reference to the Japanese symbols we’ve seen all year and the picture of the Tiger. The words “2017 Year of the Tiger” appeared” Then the screen went blank. Footsteps were heard and a dark figure walked towards the screen. When his face was close to the screen, the light rose and the person was revealed to be TCW’s Justin Tyger. He smiled then a Tiger roar was heard as the screen went blank. Fans went crazy for this announcement.
KLAUTEREN RULES Match will last 60 minutes A ‘temporary champion’ can be crowned via pinfall, submission or DQ The role of temporary champion can be changed anytime during the time limit The temporary champion does not have to take the fall, anyone can pin anyone to become temporary champion Any temporary champions crowned during the match will not be officially recognised title reigns Whoever holds the title at the end of 60 minutes will be the official crowned champion
8) SNW: Six-Man Klauteren: Chris Hammers vs. Riley Shamrock vs. Jordan Devine vs. Ace Bennett vs. Mike Bockwinkel vs. Jack Powers: The match was a bit of a cluster to start with all six-men brawling with each other but soon the match got some kind of order with only two or three men in the ring at the same time. It didn’t take long for the first temporary champion to be crowned, Ace Bennett got the pinfall after stopping Devine’s superplex attempt and instead hit an early Syracuse Bound which had Powers tapping. Bennett submits Powers via Syracuse Bound (9:05). Bennett stayed in control for a large portion of the match with plenty of others coming close. A finisher flurry led to the next change, Bockwinkel hit the Bockwinkel Special on Hammers but before he could do anything he was hit with an Irish Welcoming from Shamrock. Shamrock pins Bockwinkel via Irish Welcoming (31:47). Devine then came in straight away and took the temporary champion crown right off Shamrock. Devine pins Shamrock via Devinity (32:00). The action continued until only Hammers and temporary champion Devine was left standing. The two battled before a Lariat took Devine to the canvas. Hammers pins Devine via a Lariat (38:36). The champion retained hold of the role for another ten minutes with plenty of kick outs and break ups in between. That was until Bock managed to roll up Powers to take control (49:20). But Powers bounced immediately back with a Choke Out which had Bock tapping. Powers submits Bockwinkel via Choke Out (39:05). Hammers regained control soon after with a pinfall over his rival. Hammers pins Shamrock via the Last Minute Orders (43:16). Then when it was announced that there was ten minute left, things got real crazy. Our commentators noted that it seemed everyone was desperate to be temporary champion but their stamina was coming into play. Bennett pins Devine via Shinning Wizard (51:04). Shamrock submits Powers via Ode to Shamrock (52:48). Bockwinkel pins Riley via Bockwinkel Special (53:11). Bennett pins Bockwinkel via small package (53:29). Hammers pins Bennett via Diving Senton (55:36). Bennett pins Powers via Syracuse Drop (57:50). Bennett managed to keep retain being temporary champion up until the final stages. Hammers took Ace out with a Lariat then focused on Devine. Hammers hit Riley off the apron then hit the Last Minute Orders on Powers, the referee counted to two but the time limit sounded!
Fans were shocked, they didn’t know what had just happened. Bennett was the last temporary champion but was Hammers meant to have pinned Devine? The wrestlers didn’t know what to do, which suggests that Hammers was booked to walk out as champion. Second referee Enzo Stile ran down and went straight to the ring announcer. Then the ring announcer said “The Winner and NEW SNW WORLD CHAMPION!” Ace Bennett is the new champion! Bennett becomes the 15th SNW World Champion but was he meant to? Ace was handed the belt and didn’t really celebrate. He walked up the ramp with confusion on his face. The camera focused on Hammers who looked distraught. He asked the referee about the decision but he was overheard by the camera saying that he only got a two count before the time limit ran out. Bennett then appeared back on the ramp, pretty straight faced looking at his new title, then raised it in the air. Madness and controversy to end 2016!

Controversy - or is it?The whole wrestling world is talking about it. The question is whether it was a genuine mistake or a brilliant marketing ploy by SNW. At SNW's final show of 2016, the SNW World title was put on the line in a Klauteren (similar to WWE's old championship scramble matches). In the match "temporary" champions are crowned throughout the match but whoever is the temporary champ when the 60 minute time limit elapses becomes the champion. Original 16 member Chris Hammers walked in as champ after an impressive reign showed no signs of losing. However, Ace Bennett who has been out of the World title picture was crowned temporary champion with just minutes remaining. Hammers managed to clear the ring and hit his signature Last Minute Orders but the referee only got to a count of 2 before the time limit sounded. In wrestling, the time limit scenario is used to add to the tension and so can be booked this way. However, from the shock of the wrestlers and the face that a second referee had to run out to deliver a message from backstage, this can be seen like this wasn't meant to happen. Many are of the opinion that Hammers was booked to retain the title but messed up the timings. Even Ace Bennett who was on the outside of the ring when the time limit sounded didn't seem to know what happened. He looked legit shocked when he was handed the title. He even disappeared backstage quickly only to re-enter seconds later. Seemingly he went backstage to ask what happened and was told to go back out and hold up the title. However, others believe that Ace walking out as champ in these circumstances was the plan all along and that the wrestlers just acted shocked. SNW is known for misleading their fans. Their biggest swerve was when they announced Chris Hammers signed with NOAH. Only for it to be a ruse for Hammers to return and destroy the United Front. The incident has certainly gained a lot of media attention, another ploy SNW likes to use as shown by their previous press conferences with celebrity appearances (Boxer David Haye in UK). What also backs up the claim that this is SNW's idea is "The Showdown" event is known to end in a big shock. Previous Showdown event endings include Bockwinkel turning RevX on Hammers and taking his title at the initial event and the first appearance of the United Front. The news also overshadowed the big announcement that TCW's Justin 'Soulfire' Tyger is coming to SNW in 2017. The former Triple Crown Champion who has competed all over the world including Japan and Cerberus Wrestling will be making special appearances in SNW over the course of the year. It will be interesting to see what happens at SNW's next show, their debut in South America, One Night in Brazil. This may give a clearer indication of whether Hammers was meant to walk out as champ or Ace was SNW's plan all along.

Synergy Issue #18 Christmas Special
Drew Parkland came out with a Santa hat and welcomed the fans to the Festive show. He said tonight we have three titles on the line and a special appearance.
1) Joseph Stone and Baby J Jamerson vs. Liam Hendrick and Simon Glockerburg: Simple opener, the heels Stone and Baby J were in full control working over Glock. The hot tag was made but the momentum didn’t last long. Stone and J won with a Hart Attack.
Stone and Jamerson took the mic post match. But the mic wasn’t working. They ended up shouting for quite an amusing promo in which they said they were the next big thing in tag wrestling and funnily, they wanted to make their voices heard.
2) Ken Slayer vs. Carl Simmons vs. Justin Allusion vs. Zakk Static: A fun four way, it wasn’t given too much time for anyone to do anything special. Simmons still hasn’t shown much in his short time in Synergy. Slayer won after a Sling Blade on Allusion.
3) WOM: Keeley Matthews [TCW] vs. Rose Parkland vs. Red Fire: This was the first of three title matches but wasn’t anything to write home about. Keeley didn’t seem bothered, Fire didn’t hit any of her big spots and Rose still looks slightly green. Keeley obviously retained with a Key-lock.
Drew brought out the special guest, Petey Claus! Petey the Pirate dressed up as Santa. The younger fans loved the free gifts that Petey gave out.
4) Duke Parkland vs. “El Hijo Nature Boy” Pedro Flair: Excellent match to lead into the break. Duke looks like he might have a break out year in 2017, he’s a real talent. And Pedro can always surprise with a performance, especially coming off the Mexican tour. Duke won after blocking a rana attempt with an Assault Driver known as the KFC.
Duke Parkland stayed out at the break, he’s the most over guy on the roster but this is his promotion. It’s in his hometown and it’s run by his Dad.
5) DUOS: Mockingbird vs. Parkland Bros: Duke’s brothers, Axel and the youngest Rex were the challengers for the title. This was a different bout to what highflyers Mockingbird are used to. They worked over Rex slowly. With sister Rose at ringside the fans rallied behind the brothers. But still, the Death from Above allowed MBirds to retain.
After the champions left, the Parkland Bros remained to thank the fans. Joseph Stone and Baby J Jamerson ran out and attacked the Parkland’s. Duke Parkland then ran the evil duo off.
6) SYN: Jet Jaguar vs. Dave Demento: The main event was the rematch of Issue 17 where Jet Jaguar ended the reign of the integral champion. The match was on par of their last encounter, just minus the atmosphere and build. Jet still busted out some big spots, including a dive to the floor and a Springboard SSP. Demento responded with his stiff strikes and a backdrop driver. However, the former champ could not hit the running kick. They played off their last match with Jag nearly winning with the small package but Demento kicked out. Jag managed to flip his way out of a powerbomb and hit the TTM for the win.

SNW 2016: A Year in Review
2016 opened in a new land, India. SNW made its debut in the continent with a bang. The iPPV saw the debut of Ken Slayer (son of Ricky Slayer), Chris Hammers become number one contender to the World title and the SNW and Duos champions (Riley Shamrock and Fatality Squad respectively) retain their belts. But the main event was a surprise, as Mockingbird upset their recent rivals Team Bennett to win their tiebreaker match.
Mockingbird’s win couldn’t have come at a better time as the Clash of the Duos was on the horizon. The champions, the Fatality Squad had already become the longest reigning and most successful champions in SNW history, now they were looking to do the unthinkable and win the COD for three years in a row. After three nights of action which included the Synergy title being defended for the first time in SNW, Ken Slayer earn himself a FUSE title bout (which he lost on Night 3) and Riley Shamrock defending the World title on all three nights, the Squad’s reign was finally ended. Not by Mockingbird but by the surprise Parkland Brothers, a team which the Squad demolished in the same tournament a year earlier.
One tournament followed another as Be the Best 2016 was next in everyone’s sights. With a shot at the World title at Riot Act IX on the line, everyone wanted in. For the first time in SNW, all four block winners did not need to go to tiebreakers. Those block winners: Hart, Bennett, Devine and Powers would face off at the Be the Best iPPV. At the Nutter Center in Ohio, Hart and Devine won their semi-final matches to meet each other in the final. Also on the card: Amy Lee downed newcomer Taliah Winters, FUSE Champ Daniel Sinn retained over the man who pinned him in BtB qualifying Matt Spade and the Parkland proved that their win at CoD wasn’t a fluke by beating the Squad a second time. Devine conquered over Hart, using the former Triple Crown Champ’s injury against him which allowed Devine to set up a World title bout at Riot Act IX. But who would he face? After an absolute classic Hammers hit a final Last Minute Orders to end Riley’s reign and become the 14 SNW World Champion.
A the next show RevX tried to capitalise with their new momentum, with Hammers and Devine, both fresh off big wins, challenging for the Duos titles. The team was unsuccessful, partly because the two knew they’d be facing off in the main event of Riot Act IX for the richest prize in SNW. But they weren’t alone. Riley Shamrock still injured from his title loss, added himself to the main event using up his rematch clause.
Riot Act IX was held in the fantastic Maple Leaf Gardens in Canada. The spectacular backdrop added to a historic night. Nick Jacobs downed his long-time rival Mike Bockwinkel in a feud that re-started at the beginning of the year, Mockingbird re-started their run to the top of the tag division when they beat the top teams from TCW and ISW, Jack Powers put down the thorn in his side the impressive youngster Jet Jaguar, Beast Kong continued her reign of terror over the Women’s division and Safu won the first ever Warfare+ continuing a successful year for RevX. In the three big title fights: the Parkland Bros established themselves further with a big win over Team Bennett, Hometown hero Kevin Hart captured the FUSE title and Hammers managed to retain the World title in the battle of three current and former members of RevX.
SNW certainly loves its tournaments, a new tournament was set up to establish who was the best singles wrestler, the Champions Carnival. The tournament pitted 16 of SNW’s best against one another in ranked singles action. With the SNW World title on the line in every one of his matches, Chris Hammers came out on top to establish himself as the strongest SNW has to offer.
From a new SNW concept to one of its oldest, the Magnificent 10. Jordan Devine won another shot at the big one by defeating teammate Safu in the final two, cementing if people didn’t know already, that 2016 is the year of RevX. Hammers meanwhile racked up another defence with a win over Nick Jacobs.
SNW presented another A-class quality show with their Anniversary event, EIGHT. At the London show: Powers and Jaguar faced off yet again with the young masked warrior earning plenty of new fans by taking Powers to the limit but ultimately losing to the former World Champion, Hart retained the FUSE title over the best the UK has to offer in Zack Sabre Jr, Knife Fight beat their mentor and his tag partner in their mentors own creation the dreaded Kagemann Deathmatch and Beast Kong’s Women’s title reign came to a screeching halt at the hands of TCW’s Keeley Matthews. At the top of the card: Evan Pagano returned to SNW, Hammers retained the title in a classic against stablemate Jordan Devine and Mockingbird finally captured the Duos titles defeating the Parkland Bros.
SNW then took a trip down south with a tour of Mexico. In the land of tag team wrestling, the new Duos Champions, Mockingbird came out strong, headlining shows and winning matches up and down the country. Meanwhile, the rest of the roster were battling to claim one of the Klauteren spots, in order to be put in the Scramble match for the World title at Showdown IV. The Battle of Mexico also took place, with Kevin Hart continuing his fine run of form, earning himself a future World title shot by defeating El Patron.
At the final show of the year, Showdown IV: Ken Slayer beat his former partner Joseph Stone who had troubled him all year, Pagano continued his singles losing streak with a loss to Daniel Sinn, Kevin Hart retained the FUSE title while still eying up the World Championship and Mockingbirds kept the belts beating the former champions. However, the shock of the year and one of the greatest in SNW’s history came in the main event and the last match of 2016. In the Klauteren, Hammers was one count away from retaining his belt when the time limit ended meaning the temporary champion Ace Bennett became the 15th SNW World Champion. This sent shockwaves through the wrestling community as everyone debated whether or not this was a mistake or clever booking on SNW’s part to get everyone talking.

SNW 2017: Looking Ahead
New Year, New Champ: In one of the most shocking moments in SNW history, Ace Bennett captured the SNW World Championship in the Klauteren. Chris Hammers was one count away from defending when the time limit sounded. Bennett last held the World title six years ago. Can the man many call, “the Best in the World” live up to his billing?
Fall of the Revolution: 2016 was undoubtedly the year of Revolution X but has it come at a cost? Tension is rising between Chris Hammers and Jordan Devine. With Devine’s time as leader of RevX a distant memory, is a munity arising?
The Year of the Tyger: After a series of hidden messages it was announced that the legend TCW’s Justin 'Soulfire' Tyger will be coming to SNW. Over 2017, Tyger will compete against the best SNW has to offer. Meanwhile another TCW competitor Keeley Matthews currently holds the Women’s Championship. Despite TCW closing it's doors, its legacy still lives on.
MockingGold: 2016 was a historic year for Elliot Reid and Dean Caufield. At the beginning of the year they looked like they would be the team to end the record breaking reign of the Fatality Squad. Fresh off a main event win over Team Bennett in India, the duo entered Clash of the Duos as favourites. However, the Parkland Bros upstaged them. Mockingbird had the last laugh winning the titles at EIGHT. Now can they stay on top of the mountain?
The Chosen Hart: Not content with just being the FUSE Champion, Kevin Hart has also had his sights on the SNW World Championship. “Calgary’s Own” won the Battle of Mexico and now has a World title shot to use. He has announced he will challenge for the title at 2017’s first show. In Brazil can Hart hold both the SNW World title and the FUSE title?
SNW Player just gets better: For the first time ever, all of SNW’s shows in 2017 will be shown on the SNW Player. The company announced their three package deals. Deal 1 – Platinum Package (all shows from 2017 including Pre-shows and On Demand), Deal 2 – Gold Package (6 iPPV shows and Pre-shows and On Demand), Deal 3 – Pay Per Show.
SNW 2017 Schedule (Provisional) January: One Night in Brazil (iPPV) February: Be the Best qualifiers (Nights 1 & 2) March: Be the Best qualifier (Night 3) April: Be the Best Tiebreaker Night May: Be the Best 2017 (iPPV) June: Riot Act X (iPPV) July: UK Tour (Belfast, Glasgow, Manchester, Cardiff) August: Tri Nations Cup 2017 (London) September: Magnificent 10 October: NINE (Anniversary Show) (iPPV) November: Clash of the Duos 2017 (iPPV) (3 Nights) December: TBA (iPPV)

Videos
2017 may be only a few days old but SNW may have produced possible POTYs (Promo of the year). They posted two videos on their website. One by former SNW World Champion, Chris Hammers entitled “The Angry Man” and another by the man who took his title controversially at SNW's last show Ace Bennett:
“The Angry Man”
Chris Hammers is on a bench, at night time, a lone lamppost lights his figure, he is back in his native Ireland. In the background the sounds of Dublin. His hair covering his face. He straightens up with a menacing stare back into the camera.
I am an angry man, full of rage and torment. I am a clever man because I have my rematch clause. I am a strong man as a weaker man would use his rematch up right away. I will not pander to the crowds wishes. I will not dance to the beat of Bennett's drum. I will choose when I want to fight. Bennett you won my title out of luck. Why should I give you the advantage? I want you to know anytime you’re in a match. After the bell has rung and you’re in a heap on the floor. I want you to know, that I may be next. You can't prepare for that, you can't prepare for a "may be". And I will take back my title. You never beat me. You don't deserve it. You may hold the gold. But I... I am still champion. To me, being champion is more than just a belt. It's knowing you’re the best. And I know I am the best, because Ace, you-never-beat-me. When we do face, I want you to look into the eyes, the eyes of an angry man. Eyes that burn red in rage and blood fuelled on revenge. Look into the eyes of the angry man. For that moment, that single moment, I want your forgiveness. And you will beg and you will weep. But the angry man, will just kick your b*****d teeth out. And as you lay there, the championship will be back where it belongs. When will that be? An angry man never tells.
“Challenge Accepted”
Ace Bennett is in front of a playing field. The SNW World title is on a chair next to him. The floor is beginning to be covered in snow. When Ace speaks you can see him breath.
People are saying that what happened at Showdown wasn’t meant to happen. And they’re right. It wasn’t. I wasn’t meant to win the title by the skin of my teeth. I was meant to win the title proudly with my head held high. I won the title with my back on the ground staring up at the lights. That’s not a way to be crowned champion.
But does that mean I’m going to give the title back? Hell no. What this means is that I’m only going to hit harder, strike faster and win decisively. This is what is going to spur me on. This is what is going to define me. Because of this, I will prove to all the doubters that I, Ace Bennett, am the best wrestler in the World.
Now, many of you already know that. For years now, you’ve been chanting that at me, “Best in the World”, “Best in the World” you chant. So why is it, that so many of you are surprised when I do win this belt? You know I’m the best. I go out there night-in-night-out and put it all on the line. I've done that every show, every day since the first day I walked into SNW as a kid. I’ve worked from the very bottom up to earn your applause and now you ask me to earn it all again.
Challenge accepted.
If you challenge me, if you question me then you do not know me well at all. I'll fight anyone, I'll do anything to earn what I've won. This is my challenge, one that I take on gladly. This isn't a game to me, it's a life. The Showdown wasn’t a fluke. Maybe it didn’t go to plan. But I am the champion and if anyone wants to say I am undeserving of it, you know where to find me. You’ll find me in the ring each and every night, giving it my all. And if you step into the ring with me, I’ll show you why I earned the chant “Best in the World”.

One Night in BrazilLive from Citibank Hall, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, Only on SNW PlayerSNW World ChampionshipAce Bennett vs. Kevin HartA rivalry as old as time, the first ever Triple Crown Champ against the second ever Triple Crown Champ, the current SNW World Champion versus the reigning FUSE Champion, it's Ace Bennett versus Kevin Hart. There’s too much history between these two to put into a few lines. Hart followed in Ace’s path to the top, they have battled many times and were even successful Duos Champions together. Both men are regarded as the two best wrestlers in the World. Now they will headline SNW’s debut in Brazil. Trust me, you won’t want to miss this. SNW Duos ChampionshipsMockingbird vs. Parkland BrosAnd it comes down to this. The third in the series. The Birds thought that the Clash of the Duos 2016 would be their year but Drew Parkland’s sons caused a massive upset and the MBirds didn’t even make it to the final. It took them all year but Reid and Caufield finally won the belts in October, since then they have defended the titles all over Mexico and once successfully against the former champs. These two teams will face off in Brazil for one last time. Evan Pagano vs. Riley ShamrockOne year ago, Riley Shamrock was on top of the world. He was the SNW World Champion. After a year plagued by concussions the “Gunslinger” looks to get back on track. Meanwhile, Evan Pagano made his return to SNW last year but it hasn’t exactly gone to plan, he is so far winless in singles action. Which man will get back on track in Brazil? Revolution X vs. AirDevilsSix-man tag action will come to Brazil but the real talking point of this match is how Revolution X will co-exist. Despite a historic year for the group of revolutionaries, tensions have been rising as of late. After losing the World title, what state of mind is Hammers in? And will Devine see it as his chance to take over? Mike Hogan vs. Jason WilliamsAfter a year in Japan “The Joker in the Pack” returns to SNW. His welcome back present will be a bout with the daredevil Jason Williams. We’ve seen recently with Evan Pagano that when you step away from SNW you will return to a better, stronger SNW. Will Hogan get the return win or will Jason cause an upset? Baby J Jamerson and Joseph Stone vs. Joseph BrothersTag team action will be the first ever SNW match on Brazilian soil. Following this match, the cocky youths of Baby J and J Stone will be flying out to Japan for a tour in NJPW. Can the duo gain some momentum or will Jack and Matt re-start their climb to the Duos titles? New Year's ResolutionOne Night in Brazil Pre-show in AmericaThe pre-show for the Brazil show will for the first time be held in a different place... actually a different county. Weary of wearing out the Brazilian fans will a super show, SNW has decided to put on a full show in the US as a pre-show to the iPPV event. The pre-show will be available as usual via the SNW Player but contains bigger names than normal and more matches. If successful, SNW may role this idea out for other events. The show will be headlined by former SNW World Champion, Mike Bockwinkel taking on the ever impressing Jet Jaguar, who had a breakout year in 2016. The co-main event will be another former SNW World Champion, Jack Powers taking on the first ever FUSE Champion, Nick Jacobs. Also the card are the controversial Dave Demento, “SNW’s Resident Mad-man” Steven Kagemann and an Over the top battle royal for the no.1 contendership to TCW’s Keeley Matthews SNW Women’s title. Mike Bockwinkel vs. Jet Jaguar Jack Powers vs. Nick Jacobs Matt Spade and Jacob Ryler vs. Zakk Static and LyNN Dave Dementovs. El Hijo de Angel Custodio Steven Kagemann vs. Ken Slayer Cody Rejero vs. Daniel Sinn Red Fire vs. Beast Kong vs. Kourtney Love vs. Rose Parkland vs. Wasp vs. Taliah Winters

New Year's Resolution One Night in Brazil Pre-show in America
1) Steven Kagemann vs. Ken Slayer: Kagemann is far too good to be opening a pre-show even on a special pre-show like this. But it seems like he was in this bout to work with the youngster as he does backstage helping the other younger talent. Kagemann punished Slayer who then fought for a comeback hitting a lovely belly to belly off the top Kurt Angle style. Kagemann still won with the DeathDrive.
2) Dave Demento vs. El Hijo de Angel Custodio: Simple enough match, Demento messes with the crowd, El Hijo fights back with Lucha spots. They did a good spot where El Hijo springboarded in and Demento blasted him with a spinning backfist. A backdrop led to the F***trd.
3) Red Fire vs. Beast Kong vs. Kourtney Love vs. Rose Parkland vs. Wasp vs. Taliah Winters: In an over the top battle royal to crown a number one contender to the Women’s Championship. Wasp last eliminated Kong to win.
4) Matt Spade and Jacob Ryler vs. Zakk Static and LyNN: In a “strange bedfellows” match, it was the faces who got along much better than one half of Knife Fight and one fifth of Revolution X. Veterans Spade and Ryler have known each other for over eight years and probably never teamed but they looked good. They won after Ryler’s Legdrop on Zakk.
5) Cody Rejero vs. Daniel Sinn: Fun singles action to lead into the break. Cody was over and brought the comedy while Sinn just wanted to wrestle. Lots of fun spots with some actually good wrestling in-between. Cody won with the Pepsi Driver.
Intermission. Cody stayed out at the break and said he would make 2017 his year. Zakk Static made his way out and mocked Cody calling him a joke. Zakk said Cody didn’t belong in SNW. Cody challenged him to get in the ring but Zakk didn’t.
6) Jack Powers vs. Nick Jacobs: Excellent technical bout but would you expect anything less from Powers, who must be the best pure wrestler on the planet. Jacobs is no slouch either, he’s a great technician. The entire match was technical based with holds and submissions. A change from SNW’s usual matches but the fans appreciated it. Powers tried for the Choke Out all match, when he finally locked it in, Jacobs was tapping.
Powers got on the mic post match and said, like everyone does at the beginning of the year, that 2017 was his year. He said he’s been out of the main event for years and traced that back to the end of the United Front. He blamed the end of the United Front on one man, and now wants revenge, Evan Pagano.
7) Mike Bockwinkel vs. Jet Jaguar: Great main event, good luck to the boys in Brazil who will have to follow this. The match went just shy of twenty minutes. Which is the benefit of having this on a different show, as it gets more time. Bockwinkel wore down Jag but the youngster kept fighting back with such vigour. The match even broke down to a strike fist which is very unlike both men. Fans ate it up and went mad when Jag hit the TTM but the masked warrior was too tired to pin. Bock also hit the Bockwinkel Special but Jag kicked out. Bock eventually hit the Championship special for the win.
Standing O for both me. Jag in a rookie move offered the hand. Bock walked away which I am sure was out of respect as usually he would have smacked him.
One Night in Brazil Live from Citibank Hall, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, Only on SNW Player
There’s a good crowd in Brazil. But SNW know that there will be very little diehard SNW fans and instead the majority of them will be casual fans. So this will be a shorter show than usual. Also, the show seems quite highflying based which SNW must thinks will go over well in Brazil.
1) Baby J Jamerson and Joseph Stone vs. Joseph Brothers: Hot crowd for the opener helped by the Baby J and J Stone heeling it up: they came out in Argentina soccer tops and a soccer ball, they threw a Brazil flag on the floor and Cameron Stone was at ringside to insult the fans. For the match, the young heels wore down Matt and Jack Joseph until a hot tag was made and the highflying begun. There were stereo dives to the floor which got a great reaction. But back in the ring, Stone distracted the referee, which led to a low blow and a moonsault from his son for the win.
The heels got great heat, it was very cheap heat but well worked by SNW to get the crowd buzzing from the opening contest. After the match Jack Joseph was annoyed at his brother. He shouted at him before helping him to his feet. Then he kicked him between the legs! Then he dropped him with a powerbomb to quite good heat.
2) Mike Hogan vs. Jason Williams: Fans didn’t know what to think of either man in this match. Hogan is a cocky face but looked quite heel-ish here and wearing a Union Jack attire didn’t help either. Meanwhile Jason is a highflyer but a heel. Good back and forth fast paced action action, fans warmed to Hogan because he has such a good moveset. Hogan won with the Futurism.
3) Revolution X vs. AirDevils: Excellent six-man tag. The match started (actually before the bell) with 3 pairs brawling around the ring and even into the crowd. This led to the first of many cool spots with Clark hitting his Swan Dive DDT using the barricade. The match also showed off the tension between Devine and Hammers, there were stiff tags to each other as they worked over Cantrell. Miscommunication between Devine and Hammers led to Cantrell making the hot tag. The Brazil crowd were wowed by the athleticism of the Devils and went crazy over their teamwork. The Sky High was hit for a near fall, as was Hammers LMO and Devine’s Devinity. However, more miscommunication, Hammers Lariating Devine led to the three man Bombs Away (three top rope dives) on Safu for the win.
After the match, Hammers and Devine squared up to each other and then started pushing each other. Brazilian fans were pretty into it. Safu ironically calmed them down and was joined by teammate Amy Lee. But Devine left separately with Amy.
4) Evan Pagano vs. Riley Shamrock: Excellent match, a little lost on the Brazil crowd but I’m sure the fans watching on SNW Player enjoyed. They played it up like a top level SNW match with all the big moves coming out and the obligatory strike fest near the end of the bout. It was very back and forth. Some big spots included a suplex on the apron from Pagano, which he followed with a SicKick against the apron. Back in the ring, Riley kicked out of the Calling. Pagano returned the favour kicking out of the Famine Driver and the Irish Welcoming II. The match wore on but the commentators played up that Pagano SNW ring rust led to being caught in the Irish Welcoming which gave Riley the win.
5) DUOS: Mockingbird vs. Parkland Bros: Great tag match, a little bit formulaic but still a great tag match. Fans waned a little during the opening stages of this match. It was a brawl to begin with, then the Birds wore down Duke. A hot tag was made, then the Birds wore down Axel. Obviously it was a little dumbed down for the Brazilian audience and they had to follow a bunch of good matches. The hot tag was made again and the fans got into the bout. Duke hit the KFC for the near fall and Axel locked in the Confederacy Choke but it was broken up. In the end the MBirds retained with the Death from Above.
6) SNW: Ace Bennett vs. Kevin Hart: As expected when these two meet in the ring, this was phenomenal. Even a slightly worn Brazilian crowd couldn’t stop but admire the athleticism and art these two put on. Even though the fans didn’t know the history of these two or the significance of the World Champ facing the FUSE champ, it didn’t matter what the fans were, they were going to get behind this. They shook hands to start which got a round of applause. Then they traded holds and both got the advantage on certain points which got a series of a round of applause. Then they run the ropes a few times with both men getting moves in, a big dropkick from Ace sent Hart rolling to the apron. Ace followed up and was met with a brainbuster which the crowd went crazy for because it looked like it could have killed Ace. Hart and Ace fought a bit with Hart lifting Ace over into the crowd with a back body drop. The FUSE Champ then entered the ring and got on the top rope then flew into the crowd taking out himself, Ace and about five rows of seating. Back in the ring Hart went for a Superkick, Ace ducked and hit the Busaiku Knee for a close count. Ace tried for the Syracuse Drop but Hart countered into a 450 Splash for another near fall. This led to the strike fest spot which ended when Hart swiped at Ace’s legs and locked in the Sharpshooter. Hart had been focusing on the legs all match but Ace powered to the ropes. Hart called for the end and hit the Maple Leaf Revenge but Ace kicked out! Hart called for the end again, this time setting up for the Calgary Special but Ace reversed and hit a Busaiku Knee which left both men down. The two men got to their knees and traded slaps to the face. At this point Hart and Ace had the crowd in the palm of their hands. They went back and forth for a few more minutes until Ace hit the Syracuse Bound (both the Drop and Lock). Hart was knocked out from the Drop and so couldn’t tap. The referee called for the bell.
Excellent match to end an excellent night’s entertainment. The referee checked on Hart as Ace celebrated. Hart sat up in the corner as the crowd gave a standing O to both me. Ace went over to Hart and helped him to this feet and raised his arm. The iPPV ended with another Justin Tyger promo, this time saying he would be challenging for the World title at Be the Best.

This pleases me.

Be the Best 2017 Update
Be the Best returns for 2017. Just like the previous years, the rules remain the same. The matches will be held over the next three SNW shows with any tiebreakers being decided on the 4th show. The leaders of each block will advance to Be the Best iPPV, where the four block leaders will face off in two singles matches. The winners of the two singles matches advance to the finals where the winner will get a shot at the SNW World Championship at Riot Act X. Below are the entrants for the 2017 Be the Best. Below that is the 4 blocks and how the tournament works.
Mike Bockwinkel: Winner 2014 Carson Clark Dave Demento Jordan Devine: Winner 2016 Chris Hammers Kevin Hart Mike Hogan: Winner 2013 Evan Pagano Nick Jacobs Jet Jaguar Steven Kagemann Jack Powers Cody Rejero Safu Riley Shamrock: Winner 2015 Daniel Sinn
Blocks
BLOCK A Carson Clark Mike Hogan Evan Pagano Safu
BLOCK B Nick Jacobs Steven Kagemann Jack Powers Riley Shamrock
BLOCK C Jordan Devine Chris Hammers Jet Jaguar Cody Rejero
BLOCK D Mike Bockwinkel Dave Demento Kevin Hart Daniel Sinn
How Be the Best 2017 works: There are four competitors in each block. Each competitor will face each other once inside their own block. The match result will correspond to certain points. The competitor with the highest score in each block will advance though to the final four. The final four will then face off on the Be the Best iPPV to truly decide who will Be the Best. The matches will take place over three shows in three weeks with any tiebreakers taking place on the fourth show.
How the blocks work: A win earns the competitor 2 points, a loss earns a competitor nothing and any type of draw will give both men 1 point each. Draws will include a time limit draw of any match which exceeds 20 minutes. If there is a draw for first place at the end of the competition then the tie-breaker matches will take place the following week.

Safu’s Cousin Joins SNW
Johnny Faosiliva, the cousin of current SNW athlete Safu has agreed to join SNW. The 19 year old has always been a promising sportsman, he was a promising rugby player before most recently training in MMA. In October last year he won his first fight by TKO in the second round. But he has decided on another career move into pro wrestling. He will begin training with Drew Parkland and will be expected to make his debut on a Synergy show later this year.
Speaking about joining SNW on Twitter he said “I can’t wait to get started. Off to gym now #GymReady”. Speaking on a podcast the day of the announcement trainer/commentator/former wrestler Drew Parkland said “He’s a big good looking lad, he’s got the look and something that’s different to what SNW’s currently got. Of course, he doesn’t have previous wrestling experience, so that’s a challenge. We’ve got a session booked later this week, we’ll see how he’ll do but it is early days, so I couldn’t really say much.”
In other news, Chris Hammers has taken over training duties from Drew Parkland in the SNW Academy. Parkland has been both training the new students at the Academy and running Synergy Wrestling. But now SNW officials feel it would be better to separate the two which would benefit the young wrestlers. Under the new system, new students like Faosilvia will start of training with Hammers. Then once SNW feel they the student can perform they get their first match in Synergy. After gaining some experience in the ring they then advance to SNW alongside performing in Synergy.

Blitzkrieg Bop The Ramones Weekend – Night 1 Be the Best Qualifying – Night 1
1) BLOCK A: Carson Clark vs. Mike Hogan: Great opening bout, only lasting 7 minutes but at the pace these two went they packed plenty in. Hogan got a “welcome back” chant but seemed cockier than when he left for Japan. Hogan won with the Futurism. I would love to see these two in a longer match.
2) BLOCK C: Jet Jaguar vs. Cody Rejero: Another quick short match, some good chain wrestling to start with Jag continuing to show why he’s one of SNW’s constantly consistent performers. Jag won here with the TTM.
3) DUOS: Mockingbird vs. Jacob Ryler and El Hijo de Angel Custodio: A break in the action as the Duos titles were put on the line. The teams didn’t have enough time to do hot tags and instead went straight into the final part of the match with dives and tag moves. The champs successfully retained this fun bout with the Death From Above.
4) BLOCK D: Mike Bockwinkelvs. Dave Demento: Funny opening to this bout between two of SNW’s most hated. Bock offered the handshake, Demento accepted then they both kicked each other between the legs at the same time. As this was placed early on in the night, it wasn't given much time. Bock worked over the neck and won with the Bockwinkel Special.
5) BLOCK B: Nick Jacobs vs. Steven Kagemann: This only lasted three minutes. Nick got the better of Kagemann on a few occasions so Kagemann went to the outside and threw a chair into the ring which distracted both the ref and his opponent. He then entered with another chair and battered Jacobs with it. He then placed the chair on top of him and hit a diving foot stop. Jacobs wins via DQ.
6) Jack Joseph vs. Ken Slayer: Another break from the tournament action. Although fans didn’t really care for another short bout. This was to show off Jack’s new heel persona, he beat around Slayer and put him down with a Pele kick. He did get good heel heat from the crowd, this may be a career reinvention for Joseph.
7) BLOCK A: Evan Pagano vs. Safu: Finally a back and forth bout, the fans had to wait until the match before the break. Very good story of the dominant Samoan and Pagano wearing him down, which was helped as these two are good friends outside of the ring. Plenty of good spots too including Safu smashing himself into the barricade and Pagano following up with the SicKick. Later on back in the ring, Pagano hit another SickKick, he tried to follow it up with a Calling but was caught by a Samoan Drop which continued Pagano’s losing streak.
Intermission. Lots of short matches early on in the card which suggests the final three matches will be given plenty of time.
8) BLOCK D: Kevin Hart vs. Daniel Sinn: As you’d expect from these two this was an excellent technical bout. There was history in this bout as Hart took the FUSE title off Sinn at last year’s Riot Act. The match ended with a strike fest ending with a Hart superkick and a Maple Leaf Revenge.
SNW World Champion, Ace Bennett came out to the ring to chants of “Best in the World”. He talked a bit about winning the title and how much it means to him. He said about how some people thought his win was a mistake of a fluke, he said he will prove all the doubters wrong. He said as a fighting champion and accepted TCW’s Justin Tyger’s challenge for Be the Best iPPV. He said as a fighting champ he will host an open challenge tomorrow night with the title on the line.
9) BLOCK B: Jack Powers vs. Riley Shamrock: Into the big main events, these two have been former tag partners and rivals. Lots of technical action to start with fans loving all the holds and submissions. The action stepped up when Powers slapped Riley and the “Gunslinger” responded with the Mui Tai knees. Things got nasty from the on with a Tiger Driver on the apron, a missed floor dive from Riley and Powers hitting the Danielson Special from the top. Both guys finishers were teased but none were hit. Another strike fest ended this bout with both men KO’ing each other as the 20 minute time limit sounded.
Powers got on the mic after Riley left, he was disappointed. He repeated his promo from the Brazil Pre-show, stated, like everyone does at the beginning of the year, that 2017 was his year. He said he’s been out of the main event for years and traced that back to the end of the United Front. He blamed the end of the United Front on one man, and now wants revenge on Evan Pagano.
10) BLOCK C: Jordan Devine vs. Chris Hammers: Epic main event, as real life best friends these two have fantastic chemistry. These two beat all the tension out of each other, just slugging each other from the opening bell. Just brutal strikes. The bout then slowed to resemble a match but they broke out into another brawl on the outside before they got back in the ring where Hammers killed Devine with a Lariat. But he kicked out. Devine hit Hammers with the Devinity and even used his own finisher against him but it wasn’t enough. Hammers hit the Last Minute Order but couldn’t make the cover in time as the time limit sounded.
Boo’s post match but it was the right choice as both men came out looking strong. They got to their feet post match and stared at each other. Hammers said something to Devine, so Jord slapped him. The two started brawling again until Safu, LyNN and Amy Lee ran out to separate them. Jord then left with Amy as Safu and LyNN held back Hammers from following. Is Revolution X over?

Hey Ho, Let’s Go The Ramones Weekend – Night 2 Be the Best Qualifying – Night 2
1) BLOCK B: Nick Jacobs vs. Jack Powers: Jacobs had his ribs taped up after last night’s assault from Kagemann. Powers being the master of working over body parts, zoned in and put Jacobs away with a modified abdominal stretch in four minutes.
2) BLOCK C: Chris Hammers vs. Cody Rejero: Another quick match, Hammers squashed Cody within a few minutes. Unlucky for Cody he was in the way of a pissed off Hammers who hit him with a Lariat for the win.
3) Matt Joseph vs. El Hijo de Angel Custodio: Matt's brother showed off his new cocky persona last night but Matt was very much the same in his first match since the Joseph Brothers split in Brazil. Decent, quick highflying bout with Matt gaining the win with the Golden Gate Crasher.
After the bout, Matt cut a simple promo calling out his brother who didn't appear/
4) Wasp and Kourtney Love vs. Red Fire and Taliah Winters: Fun tag match to set up a four way on the next show. Wasp is the current number one contender, so it made sense for her to go over with the Deadly Sting on Fire.
5) BLOCK D: Dave Demento vs. Daniel Sinn: A good back and forth match with a bit of chain wrestling which we haven’t seen much of from Demento. These two brawled on the apron with Demento hitting a backdrop on the apron. Both men stayed down and a double countout was announced as the outcome of the bout.
6) BLOCK A: Carson Clark vs. Evan Pagano: Surely this would be where Pagano would finally get his first singles win since returning to SNW. Of course, Clark a former FUSE Champion is no slouch and pushed back at Pagano hard in this feisty encounter. However, Jack Powers ran out and attacked both men to a double DQ. Huge heat post match, not just for Powers but for the lazy booking.
SNW World Champion, Ace Bennett made his way out to the ring and as promised last night, issued an open challenge which was accepted by Jason Williams.
7) SNW: Ace Bennett vs. Jason Williams: Very fun match and the best match of the night up to this point but is that a surprise when Bennett is involved. Ace went for the Syracuse Drop but hit an insane counter, flipping out of it, landing on his feet and hitting his own reverse rana. Jason also hit a springboard 450 Splash to the floor. However, the champ was still able to retain using the submission Syracuse Lock and Jason had to tap at 14 minutes.
8) BLOCK C: Jordan Devine vs. Jet Jaguar: Another excellent bout, which had Devine in control for large periods of the match but Jaguar never saying die and fighting back. JJ even got plenty of near falls, he hit a picture perfect dive over the top rope near the end of the bout. But then back in the ring Devine hit him with Hammers’ Lariat. That’s when the RevX leader Hammers showed up, he didn’t do anything but that distraction allowed JJ to hit a small package for a shock win!
Intermission. On the whole, tonight’s action is better than last nights. Like last night, no one came out at the break.
9) BLOCK B: Steven Kagemann vs. Riley Shamrock: Great back and forth bout, plenty of hard hitting but plenty of good wrestling too. Some cool spots in this bout included: Kagemann hitting the double stomp while Riley was on the apron, Riley pulling out the Famine Driver for a near fall and the “Gunslinger” kicking out of Kagemann’s DeathDrive. In the end, Kagemann went up top for the Fire Tornado but Riley got his knees up and locked in the Ode to Shamrock which had Kagemann tapping.
10) BLOCK A: Mike Hogan vs. Safu: Both men won their matches last night, so a clear win for either man tonight would send them into the final night of action as favourite to top the group. Again, Hogan looked Cocky smacking Safu around when the Samoan was down as if to taunt him. Bad idea. Safu roared back but the Brit managed to fight back in this back-and-forth match. “The Joker in the Pack” picked up the win and the crucial two points after his signature Springboard Elbow.
11) BLOCK D: Mike Bockwinkel vs. Kevin Hart: Like the previous match, both men were already on two points so a clear winner here would send them as favourite into night 3. Lots of technical action to start which the fans thought was a precursor to this going the time limit. But the entire bout was technical based which the fans enjoyed. It didn’t stop Hart from busting out the 450 Splash for a near fall. Bock looked like he had the match in the bag as he lifted Hart up for the Bockwinkel Special but Hart countered with a small package. Bock kicked out and hooked up a Bockwinkel Special Championship Edition just before the time limit sounded but couldn't get the pin.

Be the Best 2017 Update
Two shows down, one to go. Who are leading their respective blocks and whose tournament is already over?
BLOCK A Mike Hogan [4] Safu [2] Carson Clark [1] Evan Pagano [1]
Remaining Matches: Mike Hogan vs. Evan Pagano / Carson Clarkvs. Safu Summary: “The Joker in the Pack” Mike Hogan sits in prime position to take Block A, it seems like his time in Japan has done him well. He faces Pagano on the final night but will need a win or draw to secure the Block because if he loses and Safu wins his match, Hogan and Safu will go to a tiebreaker.
BLOCK B Nick Jacobs [4] Riley Shamrock [3] Jack Powers [1] Steven Kagemann [0]
Remaining Matches: Nick Jacobs vs. Riley Shamrock / Steven Kagemann vs. Jack Powers Summary: For Block B, all eyes will be on Jacobs versus Shamrock. Jacobs has the point advantage so a draw will give him the Block. Meanwhile former United Front buddies face off.
BLOCK C Jet Jaguar [4] Chris Hammers [3] Jordan Devine [1] Cody Rejero [0]
Remaining Matches: Chris Hammers vs. Jet Jaguar / Jordan Devinevs. Cody Rejero Summary: A similar sight can be seen in Block C. Hammers versus Jaguar will be the main focus, with the masked warrior having the point advantage. Devine and Rejero will also face off.
BLOCK D Mike Bockwinkel [3] Kevin Hart [3] Dave Demento [1] Daniel Sinn [1]
Remaining Matches: Dave Demento vs. Kevin Hart / Mike Bockwinkel vs. Daniel Sinn Summary: Unlike Block B and C, Block D won’t be decided in one match. Top of the blocks Bockwinkel and Hart will face off in separate matches hoping that the other slip up. There is a possibility that if both Sinn and Demento win, we get a four way tiebreaker.

Synergy Issue 19 St Patrick Day Special
1) SYN: Jet Jaguar vs. Noah Lee: The show opened with the Synergy champion coming out with an Irish hat on for a title match. It was a fun opener, Lee’s time in Japan has really helped him. Lee is like a squat powerhouse like Michael Elgin. The champ got the win with a frogsplash.
After the match, Jag celebrates with his title and puts back on his Irish top hat. However, celebrations are cut when Dave Demento runs out and attacks Jag. He stomps on his hat and lifts up the title.
2) Taliah Winters vs. Kourtney Love: Another really fun match with two of the young women showing what they can do. Even though this was a Synergy show these two didn’t really dial down the wrestling. Love won a good back-and-forth contest with the Lovesault in what was probably the MOTN from a wrestling standpoint.
Drew Parkland made his way out and talked about the young talent in Synergy which leads him to welcoming Safu’s Cousin Johnny Faosiliva. Faosiliva speaks briefly but is cut off by “El Hijo Nature Boy” Pedro Flair. El Hijo said he needs more “flair” but Faosiliva took offence and hit him with a Samoan Drop.
3) Parkland Bros vs. Liam Hendrick and Simon Glockerburg: The Parkland's were Axel and the youngest Parkland Rex, they are still learning as a team. The same goes for new students Hendrick and Glock, they worked a good heel team here. Working as a team will help both of them. The Parkland’s won this decent bout with the Pin Pointer on Glock.
4) Jacob Ryler vs. Ken Slayer: Good back-and-forth match. This was very much a learning match for Slayer. He got good experience working in the ring with Ryler tonight. Fans weren’t into the technical side of the bout but it ramped up towards the end of the 10 minute bout. Ryler put Slayer over falling to the Sling Blade from the youngster.
5) Elimination No1: Cody Rejero vs. Duke Parkland vs. Dean Caufield vs. Elliot Reid: Interesting main event. Mockingbird teamed up and took full control during the opening stages. Duke and Cody fought back but it wasn’t enough. Cody was first to go after a Death From Above from the MBirds. Duke then did a spirited comeback, with his home fans behind him, he eliminated Caufield via the KFC and then made Reid tap to the Confederacy Choke which now makes him the number one contender.

Deadly Night Be the Best Qualifying – Night 3
1) BLOCK A: Carson Clark vs. Safu: In your typical speed versus size match-up size prevailed in a fun little match. Safu won with the Samoan Drop, putting pressure on Hogan later.
2) BLOCK C: Jordan Devine vs. Cody Rejero: Poor Cody, he is a good competitor but he’s faced off against the new rising star and two rivals who take their frustration out on him. Devine won with the Last Minute Orders.
3) Wasp vs. Kourtney Love vs. Red Fire vs. Taliah Winters: A quick women’s match, mainly to put Wasp over as the next challenger to Keeley’s title. Wasp won after Bucklebombing Fire onto Love then hitting the Deadly Sting.
4) BLOCK B: Steven Kagemann vs. Jack Powers: This match never got started, as the bell rung Evan Pagano ran out and attacked Powers. Kagemann then attacked Pagano leading to a two-on-one beating, until Nick Jacobs run out for the save. Pagano and Jacobs hit their finishers to send Powers and Kagemann packing.
5) BLOCK D: Mike Bockwinkel vs. Daniel Sinn: When two heels face off, usually the fans don't care for it but these two put on a good technical bout. Both men picked their targets. Bock locked in an armbar for the win.
6) Jack Joseph, Zakk Static and LyNN vs. Matt Joseph and Parkland Bros: For the first time since they broke up the Joseph Brothers faced off, although Jack didn't want anything to do with his younger brother. The heel team were in disarray and that led to Matt hitting the Golden Gate Crasher on Zakk.
7) BLOCK D: Dave Demento vs. Kevin Hart: Excellent bout, if more for the storytelling than the action. Demento was stalling a lot at the start, which seemed odd as a draw wouldn't help him but as we found out it was all to get into the mind of Hart. The FUSE champ wanted to go technical but Demento managed to fire his way out of it with strikes. Near the time limit, Demento went back to his old ways by stalling. Hart got annoyed and Demento rolled him up for the shock three count!
That win gave Mike Bockwinkel Block D. Demento left up the ramp and motioned at the title. After pinning the FUSE Champ, he has put himself in line for a title shot. 8) BLOCK A: Mike Hogan vs. Evan Pagano: With Safu winning earlier, the pressure was on Hogan to win here to take the block. He had to face Pagano who has been on a winless streak since returning. However, he continued to look good here but Jack Powers showed up allowing Hogan to hit a Superkick and a Futurism. Pagano kicked out, so Hogan hit the Back to the Future to win Block A.
Intermission. Like the last two shows, no one came out at the break.
9) Ace Bennett and AirDevils vs. Jason Williams and Mockingbird: What a way to welcome the fans back from the break. Highflying action from bell to bell. Mockingbird and Jason make a great trio and we know Ace's relations to the AirDevils. Fans didn't know where to look at times, spots included: a three person dive from Ace and Devils and Jason's Springboard Phoenix 450 Splash onto everyone. Ace got Jason back in the ring and went for the Syracuse Drop, Jason flipped out of it but then Ace hit a drop toe told and locked in the Syracuse Bound for the submission win.
10) BLOCK C: Chris Hammers vs. Jet Jaguar: Another top quality match, possibly best of the entire tournament (Riley/Powers and Hammers/Devine being the other two best). Hammers came out fighting putting Jag down early with a Liger Bomb but Jag kept kicking out and fighting back. Hammers hit multiple Lariats but Jag kept fighting to his feet. Jag got some offence in and even hit a suicide tornado DDT on the floor which teased the double countout. Back in the ring Jag hit a springboard knee and went to follow it up with the TTM but Hammers countered and hit the Last Minute Orders. He was too worn out to go for the pin and it cost him as Devine walked out. This distracted Hammers to who walked into a jumping head kick from Jag and a small package which gave Jaguar the win!
With the win Jaguar takes Block C! Devine entered the ring post match and pointed at Hammers telling him something. Hammers slapped Devine then the two started brawling. A big pull apart brawl ensured which included students, staff and members of the roster.
11) BLOCK B: Nick Jacobs vs. Riley Shamrock: Bad booking by SNW by having this follow the last match. It wasn't that this was a bad match but it wasn't as good as Jag/Ham. Both men are very technical based and so the action early on was slow. Riley brought out the brawling midway through the match. But fans didn't care for Jacobs, they knew this was only going one way. Riley hit the Mui Tai Knees into the Irish Welcoming and into the Ode to Shamrock. Jacobs was KO'ed so the referee called for the bell.
Riley wins Block B and for the second year in a row, we know all four Block winners without any tiebreakers. Riley got a good reaction post match. He took the mic, thanked the fans for coming and said he was going to win Be the Best and win the title back at Riot Act X.

Be the Best 2017 Update
After three blockbuster shows, we have our four Block winners.
BLOCK A Mike Hogan [6] Safu [4] Carson Clark [1] Evan Pagano [1]
Summary: “The Joker in the Pack” Mike Hogan, as expected, takes Block A. Safu chased him till the end but came up short. Both Clark and Pagano end on one point a piece.
BLOCK B Riley Shamrock [5] Nick Jacobs [4] Jack Powers [2] Steven Kagemann [2]
Summary: In a tight Block, "Gunslinger" Riley Shamrock takes the Block from the grasp of Nick Jacobs. Both Powers and Kagemann end on two points each.
BLOCK C Jet Jaguar [6] Chris Hammers [3] Jordan Devine [3] Cody Rejero [0]
Summary: In the shock of the tournament, Jaguar takes Block C ahead of both Chris Hammers and Jordan Devine who let their personal feelings get the better of them. Cody becomes the only man to finish pointless but he did have a very tough group (at least Dr Who is back on the tele, that will make him feel better).
BLOCK D Mike Bockwinkel [5] Kevin Hart [3] Dave Demento [3] Daniel Sinn [1]
Summary: Block D could have gone two ways but Demento's shock win over Hart gave Mike Bockwinkel the Block. Sinn ends the tournament bottom of the block with one point.
