BOB KNIGHT OFFICIALLY REJECTS TNA WRESTLING JOB OFFER
Bob Knight is officially not coming to Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling, it was confirmed today.
Randy Farley, a spokesman for the Texas Tech University basketball program, called to inform TNA officials that Knight, the former Red Raiders head men’s basketball coach who surprisingly resigned on February 4, will not accept TNA’s offer to become the first-ever TNA Head Coach.
Farley was polite and gracious, speaking on behalf of Coach Knight, when he said by phone that Knight also would not be available to tape a brief statement for “TNA iMPACT!” (Thursdays, 9 p.m. ET, Spike TV) about the TNA Head Coaching job-offer.
It was announced on February 28 that Knight will be joining ESPN as a men’s college basketball studio analyst during Championship Week and for NCAA Tournament coverage.
“We knew luring Coach Knight to TNA Wrestling was a long-shot, sort of like a half-court shot at the buzzer, but we had to give it a shot,” said TNA Wrestling co-founder Jeff Jarrett, who played high school and junior college basketball before becoming a pro wrestler. “The door to TNA Wrestling is always open to Coach Knight.”

I'm sure he laughed when he heard about the offer.

TNA even announcing an offer without having him actually signed is just stupid. Even if they assumed he wouldn't accept, was it even worth the zero press this got? Nope.

I'm surprised they don't contact Jerry Glanville next.
Then they could do an angle where Honky Tonk Man tries to collect on the free tickets Glanville always leaves for Elvis.

See, even those outside of the business know, TNA has no idea what they are doing.
