There are still talks going on regarding a possible TNA Knockouts television program. However, if the idea plays out, it probably won't be airing on Spike TV. They will likely sell it to another network, quite like how UFC sold it's sister promotion, World Extreme Cagefighting, to the Versus channel. Internally, there is some skepticism on doing an all-women's show because they don't know if the high quarter hour ratings the women usually get will continue when they have to carry the show.
- TNA Against All Odds in Greenville, SC drew 3,500 fans according to their box office. However, the event was heavily papered as the show drew a little less than 2,000 paying fans, and that's with a two-for-one ticket sale the Bi-Lo Center apparently had.
- Some people within TNA recently floated the idea to people within WWE about taking BG James and Kip James off of their hands. WWE actually said they would possibly consider BG James, but said they want absolutely nothing to do with Kip James.
"TNA officials have had talks about bringing back the X Division World Cup. They are looking to work with CMLL and New Japan in putting together the four-wrestler team concept again this year. However, the last time TNA tried the X Division World Cup, they had tons of problems with outside organizations regarding talent and it was considered to be more trouble than it was worth."
There were odd signs this past week regarding Travis Tomko and his status in New Japan Pro Wrestling. Just one day before the big 2/18 NJPW event, Tomko appeared for Antonio Inoki's IGF in a match against Alexander Otsuka. After winning the match, Tomko cut a promo hinting at a possible stay in IGF.
One day later, Tomko and Giant Bernard lose the tag titles to Togi Makabe and Toru Yano. Now just hours ago, the peliminary lineup for the next big show has appeared on the New Japan Pro website. The IWGP world tag team titles will be put on the line against the newly formed team of Giant Bernard and Shinsuke Nakamura.
Nakamura won the IWGP third belt from Kurt Angle just two days ago. The signs are pointing towards Tomko being done in New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Not The Best Source but Hopefully true because I'm fine with V.K.M. Leaving TNA.
