Hello my gaming brethren. I have become bored, and am looking for a new game to hold my interest for a while. I'm not good at FPS games, so that eliminates obvious things like CoD, Halo, GoW, etc. etc.
Usually I play very Nintendoey games, arcade fighters, etc... simple stuff, pretty much. Stuff like Spore also catches my interest (especially creature stage <3). And I LOVED Portal.
What would WF reccomend I give a shot? I'm looking for visually attrative, a good thought provoking story, maybe some puzzles, with good character depth. And something that doesn't require me to quickly aim and blow something's head off before it eats me (I love zombies, but I don't have the gaming skills required for FPS).
I was considering Silent Hill, but I really can't go back to PS2 graphics, and I've heard Origins was shit.

Prince of Persia's great. I know it's getting some bad marks from people, but give Mirrors Edge a shot. You can go through the whole game without firing a shot and it's not THAT bad. It's a First-Person platforming game. Because of the perspective, you're just going to  up. A lot. Also, if you have a Wii, you can't go wrong with Zack and Wiki, No More Heroes, and De Blob. |

Mirrors Edge, not much guns involved and you can get by without using them and working out the routes takes a bit of thought.
Spider-Man Web of Shadows, obviously Spider-Man doesn't use guns and it's quite simple fun
Mass Effect though that's kinda part shooter thats not really what its main basis is
Oblivion, it's quite action packed but its not got guns and things since its a medieval ish RPG type thing
Overlord, it's pretty cheap now and has some good humor to it
Hitman Blood Money, another one that features guns but for the most part the more you plan out the hit to look like an accident the better the game rates you, it can take alot of thinking and planning to decide the best way to do them, plus its pretty cheap these days.
Assassins Creed, again its action based but its not guns because of the time frame, has clever ways to kill people and the story is also quite intriguing.
I'd recommend Hitman the most myself since I think it is an absolute classic but I thought I'd mention the others.

Just get Dead Space. It's not that difficult, and if you were thinking about Silent Hill I'm sure you'd love the atmosphere. It's an over-the-shoulder viewpoint like RE4 (and every other game these days really). You do have to quickly aim sometimes but not at the head - at the limbs.

Dead Rising is a Zombie game thats not FPS.
Pretty easy too.

Assassin's Creed has my interest. I'll check out a few others here too.
The main problem I face is that I'm stuck in the sidescroller days... once we gained the ability to move in a 3D atmosphere, it was all downhill for me as a skilled gamer.
Did I mention I love Trauma Center?

I don't know what non-Wii system you possess, but you have a 360 you should check out the Xbox Live Arcade games.

Dead Rising - it will only last you for a month or so, but i seen it for $10.
Metal Gear Solid 4 - Since you don't like shooters, this is great for you as you can just sneak your way around the enemies
GTA4 - Steal a car, drive safe, drive dangerous, drive by, run them over, or get out the car and beat them senseless with a baseball bat, shoot any witness's and drive off as fast as you can. Just a day in the life of GTA4, great game.
