First of all, I would just like to say, for being a new guy, you are a great writer and booker. I see a lot of good things coming from you in the future. Anyways, Raw as a good show, it it seemed like I was actually watching it on TV. The opening segment was written really well, and I'm liking how JBL is using Michaels for the title shot. But I think the Royal Rumble match between Cena/Michaels will be really good. The tag team match was also good, and I enjoyed Rhodes being the star in the match. I love that guy. And I'm glad they picked up the win. I love Hass impersonating Razor Ramon, but I think I liked Buchill actually winning even more. IC title push, please. The tag team match was pretty good, but I don't like Regal much, so I wasn't a big fan of the match. But overall, it was good wrestling, and I'm happy that Punk/Kingston picked up the win. The rest of the show was great as well, and the main event was awesome. I'm not a fan of Batista, but you made me like the match. Overall, a great show, and I look foward to reading another show. Keep this diary up, and I think it will be HOF bound.

That's cool that HBK sold the #1 contender spot to JBL, because I could see that happening, and it will only add to the HBK/JBL angle. Cody/Manu Vs. Cryme Tyme was a pretty good opener. Burchill going over Haas is nice, I really hope you give Burchill a good push. Typical, but good that Punk pinned Regal in the tag match to build up to their IC title match. Good filler match with the Diva's Tag match. Glad that Beth and Jillian won. Jericho Vs. HBK is always good. Good way to have the main event end in a DQ.

The font used for these shows are pretty unique, I gotta admit I'm a fan of that. Good opening contest used to hype up Shawn Michaels vs John Cena (that should be awesome, but Cena will probably retain). I liked John Bradshaw Layfield then saying that it'll be him facing Cena in which case Cena better win. Cody Rhodes and Manu, the green team beating Cryme Tyme is okay, I hate Cody and Manu but Cryme Tyme I depise. Awesome for Paul Burchill to beat Charlie Haas, nice change for Burchill. CM Punk and Rey Mysterio beating Mike Knox and William Regal is how it should be, Knox and Mysterio's feud I hope goes nowhere as it's completely useless and filling. I am not a fan whatsoever of Chris Jericho fighting Shawn Michaels in the main event of the first hour, I wish people would stop doing this as their feud died at RAW in England, November. Too big a match in my opinion. Beth Phoenix and Jillian Hall beating Kelly Kelly and Melina is fine, hope Beth finally drops the WWE Womens Championship eventually to Melina. Good main event, liked the disqualification victory for Batista and John Cena with JBL triggering a DQ.

Good opening promo, you captured JBL well. Good thing Priceless won over Cryme Tyme, I think these four wouldn't have chemistry.
Everything seemed pretty nice, especially the backstage segments.

Really creative idea with JBL buying that title shot. Cody & Manu winning made sense. Since Punk pinned Regal, I'm guessing Regal will retain when theyh fight. Like how JBL sort of costed HBK the match. Although since it wasn't the main event, maybe HBK could have been counted out or something. Surprised Beth won her match as I expected Melina to get the pin on Jillian. Really strong way to end Raw. Overall it was a good show. It was interesting, yet realistic enough. I have noticed some improvement over the weeks, keep it up.

I think the font is a pain in the ass to read. With that style, the color, and smaller font its just hard to read.
I like that you had HBK sell his title match. Original and creative. Though this whole storyline is so, I don't know odd. I'd be a bigger fan of it coming to a close to be honest.
Hass as Razor Ramon...why? Random. Punk and Mysterio getting the win is nice. Hope Punk can recapture the IC title. Jericho vs Michaels on free tv is pretty huge. Wonder why JBL came out. Decent main event to close out the show. Sounds like something they would do.

Putting it all in italics is a bad idea I think, glad knox is getting used, nice move by JBL using his buisness, glad Rhodes and Manu wan not a fan of Cryme Tyme, Punk 4 Champ, nice build up to tag match, Razor Haas glad Birchill got the win however should have a IC push against Punk once he wins, love the HBK/Cena/JBL story you write it well, bit sad Knox didn't win but Punk and Rey teaming should be awsome, more storyline development on HBK/JBL and i'm loving it, meh divas match, Dolph why so high on the card?, good main event, keep this up I won't say HOF but its good, good luck

Wow, I just read through all of this, and for a new Simmer, you're progressing really well. I cannot stand the look of yours show however. The font, the colour and the size makes it look fugly. Liked how you noted that Layla and Regal hated being near Knox. It adds to their snobby gimmick, and Knox who looks like a hobo. People will complain about giving Jericho/HBK away on TV instead of PPV, but both men had a lengthy feud and I'm sure if we saw Jericho/HBK next week on Raw, people wouldn't complain because it'd be a good match. Overall, you're doing a good job, mate. Keep it up!

December 30, 2008 Best of ECW 2008
This episode of ECW was just the yearly recap of the past year of ECW.
The episode highlighted each ECW title change this year. From CM Punk losing to Chavo Guerrero. Chavo losing to Kane at WreslteMania 24, then losing it to Mark Henry at Night of Champions. Then finally, to Matt Hardy winning the Championship Scrambe at Unforgiven.
It also highlighted the young stars the brand has built like CM Punk, Evan Bourne, John Morrison, The Miz & Kofi Kingston.
Lastly, the show focused on what’s going to happen in 2009 with ECW. It focused on Matt Hardy, Jack Swagger, Elijah Burke, DJ Gabriel, Ricky Ortiz & the new tag team of Scotty Goldman & Ace Steel.

Not really that much to say about the last ECW, but it's cool that you did a show like that. As for the Royal Rumble card, I wish Punk Vs. Regal would have been on an episode of RAW instead, because 2000 was the last year that anyone had wrestled in a regular match on the show, then was in the Royal Rumble match, aside from Lesnar beating Big Show in '03 for a spot in the Rumble. I'm hoping you go with Shelton to challenge Jeff, that way Triple H and Undertaker can be in the Royal Rumble Match itself.

this a pretty good diary and I hope to see Shelton Benjamin take on Jeff Hardy at the Royal Rumble because that'd be one hell of a contest. Plus you got Regal Vs Punk which should be good and Kane coming back with a new character/build should be great as well.
Hoping to see a surprise rumble winner like a return of Christian Cage or just some random out of nowhere winnner that no one would ever expect to win a royal rumble.

Very realistic for ECW on Sci-Fi to have a mere recap of the last year. Good stuff.

-WWE has come to terms with some Superstars as part of some cost-cutting moves. The WWE wishes them all well in their future endeavors. The Superstars who were released were... Bam Neeley Deuce D-Lo Brown "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan- The plan right now is for Cena to keep his the World Heavyweight Title at Royal Rumble and go on to defend it in a Fatal Four Way Elimination Match at WrestleMania 25. Plans could change but this seems to be the direction they're headed. - There is talk of bringing back the ECW Television Championship as a way to help establish the New Superstar Initiative in the ECW. - Vince McMahon has liked the way that MVP has handled his losing streak. The fact that he's still getting heat and still putting on some very good matches has Mr. McMahon very happy. So happy that he has, in fact, chosen when the streak will end and has told MVP about it. There's talk of a big push for MVP once he gets back on the winning track.

January 2, 2009 Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa
This week’s episode kicks off with a video highlighting Shane McMahon announcing he’s the new Co-GM of Smackdown! Then his announcement of a two-week mini tournament to determine the number one contender for Jeff Hardy’s WWE Title. It then shows the beating Triple H was given, followed by Triple H taking out the Big Show and putting him on the shelf. It ends by showcasing the WWE Title match last week and Hardy staring down Triple H & Shelton Benjamin when the lights went out and the ring became surrounded by smoke.
Tazz & Jim Ross welcome us to Smackdown! They announce that in the mini-tournament tonight, The Undertaker will take on Shelton Benjamin while Triple H will go against whoever replaces the Big Show. Also, we’ll witness the battle of the giants as the “Punjabi Playboy” The Great Khali takes on the “Moscow Mauler” Vladimir Kozlov. They also mention the Fatal Four-Way coming up now, featuring four of the top contenders for the United States Championship.
Fatal Four Way Hurricane Helms vs. MVP vs. R-Truth vs. The Brian Kendrick w/Ezekiel Jackson
This match featured some fantastic action and showed that WWE really is trying hard to re-establish its mid-card. All four men looked good in the ring with MVP shining. Each man hit a key move at one point, with Kendrick nailing a turning frog splash on Helms. As he got up R-Truth nailed him with a scissors kick. R-Truth started to get up by MVP hit him with a Drive By. MVP taunted the crowd but Helms came from behind and hit him with the Nightmare on Helms street for only a two count. All four men were down until the referee hit the count of 8. They all got up and MVP nailed a huge big boot on R-Truth. Kendrick ran at Helms, who back body dropped him to the outside. MVP ran at him and got the same treatment. R-Truth got up to his knees and got hit with a Shining Wizard for the 3 count.
Winner: Hurricane Helms
Commercial Break.
We come back and Vickie Guerrero and Shane McMahon are both in the ring. Shane begins to talk and says that they’re out here to address the Big Show situation. He says that last week, the only person Vickie nominated to be in the mini-tournament was the Big Show, but because he is now injured they have agreed that she should name the replacement in the tournament tonight. Vickie gets on the mic and says that her replacement will be the clear cut winner and will defeat Jeff Hardy for the title at the Royal Rumble. Her replacement is the “Rated R Superstar” Edge! Edge then comes out to the entrance and cuts a promo saying that Jeff Hardy got lucky last week and his luck will run out at the Rumble!
In the back, we see Jeff Hardy watching on a monitor holding his WWE Title on his shoulder. His brother, the ECW Champion, Matt Hardy comes in and they talk about who Jeff could possibly face at the Rumble. Jeff mentions that Shelton is the most athletic, ‘Taker is the biggest, Triple H is possibly the strongest and Edge is easily the sneakiest. Matt tells him to make sure he watches those matches tonight. Matt leaves the locker room and the camera follows him. Out of nowhere he’s laid out with a steel chair by Vladimir Kozlov.
Commercial Break.
We come back and see Jeff Hardy leave his locker room to find his brother just getting up from his attack. Jeff asks him what happened and Matt said he’s sick and tired of being sneak attacked by Vladimir Kozlov.
Tag Team Match Jesse & Festus vs. World Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz
This was put on the card to basically showcase Miz & Morrison a little more as they both looked awesome in this match. They continue to establish themselves as a top tag team in the WWE. Festus dominated as usual, but surprisingly Miz & Morrison didn’t go after the ring bell this time. They weathered his storm until he tagged in Jesse and they began to beat on Jesse and ended it when Morrison hit his Split-Legged Corkscrew Moonsault. Miz ran in and jumped at Festus who caught him and slammed him, which took long enough to allow Morrison to get the three.
Winners: World Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz
Backstage, we see the Colons walking towards the arena talking strategy about Carlito’s match with TJ Wilson.
Commercial Break.
Edge and Vickie Guerrero are seen in the back. Edge is thanking Vickie for giving him another chance at his WWE Title. She says she does it because she loves him. Shane McMahon walks into the room and kindly informs Vickie and Edge that during Edge’s match with Triple H, there will be no outside interference allowed. Edge and Vickie look pissed off at Shane as he leaves the room.
Singles Match Carlito w/Primo vs. TJ Wilson w/Harry Smith & Natalya Neidhart
Wilson and Carlito put on a fast paced match. Wilson showed why he’s the high flyer of his team as he stayed with Carlito, who was using springboards and the top ropes to his advantage. Wilson nailed a nice tornado DDT for a two count and Carlito hit a springboard back elbow also for a two count. The finish came when Wilson locked on an Ankle Lock but Carlito managed to get out of it by rolling forward and sending Wilson into the corner. Natalya got on the apron to distract the referee which allowed Smith to run and in attempt to hit Carlito. Primo got in quickly enough that he took down Smith and battled him to the outside. Meanwhile, the Bella Twins made their way down, to help out the Colons who they are friends with, and they took Natalya off the apron and fought with her. Carlito ducked a clothesline from Wilson and got behind him and hit the Back Cracker for the win.
Winner: Carlito
Commercial Break.
WWE Title Shot at Royal Rumble Mini-Tournament Edge vs. Triple H
Another very good match for Smackdown! here as Edge & Triple H went back and forth for the first 8 or so minutes. The show went to commercial midway through as both men connected with a double clothesline. We return from commercial to see that Edge has taken control and now has Triple H in a chin lock on the ground. Triple H manages to get to his feet behind the crowd’s rally and gets out of the move and sends Edge into the ropes, where he hits him with a knee to face. Edge gets up right into a spinebuster. Triple H taunts to the crowd and picks up Edge for the Pedigree but Edge gets out of it, sweeps out Triple H’s legs and rolls over him for a pin, but only gets a two count. They both get up fast but Triple H is first to strike and nails him with a kick, followed by a Pedigree.
Winner: Triple H
Edge rolls out of the ring hurt as Triple H celebrates. Suddenly he is attacked from behind. The attacker is Umaga. He picks up Triple H and drops him with the Samoan Spike. He drags Triple H to the corner and runs right at him with a full head of steam and looks as if he knocked The Game out. Edge looks towards the ring a little confused.
Commercial Break.
In the back, Edge is shown again with Vickie, when Umaga walks in. Edge looks a little scared of the big man but Vickie says it’s fine. She said last week that she would get back at Triple H for taking out the Big Show, and Umaga was her way of doing that.
Divas Tag Team Match The Bella Twins vs. Natalya Neidhart & Victoria
Despite now being a member of the New Hart Foundation, Natalya still seems to be friends Victoria. They worked great as a team here and Natalya really showed a disliking for the Bella Twins after what they did earlier tonight. She again dominated the match and the end of this came when Natalya locked Brie in the Sharpshooter. Nikki ran in to make the save, but took a Widow’s Peak for her troubles.
Winners: Natalya Neidhart & Victoria
Commercial Break.
A close-up of Jeff Hardy is seen on the Titantron. He cuts a promo saying that no matter who wins the Mini-Tournament, he plans on walking out of the Royal Rumble as the WWE Champion. No matter the cost.
We see Shelton Benjamin backstage preparing for the main event. Hurricane Helms walks up to him and says that he is getting closer and closer to another United States title match. The United States Title rematch he deserves and he wants it at the Royal Rumble. Benjamin says that’s fine with him, but he’s going to be busy at the Rumble…winning the WWE Title, and adding to his collection of gold. He then walks away.
Singles Match Vladimir Kozlov vs. The Great Khali w/Ranjin Singh
This wasn’t the best of matches as neither man is a great wrestler, but for being two big men, it wasn’t bad by any means. Kozlov seemed unprepared to go against someone who wasn’t really fazed by his power moves. Khali took a lot of what Kozlov had to offer and vice versa, but neither would stay down for a three count. Kozlov got frustrated and nailed Khali with a head butt to the chest. At this point, Matt Hardy ran out with a chair in hand and bashed Kozlov over his head.
Winner by DQ: Vladimir Kozlov
The crowd was going crazy as Hardy waited for Kozlov to get up and he nailed him one more time. Jim Ross says that Matt Hardy was so sick of being attacked by Kozlov that he had to retaliate. He posed in the ring as we fade to commercial.
Commercial Break.
WWE Title Shot at Royal Rumble Mini-Tournament United States Champion Shelton Benjamin vs. The Undertaker
This first time ever match turned out to be great. Benjamin showed that, when focused, he could hang with the best of them. He went back and forth with Taker for about 11 minutes. Taker hit him with Old School, a sidewalk slam and a big boot. Benjamin nailed him with a flying clothesline, a dragon whip kick, and a nicely executed neckbreaker. At the 11 minute mark, Benjamin seemed to have the upper hand as he knocked the Undertaker to the outside. He went outside to get him but Taker hit him in the ribs and picked him up and delivered Snake Eyes onto the guardrail. He rolled Shelton in the ring, but nailed the Guillotine Leg Drop on the apron, got in the ring and covered for the two count. He grabbed Benjamin for a chokeslam, but as he lifted him, Shelton got free and hit the Paydirt in mid-air on Taker. It took him a few seconds to cover Taker and when he did all he got was a close two count. The crowd erupted as they witnessed Undertaker kick out. Shelton waited for Taker to get up and went for a Superkick but Taker grabbed his foot, threw it down and hit him with a big boot. He did the throat cut signal that meant the Tombstone was coming, but suddenly the lights went out in the arena. They stayed out for a few seconds and when they came back on, The Undertaker was laid out in the middle of the ring and there was an urn placed in one of the corners of the ring. Shelton looked around confused, but then realized his opportunity, got to the Undertaker and covered him for the win.
Winner: Shelton Benjamin
Jim Ross & Tazz talk about how, despite having some unknown help, Shelton Benjamin has shocked the world and now goes onto to next week to face a man he has beaten on more than one occasion in the past, Triple H. Benjamin celebrates but still looks confused as does the crowd. The announcers also wonder aloud what's the deal with the urn. Maybe we'll get some answers next week.

I hope that 4-way match to kick off SD served a purpose. I like Jeff putting over all four of the possible opponents by saying what they were best at. Really surprised that HHH vs. Edge was not the main event. Kozlov vs. Khali sounds like it'd be interesting, and glad it ended in a no contest. WOW, really surprised that Benjamin beat Taker. I'm guessing Benjamin will somehow face Jeff at the Rumble. Because if not, I would have done HHH over Shelton and Edge over Taker this week. Good show, and I'm curious to see who will win HHH-Shelton next week.

Was the opening contest a number one contenders match for the U.S title? Looking at the people in the match, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a contenders match for the U.S title. Helms/Benjamin match (if it was a contenders match) would be a fantastic encounter. Nice to see The Stampede Bulldogs on SmackDown. I hope they do eventually debut in the WWE. To be honest, although Shelton winning is a change from the usual people who win on this board, I'm not a fan of it. Mainly because he's the U.S Champion, and I can't see him being a contender to the title without some sort of build. Still, it's something different, so kudos for that.

I like that Helms won the Fatal Four Way. If it was a #1 contender's match, just don't give him the US title quite yet. Makes since that Miz and Morrison won. I don't really like that Edge lost to Triple H though. Decent Diva's tag match. I hate that 'Taker lost, but atleast it gives Shelton more credibility.
