So I have seen Hotstuff for a while now. I have seen him on the indys and yeah he is talented. They partner him up with Homicide and the two are an awesome team. But in terms of mic skills, charisma, in ring skills, ability to market....how is Hernandez favored over Homicide.
This to me is similar to how TNA early on tried to push Chris Harris to singles status and look at what happened there?
I mean I like Hernandez a lot but after reading the spoilers and seeing all the rough cuts and stuff like that, what in the hell makes TNA think that Hernandez is marketable?

The fact that he is a generally big guy that is very talented. He can move in a Mike Awesome-esque manner and can just destroy everyone in his path. Hell, if he were to get involved in the MEM/Frontline feud, seeing him pull a swerve and fake joining the MEM and then he destroys them one by one (in a fashion similar to Brent Albright and SNS earlier this year) would be a markout for me.
And for the record, I liked Harris' single run in 04.

Because Homicide is a bit wreckless nowadays. Hernandez is a big guy who has big guy strength and rey mysterio agility...He is an amazing in ring competitor..

Hernandez is way more marketable to general wrestling fans than Homicide. Though not being too good on the mic doesn't help Hernandez.

Because he has a believable look and is really agile for his size. I hate to use the size card for Homicide, but I think it applies here. His size and look just don't equal to a TV main eventer in my opinion. I think if Hernandez had a GOOD manager, he could be a main eventer.

If they play up the "Super Mex" gimmick a bit more I'm sure he could be marketable... have him come out to the ring wearing a cape and sombrero.

Because Hernandez is awesome. I think Homicide is the better wrestler but don't sleep on Hernandez. I think the reason Hernandez is looked at as being more marketable is because of his size. Homicide really doesn't work a cruiserweight style and most guys in TNA are bigger than him.

I'm not big on Hernandez or even LAX for that matter. I do enjoy them a lot more now as faces but they're still not something I would go out of my way to see. I don't see this push going very far...there's just too much going on in TNA right now...mainly the MEM/Frontline storyline. It could happen eventually but I don't see it happening soon.
