1.2
This week’s edition of TNA iMPACT drew a 1.2 rating on Spike TV, up from their usual 1.1 rating. This was the company’s first broadcast in HD and featured the all-new redesigned Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida.
The highest rated segment featured the Mick Foley/Sting verbal exchange which popped a 1.22 rating. The lowest rated segment featured the Motor City Machine Guns vs. Tanahashi and Volador.
The main event match of Kurt Angle vs. Abyss which featured Scott Steiner’s return drew a 1.18 rating, meaning the show retained most of the audience that tuned in for Foley and Sting.

They hit a 1.2 last year.. I mainly posted this for the fact that Sting/Foley drew since people thought neither was a draw.

Why is that such an epic thing to people?
Its a shitty rating, TNA/Spike have ridiculously low standards in term of ratings.

Why is that such an epic thing to people? Its a ****ty rating, TNA/Spike have ridiculously low standards in term of ratings. And low standards in the quality of their shows. It's all relative.

I knew I shouldn't have posted this. It wouldn't matter if you did or not, SG. It would have been posted by someone else anyway.

I didn't mean you directly SG, I meant the people touting this nonsense as if its something ground breaking every time they go up a .1

I know but I can already tell this will turn into a "OMG TNA SUX" thread (not at you because I understand your point).

I honestly enjoy TNA more then I do WWE anymore. Its boring to turn on WWE and see Triple H always as champion on one show or seeing the title switch hands every month on the other show, whereas in TNA they will have an "old guy" (Angle) as champion and then the young guy (Samoa Joe) and then back to an older (Sting)....I like the variety

I knew I shouldn't have posted this. Sure you should have. This is the TNA board right? This is positive news for TNA. There is always going to be the people that say "oooohhhhh that rating still sucks hahahahaha OMG epic fail!". Whatever. Any ratings increase should be viewed as a positve. Now they just need to sustain it and continue to gain. I think TNA is doing a better job now of getting people to pay attention. That should start to equate in to higher ratings.

This is good. Not sure why people are slamming TNA. Plus if Spike wasn't happy they wouldn't have kept the show, moved it to primetime, and given them an extra hour. Why does every show have to get more than a 2.0 to be considered a success?
TNA is consistently getting a 1.0+ with a mediocre show in my opinion, but hey they are doing alright. I heard it was a good show, I'm watching the replay tomorrow. Good for TNA. Why do people want to see this fail so bad? I admit I bash it too, but I still want it to succeed.

How is a 1.2 high? Is this out of 5? or 10?

I think as long as they stay consistant than they are successful. TNA is tons more entertaining than WWE lately. I grew tired of Jericho bitching after the second week he returned to RAW. Im tired of hearing 'Taker this and 'Taker non stop on SMACKDOWN, and I dont even watch ECW because its boring, and full of nobodies!
