Seriously, the only thing that could get people cheering him again would be to turn him heel. He's too much of a money-maker and their present day version of Hogan to do it right now though. But think how big Hogan turning heel was, they could definitely do something, not THAT big, but certainly pretty large with it.

Get him back to the point where he was in 2003. Give him the "Austin" character. Major tweener... Make him a face due to the fact that he acts like a heel. I think elements of Steve Austin and Eddie Guererro along with Cena's own personal traits would send him over the top.
