Bret Hart did nothing for the business. He's just another superstar, he didnt revolutionize anything. He and Dynamite kid proved that smaller guys can work just as hard and have fantastic matches. What wrestling are you watching?

I'm going to go with Ric Flair. I've been a fan of him since my early days of watching WCW. I believe that Flair compared to Hart has done more for the wrestling business as a whole.

I really don't like any of them since I never watched them.
I voted for Bret because he was down.

What wrestling are you watching? See, Hart is overrated. He was decent at best on the mic, and he didnt prove that all alone, guys like HBK helped him and became bigger stars than him. Ive watched a lot of Hart matches and i dont see where people are getting off on these "fantastic matches". The only matches anyone remembers are the ones that everyone remembers, like Hart/Austin, Hart/Hart, and Hart/HBK, and theres a reason that no one remembers any others. His character was about as charismatic as a bag of rocks, it was just so bland to me. And if anything he disgraced the business with his crybaby attitude after the Screwjob, all he gave to the business is an example of how to be a bitter burnt out wrestler, IMO.

Honestly, how long have you been watching wrestling? I'm guessing you were too young to watch wrestling when Bret was in the WWF. WTF are you talking about HBK helped Hart? I expect to see more Flair fans on here than Hart fans. Flair was on WWE not that long ago and I think a great deal of the members didn't watch wrestling when Bret was in the WWF(not WCW). I chose Bret but I'm being biased. In interviews when asked about facing Bret, all the wrestlers say how easy/great it was wrestling Bret. I don't have anything good or bad to say about Flair. Actually neither of them really did any for the business. They did more for their companies than for the business.

Bret Hart for me.
After hearing dirt on Ric Flair and how hes assed kissed all these years i've lost my respect from him, apparently he stole Buddy Rogers gimmick aswell.

Dude wtf are you talking about?? A lot of people on here (including myself) have been watching wrestling since they were old enough to remember. I want you to go watch some of Bret's tag team matches with Jim Neidhart, his stuff in stampede wrestling and watch his matches with guys like Razor Ramon, Bam Bam, Mr. Perfect, his match against Flair in Saskatoon. Watch the Sumemrslam '92 match between him and Davey, and the match from In Your House, where he faced Davey again. Bret Hart for 20 years has been putting out remarkable matches with people of every size and shape, hell he was even the last guy in the Wrestlemania II rumble and was eliminated by Andre. Bret Hart is one of wrestling's greatest superstars and ranks up there in the top 10 of the best of all time (imo of course) So before you make a stupid post like that again, please watch some wrestling.

Ric Flair effected the business more, but Bret Hart entertained me more and that's really all that matters in the end.

Wow...someone in here actually thought that HBK helped Bret out... if not for Bret and Dynamite Kid.. HBK wouldn't have had a spot in wrestling.

Bret Hart, Ric was boring in the ring. Bret had so much technical skill as did Flair. Bret however, knew who to use this skill. No doubt about it, Ric had some amazing matches, but, compare his ast match with HBK to Brets matches with Shawn and there isn't really a comparison. Flair was good but hung on to his legacy alittle too long. He should of retired after the WCW went down. If anyone doubts Hart, look at his WM match with Austin or either of his matches with Mr Perfect. There were possibly 3 of the best 'wrestling' matches I have ever seen. Bret was an amazing wrestler, possibly, along with guys like Angle, Perfect, Benoit and Malenko, one of the best the world will ever see. Flair was an entertainer, in the same class as the Rock and Austin. They were too very different types of Superstar. Bret was my favourite because I loved to watch the 'wrestling' side of things, and, as many of us know bret had the promo skills of a lamp post. This is one of these arguements that could never be proven, it's all a matter of an opinion and what different people watch wrestling is for. No one point is correct, each opinion is valid and worth a say. Different generations will say different things to, for instance I grew up watching Bret Hart in his prime and just missed out on Flair, thats probably why I'm more biased to one side of this arguement but in my opinion Bret was a better wrestler than Ric. Two very deserving wrestlers who both deserve there place in the hall of fame. In all fairness Ric Flair most likely did more for the business than Bret because of the length of his career. However, the legacy around the Hart family is a massive factor in this debate. It's a tough question with no correct answer, every different person will have a different view of this question and, so, they should. ![;)](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wink.gif)

Ric Flair. Kurt Angle has the chance to be better than them both though.

Im not going to lie, i started watching in 94, and i was very young, and i remember Hart, but ive seen a lot of his matches and interviews, and i never saw anything special in him. And Michaels was right there beside Hart when they were ushering in an era "the smaller guys" like the guy mentioned who 1st quoted me. Its not even that im a Flair mark either, he's almost as bad as Hart, i dont like either of their attitudes or the decisions they made in their careers.
