I haven't watched TNA in a while, and now Sting is in a heel stable? So is he just a tweener or a full fledged heel now? And who's he feuding with (not who the MAM is feuding with, but in singles)?
BTW, does the "Legends" belt actually get defended, or is it more like the M$ belt?

Sting is a heel... he's like the Don of the MEM... he won't engage in the dirty work but he condones it. He has been feuding with AJ.
The Legends belt was defended by Booker against Christian, though where they're going with the concept is anyone's guess.

Sting is like the Godfather of professional wrestling
Just watch The Godfather to understand Stings role in the main event mafia.

Sting is NOT a heel. He should never be a heel. He hangs with the heels, he engages in heel tactics... he's a heel.

Yeah he's a heel. Kurt Angle's like the Prime Minister and Sting is like the King in the sense that Kurt runs everything and Sting watches it from his pedestal but is still the leader.
Or at least he would be a heel if this was WWE, TNA are trying to create a real sports atmosphere that divides the fans, like a 'which team do you support?' type thing. I for one love it, I think it's what wrestling's been lacking for such a long time.
What they're doing is they've got all the older guys together in a stable and they're having them feud with the front running young guys so they can pass the torch, I don't know how long it'll last though.

Yeah I think they are setting it up that Sting is gonna realize the young guys do respect him and Sting doesnt respect the actions of Angle, Booker, etc.

I still wonder what path the storyline would have taken if Christian was there.

Sting is on a heel team, but he is a tweener within the group. he doesn't partake in the beat downs. He most of the time doesn't agree with how the group wins. But he stands by them because he feels that the group is doing what the youngins deserve to have happen to them.

A face doesn't look on while another face gets outnumbered and brutalized... the law would call Sting an accessory to a crime. Just like any top guy in a mafia that has his subordinates pull the trigger, he is just as guilty... of course they're also doing it so they can turn Sting face with little difficulty in the future but that doesn't change the here and now... and tbh, I think they're doing a damn fine job in the way they're booking a heel Sting... his heelness is subtle and not in your face, which is how it should be.

Well obviously he is... and like I said, he's doing a beautiful job of it. Being a heel doesn't begin and end with insulting the audience and using Flair-like tactics... it's about morality. Does a person of morals condone brutal attacks of guys who are just trying to prove their self worth, all to enforce his own pessimistic belief towards their ability to be the future of the business? Think what you will, but Sting is a heel... not a heel like Flair, not a heel like JBL, Chris Jericho or Kurt Angle, but a heel nonetheless. People are also too quick to attatch the tweener label on guys who are heel but get cheered... the audience doesn't have the luxury of deciding who is heel or face, if they did John Cena would've been a heel numerous times since his first WWE title reign.
