Any interest in this match anymore? I remember back when Angle started using the ankle lock, it became a fanboy dream to see a match between them. It seems like it might be possible now, what with Shamrock's diminishing role in MMA and his TNA links. It also seems like a wrestling match that might interest the MMA-influenced wrestling fan. I think TNA should try and make it happen, even if it's a case of bringing in Shamrock just for a month or two.

I've never wanted to see that match. Why, because it'll lack high spots?  It'd be an awesome match, a massively good technical-based contest. I've wanted to see that match for like ever tbh. |

I was a huge Shamrock fan back in the day... if he still has it I'd imagine a match with Kurt Angle would be considered nothing short of a war. Stiff shots, mat wrestling, and submission counters galore... even if it is for just one night at some PPV this match needs to happen.

Shamrock used to be one of my favourites, and Kurt vs. Shamrock would be a great match to see. But Ken has aged abit. I wish we saw this back when Kurt and Ken where both in the WWF.

It would've been a better match around 2000 or so, but it'd still be a good match. But I'm sure TNA would do an MMA exhibition of some sort instead, or in addition to. I always thought Shamrock should come back to TNA because it looks like he is virtually done in MMA.

I dunno, Shamrock was the man when I was young, both for MMA and wrestling but in MMA terms he's had his ass beat so many times I just wouldn't want this match to happen.
Pro-Wrestling wise, it may be worth a venture. Though I'm probably bias to Kenny, and expect a lot of what he did in 97/98 in terms of throws, suplexes, and submissions when in truth Angle would probably make Ken look old, slow and rusty.

angle v. shamrock in mma would be absolutely awful as ken has NOTHING to offer anymore, but in the wrestling ring, i would LOVE to see them go at it. maybe bring in as many tna originals as possible for a LIMITED nostalgia run. i'd be all for that!

In the end, Ken wouldn't be able to compete due to a large gash on his forehead.
All in all, this would be a trainwreck of a wrestling match. Ken couldn't tell a decent story in the ring to save his life. Not even Angle could make the match decent and it would just be as bad as when they had AJ vs Frank Trigg.
