Alt:Pro 2 2017 – Panic ModeThe tournament to crown the first Alt:Pro Junior Champion kicked off with the first three-way between Vincent Valintino, Pablo 'Speedy' Gonzalez and newcomer Kyo Ichiban. The action was pretty good with a good tower of doom spot in the middle. Valentino won with the SSP. The second three way pitted Arthur Williams, DJ Hughes and Winston Knight. The action was slightly slower as Williams and DJ initially teamed up on youngster Knight before turning on each other. Knight roared back with some crazy highflying spots but as he focused on DJ, Williams caught him with the Excalibur. In the final three-way, fan favourite Dane Warron took on Max Blaze and Antonio Benitez who are both primarily tag wrestlers. But that didn’t stop this match being the best match so far and that’s all down to the talented Warron who rightfully won with the DeathStrike. Patrick R. Everson squashed Tom Felix in a quick bout. No meaning behind it either. Those boys from Detroit, Tobias Black and Nate Ryan finally got a tag win, much to the applause of the crowd as they defeated Falcon and Big Bob. They carried their opponents to a decent enough match. Rory Wiseman took on Jake Swindell in a good back and forth contest. There was good technical wrestling to start. Swindell had the fans behind him and much to the surprise of the crowd, got the win with a Fisherman Suplex. Phenom downed old rival Christopher Kennedy Jones in a match that failed to capture the fans attention. The fans chanted for various other wrestlers including Dane Warron, AJ Matthews and Twisted Assassin. CKJ heeled it up and shouted at the fans to get the fans temporarily interest in this bout. The big Russian Alexander Kuleshov made his way out for singles action. Crowd didn’t care much until the music hit and Twisted Assassin made his entrance. Before the two monsters could begin the match, Kulesov met Assassin on the entrance and the two brawled the ring before they went into the crowd and to backstage. In the final of the tournament to crown the first ever Alt:Pro Junior Champion, Arthur Williams, Vincent Valintino and Dane Warron battled it out in a fun three way which ended disappointingly. Warron was easily the most over person not just in the match but on the entire show. He hit some great spots and the fans thought the 20 year-old had won it with the DeathStrike. However, Williams broke it up and hit the Excalibur for the win. Fans boo’ed very loudly and chanted for Warron. In the main event the Fire and the Fury battled to two biggest faces in Alt:Pro Matt and A.J Matthews. At first the fans didn’t care and chanted for Warron which was a huge f*** you to the guys in the ring. The wrestlers eventually won them over. The match itself was pretty basic and only picked up in the final stages. The team experience paid off as F&F hit the Assisted Piledriver for the win.
Quick Results: 1) JNR: Vincent Valintino def. Pablo 'Speedy' Gonzalez and Kyo Ichiban to advance 2) JNR: Arthur Williams def. DJ Hughes and Winston Knight to advance 3) JNR: Dane Warron def. Max Blaze and Antonio Benitez to advance 4) Patrick R. Everson def. Tom Felix 5) Blaze Brothers and Tobias Black and Nate Ryan def. Falcon, Big Bob, Jugg and Beast 6) Jake Swindell def. Rory Wiseman 7) Phenom def. Christopher Kennedy Jones 8) JNR FINALS: Arthur Williams def. Vincent Valintino and Dane Warron (New Champion) 9) Fire and the Fury def. Matt and A.J Matthews

Battle for the UK: With every new tour comes a returning tournament, the “Battle for” series continued with a United Kingdom edition. Previous winners of the Battle for the UK have been local lad Mike Hogan in 2012 and the Evan Pagano who won the integral tournament in 2008. This year 12 competitors battled in four first round matches in Scotland with the winners advancing to England for singles competition. In Manchester, Evan Pagano advanced the finals at the expense of Mike Bockwinkel who grew frustrated by not being able to put away Pagano and tried to cheat to win, however, the referee caught him and DQ’ed him. The action didn’t stop there, as Bock left Pagano blooded before leaving. In the other Battle for the UK bout, Ace Bennett narrowly defeated Chris Hammers in an absolute war. These two have had issues in the past and it showed in this hard hitting encounter. Ace braved the stiff strikes from Hammers and hit the Busaiku Knee to keep his opponent down for the three-count. The finals of the Battle for the UK will take place in Wales where Bennett will take on Pagano with the winner challenging for the World title at EIGHT.
A War in the Skies: The Duos title situation is not entirely straight forward. The two rival teams the AirDevils and Mockingbird both hold one of the titles each. Which has led to some confusion. It hasn’t helped that AirDevils leader, Carson Clark and friend of Mockingbird, Jason Williams have joined in. After two draws between the trios, the six-men met in a ladder match, with the first team to bring down the titles being crowned champion. After some insane action which included a 630 off the ladder from daredevil Jason, Gerard and Reid from opposite sides pulled down the title, leaving us with one AirDevil and one Mockingbird as champs again, aka the AirBirds.
Another Riot in Scotland: When Dave Demento last visited Scotland he changed himself from rookie into a fast talking, hell raising bada**. He returned to the land of the Scots (in the main event none-the-less) to defend his FUSE Championship against Scotland’s own Jacob Ryler. DD played the match great and the fans were on the cusp of rioting a few times. DD eventually put Ryler down with not one, not two but three F***tards. His post match promo was brilliantly played, putting himself over on how much he has grown since last time he was in Scotland and mocking both Ryler and the Scots.
The Proud Champion: Demento hasn’t been the only champion that has been busy. The SNW World Champion, Riley Shamrock has defended his title twice successfully against two members of the Original 16, Daniel Sinn and Steven Kagemann. He also got the pin in a six-man tag. Riley will be eagerly waiting the result of the Battle for the UK final as he will find out who he is facing at EIGHT.
Women Rivals: Two women have been at each other’s throats in the UK. Youngsters Kourtney Love and Revolution X’s Taliah Winters are quickly becoming rivals. Winters got the win over Love in mixed tag in Ireland but Love pinned Winters in a singles bout in Scotland. Then in Manchester, Winters attacked Love during a match. Now the two will meet in Cardiff to settle the score.

Synergy Issue 21 Newcastle, England
Drew Parkland came out to welcome the fans. He was cut off by Dave Demento, he was getting “F***tard” chants so we knew immediately this was going to be different to Synergy’s usual family friendly shows. He ran down Drew reminding him that it was his punt that finished Drew’s career. But DD said it wasn’t the “old man” he was after. He said his eldest son, Duke cost him the title at the last show and wants him tonight. Duke showed up on the apron and accepted. DD then hit Drew with the mic and ran before Drew could get revenge for his father. Drew then announced that the two will face off in an “Anything Goes” match.
1) Jacob Ryler and Tatu vs. Zakk Static and Justin Allusion: These four worked the same match from the Anniversary show: Zakk and Allusion beat down Ryler, Ryler hot tags out, Tatu clears and wins. Tatu did a bit more in this bout but since he only got into wrestling this year they are taking it slow.
2) Taliah Winters, Red Fire and Gertude Von Grimm vs. Kourtney Love, Wasp and Mary Mayfield: A good six women’s tag match. Women’s Champ, Wasp was a welcome addition and added the experience, while contrastingly, Grimm and Mayfield were in their second match. All six had time in the ring, there were even dives to the floor when Love hit a Suicide Dive and Fire hit a rough looking Asai Moonsault. The heels got the win when Winters pinned Wasp with her feet on the ropes.
3) Parkland Family vs. Noah Lee, Liam Hendrick and Simon Glockerburg: Really fun six-man tag which the Newcastle fans just loved. Partly because Drew Parkland was in action, teaming with his sons Axel and Rex. All three were very over and although they faced an inexperienced trio, Lee, Hendrick and Glock played great heels. They beat down Rex until he hot tagged to Drew. This led to Axel and Rex diving to the floor allowing their father Drew to lock in the Confederacy Choke on Glock for the win.
4) Mike Hogan vs. Dean Caufield: Great ovation for the London born former SNW World Champ. He took on one half of Mockingbird. This was a great chance to see what Caufield can do in singles action, he looked good which is party due to having good chemistry with Hogan. Despite a few near falls, Hogan won with the Futurism.
5) Ken Slayer vs. Cody Rejero: The son of the legendary Ricky Slayer is getting some great opportunities at Synergy as he keeps being paired up with experienced members of the roster to learn of them. As a result Slayer is improving at a rapid rate. He and Cody had a good technical start before they turned it into a SNW style match. Slayer won over the crowd but missed the Slingblade falling on his backside allowing Cody to capitalise with the Pepsi Driver.
Intermission. Handshake from both men post-match and the two stayed out at the break. Cody is obviously loved due to his overall funness.
6) SYN: Jet Jaguar vs. Elliot Reid: Really fast paced bout to welcome the fans back from the break, not going on last allowed these two to just start the quick stuff from the bell. There were some awesome spots that you probably wouldn’t usually see in Synergy but the Newcastle crowd brought out the SNW side of Synergy. Jag hit a picture perfect springboard rana while Reid hit a step-up springboard 450 to the floor. Reid went for the Spanish Fly, Jag slid out but was kicked in the face. Reid went for the Ell-evation, missed, rolled through but was met with a head kick. Jag then went up top and hit the Frog Spash for the win. Chants of “Eddie” filled the venue.
7) Anything Goes: Dave Demento vs. Duke Parkland: When Synergy comes to the UK, the family friendly atmosphere goes out the window, this was most clear in the main event where rivals Demento and Duke Parkland had a brutal anything goes match. They battled into the crowd. Duke took plenty of chair shots but the son of Drew Parkland battled back with a suplex through the merch table. In the ring DD brought out a trash can and shouted about how suitable it was considering Duke is “white trash”. But DD took the big bump off the trash can when Duke hit Shane O-Mac’s Coast-to-Coast move. Duke then hit the KFC but DD powered out. The two continued their war where DD hit the Breaking Bad onto a chair for another near fall. Duke tried to lock in the Confederacy Choke but DD hit him with metal pole. Duke managed to move Demento into the Dirty Thunder but the metal pole stopped that to. Demento went for the running Punt kick but ran straight into a sick chair shot. Duke then locked in the Confederacy Choke and Demento tapped.

NewsIn an update from our previous news report, former SNW athlete Henry Edwards has yet to re-sign with the WWE. Edwards joined SNW when it first launched in 2008 and became one of its main stars winning the SNW World Championship on three occasions. He then signed with WWE in December 2012 and has gone onto have success firstly alongside Neville in NXT and then as a singles competitor on the main roster holding the US title last year. Edwards contact runs out at the end of the year but he has yet to re-sign. Edwards has been demoted to Superstars and Main Event over the past few months. He was still expected to re-sign, however, no deal has been reached as of yet. We will keep you updated on the situation.

Alt:Pro 3 2017 – Down the Rabbit HoleAlt:Pro owner Marc Ryland came out to open the show and hype up the next show which will the company’s first ever PPV “Salvation”. Fans boo’ed him, not just because they dislike him but because they think a PPV will work. In the opening bout, the technical Ron Crockett took on young highflyer Winston Knight. Despite the contrasting styles, this match was a fun and energetic opener with Knight breaking free from Crockett and hitting some highflying offence. However, Crockett won with an armbar. The ever popular ‘War Child” Dane Warron took on the aimless DJ Hughes. Fans were very vocal in their support of Warron and he won without much resisatnance with the DeathStrike. The good action continued with a fun three corner tag match. The match started with two men in the ring but ended with everyone on the outside after a series of dives. All three teams came out looking good in this bout but it was the former champs, the Blaze Brothers who won with the T-Bone/Moonsault combo. Another youngster, Kyo Ichiban had a tough challenge as he faced gangster Phenom. Phenom assaulted Kyo but the youngster fought back with some big kicks. But Phenom put him away with a UFO. In a rematch from the last show, Jake Swindell once again defeated Rory Wiseman. The powerful youngster is gaining some stream and looked good in this contest against the Scotsman. Swindell got the win with the Fisherman suplex. Wiseman got revenge post-match, smacking Swindell across the back with a chair then running away. The tag titles were on the line in what was possibly the worst match Alt:Pro has seen, champions Jugg and Beast defeated the Owner’s handpicked team of Falcon and Big Bob. It was slow and not at all fun to watch. Falcon played the face in peril but he’s been a heel all along and the fans didn’t care. They also didn’t care when the hot tag was made. The champs still retained with the Utter Domination. After the match, amongst the boo’s and “same old s***” chants, the Blaze Brothers appeared and challenged Jugg and Beast to a 2/3 falls match for the titles at the PPV entitled Salvation. It was accepted. “The Ultimate Jock” Patrick R. Everson ran through Christopher Kennedy Jones. It was very badly timed as it was after the match the fans didn’t care about. So they didn’t care about this either. Again, it’s unclear who was face here so the fans had a further reason not to care. The newly crowned Junior Champion Arthur Williams put his title on the line against Vincent Valintino. Rory Wiseman was at ringside and proved to be a distraction. Arthur is an odd choice for a first Juniors champ, he can work but is technical rather than the typical Junior. Valintino meanwhile is a highflyer and these two brought the fans back despite the chants for Dane Warron all match. Valintino should have won with the Phoenix Splash but Wiseman put his tag partner’s foot on the rope. This led to Williams hitting the Excalibur for the win. Wiseman got in the ring and booted Valintino from the ring. They were interrupted by Jake Swindell who ran out and attacked Wiseman. The numbers were two much and the Englishman and the Scotsman worked over Swindell. Then, much to the delight of the fans, "War Child" Dane Warron hit the ring and cleared house. He helped Swindell to his feet and they stood tall in the ring. The main event of the evening was a mammoth six-man tag. Matt, A.J Matthews and Twisted Assassin took on their rivals of the Fire and the Fury and Alexander Kuleshov. The match was slow to start with until Assassin couldn’t wait to be tagged in and attacked Kuleshov. The masked man and the Russian then brawled about ringside and to backstage. The match then was Matt and AJ versus Fire and the Fury which is a match we’ve seen loads of times during Alt:Pro’s short history. Fans were into it (but there were still Dane Warron chants) and Matt won with the Dominator on the champion Fury. He and AJ stood tall to close the show. Quick Results: 1) Ron Crockett def. Winston Knight 2) Dane Warron def. DJ Hughes 3) Blaze Brothers def. Antonio Benitez and Pablo 'Speedy' Gonzalez and Tobias Black and Nate Ryan 4) Phenom def. Kyo Ichiban 5) Jake Swindell def. Rory Wiseman 6) TAG: Jugg and Beast def. Falcon and Big Bob 7) Patrick R. Everson def. Christopher Kennedy Jones 8) JNR: Arthur Williams def. Vincent Valintino 9) Matt, A.J Matthews and Twisted Assassin def. Vincent Fury, Johnny Arsenic and Alexander Kuleshov

Alt:Pro Announce Full Card for Salvation PPV
Alt:Pro have announced the card for their first PPV ‘Salvation’, the event is the last Alt:Pro show of the year and will take place in November. Many have criticised Alt:Pro for running a PPV when their fan base is so small. Some of the booking has also come into question, with 20 year-old clearly the most popular member of the roster getting chants in matches he's not involved in but he finds himself in a tag match across the ring from the Junior Champion.
Alt:Pro World Championship Vincent Fury vs. Matt
Alt:Pro Tag Team Championships 2/3 Falls Jugg and Beast vs. Blaze Brothers (Max and Lloyd Blaxe)
Anything Goes Johnny Arsenic vs. A.J Matthews
Monsters Clash Twisted Assassin vs. Alexander Kuleshov

Gangster vs. Technician Phenom vs. Ron Crockett

In a 10 match show in the Welsh capital, the sell-out crowd was treated to a great show. In the opener, Brits Mike Hogan and Noah Lee continued to show their skills they acquired as a tag team in Japan and put themselves in Duos titles contention with another win. Bockwinkel toyed with young Slayer, taunting him with insults about his father. Wasp retained the Women’s title. The new RevX pairing Safu and Jack Joseph defeated the former RevX member LyNN and his random partner. Another RevX member, Taliah Winters could not control herself against her rival, Kourtney Love and got herself DQ’ed for not releasing in the corner. Hart got the better of his rival Dave Demento in tag action with the help of Jet Jaguar. SNW World Champion, Riley Shamrock showed his class in tag action. Hammers had a tough time putting down youngster Duke Parkland, with a standing ovation given for Parkland’s performance post-match. The Kineval Brothers made a shock appearance in their hometown and looked to capitalise on the miscommunication of the Duos champions. However, the team that comprises of one half of Mockingbird and one member of the AirDevils managed to retain using an AirDevils tag finisher. In the main event, Ace Bennett won the Battle for the UK and a shot at the World title at EIGHT. This win was thanks to Mike Bockwinkel whose distraction caused Ace to hit the Busaiku Knee.

Final Standings: UK: 8 (WINNERS) USA: 6 CAN: 6
In the first ever Tri-Nations Cup, 12 men battled it out representing their countries of USA, UK and Canada in what turned out to be a fantastic show. The twelve wrestlers competed over 9 matches and wrestled at least once, two titles were put on the line and we had a Riot Act VI rematch.
In the opener, in front of their home crowd, Hogan and Noah got the first points of the competition and started the night off well for Team UK. They have been on a roll all tour and now the former World Champion and his rookie now set their sights on the Duos titles. Demento put the title on the line in a great match against Duke Parkland who is breaking out as a singles competitor this tour. However, Duke didn’t win the title, DD retained and took the first points home for Team CAN. The Duos title were then defended as the mix-match champions took more points for Team UK. Team US took their first points thanks to Jet Jaguar. Ken Slayer then impressively put away Noah Lee. Then all three of the AirDevils faced off representing their different countries. It was a fantastic bout, they obviously have great chemistry. Cantrell got the big win to take Team CAN into the lead. In a small battle royal, Jet Jaguar won to put Team USA on level points with Team CAN. In the main event, in a rematch of the Riot Act VI main event from 4 years ago, three former SNW World Champions faced off not just for glory but with the Tri Nations Cup in the balance. Red Dragon Press Conference - Synergy Revamp, TEN Tour and UK Return Date
Before leaving the United Kingdom, part-owner Red Dragon held a small press conference for the UK press which was live streamed to the SNW website. He made some big announcements, the biggest of which is that Synergy will be getting a revamp for 2018. The SNW side-promotion run by Drew Parkland will be dropping the family friendly style and instead adopting a more adult approach which suits SNW's core audience. The UK Synergy shows over the years have always dropped the family friendly style and Dragon said that the success of these have led to this decision. He said the main aim of Synergy now is to give people ring time who won't get as much in SNW. He spoke of how helpful Synergy was to the likes of Dave Demento and Jet Jaguar and now hopes to do the same with other younger talent. Dragon noted that there will still be more experienced wrestlers on the card but only to help the development of the younger stars. He said that that he wants Synergy to be the step between SNW and The Academy. Speaking about The Academy, Dragon said there were loads of talented youngsters both male and female who will be called up in 2018. The Synergy shows will drop the themed shows and instead be named after song titles. The Christmas show will remain with a Christmas song name. He said the first show of the new Synergy will take place in February next year after SNW returns from Mexico for the Masters of Three.
With SNW's tenth Anniversary taking place next year, SNW have a big celebration planned. The Anniversary Show, TEN, will take place as already announced in the FUSE Arena. But Dragon announced that there will be 'TEN Anniversary Tour' which will start after Riot Act XI and end at the Anniversary Show. Included in the tour is the Magnificent 10 show and SNW's 300th show.
SNW will return to SNW in December next year and for the first ever time, the UK will host the Best of the Duos. The event will remain a three night event and Dragon said that it will take place over three different locations in Liverpool, Cardiff and the final in London. A Synergy show will also be announced closer to the time which is due to be held in Glasgow, Scotland.
When questioned about former SNW three-time SNW World Champion, Henry Edwards and whether he is leaving WWE to re-join SNW, Dragon said "I can't say, I mean I would love to see Edwards back but he's contracted under a different promotion. He's always welcome back here, whether he decides to stay or leave, well, that's up to him isn't it?"
Dragon was also questioned about the who he sees as the future of SNW. Dragon was hesitant as he says plans don't always stay and people can always shoot themselves into contention like Dave Demento did with his "F***tard" promo. Instead he praised the likes of Jet Jaguar and Duke Parkland for being hard working talented youngsters. He also said he's been spending time in The Academy where they have plenty of talent including the youngest son of Cameron Stone and brother to SNW's Joseph Stone, Michael who may be only 15 but Dragon said he's ready for the ring now.

Nah. I don't like Synergy taking a more adult approach. Alt Pro could've taken that role with Synergy staying family friendly and SNW somewhere in the middle.

Magnificent 10
Since Ace Bennett won the Battle for the UK and will challenge for the SNW World Championship at NINE, for the first time the Magnificent 10 will crown the No.1 contender to the FUSE Champion. As usual the 10 competitors came out for the group photo. The Champion, Dave Demento then came out and mocked the 10, he said he’s got the night off tonight and at NINE, no matter who he faces, it will be like a night off for him.
1) M10: Kevin Hart vs. Steven Kagemann vs. Jet Jaguar vs. Nick Jacobs vs. Jack Joseph vs. Safu vs. Daniel Sinn vs. LyNN vs. Jason Williams vs. Cody Rejero: We then kicked straight off into the M10 action. The first part of this match is also a bit of a clusterf***. There was a cool series of dives spot ending with Jason hitting a springboard 630. Back in the ring Safu and LyNN re-united to take out Cody with an assisted Samoan Drop. Jack then hit a Pele on LyNN to eliminate the former RevX member. Safu booted LyNN out the ring to show he is through-and-through RevX.
2) Wasp and Kourtney Love vs. Red Fire and Taliah Winters: Women’s action up next as rivals Winters and Love tore into each other. This was the highlight of the match which is obviously setting up another match between the pair. In all the action Fire rolled up champion Wasp to put herself in the title picture.
3) M10: Kevin Hart vs. Steven Kagemann vs. Jet Jaguar vs. Nick Jacobs vs. Jack Joseph vs. Safu vs. Daniel Sinn vs. Jason Williams: The match started as before, just as a huge cluster before Safu began to dominate. The rest of the competitors (apart from Jack) saw this and teamed up in him. A Superkick from Hart, a 630 from Jason and a springboard 450 from Jag took him out. The match continued where Jason went for another spinning dive but Kagemann seized on a referee distraction to use a steel chair to eliminate his former United Front teammate.
4) Chris Hammers vs. Liam Hendrick: The “Irish Doomsday” was not in a good mood and took his frustrations out on Hendrick. The youngster from Portsmouth, England put up a spirited fight but fell to the Lariat.
Following the match, Hammers called out Justin Tyger to show up at NINE.
5) M10: Kevin Hart vs. Steven Kagemann vs. Jet Jaguar vs. Nick Jacobs vs. Jack Joseph vs. Daniel Sinn: And then there were six. With less people in the match this improved the action. The bout was thick and fast with action non-stop. Sinn went for the Original Sinn on Hart but he slipped out back, JJ then flew in with a knee to Sinn and then straight into a sucide dive to the outside, this allowed Hart time to hit a Superkick and lock in the Sharpshooter to eliminate Sinn. The action continued with a frantic and fast pace. JJ hit the TTM on Jacobs and Hart went up top for the 450 but Kagemann pushed Hart to the floor and hit his own Fire Tornado on Jacobs to eliminate the first ever FUSE Champion.
6) Parkland Bros vs. Mike Hogan and Noah Lee: This match was to set the number one contenders to the Duos titles at NINE. The Parklands were Duke and Axel who had a tough challenge against the Brits Hogan and Noah. Hogan and Lee had a fantastic tour in their homeland and continued that here in this fun match. Hogan put Duke away with the Time Warp. But who will they face, we will find out later tonight.
7) M10: Kevin Hart vs. Steven Kagemann vs. Jet Jaguar vs. Jack Joseph: What a fantastic four way this was, Hart and Jaguar are always known for cranking out great matches, when he wants to Kagemann can put on top performances, and joining RevX really has brought back Jack to his old glory. The heels were fantastic in working over the babyfaces and the crowd were behind both Hart and JJ massively. It was almost like a tag match but the heels turned on each other to allow JJ to hit the TTM on Kagemann to eliminate him. The action continued in a really fun three-way which needs to be repeated in a full match. JJ and Hart were trying to eliminate each other with both men on the top rope. Jack then hit a double Pele kick to both of them. The match continued and it seemed like JJ and Hart were just squaring off to see who was the best. Jack came in with a sneaky roll-up to eliminate JJ.
Jack got massive heat post-match for eliminating JJ. He made a quick exit and told Hart he’d meet him later tonight. Hart helped up JJ and raised his arm.
8) DUOS: MockingDevils vs. Riley Shamrock and Ace Bennett: This was possibly the strangest bedfellows match that has ever been battled over a tag titles. On one side were the unlikely champions, one member of waring teams combined after they grabbed the belts at Riot Act X. On the other side of the ring was the World Champion and his challenger for NINE. This played a lot into the match but it seemed it was the champions, now renamed MockingDevils by the fans (one part Mockingbird, one part AirDevils) that had the most problems. However, as the match came to a close they grew stronger and the Champion and his challenger fell apart. Ace attacked his own partner after miscommunication, allowing the Duos Champions to pin the World Champion following a Death from Above (Mockingbird finisher).
9) M10: Kevin Hart vs. Jack Joseph: A great end to the evening, the fans were right behind Hart in beating Joseph but self-proclaimed “Patron Saint of Pro Wrestling” was clever in his approach and that riled up the fans even more. An extra layer to this match was that these two are the only men to have held the FUSE title twice, with a win here they would challenge for the title at NINE and potentially become the first ever three time champion of the belt. Jack slowed down the pace and then took control. Jack has become much less reliant on the highflying since he has turned heel adopting a more heavyweight role. That didn’t stop these guys busting out the spots, a suicide dive, 450 Splash and even a top rope Falcon Arrow were all busted out. On the 450 attempt by Hart, this brought out Chris Hammers, Safu and Taliah Winters of RevX. This distraction allowed Jack to get the knees up and a near fall. The action continued as the numbers advantage took over and Jack looked destined to win the Magnificent 10 2017. Then Justin Tyger showed up, he brawled with Safu hitting a Western Lariat then took on Hammers who challenged him earlier tonight, the two brawled into the crowd and away. Whilst this was happening, Joseph snuck a Small Package pin, Hart rolled through at two then lifted him in the Small Package Driver he calls the Maple Leaf Revenge which was enough to get the win.
Hart celebrated winning the 2017 Magnificent 10 and as a result will challenge for the FUSE Championship at NINE. The Champion, Dave Demento then blind sighted him, leaving him on the mat. DD threw the trophy from the ring and held the FUSE title up to close the show amongst boo’s. Demento spoke smack to Hart telling him it's "Me and you again, this time you'll end up six feet under".

The stage is set for the biggest rematch in SNW history. SNW FUSE Championship “Social Misfit” Dave Demento vs. “Calgary’s Own’ Kevin Hart It shows a lot for what Kevin Hart has done for the FUSE title to be able for the FUSE title to main event shows and be the focus and highlight of any given night but he is no longer that champion. At Riot Act X ,Dave Demento won his first singles gold at Hart’s expense. In this long running series of matches that never disappoints, who will come out on top?

NINE (Anniversary Show) Live from the Congress Theatre, Chicago, Illinois only on SNW Player
The pre-show has a new look. Gone is the panel, instead Katie Foster is standing by ringside. She runs down some of the card before introducing a video package hyping the Hart/Demento feud. We then cuts to Paul Morgan backstage who is interviewing wrestlers. He speaks about tonight's pre-show which contains some new wrestlers who have been performing in Synergy. He welcomes two of these in Liam Hendrick and Simon Glockerburg. They cut a simple promo about bringing in the ‘new’ into SNW.
P1) Mary Mayfield vs. Gertrude Von Grimm: These two women debuted on Synergy earlier this year. Grimm dominated and looks the better of the two. The fans got behind Mary who got some near falls but Grimm’s Death Valley Driver earnt her the win.
Katie Foster is back at ringside, she introduces a video of Justin Tyger in TCW hyping up his match with Chris Hammers. When it returns we go back to Paul Morgan backstage with Cody Rejero. Cody introduces his tag partner tonight, Tatu. The big Samoan walks in and talks about being Safu’s cousin and his background.
P2) Liam Hendrick and Simon Glockerburg vs. Cody Rejero and Tatu: Copy started and out chain wrestled the youngsters, he then tagged in Tatu. Hendrick and Glock couldn’t handle the Samoan. When he tagged back in Cody, finally Hendrick and Glock got some offence. They worked down Cody until the hot tag was made and Tatu ran through both men, hitting a Pop-up Samoan Drop for the win.
Katie Foster then introduces the main event video package and then we go to Paul Morgan for the final interview. He’s with Duke, Axel, Rex and Rose Parkland. Duke did most of the talking and is quite charismatic in a Briscoe kind of way. They hyped up their trio match on the main card.
P3) Jacob Ryler vs. Matt Spade: These two members of the Original 16, who first stepped foot within the company nine years ago, shook hands to start. They did some chain wrestling before Ryler hit some arm drags and dropkicks. They paused which allowed Spade to comment “you weren’t doing that nine years ago”. The match continued in the same light hearted vein. Spade avoided the Higher We Go and hit the Ace of Spades to win. Handshake and hug post match.
A video played to start the iPPV which showed the evolution of SNW from a wrestling school to a Global brand. The video then merged into showing the feud between Hart/Demento and Bennett/Shamrock.
1) Revolution X vs Jet Jaguar, LyNN and Kourtney Love: Six-person tag opened the iPPV, Safu, Jack Joseph and Taliah Winters represented Revolution X. The match was pretty thick and fast with the highlight being Jag squaring off with Joseph. The women have been feuding recently and really ripped into each other. Jag springboarded in but Safu caught him, Jack hit a Pele kick on him then Safu dropped him in the Samoan Drop for the win.
We see a limo pull up outside and see Ace Bennett emerge with his sister Alicia. Matt Spade welcomes him and they go inside. We then see a Bentley pull up and SNW World Champion, Riley Shamrock step out.
2) Nick Jacobs vs. Ken Slayer: A simple match, no build just an Original 16 member against an exciting new talent. The story first off was Slayer throwing everything at Jacobs but the first ever FUSE Champion found a way out. Slayer reversed a Superplex attempt into a top rope Falcon Arrow and followed it up with a Suicide Dive to take control. Slayer hit the Sling Blade which everyone thought was it. Jacobs came back into this short bout with the Jacobs Drop. Handshake post match.
Mike Bockwinkel was backstage with Katie Foster. He mocked his former partner Nick Jacobs saying that he struggled to beat Ricky Slayer’s spawn. He then moved onto his opponent tonight, Evan Pagano. He said that since Pagano has been away SNW has evolved and grown bigger and stronger. He said tonight he will show the depth in class between them.
3) AirDevils vs. Dean Caufield and Jason Williams: While Gerard and Reid, one member of the AirDevils and one half of Mockingbird put their Duos title on the line tonight, the remaining AirDevils face off with the other half of Mockingbird and their friend Jason Williams. This was another short match but with so many highflyers they put a lot in. After a match full of spots the AirDevils of Carson Clark and Travis Cantrell hit the Bombs Away for the win.
Our commentators, James Simmons and Drew Parkland talked about tonight’s pre-show with a package of the matches. They talked about how many of the athletes are young and came through the SNW Academy and now perform in Synergy.
4) WOM: Wasp vs. Red Fire: The crowd just died for this match. They popped a little for Wasp’s entrance but the two women had a tough time getting the crowd round. A dive over the top rope to the floor by Fire breathed life back into the crowd. However, Wasp fought back with the Buckle Bomb/Triangle Choke combo. A pretty weak match considering we know what the women in SNW can do.
The Parkland siblings of Duke, Axel, Rex and Rose were backstage cutting a promo. Their promos are alike to the Briscoe Brothers in style. Duke did most of the talking and put over youngest brother Rex, They also commented on their opponents tonight including facing their Dad’s old rival, Daniel Sinn.
5) Evan Pagano vs. Mike Bockwinkel: These two are two of the most experienced in SNW at 33 years each and showed all their years of skill in this bout. They slowed the pace right down to start with Bock stalling at every opportunity to gain further heat. The two chain wrestled to start, trading holds and submissions. Bock then took control with a low blow after distracting the referee. Bock controlled the match getting a near falls with a Package Powerbomb. Pagano then roared back by countering a charging Bock with a kick. He followed it up with a tornado DDT. With the fans behind him Pagano took control, even when Bock cut him off Pagano found a way round it. Pagano hit the Calling but Bock was too close to the ropes and got his foot on the ropes at the two count. Bock rolled to the apron and Pagano followed, this backfired as Bock hit a piledriver on the apron. They teased a double countout before both men rolled back in before the 20 count. Bock went for the Bockwinkel Special but Pagano countered with a back body drop, superkick, SickKick and then another Calling to seal the win.
The AirDevils of Carson Clark, Tom Gerard and Travis Cantrell were backstage, Cantrell and Clark were unhappy at Gerard being Duos Champions with one half of the Mockingbirds. On time, Mockingbird and Jason Williams walk in. “Speak of the Devils” said Cantrell. “I thought you were meant to be the Devils, chump” quipped Dean Caufield. Gerard and Reid separated their teams. Gerard calmed to get everyone down and said to get past tonight, then they can sort out the problem between the AirDevils and Mockingbird. The teams went their separate ways leaving the champions together.
6) The Parkland Bros vs. Daniel Sinn, Steven Kagemann and Zakk Static: Quick and fun six-man tag between the brothers of Duke, Axel and Rex against the rather random heel team. Of course, Sinn has history with the Parkland’s while Kagemann used to mentor Static, this played into the match as the heels were uneasy allies. The miscommunication led to the finish, Kagemann went up top for the Fire Tornado but Axel sent Static into his own partner. The Parklands then took advantage with the Pin Pointer on Static.
Intermission. Former SNW wrestler (if you can even call him that) Petey the Pirate made an appearance. Meanwhile a video played showing Justin Tyger’s year in SNW and then a promo from Chris Hammers about how he show Tyger who the king of SNW really is.
7) Chris Hammers vs. Justin ‘Soulfire’ Tyger [TCW]: This was a dream match for some. Both men are heavily influenced by the Japanese Strong Style and even use the same finish, the Japanese staple, the Lariat. The match started, as you would imagine, with both men striking off on one another. Hammers fell into the ropes and rebounded with a big boot, Tyger rebounded and hit a Lariat to knock Hammers off his feet at around the five minute mark. Tyger worked over Hammers with strikes and suplexes before the Revolution X leader turned the tides by sending Tyger into the turnbuckle. Hammers was in control and got a near fall off a back drop suplex. He dragged the man from TCW to the apron and went for a suplex to the floor, Tyger countered with an arm wrench that sent Hammers crashing on the apron. Tyger was worn out but climbed back up and went for a suplex off the apron. Hammer held on and hit a Fisherman Suplex to the floor! Hammers rolled back in and Tyger followed narrowly avoiding being counted out. Hammers worked over the back with slams and submissions but with the crowd behind him ‘Soulfire’ fought back leading to a second strike-fest. Hammers came off better this time, getting a close call with his own Lariat. The ‘Irish Doomsday’ then hit the running Liger Bomb and went up top for the Senton. Tyger met him up top and hit a superplex for a close call. The two got back to their feet and engaged in their third strike-fest. Hammers hit a Lariat but Tyger summoned the Fighting Spirit and bounced back to his feet. Tyger hit a few strikes, a spinning backfist and hit the ropes for the Lariat. Hammers absorbed the Lariat and hit the Last Minute Orders for the win. A very Japanese inspired match, some people very much enjoyed it. Others weren't so sure.
SNW FUSE Champion, Dave Demento was backstage with interviewer Katie Foster. He cut a great promo on hierarchy in the workplace and how sometimes, for whatever reason, talented people just can’t make the top. He said he has defied that. He said “the people at the top” don’t want him here but he’s here because he can. Demento said that he doesn’t give a damn what anyone else thinks, he’s here to do two things: kick peoples head’s off and chew gum. “And I’m all outta gum”. A clear nod to the late Roddy Piper.
8) DUOS: MockingDevils vs. Mike Hogan and Noah Lee: The unlikely combination of rivals, AirDevils’ Tom Gerard and Mockingbird’s Elliot Reid has led to one of the strangest Duos titles reigns in SNW history. The team now dubbed MockingDevils still don’t trust each other and it showed in this match as the challengers were in full control. They used quick tags and the experience of former SNW World Champion Mike Hogan to take control. Both Reid and Gerard were beaten down for hot tags for the duration of the match. Despite playing heel, Hogan is still cheered and by teaming him with Noah Lee, the younger Brit is rapidly improving. Hogan hit the Springboard Elbow after Lee hit a stalling Suplex for a close count. The champions then came back into the match with dives. Reid then hit the Ell-evation Double Foot Stomp on Lee for a near fall. Noah scored a close fall of his own with the Flood Spinebuster which Arn Anderson would be proud of. Hogan went to finish with the Futuism on Reid but Gerard stopped it and the two hit the Bombs Away on Lee to retain.
The champions shared a hug in celebration then realised they are still rivals and pushed each other away. They started shouting at each other Reid blaming Gerard for allowing him to be hit with the Flood but Gerard said he won the match because he saved Reid from the Futurism.
Short intermission. A video played showing of the highlights of SNW’s nine year history.
9) FUSE: Dave Demento vs. Kevin Hart: These two have been battling in MOTYC's all year. They have traded wins starting at Be the Best qualifying and Demento won the title at Riot Act. Hart won Magnificent 10 to gain a rematch. Demento slowed down the pace to start, a call-back to their first match where DD outsmarted Hart. Back in the ring Hart out wrestled DD causing the champ to retreat to the floor. Demento focused too much on mouthing off with a fan and missed Hart running at him with the Suicide Dive. Back in the ring Hart went to finish it early with the Maple Leaf Revenge but DD had it scouted locking in the small package. Hart kicked out but DD kept hold of the arm and hit a back breaker with the arm tied behind the back for another close count. The “Social Misfit” then focused his attack on the arm, slowly dissecting the arm. The FUSE Champion kept in control hitting a big arm-trap back body drop on the apron. He went for the running kick on the apron but Hart moved and tripped DD up. The second ever Triple Crown Champion then went for a second suicide dive but Demento just side stepped him. The Champ looked to retain by countout but Hart made it back in. The two then battled up top until “Calgary’s Own” fought out kicking DD to the mat but Demento bounced back up, grabbed his oppenent’s leg and pulled him into the Breaking Bad for another close call. Demento went back to the arm with multiple submissions but with the fans on his side, Hart fought back and hit a series of Superkicks for his own close call. Demento tried to get back into it but the challenger was fired up and even with one arm hit a belly-to-belly into the turnbuckle. Hart called for the end with the 450 but Demento moved, Hart charged and ran straight into the GTS for another near fall. The two traded strikes on their knees then stood up and continued. A superkick from Hart gave him the advantage and he hit the Maple Leaf Revenge but Demento kicked out! Fans bought into that as the finish. Hart went up top once more, this time hitting the 450 Splash. He dragged Demento into the centre of the ring and locked in the Sharpshooter. DD screamed in pain and almost passed out at one point but he managed to get to the ropes. Hart then went for the Calgary Special to end this once and for all but Demento punched away at the arm. Hart dropped him and then rolled through in a small package then hoisted him up looking for the Maple Leaf Revenge. However, the Champion slipped out back in a school boy but Hart followe through and went for the Sharpshooter. DD kicked out to gain some distance and then hit the PK kick. Hart was on his hands and knees and Demento was across the ring. Demento charged at him hitting the F***tard. Hart kicked out but he looked like he didn’t know where he was. Demento was fuming and backed away into the corner. Demento then charged with another F***tard. But Hart once again kicked out. Demento followed up with consecutive third and fourth F***tard’s. The referee was checking on Hart but Demento pulled him away hitting a fifth and then a sixth F***tard! The referee had seen enough, Hart was no longer defending himself and the referee called for the bell giving the victory to Demento via referee stoppage.
A video played highlighting former SNW World Champions, leading up to Riot Act X's main event where Riley Shamrock became the sixteenth champion defeating Ace Bennett to begin his second reign as champion. Tonight we have he eagerly anticipated rematch.
10) SNW: Riley Shamrock vs. Ace Bennett: As you would expect from these two, this was a classic. It was a great match and if you watched their match at Riot Act X, then it becomes even better because it was a sequel to that match. No big entrances, it was all about the action, Bennett in particularly looking focused. In a swap from their previous bout it was Riley who was going for submissions and Ace wanting to fight. Ace was really aggressive with his strikes, shouting “Get up” each time he knocked the champion down. Riley caught a kick into a dragon screw to take Bennett to the ground and then transitioned between holds to maintain control. Ace kept finding ways out of the holds so Riley kept swapping between holds. Ace eventually got to his feet and just blasted Riley in the head with a head kick. The “Gunslinger” rolled to the floor and Ace followed up with two consecutive Suicide Dives. Bennett continued the aggression with a brainbuster on the floor which gave him a near fall in the ring. Riley rallied but Ace used his own move against him, hitting the Irish Welcoming II but Riley kicked out. Ace went for the Syracuse Drop but Riley kicked out and hit a German suplex off the top for a close call. When they got back to their feet, Riley teed up with strikes but this only angered Bennett who brought out a new aggression and lit up Riley with strikes of his own. Riley fell out of the ring and Bennett went for another Suicide Dive only for Riley to catch him with a dropkick. Riley then hit a Death Valley Driver on the apron. He thought about getting a countout win but decided against in and put Ace back in the ring but then Ace rolled up Riley for a near fall. Back on their feet, Ace did a tribute to his rival and former tag partner, Kevin Hart with a Superkick, Maple Leaf Revenge and Sharpshooter. The Champion got to the ropes but “The Best in the Word” just stomped on Riley’s legs. He went for the Syracuse Lock but Riley would not allow him to lock it in. Ace rose “The Gunslinger” to his feet and went to hit him with his own move, the Irish Welcoming but instead got caught in the Famine Drier to the turn the tides. Riley followed up with a series of running strikes in the corner and then a seated dropkick. He went up top, but Ace intercepted him and went for a top rope rana. Riley avoided it but jumping to the apron then hitting a jumping enziguri to catch a charging Bennett. He went to suplex Ace to the floor but Ace countered sending Riley face first into the turnbuckle. He put him up top and hit the Syracuse Drop but Riley got his leg on the ropes at the last possible mini-second. Ace got angry and nearly got DQ’ed for excessive force, the referee had a word with him but when he returned to Riley he was met by a series of strikes, he missed the head kick which allowed Ace to hit a jumping enziguri and follow it up with springboard Frogsplash. The fans chanted “Eddie” so Ace played along hitting the Three Amigos suplexes with a Latino Heat taunt. Ace lined up his opponent for the Busaiki Knee. Riley avoided it hitting the Irish Welcoming II. Not content with this he locked in the Ode to Shamrock. Ace struggled but finally found his way to his feet. Riley’s leg was now causing him pain and Ace capitalised with a low dropkick to turn the tides. Ace finally locked in the Syracuse Lock but Riley battled his way out of it by getting to the ropes. Back on their feet they did the standard SNW strikefest spot with Ace surprisingly getting the advantage by taking out the knee with a straight up boot to the knee. He placed the Champion up top for the Syracuse Drop but like their first match at Riot Act X, Riley countered and went for an Irish Welcoming off the top. However, this time, Ace slid down but Riley caught him in the Ode to Shamrock on the top. Once the chickenwing was locked in fully, he fell off the top with Ace to the canvas. Ace couldn’t move and was stuck in the middle of the ring, he was forced to tap.
Standing ovation for both men after the match. Ace stayed slumped in the corner while Riley celebrated selling the injured leg. Riley stumbled and Ace helped him back up. Ace put the title around Riley’s waist and shook his hand. Riley then brought him in for a hug and the two exchanged words that the camera didn’t pick up due to the clapping. Ace then left Riley to celebrate.

Alt:Pro 4 2017 – Salvation (PPV) This was the biggest event in Alt:Pro history, they went with the strange choice of putting this event on PPV rather than iPPV which most of other promotions do. The disadvantage of a PPV is that it costs a lot more than iPPV, for the price of the PPV the viewer could have subscribed to months worth of the SNW Player. There’s a lot of expectation on Alt:Pro tonight and many have predicted it to not live up to their hype. There’s been money pumped into the event with a proper entrance way, new ring and cameras.
All the Alt:Pro fans have been crying out for is for the promotion to let their young talent perform. They did just that in the opener, lightweights Winston Knight and Kyo Ichiban battled in fun opener. It was fast paced and Kyo brought something a little extra with his striking ability. Knight is fun to watch, he’s just a straight up highflyer and he sealed the win with the 630 Spash.
The youngsters continued to get time in the second bout as those boys from Detroit, Tobias Black and Nate Ryan took on the men from Mexico, Antonio Benitez and Pablo 'Speedy' Gonzalez. Black and Ryan have all the tools to be a top tag team and if they are given ring time like this, they will only get better. ‘Speedy’ also has talent and is young enough to progress if given the chance. Black hit the Flip Piledriver followed by a Frogslpash from Ryan to take the win.
The night took a dip as Vincent Valintino took on DJ Hughes. Valintino is a good highflyer but no one bought DJ as a threat. Anytime DJ was in control the fans didn’t care. Valintino brought the fans back into the bout with some good offence and hit the SSP to get the win.
Alt:Pro really needed a match to excite the crowd after the last bout and the next match didn’t do that. It was a bad placement for Ron Crockett and Phenom. They played up the technical versus street fighter duel but the fans weren’t into it. Crockett locked in a modified Cobra Clutch for the win.
Although it’s odd booking not to have the Junior title defended, the fans were very excited to see Dane Warron. The talented 20 year-old was the star of the match and star of the show. He got beat down by Wiseman and Williams to incredible heat then hit the hot tag. Jake Swindell came in hot but the numbers took over. The hot tag was then made back to the “Warchild” Warron to a great ovation and he killed both members of the opposing team and hit two straight stereo dives on opposite sides of the ring. Swindell came back in with a big German Suplex to take out Wiseman that allowed Warron to get the win with the Deathstrike over the Junior Heavyweight Champion.
The two undefeated monsters of Alt:Pro went to war as Twisted Assassin battled Alexander Kuleshov. The two just traded shots to start after Assassin met the Russian in the entrance way. They fought into the crowd where they threw each other into walls and chairs. Assassin busted open his opponent with a chairshot. When they finally got in the ring, the bell sounded and Kuleshov hit some strikes setting up the AK47, he went for the pump kick but Assassin moved and destroyed him with strikes. Assassin hit the Assassin’s Way but Kuleshov became the first man to kick out of the move. This just pissed off Assassin who booted the bloodied Russian in the head then lifted him and hit a move called the Assassin’s Wrath (Torture Rack into a GTS) to get the win. Assassin just took off after the match, he's not the kind of guy to celebrate.
A.J Matthews battled Johnny Arsenic in an anything goes match which struggled after the brawl the last two men had. They fought into the crowd and hit each other’s with chairs but the fans had seen all that in the last match. The fans chanted for tables which was only brought in late in the match as AJ suplexed Arsenic through one. Arsenic teased bringing fire but AJ stopped him with an Eastern Execution on a chair.
With the fans already tired they didn’t want a 2/3 falls bout especially containing Jugg and Beast who can’t do extended matches. They were noticeably tired toward the end of the match as were the fans. The Blaze Brothers tried their best to carry the match but it wasn’t enough. The Blaze’s got the first fall when Max hit the Blaze of Fury inn Jugg. But the champions retained in a long and tiresome match with two Utter Destructions. Fans were chanting for Warron during this match as they usually do when they get bored.
The main event pitted champion Vincent Fury against challenger Matt which was a good match but not the quality of a main event of an expensive PPV. Fury’s good heel work got the fans in attendance interested in the bout. Matt used his power to gain control but Fury kept cheating to take advantage. Matt hit the Dominator and Arsenic ran in to attack the referee. Arsenic then attacked Matt which led to AJ running out. Jugg and Beast then ran out which caused the Blaze Brothers to run out. Williams and Wiseman then ran out which caused Dane Warron (who got the biggest pop of the night) and Jake Swindell to run out. They all ended up on the outside and Matt threw Arsenic onto everybody. The referee woke up just as Fury rolled up Matt. He kicked out but took a superkick and a Fury Strike. Matt kicked out and hit a Dominator. Arsenic caused the distraction again. Matt dealt with him but while the referee was distracted, Fury hit Matt with a steel chair which Arsenic previously placed in the ring. Fury then got the win to massive heat. The finish was very overbooked but it worked as other than that, the match was sub-par.
Overall, it was Alt:Pro’s best show. They are finally giving some love to their young talent but the reliance on the older SNW roster members are stopping them progressing as a company. Although it was a good show it didn’t warrant spending the cash on it for a PPV and many thought it wouldn’t before. Many will see this as a failure and unless change comes Alt:Pro the company will not progress any further.

Synergy Issue 22 Halloween Special
This was the first Synergy show since Red Dragon’s announcement about Synergy’s revamp in 2018. The show will remain the same and the change will take affect in January.
1) Parkland Family vs. Elliot Reid and Zakk Static and Mary Mayfield: Representing the Parklands were Axel, Rex and Rose who were very popular in their dad’s promotion. Axel and Rex are beginning to get some chemistry, they got the win with the Pin Pointer,
2) Kourtney Love vs. Gertrude Von Grimm: This was a surprisingly good match. Love used her speed to fight against the strength of Grimm to get some good offence. Grimm looks main roster ready already but lost here to a sunset flip.
Jacob Ryler and the returning El Hijo de Angel Custodio came out to the ring. El Hijo has been in Mexico for CMLL. He doesn’t usually perform under the mask in Synergy but did here to welcome a new member of the roster, El Alboroto. The new guy didn’t say a word and just walked to the ring.
3) Jacob Ryler, El Hijo de Angel Custodio, El Alboroto vs. Liam Hendrick, Simon Glockerburg and Noah Lee: What a first impression from El Alboroto. He started against Hendick who didn’t take the masked man seriously. Alboroto, which translates as ‘Rampage’, just hit a series of strikes to stun Henrick who quickly tagged out. Alborto later got in on the action taking out both Lee and Glock with a neckbreaker on Lee while he held his tag partnerin a DDT late, he hitting a flip through the middle rope to the outside. But it was Ryler who got the win with the Higher We Go. Aboroto comes across as a real bad**.
4) Pumpkin Smash: Dave Demento vs. Duke Parkland: There was a pumpkins around the ring for the competitors to use as weapons. It made for a fun stipulation. Demento even tried to punt a Pumpkin into Duke’s head. There were lots of spots including pumpkins including Demento being powerbombed onto one and a dive from the top rope with one in hand. Parkland got the big win with a KFC onto a pile of pumpkins.
5) Halloween Battle Royal: Red Fire, “El Hijo Nature Boy” Pedro Flair. Simon Glockerburg, Liam Hendrick, Noah Lee, Kourtney Love, Axel Parkland, Rex Parkland, Elliot Reid, Jacob Ryler, Ken Slayer, Zakk Static, Tatu: There were a few costumes thrown in this one, the winner gets a future title shot. Tatu looked strong early on taking out both Glock and Hendrick they then returned to eliminate him. The action came down to El Hijo, Love, Slayer and Noah Lee. Love hit a rana over to the top on Noah to eliminate him then El Hijo smacked Love off the apron to huge heat. Slayer and Flair went back and forth before Flair faked an injury. Slayer turned his back and Flair tossed him to the outside to win.
6) SYN: Jet Jaguar vs. Dean Caufield: At Issue 21 in Newcastle, Reid had a shot at the gold, his Mockingbird teammate had a chance here. Caufield isn’t a highflyer like Reid so this allowed Jaguar to show his highflying offence. Caufield kept him grounded but took the skies once for a double stomp which failed and led to a head kick from JJ. The Champ then hit a springboard frog splash to retain the belt

News – Miller leaves Alt:Pro
Alt: Pro Owner Zachary Miller has left the company. He leaves just after they held their first ever PPV which was called a bad idea by almost everyone in the wrestling world but Miller chose to go ahead with it. Although not a bad show, the PPV did awful in the buy rates and Miller decided that he had enough and left. Miller has previous of this, he was previously the owner of SNW and left SNW on the brink of closure. Miller leaving seems to have had the same affect on Alt:Pro. The end of year show has been cancelled and no future date has been announced. Unless somebody steps in, this could mean the end of Alt:Pro.
News - Henry Edwards Update
There has been no update on Henry Edwards’ situation in WWE which would indicate that he hasn’t signed a new deal with the company. His contract runs out in January which means he could be back in SNW early in the new year. He could still end up signing a contract extension but with Edwards only making rare TV appearances, it seems he may be on his way out of WWE which opens a possible return to SNW.
Congratulations go out to SNW’s Jack Powers who captured the NWA World Heavyweight Championship last weekend. Powers, who plays face in most promotions outside of SNW unlike his heel character in SNW, cut a promo after the match about the legacy of the NWA and how he will wear the belt with pride. Many within the wrestling community believe Powers embodies what the NWA should stand for. Powers could help raise the NWA to some credibility.
In a link between the two previous stories, Henry Edwards and Jack Powers have bought property in New York with the intention of turning it into a gym. It is unknown whether this is just an investment of whether the two plan to go into business together as a side project to wrestling. Powers has been tweeting about “Armbar” with T-Shirts designs appearing and a internet domain bought.

Clash of the Duos 2017 (iPPV)
It’s been a while since we’ve seen SNW’s yearly tag team tournament. It was held in early in 2016 but returns to its end of the year spot for 2017. 16 teams will battle for the chance to be crowned the “Clash of the Duos” 2017 winners following in the footsteps of the likes of The New Age Lady Killers, the Fatality Squad and last year’s winners the Parkland Bros. As always the Duos title will be defended in every match with the champions in. Only one team has made it all the way through the tournament as champions. How will the current champions, the MockingDevils fare? They've been rivals as the AirDevils and Mockingbird before but have been forced together. Meanwhile their stable mates also team up. Add in last years winners, a team from TCW and the always threatening RevX and this is anyone's tournament. Another regular custom returns, the SNW World Championship will be defended over the three nights. Below are the 16 announced teams, the challengers for the World title matches and the first round matches:

Clash of the Duos 2017 Night 1
As always, we started the tournament with a group photo of the competitors. Bennett and Hart got the most cheers while Bock and Demento got the loudest boo’s.
1) CoD: DUOS: MockingDevils (Tom Gerard and Elliot Reid) vs. Jet Jaguar and Carson Clark: The champions kicked off the tournament with a title defence. Gerard was facing his stablemate who he won the tournament with six years ago. The MockingDevils were the first team to go through to Night 2 when they hit the Death From Above.
2) CoD: Jack Powers and Jason Williams vs. Jacob Ryler and El Hijo de Angel Custodio: Fun match, Powers and Williams are former United Front partners and they worked over Ryler for the hot tag. El Hijo then came in and scored a shock win with a small package on Williams. Powers looked disgusted at his partner.
3) CoD: Ken Slayer and Nick Jacobs vs. Elite Racing Team (Chase Bryant and "Big Rig" Kevin Craig) [TCW]: The team from TCW got a great response and faced the rookie/veteran pairing of Slayer and Jacobs. Craig got the win for the TCW team with the Big Boot.
4) CoD: Parkland Bros (Duke and Axel Parkland) vs. Mike Bockwinkel and Dave Demento: The Parkland’s really hate Demento because he retired their father a few years ago. This passion served the brothers well, even against the high quality team of Bockwinkel and the FUSE Champion. A spot of communication led to Bock bumping into DD and losing after a Pin Pointer.
5) CoD: Revolution X (Chris Hammers and Safu) vs. Liam Hendrix and Simon Glockerburg: Pretty much a squash match, there was a bit of fight from the students but Hammers and Safu dominated and looked a strong favourite to win the whole tournament. Previously, Safu and LyNN have been RevX’s CoD team but these two look good together. A Lariat from Hammers put Glock down for the three.
6) CoD: Your Mom (Cody Rejero and Baz Hepburn) vs. Mike Hogan and Noah Lee: The fans really love Your Mum, everybody likes Your Mom! Oh, maybe not the Brits, Hogan and Lee had to put up with their opponents comedy antics but despite this Hogan hit the Futurism for the win.
Intermission. No-one came out at the break.
7) SNW: Riley Shamrock vs. Jack Joseph: Excellent match which had the crowd firmly behind them. Jack has improved so much now he is a heel and since he’s dropped the nickname “The Flying Saint”, he has become less reliant on the highflying. Now known as "the Patron Saint of Pro Wrestling" Joseph missed a Pele and Riley caught him in the Ode to Shamrock.
8) CoD: AirBirds (Travis Cantrell and Dean Caufield) vs. Steven Kagemann and Zakk Static: Since their tag team partners are the champions, rivals Cantrell and Caufield have teamed up and the fans have nicknamed them the AirBirds (one part AirDevils, one part MockingBirds). They struggled at times to work as a team against Kagemann and Static who used to be stablemates in Adrenaline. The new team picked up the win with the Death from Above, the same move the MockingDevils won with earlier tonight.
9) CoD: Ace Bennett and Kevin Hart vs. Evan Pagano and Matt Spade: Excellent main event, all four men know each other well. Ace and Hart are two of the best in the business and are former Duo Champions. Despite not teaming before, Pagano and Spade showed their experience. Although picked out on as a weak link in this match, Spade stepped up. He has the ability to perform in big tag matches. The excellent main event finished when Hart pinned Spade with a 450 Spash while Ace took out his old rival, Pagano with a Busaiki Knee.

Clash of the Duos 2017 Night 2
1) CoD: Ace Bennett and Kevin Hart vs. Elite Racing Team (Chase Bryant and "Big Rig" Kevin Craig) [TCW]: Ace and Hart always put on a good performance and TCW always bring their A-game, so this was an excellent match to kick off the show. The SNW team kept up the energetic pace while Craig bulldozed through his opponents. However, a Syracuse Drop on Chase allowed Ace and Kevin to advance to tomorrow.
2) Jack Powers vs. Matt Spade: Powers is challenging for the World title tomorrow, so this match was just to get him the win, Powers dominated and interestingly stretched Spade using different holds.
3) CoD: Revolution X (Chris Hammers and Safu) vs. Jacob Ryler and El Hijo de Angel Custodio: Both teams had differing first round matches, RevX dominated while Ryler and El Hijo won using a small package. As you would expect RevX dominated but fans bought every near fall Ryler or El Hijo got. Ryler really stepped up and stood toe-to-toe with Hammers taking us back nine years ago to early SNW. El Hijo hit the small package for the nearest of near falls before Safu hit the Samoan Drop for the win.
4) Jet Jaguar vs. Nick Jacobs vs. Jason Williams vs. Zakk Static: This was a number one contenders match for the FUSE title bout. The match went back and forth and included the typical multi-dive spot. Jet hit the TTM on Static for the win.
5) Carson Clark, Your Mom (Cody Rejero and Baz Hepburn) vs. Ken Slayer, Liam Hendrix and Simon Glockerburg: Six man tag which included a lot of comedy, mainly thanks to Your Mom who instigated a dance off early on. Hendrix and Glock played cocky heels for the first time and built up the hot tag. Cody got the win on Glock with the Pepsi Driver.
6) CoD: AirBirds (Travis Cantrell and Dean Caufield) vs. Mike Hogan and Noah Lee: The Brits have been on a roll as of late but came up short against the makeshift champions, they now faced the tag team partners of the Duos Champions who still have trouble getting on. It led to Hogan and his young partner controlling much of the match but even still the AirDevils picked up the win with the Bombs Away.
7) Mike Bockwinkel vs. Evan Pagano: In this Ninth Anniversary show rematch, these two veterans battled it out in a match with World title implications. Pagano wanted to quicken the pace of the match but Bock slowed it at any chance he got. When the match got going Bock used his ground game to control the bout. He worked over the leg of Pagano, so when Evan quickened the pace it was less effective than normal. He went for a superplex but Bock pushed him down. Pagano damaged his leg further and the referee stopped to check on him. Bock walked over and booted Pagano in the face and locked in the Figure Four, Pagano had to tap. Pagano had to be helped to the back.
8) CoD: DUOS: MockingDevils (Tom Gerard and Elliot Reid) vs. Parkland Bros (Duke and Axel Parkland): The title was on the line in this final quarter-final match. Fans don’t really know how to support the MockingDevils since Gerard is face and Reid is a heel, however, they do cheer the Parklands. The match went back and forth with the Parklands edging the control. Duke and Axel hit the Dirty Thunder and the KFC but both were broken up. The Parklands went for the Southern Styling but it was broken up and the MockingDevils hit the Bombs Away to advance.
9) SNW: Riley Shamrock vs. Justin Tyger [TCW]: Duelling chants from the fans in what could be classed as the best of SNW against the best of TCW, this could have main evented any of SNW’s biggest shows, The two locked up to start with Tyger gaining the advantage, Riley then brought out the strikes to take control, “the Gunslinger” went into submissions but Tyger was well versed in the same. The two traded holds until Riley went back to his striking but then “Soulfire” fired up and battled back. He hit a big back drop driver. The action then picked up from there with a brainbuster on the apron, an Irish Welcoming II and even a Western Lariat which all got near falls. Riley went for a top rope Famine Driver but Tyger battled back with elbows and hit a Northern Lights Bomb for another near fall. They did the strike-fest spot with the fans eating it up, Shamrock went on a flurry but Tyger hit the ropes and hit another Western Lariat but Riley kicked out. Tyger went for another Western Lariat but the champ avoided it and went behind, locking in the Ode to Shamrock. Stuck in the middle of the ring, Tyger was forced to tap out.
The competitors got a standing ovation post-match. Tyger got on the mic to put Riley over, 'Soulfire' then wrapped the belt around Riley's waist.

Clash of the Duos 2017 Night 3
1) CoD: Revolution X (Chris Hammers and Safu) vs. AirBirds (Travis Cantrell and Dean Caufield): Great way to start, we had the big hitters of Hammers and Safu against the AirDevils. Add in that Hammers and Safu have been in a stable together since SNW begun nearly 10 years ago while their opponents who started teaming two days ago and this was always going to be interesting. RevX dominated but Cantrell and Caufield seemed to have each other’s backs, despite being from rival groups. This led to the finish, Hammers went for the Liger Bomb but Caufield hit a springboard knee which allowed Cantrell to roll up Hammers for the thee!
After the match, Caufield offered to help up his tag partner, it was accepted.
2) CoD: DUOS: MockingDevils (Tom Gerard and Elliot Reid) vs. Ace Bennett and Kevin Hart: Fans were going crazy for Hart and Ace, they are two of the best around and together, whether that be as a team or against each other, they have awesome chemistry. Add in that Gerard used to tag with Bennett when he first came to SNW and we have chemistry off the charts. The action was very fast paced and had some incredible action. The Bombs Away was hit, Hart’s 450 and even Ace’s Busaiki Knee. None of these gave the teams the win. Hart went to end it with the Maple Leaf Revenge but a diving double stomp from Reid allowed Gerard to counter with a small package to retain and advance to the finals.
After the match, Reid offered to help up his tag partner, it was accepted.
3) Carson Clark, Nick Jacobs, Cody Rejero, Ken Slayer, Matt Spade and LyNN vs. Steven Kagemann, Jason Williams, Zakk Static, Liam Hendrix and Simon Glockerburg: Big multi-man twelve man tag elimination bout to give some time to talent missing off the card. Glockerburg was first to go after a Pepsi Driver from Cody, Henrdix then took out Cody with a school boy, Static was next out after a Jacobs Drop from Nick Jacobs followed by LyNN after some cheating from Jason and Kagemann this allowed Jason to hit he 630. Slayer then took out Hendrix before Kagemann took him out and Spade with the Fire Tornado and the DeathDrive. That left four which was soon three after Clark hit a Swan Dive DDT on Jason. Kagemann battled hard but fell to a Jacobs Drop and Phoenix Splash combo.
4) FUSE: Dave Demento vs. Jet Jaguar: Excellent match which was worthy of stealing any show. These two have great chemistry which has built from their matches in Synergy. Jag was on form, kicking up the pace and forcing the best out of the champion. Jaguar kept avoiding the running punt but got caught in the Breaking Bad for a close count. DD went to follow it up with a GTS after a shoutout to CM Punk but Jaguar countered with a reverse rana. Jaguar followed it up with a frog splash for a close count. Jaguar then went for the springboard 450 but the champion got his knees up. Demento bounced off the ropes and went for the F***tard running boot, Jag moved and got a near fall with a roll up. The two sprung off the ropes and collided with the referee declaring the match a draw after both men failed to get to their feet at the count of ten.
5) Mike Hogan and Noah Lee vs. Parkland Bros (Duke and Axel Parkland) vs. Elite Racing Team (Chase Bryant and "Big Rig" Kevin Craig) [TCW] vs. Jacob Ryler and El Hijo de Angel Custodio: In another multi-man eliminator, this match had big Duos title match implications, these were the four teams knocked out in the quarters. El Hijo went first after suffering a big Boot from Craig to eliminate his team. The Parkland’s then took out Lee with the Southern Styling to take out his team. It came down to the Parkland’s and the TCW team. After some back and forth action, Axel fell to the Truck Stop.
Intermission. Carson Clark, Ken Slayer and Nick Jacobs were out at the break.
6) Mike Bockwinkel vs. Evan Pagano: Pagano won the first match at NINE, Bockwinkel won last night after Pagano seemed to injure his leg. Commentary put over how Pagano demanded the rematch despite his leg not being 100%. Bock went right after the leg but Pagano kept his distance and managed to avoid any damage early on. As the match wore on, Bock got hold of the leg and worked over it. Bock even used the Figure Four on the ringpost and hit a shin breaker on the barricade. A one legged Pagano battled back but didn’t have enough for the SicKick. Bock locked in the Figure Four but Pagano struggled to the ropes. They did the same spot from yesterday where Bock pushed Pagano off the top and he jarred his leg. The referee checked on Pagano and Bock went over but Pagano caught him in a small package. Bock kicked out but fell to the SicKick/Calling combo.
7) SNW: Riley Shamrock vs. Jack Powers: On any other night, the FUSE title match would have been MOTN, however, these two stole the show in a late MOTYC. Powers has always been one of the best in the world but he doesn’t always deliver, here certainly did here. The commentators did a good job of putting over the history of these two. Powers helped Riley settle into SNW when he left Revolution X. They even tagged before Powers turned on Riley. They had some good matches then but nothing like this. Also, the commentators mentioned that Riley had defended the title twice in two nights so Powers would see this as a great opportunity. Powers came out from the bell like a man possessed. He went all MMA on Riley taking him down and laying into him with strikes. The fans didn’t know what they were watching but were totally mesmerised by it. Powers had the mount and was in full control, he was trying to lock in submissions but Riley was blocking, Powers eventually got a leg lock but Riley made it to the ropes. Powers then suplexed Riley around the ring and the champ had to exit the ring to recover. Back in the ring, Riley used his striking ability to kick at the legs of Powers. Powers took the kicks and then took the champ down again. Riley got back up and Powers did the same again. Riley charged at Powers but got locked in the Mui Tai clinch a move that Riley uses, Powers hit knee after knee to the face of Riley. Riley stumbled backwards and was bleeding from the eye. The referee checked on him but Riley waved him away. The sight of blood changed Riley, as he snapped and shot at Powers with kicks. A particular kick made Powers wince in pain so Riley jumped into arm submissions. While in the holds Riley threw strikes at the arm and shoulder. However, the former United Front leader got to the ropes and the two went toe-to-toe with strikes. Powers hit a jumping armbar but Riley countered with Riley just stomping on Powers’ head. There was a brief pause while the referee checked on Powers. The match slowed, presumably because Powers was a bit shaken up. Then the challenger hit the Power Suplex and the fans thought we had a new champion but Riley got the arm but. Powers transitioned into an armbar but Riley countered again with head stomps. Powers looked groggy as he got to his feet and walked straight into the Mui Tai Knees. Powers arms fell and he wasn’t protecting himself as Riley hit knee-after-knee to the unprotected face. The referee saw this and called for the bell.
The referee pulled Riley away, I don’t think he knew the match finished. Medics came down to treat both men. Riley was having his eye looked at by the medics when Powers found out the match was over. He was extremely angry and grabbed hold of the referee. The medics tried to calm him down but he was irate. The then charged over to Riley who was seated on the floor. Powers had to be held back as he picked up the title and shouted at Riley. He threw the title at Riley’s feet and exited. Incredible storytelling and a brilliant concept of a match which also sets up a rematch. Powers’ looked incredible, the best he has since 2012, probably even better.
8) CoD: DUOS: MockingDevils (Tom Gerard and Elliot Reid) vs. AirBirds (Travis Cantrell and Dean Caufield): These four had a tough task following the World title bout. There was plenty of build up to this final bout. One half of the AirDevils and one half of Mockingbird won the titles at Riot Act X by bringing down the titles at the same time in a ladder match and have been champions since. Now at this tournament their tag partners have teamed up. So far the teams have matched one another in each match, they have used the same finish in each round Now the tag partners meet in the final of Clash of the Duos. Gerard and Caufield started off, then Dean tagged out and Gerard refused to face his AirDevils teammate. Eventually Gerard broke up a pinfall hitting his own partner which led to the AirDevils fighting each other and Mockingbird also fighting one another. Although the match told a great story and had good action, it was coming off a great match and the fans didn’t know who they were meant to cheer for because each team have a face and a heel on each side. The action got quicker and quicker and included a SSP to the floor by Cantrell and Reid following it up with an imploding 630 which got the crowd going. Reid followed it up with the Ell-evation for a near fall. We also saw all the tag finishers from the original teams: the Bombs Away, Sky High, Curbstomp/Legdrop combo and the Death From Above. None led to the finish. Both teams battled up on reverse top ropes then the champions Gerard and Reid got knocked down. This allowed Cantrell and Caufield to hit a SSP and a sunset flip and get the win, to win the titles and the tournament!
Cantrell and Caufield celebrated separately winning the titles, only coming together when the trophy was presented to them. They were hesitant then they shook hands. Gerard and Reid, their opponents and usual tag team partners went up to their respective partners and congratulating them. Then they turned to the partner of their stable mate and it all kicked off. Reid shoved Cantrell which led to Gerard backing up Cantrell and Caufield shoving the man he just won the titles with. It all turned into a shoving match before Reid picked up the trophy and smashed Caufield over the head with it. All four teams brawled before staff and students separated the teams. Cantrell and Caufield may have won the Clash of the Duos and the titles but they are not on the same side. The Duos titles were left in the ring. What does that mean for the Duos titles?

Breaking News – SNW Duos Champions Vacated
In a video posted by SNW, part-owner Red Dragon took immediate action regarding the SNW Duos titles situation by vacating the championships.
The war between the AirDevils (Tom Gerard and Travis Cantrell) and Mockingbird (Eliot Reid and Dean Caufield) went to new heights when the teams battled in a ladder match at Riot Act X. In a shocking conclusion, one member of each team took down the belts (Gerard and Reid) resulting in the formation of the MockingDevils. The MockingDevils did well despite their differences and made it to the finals of the Clash of the Duos where they met their former partners Cantrell and Caufield, known as the AirBirds. The AirBirds came out on top capturing the titles and the CoD crown. However despite winning the titles together Caufield ad Cantrell came to blows at the end of the match with Gerard and Reid joining in. Both Caufield and Cantrell made their feelings known on social media, stating they would not team up and were backed up by their tag partners. With two rivals once again as tag team champions, SNW has taken immediate action to vacate the titles.
Dragon announced that we would crown the new Duos Champions at the next SNW event (which is also the last SNW show of the year). The event will pit the original teams against one another as AirDevils (Tom Gerard and Travis Cantrell) face Mockingbird (Eliot Reid and Dean Caufield) with the winners being crowned the 23rd Duos Champions. Dragon added that the only way to end this war is the added stipulation that the losing team must disband. Dragon went even further and said with so much at stake in this match it is likely that Carson Clark and Jason Williams may try and get involved and so the match will be held inside of a steel cage.
The match has now gone up on the SNW website with the event entitled “Return of the Steel Cage II” a call back to the infamous steel cage match between the New Age Lady Killers and Youth Culture where the losing team also had to disband. Youth Culture lost and Matt Spade and Sam Kineval have not teamed since. Also announced for the card are Dave Demento putting the FUSE title on the line against veteran Nick Jacobs and Masters of Three Preview matches. The Master of Three will return next year for the third time, four years after the last event.
