A 1.2 rating is good for TNA standards, but IMO, isn't enough to become real competition for WWE. Also, IMO, that las iMPACT was rather boring, and I feel the live iMPACT was way better. But that's just me. Nevertheless, TNA is moving up, and I think if they continue, they could make it too a 2.0 rating by late 2009, early 2010.

For a company to get a 1.2 on national tv is not a good thing. Get back to me when they get into the upper 2's.

How is a 1.2 high? Is this out of 5? or 10? Its not out of anything. It means 1.2 million people watched TNA....

The lowest rated segment featured the Motor City Machine Guns vs. Tanahashi and Volador. That's cold.

Why is that such an epic thing to people? Its a ****ty rating, TNA/Spike have ridiculously low standards in term of ratings. A 1.2 is not a bad rating. It is in terms of wrestling standards, and the fact that a lot more people know about TNA, but choose to watch it. But in general TV terms, a 1.2 rating is considered to be good, especially on a Thursday night weekly cable show.

I'm disappointed that the lowest rated match was the Motor City Machine Guns versus Tanahashi and Volador. That match was one of the main reasons why I tuned into iMPACT!, actually. I don't expect these ratings to be consistent. People were probably just curious about seeing what the new set looked like and whatnot. Either way, congratulations, TNA.

I've been waiting to use this excuse..
DVR's don't count towards ratings - hey, if it works for WWE it works for TNA.

I've been waiting to use this excuse.. DVR's don't count towards ratings - hey, if it works for WWE it works for TNA. DVR's do count. If you have the Neilsen set-up in your home; they ask you if you have a DVR, that way it can rate when you watch your show.

I was just kinda using their (WWE fans) "excuse" - how do they actually get the ratings?

I agree ^^^^ when you look at all the other shows that are on on Thursday (Office and Grey's Anatomy come to mind) it's a wonder they get what they do. Why don't they do the show on Wed instead though? I don't think there's a ton on Wed. is there?

I'm disapointed the MCMG vs. Tanahashi/Volador segment was the lowest rated. That match was really good.
