Nothing beats the Four Horsemen. And when I say nothing, I mean nothing. Like SG stated earlier, Evolution was basiclly the Four Horsemen of WWE. They were good, but not as good as the original Four Horsemen. Their promos were amazing, and with Ric Flair as the leader, it was amazing. However, like every other stable, after awhile when more and more people joined the stable, it got old and ruined. My vote is for the Four Horsemen, of course.

Everyone who doesn't say the original Four Horsemen, is going to be beaten to death with a carrot. Yup. Honestly, how can it not be the Four Horsemen? For those who say Evolution - that was basically WWE's "Four Horsemen". I thought it was FAVORITE staple not the greatest. Personally I suppose you HAVE to say horsemen are the best cause they were first. But I'd say not too many people actually think they are they're favorite. Ole had no charisma and didn't even look like a wrestler, Arn and Tully were boring for the most part, good tag team but where would they be without Ric? Ric was they only fun person to watch. DX probably is my favorite although Evolution is a close second. NWO could have been the greatest if they would have split up after two years. |

I'm confused because the topic says best and the poll asks for favorite.
If it's best then I'd have a problem with the Horsemen not being number 1, but if it's favorite then I suppose most people haven't experienced the greatness that is the horsemen. They created a legacy, everything about them was great and they were the originals. Evolution as has already been stated were a watered down IV Horsemen, the legacy that Evolution was pretty much nothing, nothing beats the horsemen.
Oh yeah I voted for the horsemen.

My vote: The Corporation. They were the top stable during wrestling's most successful period, and absolutely vital to prolonging the Austin-McMahon feud (which is not my favourite feud ever by a long shot, but is the biggest feud in wrestling history).
People are voting for The Horsemen because it's trendy, and I bet that less than half the voters were even fans at the time or have even seen the Horsemen's stuff. The Horsemen were a regional group so didn't reach as many fans, except in the WCW years - where, let's face it, every version of the group was rather lacking. I think at one point Malenko and Benoit were both in there? Great promos, those two guys.
The NWO did as much bad as it did good (it made WCW, but it also killed it).
The Hart Foundation and DX were both great. Evolution were fantastic - and never watered themselves down by recruiting inferior members - but wrestling was pretty sucky when they were in full force. The "Main Event Mafia" shouldn't even be in a poll like this. The first version of them (the Millionaires Club) was watched by more people than any TNA broadcast has been.

IV Horsemen.
I gotta say though in their heyday DX,NWO and the Corperation were all great too.
Heel stables are usually better IMO.... although the face 5 man DX was awesome

Back then, wrestlers were not all roided out like they are today, so comparing him to the wretslers of the day, yes, they were. Ole actually was pretty charismatic, but it was in an old school way, before Flair really redefined charisma. If you think Arn and Tully were boring, you MUST be out of your mind. |
