-- As noted in a column on News-JournalOnline.com last week, Kevin Nash's contract with TNA runs out on October 10, which of course is today. Merchandise issues are the main thing holding back the new deal.
-- Christian Cage's contract with TNA is coming up next month and the feeling is that he won't be telling anyone what he's going to do until he makes the final call. With the exception of the likes of Scott D'Amore, Jeff Jarrett and Dixie Carter, who he negotiated with when he joined TNA three years ago, he told nobody about his move to the company. After giving his notice and obvious rumors started up, he denied he was going to TNA to everyone in WWE as well as his friends.
-- New Japan Pro Wrestling star Hiroshi Tanahashi said he would be appearing at the next Impact tapings. Within TNA, this hasn't been talked about much, but they have talking about him coming in for an appearance. However, they don't appear to have specific plans for him. He'll likely come in and do match, perhaps for TNA Xplosion, more for Japanese wrestling magazines and television. He faced AJ Styles at the 2006 Final Resolution pay-per-view, appeared at Xplosion taping a few days later, and left.

I could really care less about whether Nash comes back or not.
Christian on the other hand I would really like TNA to retain. I'm really curious to see what he does. I'm sure WWE will be throwing more dollars than TNA at him. I just don't see him getting any kind of a decent push in WWE though. I'm sure initially his return would be a big deal. Then it will be back to the midcard.
Where as I percieve Edge and Christian being equals if not giving Christian a little bit of an edge on Edge. They are both great in ring workers. However in my opinion Christian cuts a far superior promo compared to Edge. Edge has greatly improved over time though. I just don't see WWE elevating him to Edge status. I could be wrong but I don't think so. I guess we are about to find out if Christian wants the big cash or to stay a main eventer.

I think that Christian shouldn't stay in TNA. I mean, I think if Angle hadn't come in and basicly pushed him down to midcard position, I think I'd want him to stay. And you can't deny that he's not. Since Angle's arrival what has he done? Honestly he's floundering. On the other hand, I think he'd finally get a main event spot in the 'E. With the rumor that WWE wants to have a feud locked in for Edge so he isn't messing with Undertaker, it would make sense for Christian to come back and feud with Edge.

Since Angle's arrival - Christian's been world champion, had great matches with Joe & Angle, had a great faction with Styles/Angle, and had an amazing ladder match with Kaz.

Christian is still main event in TNA. He is never booked weak and generally wins in some way most of the time. I'm sure that the Edge/Christian feud would be awesome. The question is. Who comes out on top? Edge WWE Main Eventer? or Christian Cage TNA Main Eventer? My opinion or answer would be Edge. Past history says that it will happen that way. The WWE already annointed Edge the man from that team. Are they going to go back on that now? The only way to truly establish Christian in WWE would be for him to go over Edge. Any other way will make Christian look weak. So there is the dilema. I just don't see it happening even though it should. Christian will get misused again.

Stuck in a team with Rhino and thrown in the main event recently because they were in Canada. He hasn't been pushed too good after his matches with Angle at the beginning of the year.

What is left for Christian in TNA? Christian/AJ? It should be happening soon. Christian/Joe has been done to death and I have no interest in seeing him feud with the WWE/WCW stars. On Smackdown he has plenty of potentially great feuds... Christian/Edge, Kendrick, Triple H, MVP, Jeff Hardy, Kozlov, Undertaker, etc. Maybe if TNA lost him they could finally pull there heads out of there collective ass and push a new guy up the card.

I would like for Christian to actually have a feud with Jay Lethal and push him up the card a bit.

But then when you get realistic...you realize...1 MAYBE 2 of those will be happening if he stays in TNA Exactly. Unless your name is Samoa Joe or AJ Styles, you're not getting a serious feud with a 'big acquisition' in TNA... maybe a five minute match on Impact that'll lead to nothing. WWE is a name building machine. They'd pair Christian with new guys like Kendrick and Vlad easily.

Cage/Shelley already happened. It was one of the better iMPACT matches in Spike TV history.

In WWE I see him getting a bit of a push at first for the obvious Edge/ Christian history but then he'll disappear & go back to being a strong midcard comedy act which is how WWE always saw him. To push him now would be saying TNA was right & WWE was wrong & that isn't going to happen.
However for Christian I'd imagine WWE would be the big bucks

Cage and AJ vs the MCMG would be a tremendous feud with great promos.
