WFWF House Show 1
Location: Pepsi Arena, Albany, New York
Results/Match Summaries:
Opener:
Justin Tyger Vs Gaz
In a closely fought contest WFWF new comer Gaz put in an impressive showing almost claiming victory after a jackknife powerbomb. The actual end to the match came after Tyger hit the ghetto driver before going to the top rope and landing his finisher the 187 splash for the pin.
Winner: Justin Tyger
‘The Prodigal Son’ Jay Hargreaves Vs Shane ‘the Buzz’ Bendle
Two new WFWF stars and two men who both like to jazz up their names. The Buzz dominated the match for the most part getting in such moves as a big boot, pump handle slam and a German suplex before ending the match with his spinebuster off the top rope entitled the Breakdown making a clean pin afterwards.
Winner: Shane ‘The Buzz’ Bendle
Miguel Sanchez Vs Joe Kessen
The Latino star dominated the match up barely letting the ‘American Dream’ get in offence. The high point of the match came with Sanchez reversing Kessens top rope superplex effort into a reverse DDT off the top that then led into Sanchez locking on the Latino Cloverhold forcing Kessen to tap.
Winner: Miguel Sanchez
Intermission
During the intermission ringside staff shot t-shirts into the crowd and WFWF superstars Johnny ‘The Movie Man’ Michaels, Yukio Blaze and Scratch Cat came out. Michaels spent his time talking to the fans and signing autographs, Yukio Blaze handed out some more merchandise such as action figures and DVD’s whilst Scratch Cat brought a few younger members of the crowd into the ring to have their pictures taken with the superstars.
Justin Tyme Vs ZMaster
In what could have been perceived as one of the nights three main events Justin Tyme took the hall of famer ZMaster to his limits. Tyme looked to have the match won after hitting a shinning wizard to then follow up with the Tyme’s Up but first grand slam champion in WFWF history was able to kick out. The match was then even for the rest of it with the end coming as Tyme leaped from the top looking for a hurricanrana but when he landed on ZMaster’s shoulders ZMaster turned it into the Death Sentence ending with a cover and the win.
Winner: ZMaster
‘The Addict Icon’ Michael Kyzer Vs Justa Mazing
Another match that could have quite easily been the main event saw a close encounter between Mazing and Kyzer. The offence moved back and forth with Mazing getting in a yakuza kick, Aztec suplex and a tiger bomb whilst Kyzer caught Mazing with superplex, swinging neckbreaker and an overhead belly to belly that landed Mazing on the outside. The match could have come to a finish at two different times, once when Justa Mazing had Kyzer locked in the Spinal Shock but Kyzer battled his way to the ropes, and the second time when the end did come with Mazing going to the top rope and setting up for a moonsault but Kyzer then knocked the ropes and lifted Mazing off of the turnbuckle into the F**king Addiction for the pin after.
Winner: ‘The Addict Icon’ Michael Kyzer
Main Event
Macabre Vs Master Of Destruction
This was in fact the match billed as the main event and it lied up to all expectations. The opening saw the control got back and forth with Macabre’s biggest moment coming with the Victem’d whilst MOD shows his ability with being able to hit a full nelson slam on the monster. The match soon burst into chaos though as the two spilled out of the ring. Various rams into the barrier and bumps on the outside from piledriver from MOD and a spinebuster by Macabre. The end looked to be coming soon following MOD’s cheap chair shot to Macabre on the outside followed by rolling the National champion back into the ring before going to the top and hitting a diving elbow drop looking for the cover. But Macabre kicked out and the match carried on for just over eight minutes until MOD knocked Macabre down with a superkick and stalked over him, as Macabre got to his feet MOD ran at him but found himself caught around the throat and slammed down with the Macabre Chokeslam followed by the pin.
Winner: Macabre
End Of House Show
--------------------------------------------------------
As was said, short results for the house shows so there you go, congrats to those who won, nice try to those who lost and I hope people like the show for what it is.
Trent, Obo and Justa Mazing picked a superstar at random each to decide who filled in the intermission space, that was just there since real house shows do them and from time to time I might use them for something else.
We had a good few no shows on this card, I expect that from some of the new guys but other people, these matches you make yourself so unless there is a personnal issue there is no excuse for no showing it. Don't waste my time and others by putting yourself on a card to then not show.
House show 2's final card will be up shortly and then we'll get setting up house show 3, but some of you remember your Code Red duties.
