I'm very disappointed how TNA has booked Joe this year. Even though he was champion for some time, it was a very poorly booked reign, and a very poorly managed reign from the start. The whole time he was champion, it didn't look like TNA knew really what they wanted to do or where they wanted to go with it. They didn't get him the right contenders for the title, and it just ended up making Joe still looking weak.
Since he's lost the title to Sting, he has still looked weak, even weaker than when he was when he was champion. He just got pinned at Final Resolution, so this is the 3rd straight PPV where he has gotten pinned. He's also been pinned on iMPACT since he lost the belt. You can't make a star like Joe get pinned that many times in that short of a span.
I have no idea what the hell they really want to do with him. It's pretty sad.

Yeah, I think with hiim being pinned tonight they might go the route of 3D trying to convince AJ to kick Joe out the FL tbh.

I can't even believe that Samoa Joe was once one of my favorite guys to watch and now I can't stand him because of poor booking. TNA totally ruined him and I don't think he will ever recover from it.

I really don't see the appeal in Samoa Joe to be honest, yeah hes a fat guy that can wrestle like an X-Division wrestler but to be honest he sucks as a face, I loved his stuff back in 2005/2006 where we had his Undefeated streak and would just destroy anyone infront of him, but now all i see in him now is some fat boring wrestler, his Promos are piss boring and all he does is moan and bitch.

I was never a huge fan of Joe to begin with. But I was liking the guy a little bit in 2005/early 2006. But since around then he has taken a decline in my opinion. I don't think he's cut out for having a company built around him on national TV. He is a great worker and a top guy to some extent, but I never saw him as that centerpiece that TNA wanted him to be. For TNA, I thought it would be Monty Brown (although they failed on it) or A.J. Styles.

I like Joe but lately he has not looked good. I really don't think it has anything to do with the book either. The man looks like he is half assing it in the ring to me. I don't care if you know you are going to do the job. You still have a job to do. No pun intended. Joe just looks lazy and lethargic in the ring. I don't know if he is uninterested or what but he needs to straighten up.
As far as his weight goes. I'm not usually one to judge people on the basis of their looks but Joe needs to drop some lbs.. He is definitely the fattest i've ever seen him right now. Maybe that has something to do with his ring work. I don't know. I just know he is a lot heavier than he was in ROH and when he first came to TNA. Mix in some salads or get a new workout routine big fella.
So in short. I agree Joe looks like s**t these days. However in my opinion he is just as much at fault for it as the TNA booking committee is.

TNA should give Joe a vacation after this MEM/Front Line storyline... give him time to drop some weight and "collect himself." Let AJ and Daniels be the top homegrown guys for a while... then have him return as a face before immediately turning heel in some fashion. This time around let his actions speak louder than any words. Oh, and he could stand to change up his ring attire... look isn't everything, but it's important.

Joe was amazing when he was a monster that just destroyed all that stood before him. But TNA has booked his so poorly that I can honestly say I dislike the character he is now portraying.

My dad was watching TNA iMPACT with me last Thursday, and he's heard of Samoa Joe, but has never saw him. Needless to say, when my dad saw him, he was like, "Samoa Joe is a fat ass." I couldn't really agree with him that he is "fat", but he is a little out of shape. But part of the problem is how he is booked. He needs to face Styles, not team with him. However, with the MEM, it's hard to do that. He needs to feud with Angle.

Another Angle/Joe saga would be TERRIBLE. The feud has already ran its course. It could have been done so much better. I want to see another Joe/Nash match, with Joe going over. So that feud can finally end. It's been brewing since October.

TNA completely ed up Samoa Joe. If you haven't seen his ROH stuff, then you guys don't know who you're looking at. If he was booked correctly, then Joe could've been the greatest wrestler in all of TNA. |
