Here is a new DA custom Rampage with a FHS. I realize how big the head is in comparison to the normal DA heads. I have never made a DA custom so I assumed they were a tad larger than they actually are..I'm not making excuses just justifying my honest mistake. The end result I actually enjoy thoroughly...even if I am the only one. Enjoy. If you were wondering he was made with a complete DA Randy Orton figure. Modified the feet and sculpted the gloves, the shorts, and wrist-tape. I still have to paint his tattoos..and paint his fingers(just noticed they were a different color than his skintone..I also need to add his trademark chain...

I think you should resculpt his hands and make them bigger, then it would fit in with the cartoony proportions of the head and feet, and make the heads size less awkward. Overall the head sculpt is really nice as I've said before, and the paintings solid all around.

Obviously the head size detracts from it being an accurate custom, but it does look cool if you imagine it as a sort of caricature figure (something like the Flex Ums line). The head sculpt is beautifully done, painting is spot on, especially the skintone.

I covered up the hands and looked at it again and it looked a lot better and more in proportion...but I don't mind it looking how it does. I think I did a good job on the FHS...despite being oversized..and a great job on the tiny ass lettering.. I think I am going to stray away for a bit from MMA customs...the logos are just so damn frustrating..I need to make something so I can display my painting skills..like an RVD or something.

This FHS turned out good, big as stated but really well sculpted. I would make the hands larger to match the head and feet, would be a cool cartoonish figure. Painting looks good and yes MMA logos are a pain to do. All in all looks good, just the head and feet are too big, as I said just make those mma gloves bigger to match and it'll be real cool looking.

Like Texacide said, if the Hands were the same scale of the head and feet it would look a tad better, but i think it turned out pretty well over all

Great job Sandy I love it. The head sculpt is phenominal. Paint job looks superb. Lettering is a little shakey, but I can't complain, mine was shakey too. Sorry about not getting those ref pics to you, I forgot about them, but looks like you did all the right logos and what not. The only complaint with that attire you chose... he should only have one foot taped. Minor thing that only I would notice, but the tape job looks good and I like the oversized feet to go with the head. Great job. I have refs of the tats and what not if you need them.

you know this is really cool. it looks like a whole new line of figures. i actually like this style and it would be great for a display. don't put your own work down man. it looks really good. not everyone has to like the same thing. i think you did a great job and the head sculpt is extremely detailed. i saw the ref pic that u used and i have to say your interpretation of it is very well executed. the final product looks very nice. i hope you make more in this style even though it was an accident (some of the best inventions are accidents=). good job.

You nailed it! The likeness is there, mostly the sneer. The eyes need some work, but they are the most difficult to master. Overall it's still pretty rough looking, but it's a start. His nose also looks flattened? The feet are clunky looking, as is the tape around his ankles. It almost looks like cut-off baggy socks. For someone *SO* vocal for his dislike of decals and/or printouts...well, this is a perfect case of a figure that would benefit from some. The logos look sloppy, but I'm sure you like them better... Like I said on the discussion thread, this is a good fhs. The main flaw about this custom is an obvious one, so I won't even waste your time by stating it.
Outside of that though, the legs are also a bit of a problem. I applaud your efforts to sculpt actual wraps on his feet, but the whole area came out way too bulky. It appears as if he's wearing leg warmers or something.
One minor suggestion about that (if perhaps sculpting that part was a real nightmare for you) would be to use white pipe thread tape. The stuff is non stick, and works wonders for removable hand/feet wraps on figures.
I'm always a fan of hand painted logos when it's obvious some time/patience went into them. Sure they're not picture perfect, but they still add a lot to the figure.
Hope to see more from you in the future.

Wars LOL. I love that picture. I love the logos from far away..but when I posted those pictures I was like YIKES...I need to go back and straighten up the lettering. The right foot I actully love. But the left foot came out more bulky.. I agree with the tape around the ankles...looks a bit thick..I tried to make things in proportion..I was originally going to fatten up the legs and the torso and essentially leave it without any articulation besides the arms..but I decided to leave all articulation..minus the feet. I hate decals if someone goes into a thread and requests them. But when someone like rayferraro goes and makes them from scratch I can definately appreciate that. I would do decals but I would much rather handpaint everything..despite how choppy the end result may be. Oh and Gonzo..I know. And I knew you would catch that..haha..I originally sculpted both ankles with tape around them because I wanted to make Rampage from his Liddell fight..but I couldn't find any pictures of the back of his trunks so I just gave up and copied yours..Thanks for the pictures of the tattoos...

LOL @ your painting that's supposed to look better than decals. Sorry, I won't spam your thread with insults and I don't want an argument. I actually like the sculpting on the ankle tape and I think the big head works if it's not going to stand with other DAs, big hands would finish it off, the feet look good. The head reminds me of your Joker so I guess that's your style and maybe decals wouldn't go well with that style so that's fair enough.

But we never said our hand painted logos would look better or more accurate then logos. NEVER. But we did however say we think it is kind of stupid for people to use them because to overall sharpen your custom skills you would want to become a better painter right? But just like Sandy I also respect guys like famousj & Reyferraro who make their logos and printouts from scratch. Oh and if Sandy sculpted the hands extra big it would top it off and look great!

agreed dream. I mean of course when you compare a decal to my handpainted logos you will say well those f***ing suck. But if the whole board was banned from using decals then I guarantee my logos would look a tad better But I do agree with everyone. I'm just glad it has gotten such positive response..it has been a minute since I actually made a complete custom.

I'd like it more if his feet weren't big. :/ Though, I do love the head. Something different yet cool.
