Saturday 6th November 2004Jeremy Borash and Bill DeMott welcome all the fans watching to Xplosion, a graphic is put up hyping the Natural being in tag team action. The graphic then changed to one hyping the main event on tonights Xplosion, Alex Shelley taking on Chris Sabin.Match #1: Onyx defeated Chris VaughnThis match wasn't exactly the greatest, quality-wise or favorite wise. This match was a simple-minded one-sided affair to put over a trio originally from NWA-Wildside, Onyx, Chad Collyer and Hotstuff Hernandez. Vaughn however wasn't on his best game tonight and was soon obliterated with the Blaq-Out for the win. [58%]We cut to last night's edition of iMPACT, which was on Fox Sports Network [FSN], highlighting Raven and AJ Styles taking on Abyss and Petey Williams in tag team action. We then cut to a rundown of the Monster's Ball match, which was originally a three-way until Monty Brown got injured. Both men were announced as being trapped in a padded cell for twenty-four hours right now to be released upon the Monster's Ball match tomorrow night at Victory Road. [71%] Match #2: The Naturals defeated Mikey Batts and Jerrelle Clark after Chase Stevens pinned Jerrelle Clark This was a better match in quality as these two teams meshed in and had somewhat decent chemistry. However the fans didn't entirely know a lot about Batts and Clark. This wasn't one-sided but it was short and Stevens and Douglas had control of a large portion of the match. Jerrelle went up top for the 630 splash but missed and Stevens covered for the win. [63%] A hype video aired, preparing us for tomorrow night's TNA X-Division Championship match to be contested between Petey Williams, the champion and the challenger, AJ Styles. It reviews the recent happenings on the road to this feud, both men cutting promos in voice-overs, D'Amore mainly taking over Williams' parts. [65%] Jeff Jarrett then cut a great promo about how much the NWA Heavyweight Championship meant to him, Jarrett telling us the story and lead-up from the uprising of TNA to Jarrett winning the NWA title, to Jeff Hardy's addiction to drugs that deprive him of being a credible champion, all leading up to this Sunday's Victory Road. [86%] Match #4: Chris Sabin defeated Alex Shelley A great, fun little match here that had no time limit and was very enjoyable. This match could be called pay-per-view worthy too, more even iMPACT worthy, but then again Alex Shelley hasn't been mentioned or involved in anything much as of late. Both of these men had a thunderous encounter, it lacked botches as well and turned out to be enjoyed by the viewing audience at the exact same time. It was back-and-forth action between both man [who were also friends in reality]. But Sabin soon finished things off, nailing the Cradle Shock for the win. [71%]

I guess it's pretty cool that you're doing TNA. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to do WWE/TNA at the same time though. Realistic to have jobbers in at least one match considering it's FSN era. Wish Roode had picked up the win. Not sure about the champ (Petey) pinning AJ (challenger) before their match. And you forgot to list Monty-Abyss-Raven for Victory Road.

Sunday 7th November 2004 Pre-Show: Sonny Siaki defeated Xavier [71%]Jeff Jarrett then cut a great promo about how much the NWA Heavyweight Championship meant to him, Jarrett telling us the story and lead-up from the uprising of TNA to Jarrett winning the NWA title, to Jeff Hardy's addiction to drugs that deprive him of being a credible champion, all leading up to this Sunday's Victory Road. It then turns to Raven talking about how everything evolves, telling of his story about how he reached this point. Dusty Rhodes then tells his story in brief, saying that tonight could be the night that he becomes DOA of TNA. It then briefly turns to see Jeff Hardy walk slowly out of a door, the Victory Road logo appears. Pyro goes off on the lighting rig above the stage as the crowd explode in applause. Mike Tenay and Don West celebrate their first monthly pay-per-view and about the route of TNA from being a national promotion with almost no money into a big time promotion only behind the promotion 'upstairs'. They run through the card, putting each and every match over, the commentating duo putting Jeff Hardy, AJ Styles and Dusty Rhodes over massive, comparing Hardy as the man fulfilling the dream, Rhodes being the man who fulfilled his dream and AJ as the man getting ready to fulfill his dream.Match #1: The X-Division Gauntlet Frankie Kazarian and Chase Stevens started things off as numbers one and two, having to go on the longest to win. The crowd were split behind both men. A new man entered every 60 seconds, making things slightly more complicated. Kazarian and Stevens both tried to throw each other overboard twice each but failed unsuccessfully. It turns out that the first of six unknown X-division stars in this match was number three as Mikey Whipwreck made his way out to the ring. He decided to double-team Chase Stevens with Kazarian, though Stevens fought back, managing to take Kazarian out of the match with a stiff super kick, Kazarian was down for a while. Onyx was entrant number four, as he came out and began teaming with Chase Stevens to take out Mikey Whipwreck. Weird at this point since all the entrants in the match were fan favourites. Kazarian almost got tossed but he skinned the cat and retained in the match. Team Canada member Ruffy Silverstein was entrant number five, though he didn't really do a lot, not wanting to eliminate anybody, just beating down Chase. Mikey Batts was the sixth man in the match but failed to do a lot, though he did rush around the ring. Onyx was the first man eliminated in the match as Mikey Batts and Frankie Kazarian dumped him over the top. Chad Collyer was number seven, though he was simply out there to attack the men who dumped his NWA-Wildside friend over the top, Kazarian and Batts. Luckily, Jerrelle Clark came out to Batts' aid. Chad Collyer however, didn't have a long run as Chase Stevens threw him overboard. The second mystery man of this match was announced as Christian York was entrant nine. York simply went for the weakest man in the match, Kazarian as Chase Stevens was eliminated by Ruffy Silverstein. Entrant ten was The Amazing Red to everybody's suprise. Red showed a lot of acrobatic skill in there, meanwhile partners Batts and Clark began a mission to take out York. Red was on the verge of eliminating Kazarian but Michael Shane made the save as entrant eleven. Shane and Kazarian began to target the other complete team in there meanwhile, taking down Batts and Clark. Whipwreck almost eliminated York in the background. Andy Douglas was entrant twelve, but was lost without Chase Stevens. He did have something to do with the elimination of The Amazing Red eliminating Red with Michael Shane. Sonjay Dutt was number thirteen and he went out there and took on everybody and anybody. Meanwhile, Mikey Whipwreck hit the Whippersnapper on Christian York and dumped him over the top. Kid Kash was number forteen and he took the honor of taking out Sonjay Dutt and siding with Michael Shane and Frankie Kazarian. David Young was the fifteenth entrant, showing that we are now half way through this match. However, David Young was eliminated easily by Kid Kash. Shark Boy was sixteenth into the match but he didn't do much apart from get into a grapple-fest with Ruffy Silverstein. Sonjay Dutt was eliminated by Mikey Batts and Jerrelle Clark. Chris Vaughn was the seventeenth man in there, but didn't do much, joining Shark Boy and Ruffy in a corner. Ruffy Silverstein was eliminated by Kid Kash after attempting to eliminate Shark Boy. In a bizarre occurance, Chris Vaughn's security partner, Rick Santel was eighteenth, helping Vaughn take down Kid Kash. Shark Boy was eliminated after Michael Shane gave him the super kick, identical to last iMPACT. The next mystery man in the match was Christian York's indy circuit partner, Joey Matthews at nineteen, Matthews automatically alligning himself with York in attacking Kazarian and Shane. In a suprising move, Brian Lawler returned to TNA at twenty, taking out everybody in the ring. He got a good reaction too. Alex Shelley was the twenty-first entrant into the match and went immediately after Lawler. However Alex Shelley was soon eliminated by Michael Shane. Slash was twenty-second, running in and trying to take down Vaughn. Mr. Aguila was suprisingly twenty-third, and he went in there showing most athleticism in the match thus far. Chicano was twenty-forth though failed to do anything major impacting on the match result. Chris Sabin was the twenty-fifth and immediately went after Kazarian. Mikey Whipwreck made a shocking comeback into the match from being attacked, eliminating Mikey Batts. D-Ray 3000 was the twenty-sixth man in the match and he didn't do much except from get attacked right from the get-go. The twenty-seventh entrant was Sinn, who reunited with Slash as the New Church trying to elimnate Shane and Kazarian from the equation. Chris Sabin eliminated D-Ray 3000. Jerry Lynn made his return to TNA at twenty-eight as he went out there and took out everybody. Johnny Swinger was the twenty-nineth man in the match but didn't impact the result alot like everybody else. Jerrelle Clark was eliminated by Joey Matthews. Johnny Devine was the final participant in the match but simply took out Kid Kash, but Mikey Whipwreck got on top of him. Chris Vaughn actually did something important in the match suprisingly eliminating Johnny Devine in an upset. Chris Sabin soon dumped Chris Vaughn however. In one of the more shocking happenings in the match, Jerry Lynn threw Chris Sabin over the top rope! Rick Santel soonafter eliminated Mr. Aguila. Chicano almost got dumped by Kash but Kid Kash shifted his concentration, then eliminating Mikey Whipwreck. Andy Douglas got eliminated by Michael Shane after forever of Douglas fighting to keep in the match. Chicano got eliminated by Johnny Swinger but nobody cared. Johnny Swinger got noticed later on, eliminating Joey Matthews to a ton of heat, suprisingly. In a bizarre happening, Slash eliminated his own partner, Sinn! Kid Kash shortly after dumped Slash. Michael Shane was finally eliminated by one of the more over X-division competitors in the match, Jerry Lynn. Shane was so pissed, he got back in and aided Kid Kash in dumping Jerry Lynn. Frankie Kazarian exposed his inner-heel however by eliminating own associate in the match, Kid Kash. Johnny Swinger was finally eliminated also by Brian Lawler. Finally, we were down to two men, Brian Lawler and Frankie Kazarian, who was the first entrant into the gauntlet. The bell sounded again, the rules now being that the winner was the man to pin, submit or dump their opponent. Both men made this match look great, Lawler really hasn't lost any skill despite not being on national television let alone a pay-per-view. Michael Shane even came down to ringside to run interference for Frankie Kazarian but Brian Lawler managed to cut him off. Lawler could of had the win many different times during this match only for Michael Shane to break up each and every single one of those attempts. Chris Sabin however was luckily there for Lawler, as Sabin took out Shane on the outside. Kazarian almost had it with a frankensteiner from the top rope but Lawler powerbombed him from the top inside. Lawler got the goggles out and hit the Hip Hop Drop for the eventual win at the 37:09 mark!Winner: Brian Lawler [66%] Following the epic contest, Jeremy Borash begins to make his way out to the arena as he walks on down the rampway and tries to catch a word with Brian Lawler and Chris Sabin following Lawler's epic win. Lawler says that he came back to TNA to come and dominate the place he failed to dominate back in 2002, and that wasn't the NWA Heavyweight Championship title division, it was the TNA X-Division Championship division. Lawler vows for him to win the X-Division Championship from whomever it might be at Turning Point, whether it be AJ Styles or Petey Williams. Chris Sabin kindly puts Lawler over saying that he might as well let Lawler have his moment since Sabin had already completed his mission in not letting Shane or Kazarian win the gauntlet. [72%] We cut to the backstage area from there, where we see Vince Russo on a cell phone as Shane Douglas sneaks in trying to catch a word with the current Director of Authority, Vince Russo. Russo tells Shane Douglas to go away, telling him that it's an important night for him and Total Non-Stop Action tonight because he is going to retain his position as DOA by defeating Dusty Rhodes in the Election tonight. Douglas walks away from Russo, telling the viewers at home to vote who they want to see as the new DOA, telling us to text 'VOTERUSSO1' or 'VOTEDUSTY2' on our cell phones as the lines will close in an hour. [75%] The election video that aired for Dusty Rhodes last Friday afternoon on iMPACT airs, hyping up tonight's election in search of the DOA of TNA wrestling. [85%] Match #2: 3 Live Kru defeated Team Canada by count-out; Team Canada retain the NWA World Tag Team Championships This was actually a decent match, though the feud has led out to be one resembling a curtain-jerker prior to tonight's possible climax of the rivalry. Three Live Kru seemed confident in this as it was announced that it will be BG James and Ron Killings representing 3 Live Kru tonight, Konnan sticking around at ringside simply to try and avoid any run-in interferences from Team Canada. Scott D'Amore as always accompanied his boys, the NWA World Tag Team Champions, Team Canada as Bobby Roode and Eric Young represented the team from Canada. Roode and Killings kicked things off, both men preparing quite a lot in anticipation for the match-opening lock-up. Roode showed some strength here as he got Killings trapped in the corner. Killings managed to get out of that however and proceeded in giving Roode several rights and lefts in the corner. The official restrained Killings from continuing his crusade, Killings then going to taunt to a loud reaction in Soundstage 21. Killings tagged in BG James as Bobby Roode quickly got back to his feet. James and Roode began to lock-up, this time Bobby gettin momentum, kneeing James in the gut and giving him an offensive uppercut. Roode grounded James, dropping elbows, knees and legs over the throat of James, trying to work around the neck area. Roode then tried to finish off James, applying the sleeper hold but the fans in attendence refused to let that happen. BG James after several minutes of attempting to comeback finally did come back after all, getting to his feet after the audience clapping their hands together. James ran Roode off the ropes and tackled him, but James fell down as well. The referee began the count and Roode got up at the count of seven. Roode tagged in Eric Young and the two double-teamed BG James, stomping away on him as such as Ron Killings got extremely frustrated. Young reverted to some aerial antics, obviously due to that being his usual in-ring style. However, when Ron Killings finally became the legal man and went on a role, pounding away at Team Canada, hoping to finish off Roode with the Scissors Kick, Team Canada members, Ruffy Silverstein and Johnny Devine ran down the ramp as Devine jumped Konnan on the outside, Silverstein rushing into the ring and jumping Killings. BG James made the save however and him alongside Konnan and Killings began celebrating. [74%] AJ Styles is interviewed before his big TNA X-Division Championship match against Petey Williams vowing to become Phenomenal on monthly pay-per-views just like he did on weekly pay-per-view. The Tale of the Tape and X-Factors going into this match are then seen [78%] Match #3: AJ Styles defeated Petey Williams; AJ Styles wins the TNA X-Division Championship This was a phenomenal match, and I'd write this in detail but it'd be the second time written. I cannot be bothered to type it in full-scale detail once again. Incredible lengthy match here that spanned a sequel match immediately after, I'll continue to talk about that in a few lines. Both of these men put on a stellar of an effort, both men putting on A-graded in-ring skills utilizing both that of a fast-paced, high-flying style as well as the classic traditional Canadian usage of technical wrestling containing that of chain-wrestling, submissions and mat-based wrestling. Petey had Coach Scott D'Amore with him at ringside, the announcers hated having to see him three matches in a row, though. AJ almost won the title but D'Amore pulled the official out, unfortunately. The fifth time that happened, D'Amore nailed the official, triggering a disqualification. However AJ Styles complained and managed to get the match restarted under no disqualification rules as Scott D'Amore was banned from ringside. Another ten minutes on, Styles avoided a shot from the Hockey stick/Canadian flag, hitting the Styles Clash out of nowhere to become new X-Division Champion. [87, 85] As AJ Styles was celebrating up the aisle and headed for the backstage area, Jeremy Borash came down the rampway as in a sceen reminiscent to last Friday's iMPACT, red, white and blue balloons fell from the rafters as the American flag was draped over the top of both entrance stages. Borash cut a promo hyping up the Election for DOA in '04. Dusty Rhodes and Vince Russo then make their entrances, Russo having a very mixed reaction whereas Dusty got the full-fan favourite reaction. Borash announces the final result as being 51.36 to 48.64 in Rhodes' favor! Borash raises Rhodes' hand as the new Director of Authority in 2004. Russo shakes his head almost uncaringly, storming off to the backstage area. Rhodes cuts a promo thanking the audience before we see Petey Williams and Scott D'Amore appear in the background. D'Amore does the talking telling about Petey cashing in his rematch shot at the TNA X-Division Championship. Rhodes announces at that point that due to this, at Turning Point, rather than Brian Lawler challenging TNA X-Division Champion, AJ Styles, it will now be a three way involving Petey Williams as well. Petey and Scott get cocky before Dusty drops a bombshell: It'll be contested in the Ultimate X match. Rhodes heads off to the backstage area. [79%] The tale of the tape airs, reviewing recent happenings in the Monster's Ball feud heading into tonight. We see Raven and Abyss locked up in seperate padded cells in preparation for tonight's match. We also see Monty Brown struggling around the backstage walking with two crutches. [70%] Match #4: Raven defeated Abyss in a Monster's Ball Match This was probably one of the more famous highlights of the evening, the quality of this match was phenomenal which is incredible for this being a garbage match, plainly put. These two grappled all around the arena, and I mean all around the arena. Raven had the first bit of offense from the get-go abusing Abyss still being trapped in the straight jacket by kindly throwing weapons at his head repeatedly. Raven made a big mistake, however by cutting up the straight-jacket on Abyss as he began to get payback, simply beating Raven senseless before introducing the sinister thumbtacks, though Raven stopped him before 'the Monster' could drop the thumbtacks. Raven then avoided disappointment from the audience, dropping the thousand thumbtacks right across the ring. Raven and Abyss fought merciless, trying to grab the other and slam then into the thumbtacks, but both men resisted. Raven even went as far as ripping off Abyss' shirt trying to give him even more pain upon impact into the tacks. Raven went for the Raven Effect but Abyss backdropped him right into the tacks. Abyss nailed the Black Hole Slam but then Monty Brown limped out on crutches. Abyss was distracted by Brown but went for a cover nontheless, unsuccessfully getting a near fall. Abyss went for another one as Brown climbed unstabally into the ring. He nailed Abyss around the head with the crutches as Raven somehow recovered and nailed the Raven Effect out of nowhere for the win! [90%] Monty Brown and Raven celebrate together, Brown lifting Raven up over one shoulder as if he faked the injury and looked as though he did, the two leaving for the ramp as Abyss climbed to his feet, falling in the tacks on his ass again, looking pissed. [72%] The tale of the tape hyping up the Last Man Standing Tag Team match played, showing both teams as being longtime rivals in this epic battle to become the greatest tag team ever in TNA history. We also run a video package dating back to the confusing days of Fall when members of Triple X and AMW were meshed together into two teams feuding over the NWA World Tag Team Championships. [78%] Match #5: Triple X defeated America's Most Wanted in a Last Man Standing match I am ultimately impressed with this pay-per-view event so far. Both teams have a ton of experience with one another, no matter what combination whether it be Skipper and Harris or Storm and Daniels, these four meshed perfectly. This was also a brutal match, the perfect example of a combination between the Petey Williams vs. AJ Styles match and the Raven vs. Abyss match, brutal and expertly applied. This, like the last four matches was also extremely lengthy, all four men seemed like they would never ever remain on the canvas, unable to get to their feet by the ten count. However, James Storm was the first man to be unable to reach his feet, following Triple X copying AMW's Death Sentence through a table. And now, it was down to three-men, in a two-on-one situation, Chris Harris seemed like he had nowhere to go. This part of the match showed how desperate Harris and the crowd wanted Harris to win, Christopher Daniels and Elix Skipper played the heels from this point onwards, to be honest. Harris continuously used a hit-and-run technique, playing dominoes with Triple X. Harris eventually eliminated Elix Skipper around the nineteen minute mark, powerbomb from the top rope on a chair, Elix having gone for the tightrope hurricanrana. Harris and Daniels battled for their lives in the final five minutes of the match, but neither man would lie down for the other. Harris seemed to be heading for the Spear on a weary 'Fallen Angel', but Daniels moved and Harris ran into a perfectly placed steel-chair set-up by Skipper. Harris tried to struggle to his feet, but it was too late. [89%] Following the contest, Christopher Daniels and a bloody Elix Skipper continue to celebrate before acting truly heelish by continuing the assault on AMW's Chris Harris. The crowd boo in suspense for minutes before James Storm almost drunkenly rushes down the rampway, cut open from before. Storm takes out both of Triple X, throwing both of them over the top rope to the floor. However, they re-entered from behind, jumping both of AMW and leaving them in puddles of their own blood, Skipper and Daniels hitting the Overdrive and Angel's Wings on Harris and Storm respectively. [79%] The opening video package airs one more time after viewing the tale of the tape and having Mike Tenay and Don West review the evening thus far, the ladder match main event being right up next. [89%] Match #6: Jeff Jarrett defeated Jeff Hardy in a Ladder match; Jarrett retains the NWA Heavyweight Championship Another fantastic match between two absolute rivals, no matter what time of style Jarrett was, whether he was a brawler, a technician or an old-school wrestler, Jarrett sure knew how to put on an expertly timed ladder match as evident from this match. Awesome from start-to-finish and probably one of Jeff Hardy's greatest matches thus far in TNA [and may be his only, considering the FoxBox ruins it for everybody on iMPACT]. Jarrett played the cowardly heel to my personal disapproval but at least it showed a lot of excitement especially since Jarrett continuously killed off Hardy's momentum and many attempts at grabbing and pulling down the NWA Heavyweight Championship from the bar above. Hardy hit some incredible spots and it seemed as though the matches in the WWE from Hardy in late 2002 and early 2003 were from a different, drunken hobo. Hardy seemed to be in his prime once again, as Jarrett and Hardy blew the roof off. Though out of the entire night, I'd have to say this is the third best of the night considering Petey vs. AJ, Abyss vs. Raven & Triple X vs. AMW were all amazing matches. Jarrett hit an incredible Stroke from halfway up the ladder, as four or five ladders were used in total. Hardy also did his trademarked Swanton Bomb from the top of the ladder, obviously causing a complete uproar in Soundstage 21. The match came to an end however with Jarrett and Hardy both weary on the top of a ladder, both men battling to grab the title, both men with a hand on the belt, the other punching their opponent. However when it was done with, Jarrett kicked Hardy with a low-blow as he tumbled through a table and Jarrett picked up the NWA Heavyweight Championship. [87%] Following the contest, Jeff Jarrett celebrated as though it was the turn of the century once again as he received the most heat of the entire evening. Jarrett was standing on top of the wrestling world this eventful Sunday night in Orlando, the King of TNA, the mountain and still in possession of the ever-prestigious NWA Heavyweight Championship. - The Ratings for this week have been: WWE RAW [11/01/2004]: 3.6 WWE SmackDown! [11/04/2004]: 3.3 TNA iMPACT! [11/05/2004]: 0.7 WWE Velocity [11/06/2004]: 0.6 TNA XPlosion [11/06/2004]: 0.1 WWE Sunday Night Heat [11/07/2004]: 0.8 - TNA Victory Road successfully gained an eventful 0.80 buyrate last night. The company are proud from what went on, though some feel it lacked a proper mid-card position, it relying mainly on the upper mid-card matches, even AJ Styles/Petey Williams was believed to be an upper-midcard match, the way it was hyped up. Management also felt it could of used one more match though they were unconfident with a seven match card in case of accidental overdose, possibly causing the main event to go overboard. - TNA XPlosion could be moving stations soon, Urban America are not impressed with the low-rating, and so have decided to give XPlosion the Graveyard timeslot on their station. If the ratings aren't up to Graveyard standards, XPlosion is gone from the TV company. - The reason for Monty Brown's pull-out of the Monster's Ball match was due to a possible injured knee during the taping of the Brown/Hardy match at the 11/29 iMPACT. TNA management didn't want to risk a casualty and so pulled Brown out of the match, Brown's knee injury soon disappeared but by then it was only one day until Victory Road and had been missing from the feud. And cutting a promo about being in Monster's Ball on a late-night program such as XPlosion wouldn't of done a thing. Brown and Abyss are expected to feud into next month's Turning Point.

Victory Road has a long ass write up but it was still fun to read, unsure about Brian Lawler winning the X-Division gaunlet, plenty of other people I would of prefered over him but it's your diary not mine. problem with the second match is that the title/titles can change hands via countout or disquallification in TNA so that needs sorted out. Happy to see AJ Styles as the X-Division title, give him a long regn please, and some decent feuds. Yay to Raven winning Monster's Ball. Big fan of that. Nice to see Monty Brown make an appearance as well even though he's injured. Was a fan of Triple X so I'm happy to see them defeat America's Most Wanted, not sure on the post match attack but what ever. Main Event was fantastic, I actually wouldn't of minded seeing Jeff Hardy win the match but Jarrett retaining is fine by me. Lets hope Jarrett gets in a feud with someone like Raven soon so we can see Raven win the title.

Yeah, I wasn't aware that that DQ/Count-out title change rule was in effect until recently, never saw it until recently. As for Triple X, I believe the same thing happened in real life.

Monday 8th November 2004 The usual opening video package for RAW opens up the show as it shows many clips of previous happenings on RAW in between a few clips of two girls making out and many superstars posing under a blue, red and black light. This all happens to 'Move to the Music' by Union Underground. The RAW logo ends it as we're taken to the live arena where pyro is going off. Announcers, Jim Ross and Jerry "King" Lawler hype up the upcoming event scheduled to feature the World Heavyweight Champion, Triple H take on Edge for the leader of Evolution's World title, tonight. The theme of Evolution hits the arena as the crowd are given the signal to immediately start booing the hell out of the number one faction on RAW. We confusingly see Ric Flair appear first, triggering many 'woos' throughout the arena before Triple H comes out and finally Batista. They all have a go on the microphone, cutting a promo each upon the stage. Ric Flair takes the first promo-cut as he rambles about how he's a member of Team Evolution this Sunday at Survivor Series. Batista takes it from there, giving a reasonable promo, not the greatest but probably the best he can provide, made his Spinebuster seem monsterous. Triple H took the microphone finally, putting over the non-believers in Evolution getting eliminated from the equation as a whole. Triple H puts over this Sunday's match as he puts over tonight's match with Edge. Batista then cut him off asking Triple H why he is so confident, Batista acting like a face, reminding Hunter of being pinned by Edge last week. Triple H tells him to shut up as he closes the promo. [93%] We cut to the backstage area where Randy Orton is seen eyeballing the locker-room door of 'Chris Jericho'. He enters and has a short promo, both men discussing about what Jericho has been doing lately. Jericho tells Orton that it doesn't bother him about what Evolution are doing but Orton persuades him that they're gonna stack the odds against him if he [Y2J] doesn't fight. Jericho accepts Orton's invitation to fill the final spot on Team Orton. [89%] We then cut to the RAW interview set where WWE Intercontinental Champion, Shelton Benjamin was standing there, a cocky grin on his face as usual, while Todd Grisham interviewed him. Todd asks Benjamin about Christian and Tyson Tomko, asking Shelton if they got under his skin last week. Benjamin denies this, denying any fear or anger caused by those two aforementioned men. Benjamin challenges Christian to face him for his Intercontinental Championship this Sunday night at Survivor Series before leaving for his match. [85%] Match #1: Shelton Benjamin defeated Tyson Tomko This was quite the decent match in the ring, both men actually putting on a decent display, which is hard to come by with Tyson Tomko, he reminds me of A-Train [who is also of the RAW brand but currently sidelined with injury]. And it was least expected that Shelton Benjamin, more of a technician and a high-flyer would have the same chemistry as Christian's bodyguard, Tomko. This is possibly Tyson's greatest WWE match to date, in my honest opinion. The crowd were fairly into it, though cheering Benjamin and chanting 'We want Christian'. Christian didn't come out with Tomko, suprisingly but rather instead made his prescense felt later on in the match, calmly making his way down to the ring and watching on as Tomko would in Christian's matches. But Tomko mainly worked on Benjamin, working on the shoulder of Shelton, applying some very unique and different shoulder-related painful submission holds. Benjamin however made a last minute comeback and broke away from one of Tomko's shoulder submissions, getting set for that hard-hitting Dragon Whip, but instead he nailed Christian, standing on the apron. Tomko tried the bicycle kick and missed, the T-Bone Suplex won Benjamin the match. However, as Benjamin celebrated after the match, he was unfortunately jumped by Christian as him alongside Tyson Tomko would beat him down until the officials came out to help the Intercontinental Champion. [71%] A hype video gets us all prepared for the main event going into the second hour of tonight's RAW, Ric Flair vs. Chris Jericho. [94%] Match #2: Gene Snitsky and Chuck Palumbo defeated William Regal and Eugene after Snitsky pinned Eugene This was much more of a hard-hitting contest between these two teams unlike the opening contest, this match involved four brawlers, and the backstory to this match was that Chuck Palumbo had to choose a tag team partner to face Eugene and William Regal tonight on RAW following the events of last week. Gene Snitsky was introduced into the match but didn't come into it until about midway into the contest, Palumbo starting off with Regal and performing more of an old-school style, Regal of course re-innovating the style here in the WWE and I was personally suprised that Chuck also had knowledge on how to perform the old-school style. Eugene then got involved as well, immediately turning the whole point of this match into a comedy match, Eugene imitating several memorable wrestlers of the Attitude Era, giving a special mention even to fellow RAW superstar, Val Venis. Otherwise, this match was a filler as well. Palumbo tagged in Snitsky, who easily then climbed into the ring and one Swinging Rock Bottom finished it for Eugene. Snitsky remained dominant with Palumbo as Regal attempted to attend to Eugene. [69%] Match #3: Chris Jericho defeated Ric Flair by disqualification This match was anticipated as to being the match of the night, but let me say this, this match was neither Chris Jericho nor Ric Flair's best showing. Both men still put on a decent display, but it was a let-down considering that Flair has had better matches recently on RAW, and it should also be noted that this is Ric Flair's first in-ring match since the steel-cage match against Randy Orton back at Taboo Tuesday, almost two weeks ago. These two competitors put on a decent display, despite being a little messy, but at least they put on a decent match. Still far from a masterpiece, but still far from being a dud. Though let me just say that I feel the previous two matches scored better quality marks from this reporter. Seems their styles would mesh, but obvously they didn't work together very well, mysteriously. Both men put on a great in-ring display, also getting Randy Orton and Batista down to ringside to cheer on their fellow teammate for this Sunday's Survivor Series. Jericho eventually had Flair set up for the Walls of Jericho as Orton had taken out Batista on the outside with a lead pipe. However, as Jericho went to trip Flair up, he delivered a low-blow to the nuts of Y2J, triggering a disqualification victory in Jericho's favor. Following the match, Batista gets back into the ring as Orton climbed in before to save Jericho from Flair. Batista lays Orton out with a Spinebuster. "OOH, OHH, SHAWN!" we hear a VERY familiar song play as the man himself, Shawn Michaels begins to rush down the rampway and take out Flair and Batista with ease, delivering two Super Kicks to Batista and a big back body drop to Flair. Michaels attends to Jericho. [80%] We head to the backstage area from this point where Todd Grisham is standing by with the returning Shawn Michaels, Todd asking Shawn what prompted him to make a comeback to the RAW brand following the knee injury sustained at the hands of Triple H at Taboo Tuesday. Michaels says that he doesn't care because took care of Kane for him at Taboo Tuesday. Michaels put over the fact that he definately wants to win back the World Heavyweight Championship, especially after what his old friend, Triple H did to the rising star, Randy Orton and demolish him. Shawn states that he's here for Orton's team this Sunday at Survivor Series, despite there being no room in the team. Michaels guarantees that some superstars will probably be paid to turn against Orton, Benoit and all of the other main fan favourites on the RAW brand. Shawn also guarantees that he will be there for Edge in tonight's World Heavyweight Championship match. [83%]We then cut to a little humorous angle where The Hurricane and Rosey along with some guys dressed as Max Moon, Aldo Montoya, Avatar among others around a big rectangular table. Hurricane states that he knows that all of them are past performers and that Hurricane is the future of the Justice League in the WWE, trying to eliminate the evil foreign Frenchmen, 'Conguy' Conway and 'Green Goblin' Grenier. Helms tells Rosey that he has faith in Rosey despite not being long out of the S.H.I.T. league. Rosey and Hurricane vow to defeat La Resistance this Sunday night prior to Survior Series on Sunday Night Heat. [68%] Match #4: Molly Holly defeated Victoria This was really just a filler of a match. A decent contest, probably one of the better diva displays on the RAW brand. I mean, these two probably pulled off several great matches with their encounter at WrestleMania XX and on other occasions, but this match was pretty good, without the audience it would be good too. And as for the audience, it was suprising to find that they actually gave a damn about this contest. This match amused many in the arena for several minutes, probably one of the more over undercard matches of the night. Molly and Victoria put on a match almost reminiscent to their past encounter on the grandaddy of them all, only this time Molly having short hair and this match not being for the Womens title nor for Molly's hair. Victoria was on offense a little while during the opening minutes but a planned botch sent her off-guard, Victoria getting caught on the top rope. Molly worked on the legs of Victoria for a while but as Victoria started to make a comeback, catching Molly on the top rope, Gail Kim made a run in and distracted Victoria. Ivory of all people took out Gail as Molly hit the Molly-Go-Round for the win! Trish then came down to the ring alongside Jazz whom we hadn't seen in a little while, suprisingly seeming friendly together. Trish, Jazz, Gail and Molly began to gang up on Victoria and Ivory before Lita made the save wielding a chair. [70%] Match #5: World Heavyweight Championship: Edge vs. Triple H This was anticipated to be a good match, and didn't fail to connect, as this was a blockbuster of a main event. This match featured alot of heat, cheap-shots, weapons, a bladejob on Edge's part and everything, all just to hype up Sunday's big event. Triple H played more of the cowardly heel role, taking down Edge repeatedly only for him to get back up. The two announcers, Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler continuously put over Survivor Series' main event being the epic ten man elimination match as the crowd was one-hundred percent behind seemingly face-turned Edge. 'HBK' chants covered the entire arena as these two put on an epic battle between two phenomenal workers. It is almost suprising that a man more based in the technical in-ring style and a guy more into the old-school slow-paced brawling style would put on such a match in addition. Both of these men deserved all the hype they got, probably one of the greatest moments in RAW's recent history, especially since the brand extension back in March 2002. Edge controlled the first five minutes, but a missed Spear sending Edge to the outside [Edge sold it like he had broken his neck] Triple H dominated Edge for a long while, placing him in the crossface at one point, even giving Edge's World Tag Team Championship partner, Chris Benoit a brief cameo, watching on from a monitor, backstage in shock. Edge eventually fought back and even got set up for the Spear, but after hitting it, Ric Flair and Batista scrambled out to the ring. Triple H rammed the official into Edge from behind as all hell began to break loose, Benoit and Randy Orton running out to the ring. Carnage let loose in the ring as the atmosphere was calm...
OOH, OHH, SHAWN!, it was the 'Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels! HBK then came marching down the aisle, a pissed-yet-arrogant look on his face, a steel-chair in hand. Triple H was in a state of shock as he had Edge in the Pedigree position in the ring as Batista and Orton & Benoit and Flair were brawing in seperate corners. Michael climbed up the ringsteps carefully, he climbs slowly under the top rope...SWEET CHIN MUSIC to Batista! CHAIR SHOT to Flair! Shawn looks Triple H in the eyes...He talks trash to Triple H as he reassures Michaels...Tension in the air, angered look on the face of Shawn, now. BAM!!! What the hell? He collapses to the mat as his opponent jumps onto him, Michaels reviving the referee. Is this a new champion!? The three count is delivered! The bell sounds!
But it isn't Triple H that Shawn Michaels nailed with the chair, oh no. It was Edge. Michaels helps the World Heavyweight Champion to his feet, the official handing him the World Heavyweight title strap as the crowd boo at the loudest. Michaels, Batista, Flair and Triple H all stand tall in the ring over Orton, Benoit and Edge as Chris Jericho appears on the stage. Michaels yells 'screw you!' as Batista and Flair noticably look confused and disgusted at Shawn Michaels, whispering to Triple H as we go off the air! [84%] World Heavyweight Champion, Triple H defeats Edge

Raw had a solid write up, lacked a promo or two but it's all good. Shelton vs Christian should be great at Survivor Series, hoping for Shelton to retain the title. Tag match wasn't anything special, somewhat sad to see Regal on the loosing side of things. Yay to Molly Holly getting the win, then again I would of been happy either way. Jericho and Flair always had solid matches, and it seems relistic that Jericho would win via DQ. The main event must of been a long match for there to only be five matches on the card. It had a great write up and the ending was fantastic, only one problem for me. Shawn connecting with Sweet Chin Music on Batista and hitting Flair with the chair. I hope on the next Raw you have an angry Batista/Flair about being attacked when Michaels was going for the heel turn. I would presume they knew nothing about the turn.

Wow massive heel turn at the end and how you said new champion before the actual result seemed good but would have been godly if you didn't write Triple H defeated Edge before hand why not write the match then the winner at the end not to spoil it, I really liked it but that spoiled it a little as I knew HHH was going to win, I acidently (sp) read that post above before reading the main event but it helped as I imadgined a limping/weak HBK walking down. To be completly honest with you I didn't read the whole show, i'm not a fan of long shows and some parts didn't intrest me (tag and womens match) I was watching a DVD (Ladder) the other day and thinking of how good Christian was so I'm glad he is going for the title (move him to SD and let carnage begin, World Title Reign) I also realised how over Benj was so I'm glad your keeping him up there hopefully you will allways keep him pretty high on the card. Good Luck hope this helped, keep this up

VR was a long/good read. Not sure about Lawler but ok. I think 3LK should've won the belts since they won by countout. AJ winning the x title belt is fine but I think I'd maybe rather see him fighting heavyweights. Not sure about Monty helping Raven win. Does this make Monty a heel? Abyss a face? Monty doesn't really need Raven, and shouldn't play second fiddle to him. Monty was on fire at this time so hopefully you capitalize on it. XXX winning and post-match was cool. That's good you had JJ win, and without Outsiders coming in. Overall, Victory Road was a good show.
Raw was ok, but not nearly as good as VR. Shelton-Christian could be a good match, interested in who'll win. The Snitsky match was a huge throwaway. Jericho-Flair wasn't bad, and same with the women's match. I'm confused by the ending of Raw. Who collapsed to the mat? Edge? I'm guessing HBK joined Evolution? Confused....
Anyway, both were solid shows, but I liked VR a lot more. Please drop a reply to ECW 2007 when you get a chance.

I hyped the finish, making it more interesting by not giving away the result. As for the finishing standing tall part, I forgot what I had wrote. Editing the heading, I gave it away.

Thursday 11th November 2004The Smackdown music hits as Tazz and Michael Cole welcome the fans to Thursday Night Smackdown, they hype up that tonight Booker T will be in action in the main event taking on Kurt Angle as well as Kenzo Suzuki and Rene Dupree taking on Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio for the WWE Tag Team Championship. Tazz tells the fans there's just three days before Survivor Series! We cut to the live arena where the theme of Kurt Angle is heard throughout the arena very loudly, triggering a very heated reaction from the capacity crowd in attendance. Kurt Angle then walks out, accompanied by Luther Reigns though without Mark Jindrak. He is ready to go, dressed in in-ring attire as he even sets off his pyrotechnics. Angle got on the microphone in the ring about Big Show and how this Sunday he is scheduled to pick four other men to face Big Show and his clowns. Angle disses on Big Show also reminding everybody of the recent happenings going on in their feud dating back as far as April when Big Show drop Kurt Angle's leg following a Chokeslam off of a floor below onto concrete. Angle makes Luther Reigns his obvious first entry pick as partner for Survivor Series, then making the decision to 'draft' SmackDown's own WWE United States Champion, Carlito Caribbean Cool. Angle then notes that Mark Jindrak wasn't what Angle was looking for, and so he has been 'released' from his post in Angle's faction. Angle goes on to choose the WWE Tag Team Champions, Kenzo Suzuki and Rene Dupree. We hear Big Show's theme then play as the pyro caused the arena to almost explode with cheers. Show cut a decent promo defending himself, before choosing Eddie Guerrero, Rob Van Dam, Rey Mysterio and the returning John Cena as his tag team partners for this Sunday. Angle stares down Show as we go to a commercial break. [92%]We return from the commercial break to see Kurt Angle trying to calm down Carlito as he stressed, walking up and down on the spot, threating about the announcement that John Cena would be on the Big Show's team. Kurt Angle reassured Carlito saying that he doesn't have to get involved with anything if John Cena is in there. Angle tells CCC that he will personally take care of things by getting Luther and the tag team champions to take out Cena if he gets in the way. Carlito thanks Angle and the shake hands. Carlito throws the apple up in the air and catches it, taking a bite as Angle slowly fends off. Carlito looks confused as he continues eating. [81%] Match #1: The Dudley Boyz defeated Scotty 2 Hotty and Funaki after D-Von pinned Funaki A great way to kick off SmackDown's wrestling side of the show as we got underway with two teams who will also be on seperate sides of the ring this Sunday night on pay-per-view at the Survivor Series as it will be Billy Kidman and the Dudleys taking on Chavo Guerrero, Funaki, Scotty 2 Hotty and a mystery man. This match was suprisingly superb, a possible match of the night contender. The crowd weren't too into it, but they were into the shenanigans that Scotty and Funaki put on, this was a match based all around brawling as well as a little comedy. It seemed a mismatch on paper, but Scotty and Funaki, just like Paul London and Billy Kidman did earlier in the year to the Dudleys, found a way to chop down the two family members. D-Von and Funaki started and Funaki actually had some offense, but the size advantage soon came into play as D-Von worked on the head of Funaki, focusing around the slams into the turnbuckles and the bulldogs. Bubba Ray then got the tag and that was when the rest holds started to kick in. Funaki eventually got the tag to Scotty who went on a roll in there. Funaki eventually found himself as the legal man as did D-Von and all four men came into play. Scotty got laid out by the Bubba Bomb as Funaki tried doing Spike's own Dudley Dog on D-Von. But he got crotched on the top rope, D-Von came up preparing for a super back drop but Funaki fought him off as Spike appeared at ringside. Funaki lost balance and fell into D-Von's hands and a neckbreaker from the top rope got the win. However, after the match, Chavo Guerrero valiantly ran in there with a chair in hand as he nailed all of the Dudleys, clearing house literally. [83%]The camera then cut to the backstage area where Paul Heyman was standing in front of John Heidenreich in a pre-tape segment. Paul Heyman made a killer promo hyping up the intense feud between Undertaker and Heidenreich which will lead into this Sunday's Survivor Series. Heyman takes us back to the Great American Bash even, hyping Heidenreich up as the man who will finally obliterate Taker from existence, bragging that John was the man that a promoter like Paul E. needed for ECW. [84%] Match #2: John Heidenreich defeated Eddie Guerrero This has to be one of John Heidenreich's finest encounters so far in the WWE. This was definately not a squash, obviously due to Eddie's existence in the ring and dragged Heidenreich into a good match, Guerrero put Heidenreich over so well. This was a lengthy match full of good spots, here there and everywhere. Heidenreich of course made this match very interesting, using his powerhouse skill to pretty much shove Eddie Guerrero around like he was nothing. I have to say that Heidenreich is improving, of course that is a good thing, if Heidenreich was to drop the poetry and become even more of a maniac, he could become an actual credible opponent for Undertaker to take on. Eddie kept coming back, fighting valiantly, though John continuously pulled out in front by continuing the assault on Eddie. Eddie kept fighting back and made it hard for Heidenreich to hit that unique shoulderbreaker/backbreaker. Eddie eventually got Heidenreich to the point where he was out of stamina, and that was where Eddie could hit One Amigo. Guerrero went to the top rope and hit the Frog Splash but Heidenreich got the knees up. Heidenreich dominated. Undertaker's gong was eventually heard, but Heidenreich only blinked. The lights dimmed but Heidenreich still ignored. He got Eddie on the top rope as he tried to fight but failed. Heidenreich gave him a chokeslam from the top rope for the win. Heidenreich then made his way up the ramp with Paul Heyman as lighting struck the ring. All John did was grin. [80%] We saw the Undertaker appear on the two screens on either side of the silver fist as he cut a promo burying John Heidenreich and Paul Heyman, thinking that a hearse crash and some bumps and bruises would actually put him of all people away. Undertaker told Heidenreich to bring it all this Sunday at Survivor Series, because Undertaker will be waiting to absorb the punishment only to predictably fail. Taker says that he'll meet Heidenreich on Sunday night. [81%]Match #3: Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio defeated Kenzo Suzuki and Rene Dupree by disqualification to retain the WWE Tag Team Championship This was another great match to fill up this edition of SmackDown as we were beginning to be lead into the second hour of tonight's episode of SD. Great from start-to-finish, featured a great lengthy contest on the mid-card spot on SD. The atmosphere in this arena was astonishing. This is the kind of reaction that the fans should be giving Kenzo Suzuki and Rene Dupree, but instead they're being used as class 'A' comedy workers. That's just a bad match in my eyes. Rey Mysterio and Rene Dupree started and Mysterio made the term 'slippery when wet' true, he wasn't bad, flying around out there and slipping out of everything Dupree tried to do to him. He did some damn impressive stuff out there, too. I was impressed. Mysterio soon tagged in Rob Van Dam who continued the offense, working on Rene Dupree as a whole really. Dupree eventually caught RVD off guard as RVD attempted a split-legged moonsault only to trip up, causing the only botch of the match. This seemed to fit perfectly into place however as Dupree worked over RVD as did Kenzo. RVD eventually got to Rey, who regained control and took down Kenzo repeatedly. Mysterio hit the 619 but that's when Luther Reigns and Kurt Angle made their way down the rampway. Mysterio hit the West Coast Pop but when going for the cover, as RVD had Suzuki held up, Angle dove in causing a DQ victory for Rey and RVD. That, however is when Eddie Guerrero and Big Show began to slowly make their way to the ring. Eddie fought off Angle, but didn't do a whole lot but Show really got rid of everybody. [86%] We cut to the backstage area where Big Show was standing by, in which he continued the beatdown on Kurt Angle, verbally this time. Show simply put over this Sunday's Survivor Series match, and also made a note of Carlito Caribbean Cool, saying that John Cena will be there to go after him, and anybody who gets in John's way will be erased by Show himself. [96%]] John Bradshaw Layfield then cut a promo alongside Orland Jordan as John Layfield announced his displeasure of having to fight Booker T at Survivor Series. Orlando apologises to JBL after what happened last week, only for JBL to accept his apology, Layfield cuts a promo about how much the WWE Championship means to him, being that it is Layfield's last chance at being one of the most powerful men in the WWE today. JBL reminds everybody that he lost his job and that tonight, he wouldn't get involved, that'd he'd rather see Kurt Angle simply pick apart Booker T for Layfield to finish him off at Survivor Series. [87%]
We then cut to a video package dedicated to Booker T, only seventy-two hours away from Survivor Series. As we see footage of Booker T winning each of his five WCW Championships and hitting many Book-Ends and Scissor Kicks, we hear Booker talk about how it would be an honorable accomplishment to win a belt that has rarely been held by a black man, that JBL was just another face in the crowd, the crowd not hosting anybody as interesting, as talented and unique as Booker T. [80%] Match #4: Kurt Angle defeated Booker T A great main event, this match could of possibly outdone the match-of-the-week contests over the WCW World Heavyweight Championship back in July 2001. These two put on a great effort in that very ring. There was near falls, rest holds, submissions, aerial attacks, you name it, it was in this match. A great way to close SmackDown. What was very weird though was that for the second week in a row, there has only been four matches on the card. Nonetheless, Booker was in control for a large part of this contest before he seemingly fell wrong when attempting the Scissors Kick [Booker sold it like he'd broken it in two], as Angle worked on it furiously. Angle used aerial moves, technical moves and even started pounding on it at one point. All just to get the win tonight. It is weird that Angle has been in four or five segment let alone been mentioned in as many on this show. This match even spilled to the outside this contest was that good. Booker also had numerous stints of having momentum and offense in the middle of the match, though his spot-on selling of the injured leg/thigh stopped him. Angle had Booker in the figure-four leglock, the single-legged Boston crab and even the Texas cloverleaf but he just wouldn't tap out. Booker was seemingly regaining his focus however as he got Angle to the point where it was time for the Book-End. However when he went to pin, Orlando Jordan ran down onto the apron only to get kicked off by Jordan. That hurt Booker's leg, sending him to the canvas and after several minutes in an ankle lock, Angle got the win. JBL then stood tall over Booker as we went off the air. [89%]
