TNA WRESTLING ANNOUNCES "GLOBAL IMPACT 2" WITH TNA VS. NEW JAPAN PRO WRESTLING Footage from the anticipated inter-promotional war to air exclusively on SpikeTV
Last January, the superstars of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling journeyed to the far east to battle the superstars of New Japan Pro Wrestling in an inter-promotional war!
The footage from that acclaimed Tokyo Dome event later aired on SpikeTV and left the wrestling world buzzing. In fact, the DVD quickly became one of TNA's best-selling releases of all-time!
Now...Total Nonstop Action Wrestling is happy to announce "Global Impact 2" with TNA vs. New Japan, taking place at the big Tokyo Dome show on January 4.
TNA's Television Production team will document the journey every step of the way - from the trip over, the Japanese culture, all the action from the matches and so much more.
A special broadcast dedicated to the event will air on SpikeTV at a later date (more details to come!)
TNAwrestling.com can confirm the following matches have been signed for the TNA vs. New Japan event (more bouts to be announced, card subject to change):
Main Event: Kurt Angle, Kevin Nash, Riki Choshu, Masahiro Chono vs. Takashi Iizuka, Giant Bernard, Karl Anderson, Tomohiro Ishii
Three-Way Match: Team 3D (Brother Ray & Brother Devon) vs. IWGP Tag Team, Champions Togi Makabe & Toru Yano vs. Tenzan & Kojima
The Motor City Machine Guns vs. IWGP Junior Tag Team Champions "No Limit" (Naito & Yujiro)
Check back to TNAwrestling.com in the coming week for more news on "Global Impact 2"

Kojima and Tenzan will win. And there will be no more TNA matches on the card. All of the matches have been announced. Yep, they might as well just add Muto vs. Tanahashi to top it off. Otherwise, this release is pointless.

This doesn't sound nearly as good as the first "Global Impact", but I'm still very pleased with what I'm seeing on the card so far. Nice move, TNA.

No one here knows who anybody is besides the TNA guys, so why post it?
And you're missing 2 matches. Akiyama vs. Nakanishi and Misawa/Sugiura vs. Nakamura/Goto.

YES! I was hoping that this year's TNA matches at the NJPW Tokyo Dome show would be DVD, and now they are! I'm a little glad that there is only three matches, as last year the cut short a lot of the matches on the television version. But I'm looking toward that eight man tag. But I would love to see the Tanahashi and Muto match, but it isn't TNA. Sadly. Should be good though.

I think the first card looked better. I'm a little disappointed that there's no 1-on-1 match involving the TNA guys. Angle-Nagata was just so awesome.

I love being right. Too bad this can't be Global Impact II. It probably will be, Global Impact was the 1/4 show. But with Mistico and the Guns this show is going to be awesome. So far it's beating this years show. I really thought the Guns should've been there this year. I would love to see them take on Minoru and Devitt sometime. Why would it be a Global Impact show when only 6 TNA guys are working it? Well it would be better than normal Impact. I don't see Eric Young, Afro Thunder, ODB, Cute Kip, etc. Plus they can make Global Impact a half hour if needed or include more backstage stuff. There were 8 on the last one, you never know if NJPW wants to have another 6 or 8 man tag against TNA. They can always send Petey Williams, AJ Styles, and someone else. But I digress, this is already TNA's best show of the year.
