Backstage in TNA, many feel the company is looking to eliminate a handful of talent in the coming weeks.
While we have not heard any specific names, wrestlers looking to be released from their contracts are more likely now to be granted his or her wish.
Recently, Johnny Devine requested his release, and it was granted. TNA is looking to cut costs, and due to recent contract renewals of some higher paid talent, the company is now more open to the idea of cutting free some talent that TNA hasn't invested a lot into.
TNA has also not flown a number of talents to Orlando for the iMPACT! tapings in recent weeks.

1.1
This weeks LIVE edition of TNA iMPACT! did a 1.1 cable rating. The show actually did a 1.13 as the official number.
This show went up against Game 2 of the World Series which likely took away some viewers.

TNAWrestlingNews.com has learned that there is talk backstage that wrestlers who haven't been receiving pushes or used lot on television recently are trying to get involved in the Main Event Mafia angle.
Many of the wrestlers believe they need to be apart of this angle since they are likely to fall through the cracks, which happened to many workers in WCW when the New World Order angle dominated the direction of the promotion.

Well I think that there is plenty of fat to trim in TNA. So i'm all for some releases. Plus there is the news that TNA is looking at wrestlers from OVW. That tells me that they are looking to introduce some fresh blood. Which i'm all for as well. I just hope and pray that Shark Boy and Lance Hoyt/Rock are two of the cuts. I can't stand either of them.

TNA should cut Creed, Lance Rock, and Team 3D. "haven't invested alot into" = Creed most likley aint going nowhere. I'm hoping for: Kip James to leave. Scott Steiner to leave BG James to leave I think that's all really. Unless, you release Shark Boy. I hope they don't release Creed nor Young.

Hmm, there is a endless list of people in TNA who could be granted their release. I think Kip James, BG James, Scott Steiner, and maybe Team 3D will most likely get their releases if needed. The rating is decent. I still call it average, since that's the usual TNA iMPACT! rating. They need to get those up, because if they continue with the same ratings, it's gonna be bad. However, I thought the live show was really good. I just don't see why they are losing viewers.

I could see these cuts coming:
Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin (not very likely, but possible) BG James (could work as road agent for TNA) Christian Cage (not a cut, I can see him jumping to WWE) Jim Cornette (maybe) Jimmy Rave & Lance Rock (likely imo) Kute Kip (likely imo) Rhino (not very likely, but possible) Taylor Wilde (not that likely, but possible)

I don't think B.G. would go because he is good friends with Jarrett, and I'm pretty sure he is a road agent of sorts. There would be absolutely no reason to keep Kip James. He has fallen so much that he is a manager for a pair of divas. To be wasting money on him is beyond ridiculous.

I doubt MCMG will leave TNA in the near future. Jim Cornette is a possibility, but IMO, TNA still has creative possibilities for him. Rhino, it's just not gonna happen. TNA has been using him alot lately, and I don't see him going. Taylor Wilde, well, that's just stupid.

Alright, so I guess we can add "Live TV" to the long list of successful WWE qualities that TNA has unsuccessfully tried to duplicate. Next up: network television.

Alright, You can get rid of: Jim Cornette ( Since Foley " Runs" TNA now) Rhaka Khan ( No reason for her since Christy turned face) Cute Kip ( I think he's used all his 17 gimmicks in TNA already) Lance Rock/Hoyt and Jimmy Rave ( see Khan) BG James ( Move him to Road Agent, if he's not already) Rhino ( Nothing really left for him to do)
