It's a real tragedy to see how bad booking can really ruin a great wrestler. I miss that silent, yet explosive badass from 2005-2006.

TNA should give Joe a vacation after this MEM/Front Line storyline... give him time to drop some weight and "collect himself." Let AJ and Daniels be the top homegrown guys for a while... then have him return as a face before immediately turning heel in some fashion. This time around let his actions speak louder than any words. Oh, and he could stand to change up his ring attire... look isn't everything, but it's important. I'm definitely 100% with you on this. Joe needs to take the same vacation that Daniels is coming off of. TNA had completely wrecked Christopher Daniels leading up to last years feast or fired match. He went from being tag team champions with AJ to being lost in horrendous angles that never seemed to have any resolution. Plus he had that crazy eye paint and persona going on that wasn't working for me either. The only real way to repair Daniels was to get him out of sight and mind for awhile. Now he can return right in to the biggest angle in the company and reestablish himself as a top TNA guy again. I can't wait for his return. Although a small part of me will actually miss Curryman. Joe should take some time to decompress and refocus. If I were him I would really work on the weight too. I know Joe will never be ripped but he is just pretty much fat right now. He should just get in the best shape he can and come back as the killer we like him to be. I don't think he needs a year long break but six months would work wonders. I hope it happens.

i dunno where to begin, but most of you share my sentiments. the only thing i will say since it has been mentioned is that joe should keep the weight and stay as a 'big guy'. iam bored with every wrestler being the same now a days,i.e i miss the vaders and bam bams of the past.

i think he's stil greta in the ring but i hate how he is being used right now, he could be the voice of the frontline seems like he's on the back burner, no mic time, seems like he's jsut the muscle

Joe use to be good. Its not even about how he gained HELLA more weight.
He just sucks now. He hasnt had a good match since Angle..he never does what he use to do.

I thought he and Nash and he and Sting were good contests but that's just me.
He won the belt way too late. He should have won it at Bound For Glory 06 in my eyes.

My dad was watching TNA iMPACT with me last Thursday, and he's heard of Samoa Joe, but has never saw him. Needless to say, when my dad saw him, he was like, "Samoa Joe is a fat ass." I couldn't really agree with him that he is "fat", but he is a little out of shape. But part of the problem is how he is booked. He needs to face Styles, not team with him. However, with the MEM, it's hard to do that. He needs to feud with Angle. A LITTLE OUT OF SHAPE?!?!?!?! A 6' tall man weighing 300 pounds with a stomach that looks like a wad of silly puddy is A LITTLE OUT OF SHAPE? Do me a favor, and never become a fitness trainer.

Joe has just been booked terribly. His size was never really an issue but he has gone from being an undefeated, bad ass to a guy who is dull, boring and when those are his only qualities his weight seems more of an issue.
