I'm not sure, i'd say if your a complete no name, you'd have no imput... look at R-Truth and Goldman, they aren't complete no names (unlike someone like Mike Knox before the WWE (and arguabley during)) so they are able to bring more aspects of their past stuff through |

Id have to say very little unless your a long serving or top level guy.Id say HHH,HBK,UT and Cena can request what they like.....

I'm pretty sure they can pick whatever attire that they want. I don't think they need permission to get new gear or anything.

Actually, thinking about it, i think that they have a fair amount of say on their attire, but WWE has guidelines to follow, E.G
Must not be too similar to a famous attire, must fit with gimmick..
I mean, looking at people from the indies like Punk, Diavari and Goldman... they still wear the attires they wore then.
With Themes and Gimmicks, i'd imagine you'd be able to give your ideas, but WWE has the final say in it

They have quite a bit of say on attire at least, unless there's gimmick specific attire they need to have.

Wrestlers can get as much of a say as they want just depending on their status it may or may not happen.

Depends on the wrestler. I think they all potentially have some say, but the politics of the company mean most of them are too scared to go and make suggestions.
Randy Orton hated his "Hey! Nothing you can say!" entrance music and tried to get them to change it for years. He even went and got Killswitch Engage to license WWE a song for him - and WWE went and gave it to CM Punk. (At least this was what Orton said in an audio interview a couple of months back... You can probably find it on iTunes, it's The Sun's Wrestlecast.)
In the old days of the WWF, guys were brought in to fill gimmick ideas - like in that Brian Clark interview, he said he was offered the Ringmaster gimmick initially (which doesn't make sense to me, as he wasn't a very accomplished wrestler, and he debuted in the WWF about three years before Austin. In those three years, everyone that came through the doors they were like "This guy's alright, but he ain't good enough to be the Ringmaster"? They must have had weirdly high opinions of Clark).
When guys would come in and take on the gimmicks that the WWF came up with for them, the WWF would design the wrestling attire. There are a few of the original Mankind design sketches in Mick Foley's first book. As Marlena, Terri Runnels would get an independent dressmaker to create her gold outfits and the WWF would pay for them.
Nowadays, it's like a lot of guys debut with pretty much no gimmick and their own outfits. But it's hard to know until these guys get fired and do shoot interviews (and even then, it's a case of trusting their version). I'm not sure why Ricky Ortiz has a discernible hook to his character and Ryan Braddock and Gavin Spears don't, for example. Maybe Ortiz came up with it, or maybe management saw something in him.

I'm pretty sure they can pick whatever attire that they want. I don't think they need permission to get new gear or anything. From what I understand and few inside friends this is how it seems to work. Creative comes up for a gimmick. They then try to pattern something for your look or something that obviously the person cannot get from an outside source ie robes, trunks that fit the persona, stuff like that. The entrance is done by marketing/music teams and obviously done by a gfx team for the video. I do not think that the wrestler has much say more than I like it or I don't see how it fits blah blah blah. Low tier wrestlers obviously have less say but I have heard of say Billy Kidman, Jamie Noble, even the Mexicools got to change something about their vid or music when they showed marketing that it would look better or sound better doing this... and they are open minded to it. Ultimately it has to fit with what Shane wants. Shane is very much in control of the look of the wrestlers. That has been documented in several books and I believe in dirt sheets. |

Attires, quite a bit I'd say, most indy guys still wear their old gimmicks.. Ryan Braddock's vest still says Jay Bradley on it, so, you're attire is mostly your choice, if it fits your gimmick..

Sydal came up with the name 'Evan Bourne' himself, because he didn't like any of the names, that were suggested by creative..
