December 7th, 2009 Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Center in Birmingham, Alabama Attendance: 16,835
Raw kicked off with a video package showing MVP defeat Kaval in last week’s main event, followed by Triple H’s attempt at a post match attack only to have MVP thwart it.Jerry “The King” Lawler and Michael Cole welcome us to the final Raw before Armageddon. They hype up tonight’s face to face confrontation between Triple H and WWE Champion MVP inside of a steel cage, as well as our main event between Cody Rhodes and John Cena!Speaking of John Cena, his theme hits as he’s the guy who will open tonight’s event. He gets in the ring and grabs a microphone. Cena mentions Ted Dibiase Jr.’s promo last week, when Ted guaranteed victory over him at Armageddon. Cena respects the bold move by Ted, but tells him that he better bring his A+ game this Sunday because he’s not just going to roll over so Ted can blossom into a huge star. Cena likes that Ted is already thinking towards winning the Royal Rumble and main eventing WrestleMania XXVI, but he needs to realize that it will be Cena’s night. He reminds the audience that at WrestleMania XXV, it was Ted Dibiase Jr. who cost him the World Heavyweight Championship, so it’s only fitting that on his road to WrestleMania XXVI, Cena will take down Ted. Before he can continue though, Joe Henning and Cody Rhodes run in from the crowd and attack Cena. They are each nailing him but Cena makes the heroic comeback and knocks Rhodes out of the ring. He then lifts Henning for the FU, but Ted Dibiase runs down and hits him with a low blow. He picks him up and hits him with the Dream Street. Legacy stands tall over him as we cut to commercial. Commercial Break.
Tag Team Match Elijah Burke & Sean Morley vs. Evan Bourne & R-TruthWhat a great choice for an opener because these four put on a very solid match. They are all key cogs in the Intercontinental Title picture and a pin or submission in this match could vault them to a title shot. The teams went back and forth until the finish came when Burke nailed Bourne with the Elijah Express. Winners: Elijah Burke & Sean Morley (8:08) **¾The cameras cut to the General Manager’s office to see Eric Bischoff watching on a monitor. He seems happy to see Sean Morley gain a victory. A knock is heard and in steps the World Tag Team Champions, Perfectly Awesome. They complain about the Tag Team Tournament and how the deck has been stacked against them because they are not Raw superstars. Bischoff laughs it off and says that it doesn’t matter what brand a Champion is from, they will do as he says when they’re on Raw. He tells them to leave and keep an eye on tonight’s Tournament match.Commercial Break. We return to see Josh Matthews standing by with the WWE Champion, MVP. He asks him about the face to face with Triple H tonight and if he expects some surprises from him. MVP says of course he expects a sneaky surprise from Triple H. But that’s not going to stop him from meeting him face to face. Nothing will stop him from getting his hands on “The Game” and he looks forward to putting an end to this rivalry this Sunday.Women’s Match Beth Phoenix vs. Serena ManciniWomen’s Champion Mickie James was on commentary during this clash of the two most dominant females on the WWE roster. This was by far, Mancini’s toughest match to date as Beth was in control for a good portion of it. In the end though, it took two Mancini Codes, but Serena got the win. Winner: Serena Mancini (6:11) **After the match, Mancini went to the outside and slapped James across the face. James got up from the cheap shot rather quickly though and finally got the upper hand on Serena. She nailed her with a flurry of attacks and had to be restrained by officials.Commercial Break.Batista enters Eric Bischoff’s office when we return from commercial. Bischoff tells him that he called him here to let him know that he will be in action tonight, with Kane’s new protégé, Kaval. Batista likes the sound of this and Eric tells him that the match starts right now.Non-Title Match Batista vs. Intercontinental Champion Kaval w/ Paul BearerOnce again, Kaval showed that he can hang with the best, like he did last week against MVP. He was smart enough to use his speed to his advantage, but eventually Batista’s power game began to take over. He hit the Spinebuster and began to shake the ropes, getting the crowd excited. Before he could continue though, the lights went out. When they came on, Kane was behind Batista. He turned him around and drilled him with a Tombstone. Winner via Disqualification: Batista (9:58) **¾Kane stood over Batista’s fallen body and did his signature taunt, causing fire to shoot off from the turnbuckles.Commercial Break.Legacy is shown in their locker room, and Ted Dibiase Jr. is hyping up Cody Rhodes for tonight’s main event. He tells him that he’s beaten Cena before and adds in the attack from earlier tonight and it should be easy. Rhodes does seem confident by it.Tag Team Tournament Cryme Tyme vs. The Second City SaintsTwo former World Tag Team Champions going at it and with both being crowd favorites; the fans really seemed to enjoy it. It went back and forth and neither team seemed to have the upper hand but in the end, a G9 onto Steel ended the match. Winners: Cryme Tyme (7:14) **½The commentators announce that next week on Raw, Cryme Tyme will take on Legacy in a second round match. But, more important right now, our main event is next!Commercial Break.
Singles Match Cody Rhodes w/ Legacy vs. John CenaCena looked hurt as he came out, and Rhodes toyed with him. He targeted Cena’s back and it worked for a while, but he got a little too cocky. That allowed Cena to comeback. He hit a shoulder block, back suplex and the five knuckle shuffle for a near fall. He went for the FU, but Rhodes wriggled free, got behind him and set up for the Cross Rhodes. Cena though, backed him into the corner and when Rhodes came out, he hit him with a drop toe hold and the STFU followed. Cena stared right at Dibiase as he held the move until Rhodes tapped out. Winner: John Cena (12:17) ***Cena stared a hole through Legacy as they left up the ramp.Commercial Break.Triple H’s theme hit as “The Game” made his way down to the ring. The Steel Cage was already lowered onto the ring. He got inside and began to cut his promo. He touched on a number of subjects. He spoke about how he has always managed to be one step ahead of MVP by controlling the mind games. He says he not only has the physical advantage, but he has the mental advantage over him as well. He calls out MVP, who comes out and steps into the ring. Triple H tells him that he has no chance this Sunday because nobody beats him in Steel Cage matches. And nothing will stop him from realizing his destiny to become a 13 time heavyweight Champion. MVP didn’t say a word throughout any of this. Triple H notices this and calls him out on it. He says that MVP is staying quiet because he knows that Triple H is speaking the truth and that MVP has no chance this Sunday. He tells him to not even show up and forfeit the belt so he can save himself the embarrassment. MVP smirks at this and nails HHH with a right hand. The two began to trade shots and MVP gets the better of it. He launches HHH into the cage a few times and hits him with the Drive-By. He climbs to the top of the Cage and celebrates with the WWE Universe. © WWE 2009 [/center]

-Good back to back promos first from Ted then Cena. Hope Cena wins to get his revenge from WrestleMania XXV. But I think Ted put up a great fight. -That looked like a great match though. Burke and Morley was the right move. -Woah! I can't believe Mancini beat um, Phoenix. That definitely puts her as a serious threat. -Great match between Batista and Kaval. -Cryme Tyme had a good run as heels. I liked it. Cryme Tyme faces are good considering you got some new heel tag talents. I hope Kane and Kaval win the World Tag Titles soon. They're name some be the "Big Red Warriors" since Kaval's finisher is Warrior's Way. Haha. I like it. -Great win for "The Champ" hope the strap gets on him soon enough. None the less, good win still. -I really liked M.V.P remaining quiet in that confrontation. It makes me think he's building tension in his head or something. I think "The Game" will win though. Considering he hasn't done anything for real yet. -Great RAW as usual

- Good way to cap off RAW before Armageddon which is this Sunday in your diary, now the tension into the build-up is becoming even more intense, I mean John Cena & Ted DiBiase their promo to begin the show and Legacy running in for that attack on Cena only makes their match at Armageddon all that much more intense.
- Elijah Burke & Sean Morley I see either one of them becoming Intercontinental Champion soon, as they showed that they have what it takes, and that either one of them can beat Kaval for the title
- The Tag-Team Tournament for the Tag Titles is starting to get interesting, especially since Perfectly Awesome tried to talk down to Eric Bischoff but Bischoff sure showed them who was boss, and Cryme Tyme their match against Second City Saints was a good match, but I cannot see them getting past Legacy in the next round. Rhodes & Hennig will win it all, and beat Perfectly Awesome for the titles
- Serena Mancini just proved that she is the most dominant diva in the WWE right now, I mean she beat Beth Phoenix, come on, if that is not being dominant, I do not know what is, I mean she put Beth down like a dog with 2 Mancini Codes, then slaps Mickie James to make a statement. Serena is going to win at Armageddon and beat Mickie for the WWE Womens Championship.
- Batista beating Kaval, protege of Kane, was to be expected, but Kane after the match with the lights going out, that is how Kane should be, Kane should be just like his brother The Undertaker with making the lights and fire go off and out at his command, and doing disappearing acts like The Undertaker. Kane drilling Batista with that Tombstone, you gotta give the advantage to Kane going into Armageddon in that #1 Contender Inferno Match where the winner goes on to the Royal Rumble 2010 to face the WWE Champion, I say Kane burns Batista.
- That Steel Cage promo with HHH & MVP was amazing, especially when HHH thought that he had MVP to shut up during the promo, and MVP all of a sudden just going off on HHH with a right hand and sending him into the cage fence a few times then nailing HHH with the Drive-By Kick, and then climbing the cage to the top to celebrate with the fans. But I say that is still not enough for MVP to beat Triple H, I say HHH wins at Armageddon to become the new WWE Champion

Raw, good openeing segment with Legacy. I'm glad DiBiase stands tall in this one, but I see Cena going over at Armageddon. Pleased to see Elijah Burke and Sean Morley win this one, I hope to see Elijah Burke take the Intercontinental Championship soon. Surprised but glad to see Serena defeat Beth Phoenix here, gives her momentum running into Armageddon. Wasn't expecting a DQ ending here, but it makes sense when I look at it again, building the feud between the two, but I must admit I was expecting the destruction of Kaval. Very happy to see Cryme Tyme advance in the Tag Tournament, I see them going to the final match for the Titles, as I believe Legacy will have other things to think about. I am happy that you went with Cena winning this bout, definitely the right decision. Great segment to close the show, but for god sake, I have to be right this time, Triple H for the victory at Armageddon, haha. Great Raw, I can't wait for Armageddon.

WWE RAW: Monday 7th December 2009...RAW was pretty poor in the month of December, I definitely know you will do better, though. Good promo to kick things off, John Cena in the ring and talking about Ted Dibiase, it sets us off for Armageddon as these two hopefully will feud onwards after Armageddon, also. Cody Rhodes, Ted Dibiase and Joe Hennig soon beating Cena down also elevates for the main event tonight between Cena and Rhodes. Decent opening contest to start things off, Elijah Burke and Sean Morley beating Evan Bourne and R-Truth is fine; hopefully something happens with Burke and R-Truth, though. I really think that one of those two should have a reign with the WWE Intercontinental Championship by July 2010. Serena Mancini beating Beth Phoenix baffles me, as Phoenix is probably the toughest of the divas on RAW, but obviously you're just setting up for Sunday at Armageddon, as Mickie James defends the WWE Womens Championship. Batista beating Kaval was obviously, but definitely shouldn't have gone nearly ten minutes. It would have been very short; Kaval is small and Batista would dwarf him. Liked Kane and Kaval double-teaming Batista, though. Cryme Tyme beating the Second City Saints is fine, but face team vs face team matches never work well in modern wrestling. JTG and Shad winning was obvious as Scotty Goldman and Ace Steel barely appear on RAW anyways. Lastly, good main event with Cena winning obviously. I did like the final promo; very sweet and sets up perfectly for MVP and Triple H's WWE Championship steel cage match at Armageddon. Decent show overall.

ECW 12/8/09 Preview-In just five days at Armageddon, Mr. Kennedy gets his ECW Title rematch with new Champion Jack Swagger. Both Kennedy and "The All-American American" will be in attendance tonight, but neither is set for competition. So one has to assume that they will somehow find a way to get face to face with each other. Will it be Kennedy who initiates it? Or will Swagger be the one? -As announced last week, Matt Hardy and Rey Mysterio will finally get to go one on one tonight. This has been brewing for a while as the former friends have been bitter enemies since Hardy's change of attitude a few months back. Hardy says that Rey was one of the guys who came to ECW to take his spot and he doesn't appreciate that. He gets a chance at some revenge, tonight! -Also, Tommy Dreamer has been feuding with ECW's hottest new star, Zack Ryder. Ryder beat Dreamer in their first encounter, but at Survivor Series, Dreamer eliminated Ryder from their match. So with the score even at one, tonight we see the tiebreaker. Not just any tiebreaker though, as this match will be contested under Extreme Rules! Tune into the Sci-Fi Network for all of this and more at 9:00PM!

December 8th, 2009 Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Mississippi Attendance: 10,812
ECW opens with a video package that shows last week’s victory by Mr. Kennedy and Tommy Dreamer over Zack Ryder and ECW Champion Jack Swagger. It also showed the announcement of tonight’s main event.Todd Grisham and Byron Saxton introduce tonight’s broadcast and remind everybody that tonight’s main event, between Rey Mysterio and Matt Hardy, has been brewing for a while now. They also hype up tonight’s Extreme Rules match as well as Jack Swagger and Mr. Kennedy being in the building tonight.Surprisingly, The Hurricane’s theme hits as the Television Champion comes to the ring to open the show. He begins to talk in superhero-type dialogue. He says that he’s been told by citizens that he’s done a good job of getting rid of ECW’s villains but there are still some left. Guys like Matt Hardy, The Miz, Dolph Ziggler, Hade Vansen, Zack Ryder and even Jack Swagger. That brings out the ECW Champion himself. He gets right in Hurricane’s face and tells him that he has no right to say anything bad about him because he is a legend in ECW. Hurricane tells him that he is no legend, but he is, indeed, evil. Swagger laughs this off and calls Hurricane a joke before nailing him with the ECW Title. Swagger picks him up and delivers the Gutwrench Power Bomb onto him. He goes to lift him for another one but Mr. Kennedy rushes out to make the save. He trades fists with Swagger once he gets there until he gains the upper hand. He finishes it off by knocking Swagger to the outside with a clothesline. Kennedy celebrates with the amped up crowd as Swagger backs up the ramp. Commercial Break.
Singles Match Bryan Danielson vs. Jimmy Wang YangThe announcers kept talking about how Danielson would fare after suffering a loss last week. It barely fazed Danielson as he was in control during this match. It was Yang’s best effort in a long time as the two men went back and forth. In the end though, Yang tapped out to Danielson’s Cattle Mutilation. Winner: Bryan Danielson (7:12) **¾Theodore Long is shown in his office now when Perfectly Awesome enter. They complain to him about what Eric Bischoff said last night, saying that the Tournament and things like that will continue to happen as long as they appear on Raw. Long agrees with Bischoff and thinks all the competition will make them even better. Perfectly Awesome scoff at this and say it’s impossible to be better than they currently are.Commercial Break.Angela Fong is standing by with Bryan Danielson when we return from commercial. She asks him about how he likes life in ECW so far. Danielson says that being here is a dream come true and that he has loved the competition so far. He dislikes the underhanded tactics that The Miz had to resort to last week, but he knew that things like that would be bumps in his road to the top. And the top for him right now, is the ECW Championship.Extreme Rules Tommy Dreamer vs. Zack Ryder w/ CourtneyWeapons didn’t come into play much in this match as the big Extreme Rules stuff was being saved for Armageddon. This was still pretty good and featured a few stiff chair shots and the use of a trash can. But the finish came when a chair was placed in between the first and second turnbuckle by Dreamer. Before he could use it, Ryder nailed him with a low blow and slingshot him into that chair. He then connected with the Zack Attack for the biggest win of his career. Winner: Zack Ryder (9:12) **¾
Commercial Break. The show returned to see Zack Ryder burst into Teddy Long’s office. He says that the world just witnessed the start of the rise of Zack Ryder. He says that he has his eyes locked on a certain prize and that’s the Television Championship. Long tells him that with a few more wins he’ll grant him a Title shot. Ryder says that when the day comes, we’re looking at the next Champion. Woo Woo Woo, You Know It!Tag Team Tournament Chavo Guerrero & Eric Escobar vs. Goldust & Yoshi TatsuMuch like the other matches in this Tournament so far, this was good. It seems as if the Tag Team division has stepped their game up with a Title shot now up for grabs. This was a back and forth encounter and the heels worked over Tatsu for the most part. In the end though, Escobar was hit with the Curtain Call to end it. Winners: Goldust & Yoshi Tatsu (8:02) **½Rey Mysterio is now shown walking in the back as our main event is coming up next!Commercial Break.
Singles Match Matt Hardy vs. Rey MysterioLucky for the fans that this was chosen to main event because they put on a show. It was the best match we’ve seen on ECW in recent weeks. Hardy was in control at the start of the match by hitting a suplex, body slam and eventually a Side Effect for a near fall. Rey made the underdog comeback by using an array of high flying offense. Shortly after his comeback though, Hardy had him geared up for a Twist of Fate. Rey reversed it into a Northern lights suplex for a surprising three count. Winner: Rey Mysterio (11:56) ***½Rey celebrated his victory along with the crowd, who really enjoyed the match. The announcers hype up Armageddon one more time before the show cuts off.© WWE 2009

- Decent opening with Hurricane/Swagger leading to a Kennedy appearance. - Danielson over JWY is obviously the right call here. - Woo Woo Woo, You Know It! Nice to see Ryder win. - Goldust and Tatsu winning is fine, seeing as I don't care for Escobar & Chavo. - Happy to see Mysterio pick up the win against Hardy, love their matches.
Good edition of ECW, just lacked pumping up for the ECW Title match on Sunday more.

-I been looking forward to this ECW for a while. -Good opener. I like that Swagger beat up on Hurricane and then Kennedy making the save. -Good win for Danielson. Keep it up with the push. -Wow. Great match here between Zack Ryder and Tommy Dreamer. Glad Ryder won. I'd like to see Hawkins get a push. You know, Curt Hawkins. -Goldust and Tatsu winning is fine. This looks like a nice tournament. -Good to see Mysterio defeat Matt Hardy. Shocker to see him win with the Northern Lights Suplex. -Good ECW. Reply to WWE 2009 Slammy RAW?

ECW, great opening segment, shame The Hurricane had to get Powerbombed though. I hope to see Swagger retain at Armageddon. Obvious victory for Bryan Danielson, and the right decision. Shocked to see Zack Ryder win here, but glad if it mans he'll be shot into the limelight. However, I hope Dreamer isn't finished just yet. Very happy to see Goldust and Yoshi Tatsu pick up the victory, I think they're a great team. I was hoping for Matt Hardy to pick up the victory in this Main Event, but unfortunately not. I feel there was a serious lack of build for the ECW Championship match at Armageddon on this episode, the competitors only appeared for a short time in the opening segment. However, I'm sure the match will be good. Good show.

- Good way to end off the ECW show before Armageddon this Sunday, Swagger will retain the ECW Championship and go on to the Royal Rumble and defend it against most likely Mysterio since he really impressed me in that main event against Matt Hardy. The main event with Hardy & Mysterio I loved it, but there should have been more build-up towards Armageddon in this episode, just to be honest in my opinion, but overall good job.
- Hopefully Smackdown is just as better before Armageddon is posted

Smackdown 12/11/09 Preview-Last week on Smackdown, we witnessed a tag team preview of Armageddon's Fatal Four Way main event for the World Championship. On one side, the Champion, Jericho, teamed with "The Rated R Superstar" Edge. On the other, best friends Kofi Kingston and CM Punk teamed up. We saw a great match, and in the end, Kingston shocked the world by pinned Chris Jericho in the middle of the ring. Jericho didn't take too kindly to that so he challenged Kingston to a match tonight. Can Kingston make it two upsets in a row? Or will Jericho prove his point? -In another preview of the Armageddon World Heavyweight Title match, Edge will go one on one with "The Straight Edge Superstar" CM Punk. These two met at No Mercy and Cyber Sunday in match of the year candidates, so you can be sure this is going to be a great match. Which one of these guys will gain momentum heading into their huge World Title match this Sunday? -Jeff Hardy and Shelton Benjamin have battled numerous times throughout 2009, beginning at the Royal Rumble twelves months ago. It's been a pretty even battle, but it culminates this Sunday when they meet in singles action. Finlay and his nephew Sheamus have been battling lately as well, in the midst of a bitter family feud. These two rivalries clash tonight in tag team action when Finlay teams with Jeff Hardy to take on Shelton Benjamin and Sheamus! Tune into MyNetwork TV tonight at 8:00PM for all of this and a whole lot more!

Yet another great ECW. The opening segment was pretty good. Mr. Kennedy coming out and throwing Swagger out was nice, adds a little bit to the feud. Danielson/Yang match was pretty good. I could always see that much being really entertaining. Glad Danielson won. The extreme rules match was decent. I couldn't see Dreamer and Ryder putting on a good match, though, but it was ok. The finish was good, but I would've much rather seen Dreamer get the win, but it puts Ryder over. The Zack Ryder segment was pretty interesting. I don't know about putting the TV title on him, though. The tag tourny match was decent. Nothing much to say, other than I'm glad Goldust and Tatsu won. The main event was definitely the match of the night. Matt Hardy and Rey had some good matches before, so I could see this one being the same. The finish was awesome, and I'm glad Mysterio picked up the win. Overall, very good show, and I can't wait for Smackdown, sounds awesome.

Smackdown opens with a video package showing CM Punk and Kofi Kingston defeat Chris Jericho and Edge in tag team action last week after Kingston pinned Jericho. Before Jim Ross and Matt Striker can even introduce us to tonight’s broadcast, World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho’s theme hits as he comes down to the ring. He’s in suit and has the World Title draped over his shoulder. Once he gets in the ring, he starts to talk about his upcoming Title defense in two nights at Armageddon. He reminds us that it is in no way fair for him to defend against three opponents. He admits that he is very capable of doing so, but that doesn’t make it right. This brings him to last week, where he got pinned by the guy who’s most undeserving of a title shot, Kofi Kingston. He says that because of last week’s fluke win, he has challenge Kofi to a match tonight. He guarantees that Kofi won’t beat him again because he is the best in the world at what he does. He tells all of us that tonight will serve as a preview to this Sunday. Commercial Break.
Non-Title Match Big Show vs. United States Champion John MorrisonTyler Black was on commentary during this match, scouting Morrison before their encounter at Armageddon. Show was obviously in control during this, as he used his huge power advantage. He dominated Morrison at times and was set to hit the Chokeslam, but Morrison kicked him in the groin, causing the disqualification. Winner via Disqualification: Big Show (6:48) **½Morrison went to the outside after the match and grabbed the United States Title. Before leaving though, he turned and clocked Tyler Black with it.
Stephanie McMahon and Vickie Guerrero are in their office. Vickie surprisingly commends Stephanie on the decision to make the Best of Seven Series. Vickie also commends what John Morrison just did, although Stephanie goes against it. A knock is heard before they can continue to bicker and Michelle McCool enters. She demands a shot at the Divas Title. Vickie likes Michelle’s new attitude but Stephanie tells her that she must earn the title shot. She reminds her that she’s teaming with the Divas Champion tonight and getting the win for her team will be a good step towards a title shot.Commercial Break.
Divas Tag Team Match Gail Kim & Kelly Kelly vs. Divas Champion Maryse & Michelle McCoolThis was your basic Divas tag match. It was kept rather short and McCool got the majority of the in ring time as she was trying to prove a point. It was a decent attempt as she held her own but in the end, she fell victim to the Eat Defeat. Winners: Gail Kim & Kelly Kelly (5:16) **CM Punk is shown in his locker room warming up. His match with Edge is up next. Kofi Kingston enters the room and wishes him luck tonight, to which Punk returns the favor. Punk adds that he’s not going to wish Kofi good luck for this Sunday, because he plans on regaining the World Title. Kofi smiles and agrees that he’s not going to wish Punk luck either. Commercial Break.Josh Matthews is shown standing by with Trent Baretta, Caylen Croft and Curt Hawkins, The Dudebusters. He says that they requested this interview time, so he tells them to say what is on their mind. Croft speaks, saying that they are tired of hearing all the buzz about the New Hart Foundation and Paul London & Brian Kendrick. So next week, they are going to prove that they are the best tag team on Smackdown when they challenge London & Kendrick. They will prove who deserves to be number one contenders.Singles Match CM Punk vs. EdgeThese two were featured in World Title matches at back to back Pay-Per-Views a few months back and they put on great matches. They did it once again here, as this first hour main event was great. They went back and forth until the commercial break. When the show returned, Edge was in firm control. He managed to set up for the Spear, but Punk dodged out of the way. He hoisted Edge up for the GTS, but got raked in the eyes. That allowed him to hit the Edgecution for the victory. Winner: Edge (11:43) ***½
Commercial Break.
Tag Team Match Finlay & Jeff Hardy vs. Sheamus & Shelton BenjaminHornswoggle was absent from ringside for some reason. Anyway, this match was very good, especially when Hardy and Benjamin were in the ring. They have great chemistry, but when Finlay and Sheamus were in the ring, it was a pure fight. They brawled for the most part until the finish came. Finlay finally managed to gain the upper hand on his huge nephew by rolling him up for a victory Winners: Finlay & Jeff Hardy (9:39) ***After the match, Sheamus was furious and took it out on Finlay by nailing him with a huge Bicycle Kick. Meanwhile, on the outside, Shelton Benjamin had his briefcase and was gearing up to nail Jeff, but he ducked and hit Shelton with a Twist of Fate on the outside.Commercial Break.A very creepy promo is shown announcing that The Undertaker will be making his return next month at the Royal Rumble!
Edge enters Vickie & Stephanie’s office. Vickie congratulates him on winning earlier tonight and says that it truly is a sign of things to come. Stephanie even congratulates Edge on winning, saying that he picked up a clean win over Punk, which impressed her. Edge snaps at her saying he doesn’t care if she’s impressed. Stephanie tells him that he can beat Punk now, but couldn’t when Punk was Champion. She suggests that maybe Edge is a choke artist when it comes to the Title now. She walks out of the office leaving Edge looking furious.Singles Match Brian Kendrick w/ Paul London vs. WWE Tag Team Champion Harry Smith w/ TJ Wilson & Natalya NeidhartThe clash of styles in this match didn’t really affect it as it was still pretty good. Smith was in control throughout, and although Kendrick began to rally back, it was too little too late. Smith put him away with a Brainbuster. Winner: Harry Smith (6:14) **½Chris Jericho is shown walking towards the arena as the main event is next.Commercial Break.
Non-Title Match World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho vs. Kofi KingstonThese two great athletes stole the show tonight. They put on a very good match that went back and forth. Kofi was on the verge of shocking the world even more than he did last week. He hit a monkey flip and the Boom Drop but got near falls with each. The crowd went nuts when he connected with Trouble in Paradise only to have Jericho get his foot on the bottom rope. Kofi went for it again, but Jericho ducked it and hit the Codebreaker out of nowhere for the win. Winner: World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho (14:13) ***¾Jericho posed with his title and waited for Kofi to get up. He hit him with it once he stood, which brought out CM Punk. His run to the ring was wasted as once he entered; Jericho clocked him with the belt as well. He raised the belt high in the air as Smackdown closed.© WWE 2009

- Good way to end off Smackdown, the Smackdown before Armageddon, can we just get to Armageddon already, please, I really want to see how the matches turn out for Armageddon
- Jericho making a statement by beating Kingston and then clocking him with the World Title and clocking Punk as well, only solidifies Jericho as the top heel of this business, even better of a heel than Edge is, and for that, that is why Jericho will retain at Armageddon
- HHH will walk out of Armageddon the new WWE Champion as he will be all that much more to history at Armageddon by becoming a 13 time World Champion, 3 more reigns HHH will tie Flair, 1 more HHH will be the greatest champion ever, which will all happen in 2010, I guarantee it. It starts with beating MVP at Armageddon which will happen
- Tyler Black will win the 1st match in the best of 7 series for the United States Championship
- Serena will beat Mickie for the WWE Women's Title at Armageddon
- Batista will win the #1 Contender's Inferno Match where the winner will go on to the 2010 Royal Rumble to face the WWE Champion at the Rumble, it all starts with beating Kane and setting him on fire having Kane wear his mask all over again
- Legacy will win the WWE Tag Titles by winning that Tag Tournament and beating Perfectly Awesome for the belts
- Love that Taker will make his return at the 2010 Royal Rumble, Taker will be The One, as he will main-event WrestleMania 26 against the champion of his choice, Taker returns as either #29 or #30 surprise entrant
- Shelton has still not cashed in his MITB briefcase, will he ever cash that sucker in, like come on, he can't be that patient to wait until Mania to cash it in, Mania is in like 4 or 5 months, and you're telling me Benjamin has not cashed in his briefcase by now. I would have thought that back at Survivor Series he would have cashed in, but you need to have him cash it in at Armageddon, if not at the Rumble for sure

SmackDown, decent promo to kick off the show, I see Kingston pulling off an upset victory. I was expecting Big Show to destroy Morrison, tbh, but a DQ victory is good, I like the Tyler Black stuff too, I look forward to their eventual match. Nice to see the face divas go over, but nothing special. Glad to see Edge win here, but I am hoping for the CM Punk hel turn to come soon. Good tag team match, pairing two feuds together, and the faces going over gives them some momentum in the feud. I hope the heels come out on top overall. Pleased to see Smith gain a victory here, hopefully this sparks a feud. Surprised, but glad that Chris Jericho wins in this Main Event, and he controls CM Punk too, but there was a lack of Edge, imo. However, this was a good way to close the show.

- Decent promo to open the show, real short though. - Glad to see Morrison not get owned by Show and getting the DQ loss. - Fine to see the face divas over in this match. - Edge winning is sweet. Hope Punk turns soon. - Nice tag match for the feuds, am alright with either team winning for momentum. - Real glad to see Smith pick up the win; love TNHF, and their long ass reign is sweet. - Glad to see Jericho win this match, hope he keeps the gold. Lacked Edge at the end though.
Pretty good show overall. Looking forward to Armageddon.

RAW;Dec7: Great opening promo, creating an interesting build for the rest of the show. I really feel like Bourne is now jobbing and I hate it. Triple H to beat MVP at Armageddon, plz. Wow, Mancini beats Beth, I'd like to see Serena take the title at Armageddon. DQ finish was perfect for this one, doesn't hurt either man and a tombstone from Kane is sick. Forgot that Cryme Tyme were heels, nice to see them advance. Good win for Cena, it gets himself and DiBiase even after the opening assault. Loving that you finished with a promo to create tension for Armageddon. I loved that MVP didn't say a word, brilliant. Nice ending too with MVP coming out ontop, which furthers my confidence that Triple H will win at Armageddon. ECW;Dec12: Surprised to see The Hurricane open, not sure what to think about that but atleast his title is back. That was brilliant, The Hurricane is great and you just made Swagger look so heelish. Good win for Danielson, he's now back on track. Perfectly Awesome just wont stop complaining. YES! Ryder wins, great job on that decision. Great decision to have YoshiDust advance, I don't really like Escourrero. Glad you saved Hardy/Mysterio for the main event and the luckky victory is great. I just hope Hardy and Ry and can get back on PPV soon. SmackDown!;Dec11: Kofi's pecs look horrible in that graphic. Jericho vs. Kofi should end in DQ tonight. Typical heelish behaviour from Morrison. I hope Morrison wins the first match as a nice wake up call for black and for unpredicability. I guess no title shot for McCool then. Aww, he's not gonna wish him luck . Punk vs. Edge could've main evented but good win for Edge anyway. Decent tag match, Finlay and Jeff winning is fine but I'm glad Sheamus got his heat back. Wanted to see Smith win that one as Londrick have been one up on The Foundation latley. Surprised to see a finish without an interference. Nice aftermath for Jericho, he's looking really good going into Armageddon. Great set of shows, Kev. Can't wait for the PPV.

December 13th, 2009 AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas Attendance: 17,979
A video package opens the Pay-Per-View, with the song “No More Martyr” by Fozzy playing. It highlights the long Triple H/MVP feud along with showing the buildup for the Fatal Four Way World Heavyweight Title match. It also shows quicker builds for the Shelton Benjamin/Jeff Hardy and Batista/Kane matches.
A huge fireworks show goes off to signal the official start of the show, as the cameras take us to our three man announce team of Michael Cole, Jerry “The King” Lawler and Matt Striker. They hype up tonight’s card and promise us that we are in for a treat.John Cena vs. Ted Dibiase Jr. w/ Cody Rhodes & Joe HennigLegacy came to the ring first to a rather loud chorus of boos. Once John Cena’s music hit though, the AT&T Center erupted. Once the bell rang, it was obvious that this wasn’t going to be a squash match. They locked up and surprisingly, Dibiase shoved Cena down to the mat. He went to do it a second time, but Cena shoved him down this time. They locked up a third time and Cena sent him down again. That frustrated Dibiase, who charged at Cena but got hit with a back body drop. Dibiase quickly rolled to the outside for a breather. His breather lasted a little too long for Cena’s liking, so he went out after him. Dibiase ran into the ring and stomped on Cena when he followed in. He connected with three elbow drops in a row for a near fall. Dibiase then began to work over Cena’s neck with a neck crank and numerous neck breaker variations. After hitting a belly to belly suplex, Dibiase followed with a fist drop for another near fall. He picked Cena up and tossed him off the ropes, only for Cena to comeback at him with a shoulder block. That already had the crowd buzzing, but Cena followed that with a fisherman suplex and five knuckle shuffle. Cena then climbed to the top, but Cody Rhodes got on the apron. Cena kicked him down and the referee kicked him and Hennig out. They were furious at having to leave, but as they did, Cena hit his leg drop bulldog off the top. He covered but Dibiase managed to kick out at the last second. Cena then lifted him up for the FU, but Dibiase wriggled free, got behind him and locked on the Million Dollar Dream. Cena was fading rather quickly. The referee lifted his arm twice and it fell both times, but on the third, Cena managed to hold it up. That got the crowd going and Cena dropped down into a jawbreaker. Dibiase fell back and bounced off the ropes and as he came back, Cena caught him with the FU to pick up the victory. Winner: John Cena (14:09) ***¼John Cena celebrated his victory along with the WWE Universe, but the announcers put over how close Ted Dibiase Jr. was to the biggest win of his career. Cena waits for Ted to get up and extends his hand, looking for a handshake. Ted Dibiase stares at him, then the crowd, and then rolls out of the ring. Cena shrugs his shoulder and finishes celebrating.
Josh Matthews is standing by with the WWE Champion MVP. He asks him about his big match tonight. Before MVP can even answer, Shelton Benjamin interrupts. He tells MVP that he should watch his back tonight, because he may just be coming for his WWE Title, if he can somehow retain tonight. MVP mocks him, saying that he hears big talk from someone who has never won big. Shelton is upset at this comment and MVP walks away smiling.United States Championship Best of Seven Series [Match 1]: John Morrison (c) vs. Tyler BlackTyler Black came out first to a nice reaction from the audience. John Morrison’s unbelievably cool slow motion entrance was next as he mostly received boos. A collar and elbow tie up started this match, just like the last. Except here, instead of a battle of shoves, Black locked in a wrist lock. Morrison reversed it into a hammer lock that Black elbowed his way out of and into a headlock. Morrison tossed him off the ropes and Black dropped him with a shoulder block. He ran off the ropes and Morrison quickly got up, only to be met with a shoulder block again. Black covered for a near fall, got up and hit a standing moonsault for another near fall. Morrison quickly got out of dodge and out of the ring. Black didn’t allow him to catch his breath as he dove to the outside with a Fosbury Flop, which got the crowd right on their feet. Black was feeding off of their energy as he rolled Morrison back inside. He launched him into the corner and went to the opposite one. Black began to stomp the mat, with the crowd clapping along with him. He charged at Morrison, only to be hit with a big boot, followed by a roll up for a near fall. He then spring boarded off the second rope and delivered a kick to the back of Black’s head. Morrison waited for him to get up and connected with a big super kick for another near fall. He dragged Black to the corner and went up for the Starship Pain but Black moved. Morrison got up to his knees and Black went for his deadly super kick, but Morrison ducked and swept Black’s legs up. He climbed up for another Starship Pain but Black nailed him on his way up. He then carried him from that corner and was going to Buckle Bomb him into the opposite one, but Morrison slid free at the last second. When Black turned to him, he got kicked in the gut and drilled with the Moonlight Drive to end it. Winner: United States Champion John Morrison (12:19) ***¼John Morrison went to the outside, grabbed his title and celebrated winning match one of a possible seven. The announcers remind us how important that first victory is in a series like this.
The cameras now cut to the General Managers’ office, where Eric Bischoff, Stephanie McMahon, Vickie Guerrero and Theodore Long are all seated. As usual, Vickie and Stephanie seem to be clashing over something. It sounds like it has to do with tonight’s World Heavyweight Title match, which Vickie feels that Edge will win. Bischoff tells them both to shut up, as he is tired of hearing them argue at every single pay-per-view. He storms off upset, leaving Stephanie and Vickie shocked that somebody would actually yell at them.
Next, the cameras cut away to catch Angela Fong standing by with CM Punk. She asks him about being a challenger, instead of Champion again for the first time since The Bash. Punk says that no matter which side he’s on, he always prepares the same way to a match, so it’s no different for him. The only thing different is that as a challenger, there’s more to gain and less to lose and he says he’s going to do anything to get that World Title back around his waist.Women’s Championship: Mickie James (c) vs. Serena ManciniSerena Mancini made her way to the ring first, to a chorus of boos. Mickie James followed and as usual, gets the loudest pop among all Divas. Once the bell rang, Mancini was ready to assert her dominance as she charged right as James, who dodged it and Mancini hit the turnbuckle. James then hit her with a snap mare, and followed it up with a dropkick to the seated Mancini. James went to life her, but Mancini nailed her in the stomach a few times. She hit her with a few forearm shots to the face and sent her off the ropes. Mancini hit her with three beautiful deep arm drags and held onto the final one for a submission. James wouldn’t tap though, as she tried to fight her way through it and made it to her feet. Mancini was quick though, as she sent James off the ropes, but James came back with a big Thez Press. She unleashed a flurry of right hands, then picked up Mancini and sent her into the corner. James ran in and hit her with a clothesline. She then turned and was setting up for a second rope tornado DDT but Mancini reversed it into a bridging Northern lights suplex for a near fall. Mancini lifted James and nailed her with a well executed belly-to-belly suplex. Mancini taunted the crowd signaling for the end of this match. She lifted James for the Mancini Code, but James grabbed the top rope to stop it. Serena had to let her down and James went for the Mick Kick but Mancini ducked it. James quickly hit her with a Mick Kick using the other leg. She covered and got the victory. Winner and Still Women’s Champion: Mickie James (7:57) **½Mickie James is handed her Championship, which she celebrates with. Serena gets up as James is leaving up the ramp and she’s furious. Her overconfidence may have just cost her the Women’s Championship.
MVP is shown in his locker room staring at his WWE Championship. He then places it down, gets up and begins to stretch for his Steel Cage match later tonight. The camera shifts to Triple H’s locker room, where he is taping up his fists for the Steel Cage match.
A short video package is now shown, highlighting the history between ECW Champion Jack Swagger and former Champion Mr. Kennedy.ECW Championship: Jack Swagger (c) vs. Mr. KennedyThe challenger was out first as Mr. Kennedy got his usual nice ovation from the crowd. Jack Swagger comes down next, did his pushups and got some great heat. This was pretty much a carbon copy of their match at Survivor Series. It was about the same length as well. It began at a slower pace though; as Swagger came at Kennedy with some mat wrestling to start off, instead of the brawling style used last month. He used some basic, yet effective moves, such as a vertical suplex and a body slam. As Kennedy got up, Swagger ran at him with a running knee lift. He yelled at Kennedy to get “on his knees”, before slapping him across the face. Kennedy took major offense to that as he slapped him back. Swagger went to retaliate, but Kennedy ducked and caught him with a snap DDT for a near fall. He sent Swagger into the turnbuckle, where he ran and hit him with a big knee to the gut, dropping Swagger to a seated position in the corner. Kennedy then ran off the ropes and face washed the Champion. Kennedy got the crowd pumped up at this point and he delivered a back breaker for another near fall. Kennedy climbed to the top, presumably for the Kenton Bomb. He missed it at Survivor Series, which led to Swagger’s victory. He went for it here and again missed. Swagger quickly got up and set up for the Gutwrench Power Bomb, but Kennedy punched him a few times, causing him to release the hold. Kennedy landed in front of Swagger and drilled him quickly with the Mic Check. He was still hurt from missing the Kenton Bomb, so he laid there for a few seconds. He finally managed to get the cover but Swagger kicked out at two and a half. Kennedy got up first and hoisted Swagger onto his shoulders for the Green Bay Plunge. Swagger elbowed him in the head a few times, causing him to put him down. Swagger hooked him for the Gutwrench once again, but Kennedy grabbed Swagger’s leg and swept him up. He landed on top of him in a pinning position for another near fall. Swagger crawled to the corner and Kennedy went for another face wash, but Swagger moved and Kennedy hit the turnbuckle hard. As he came out, Swagger grabbed him and nailed him with the Gutwrench Power Bomb to end it. Winner and Still ECW Champion: Jack Swagger (14:29) ***½The crowd booed heavily as “The All-American American” Jack Swagger left up the ramp with the ECW Championship still intact. He was screaming “on your knees” and something about being a prodigy as he left.
Paul Bearer in shown in a dark room with Kane & Intercontinental Champion Kaval. Bearer tells Kane that tonight, he will finally put an end to Batista and go on to win back the WWE Championship, which would still be his if it wasn’t for Batista at Night of Champions all those months ago.Shelton Benjamin vs. Jeff HardyShelton Benjamin made his way to the ring first, to some fantastic heat; he’s really hit a stride as a top heel on Smackdown since beating The Undertaker at No Mercy. Jeff Hardy, sporting a new haircut, got the loudest ovation of the night, by a fair margin. These two put on a classic at the Royal Rumble and this was no different. It was obvious from the start that tonight was about proving who was better. Benjamin would hit Hardy with an arm drag, and Hardy would return the favor. This went on for a while, spanning multiple moves. It ended however, when after Hardy dropkicked Benjamin, he attempted to retaliate but Hardy dodged it and sent him flying to the outside. Once Benjamin stood up, Hardy met him with a plancha. Benjamin crawled away from him, but Hardy ran the guardrail and hit Benjamin with a clothesline. Hardy was in firm control as he rolled Benjamin back into the ring. He hit him with a sitout jawbreaker, which sent Benjamin back into a seated position in the corner. Jeff nailed the Hardyac Arrest for a near fall. Jeff went to whip Shelton into the corner again, but it was reversed, only for Jeff to come back with the Whisper in the Winds for another near fall. Jeff picked up him up again, but Shelton quickly delivered a cobra clutch back breaker. Both men were down for a few, but Benjamin was up first. He sent Jeff off the ropes and caught him with a Samoan drop. Then he launched him into the corner, where he charged at him and connected with the Shelton Splash. Jeff stumbled out of the corner, and Shelton nailed him with the Shell Bomb. He covered, but Jeff somehow managed to kick out. Shelton waited for him to get up and stayed behind him, where he went for a German suplex, but Jeff landed on his feet. Sheltn turned around; Jeff kicked him in the stomach and hooked him for the Twist of Fate. Shelton ran forward while hooked though, and ended up pushing Jeff into the referee, who got sandwiched between Jeff and the turnbuckle. Jeff kept hold of the move though and nailed it. He went to cover Shelton but the referee was down and out. Jeff noticed and attempted to wake up the official. From the crowd comes the masked man who has attacked Jeff multiple times since Cyber Sunday. He gets in behind Hardy, turns him around and connects with a huge RKO. The masked man gets right up and reveals himself to be none other than Randy Orton! Orton slithers out of the ring, and Shelton begins to get up, as does the referee. Surprisingly, Hardy stirs as well. Shelton stalks him as he gets up, and once he does, he connects with Paydirt for the win. Winner: Shelton Benjamin (20:01) ****¼The sold out crowd here in San Antonio is stunned at the return of Randy Orton, who leaves up the ramp as Shelton is celebrating in the ring. Shelton grabs his Money in the Bank briefcase and holds it high over his head.
A video package surrounding the very long feud between Batista and Kane is shown. We see Batista pin Kane at Night of Champions, Kane’s return at SummerSlam which cost Batista a match against Triple H, Batista taking Kane’s mask, and end with their recent matches.Number One Contender Extreme Rules: Batista vs. Kane w/ Paul BearerKane was the first man out and he got a lot of boos. Batista followed suit to a large amount of cheers, second biggest of the night so far. As one would expect, this was a brutal end to a bitter feud. Right out of the gate, Kane fired away at Batista with numerous throat thrusts. He sent Batista off the ropes and connected with a big boot. He went to follow it with a leg drop, but Batista moved out of the way. Once Kane got up, Batista sent him outside with a huge clothesline. He followed him to the outside and they brawled for a few minutes. Kane choked Batista with some of the cables at ringside and then went for a steel chair. He turned back to Batista with the chair, but Batista ran at him and Speared him through the guardrail. The crowd loved the big spot and cheered even louder when Batista got up first. These two brutes battled their way through the crowd for nearly eight minutes. They made it out of the crowd and onto the entranceway. Kane had the upper hand at this point and he suplexed Batista onto the steel of the ramp. Kane dragged him to the ring, but sent him into the steel steps first. Kane brought a steel chair, the steel steps and a table into the ring. It was clear that he had bad intentions for this. Kane set up the table in a corner and turned to Batista, but was met with a shoulder block. Batista grabbed the steel chair and clocked Kane with it. The “Big Red Machine” wouldn’t go down though. Batista nailed him a second time and he dropped to one knee. Batista now reared back far and went to hit him a third time, but Kane caught him by the throat. Batista managed to break free and hit him with a thunderous chair shot. Batista pointed at the steel steps, which got the crowd roaring. He lifted Kane, who was now gushing blood from the skull, and was set to deliver a spinebuster onto the steps. Kane managed to rake him in the eyes and prevent it. He then grabbed him by the throat and slammed him through the table in the corner. Kane dragged Batista out of the corner and covered for a near fall. He was furious at this so he set up Batista for a Tombstone onto the steel steps, but once he was on Kane’s shoulder, he wriggled free and got behind him. Batista turned Kane around and nailed a Batista Bomb right onto the steel steps. He covered and got the three count. Winner: Batista (16:06) ***“The Animal” celebrated victory as he has won the long, hard fought war between himself and Kane. Not only that, but he must watch out next bout closely as he will face the winner at the Royal Rumble!
Speaking of Royal Rumble, an advertisement for it is shown with the song “Hero” by Skillet playing.
Now, a video package showing the bitter rivalry between WWE Champion MVP and Triple H is shown. Their feud culminates in a Steel Cage match, next!WWE Championship Steel Cage Match: MVP (c) vs. Triple HThe challenger, Triple H made his way to the ring first, to a chorus of boos, possibly the most heat of the night. MVP came out to a great, loud pop from the audience. Once MVP gets in the ring, the cage door is closed and locked. HHH attacks as soon as that happens, which gives him a clear advantage. HHH pummels MVP with big right hands in the corner, which he follows up with some shoulder thrusts. MVP fought his way out of the corner and hit HHH with some right hands of his own. HHH quickly got back the upper hand though after chop blocking MVP. HHH immediately pounced on that and worked over MVP’s leg. He placed it on the bottom rope and stepped on it numerous times. He placed MVP’s leg on the steel cage itself and used his foot to push it into the cage. The pressure had MVP screaming. HHH then locked on an Indian death lock but MVP reached the ropes. HHH broke it, dragged MVP to the middle of the ring and locked in a figure four. MVP struggled mightily, but managed to reach the ropes again. The damage was clearly done, and HHH began to climb the cage. Halfway up though, MVP reached him and clubbed him in the back a few times causing HHH to fall crotch first onto the top rope. HHH then fell from there to the ground, where MVP already was. MVP got up first and when HHH charged at him, he caught him with a snap overhead belly-to-belly suplex. He attempted to follow it with the “Ballin” elbow drop, but his leg gave out halfway. That allowed HHH to hit the knee smash and begin to leave through the door. MVP crawled and somehow managed to reach HHH. He grabbed his leg and hit a dragon screw, keeping HHH in the cage. MVP was up and he sent HHH into the corner, following in with the Player’s Boot. MVP waited for him to get up and nailed the Drive-By. He was still rather hurt so he stayed on the mat for a short while. MVP began the heroic climb up the cage, but his injured leg made this tougher than it should’ve been. HHH went up and met him near the top. The two men slugged it out, while standing on the top rope. HHH grabbed him and delivered a huge spinebuster from their position all the way down to the mat. Both men were down for a decent amount of time and HHH was first to stir. He began to climb up the cage. He made it near the top, when MVP began to chase him down. MVP met him when HHH was sitting on top of the cage. They traded shots until a big right hand from MVP sent HHH over to the other side of the cage. He held on though, not trying to crash and burn. Once HHH was settled, he let go, but MVP caught his hand, preventing him from exiting. MVP tried to bring HHH back up and he nearly had him, but HHH raked him in the eyes, causing MVP to let go and allowing HHH to hit the ground. Winner and NEW WWE Champion: Triple H (19:11) ***¾Once MVP’s eyes were clear, he looked down at HHH being handed the WWE Title. HHH realized this and raised it high, taunting MVP. He left up the ramp as the crowd booed loudly.
A video package for tonight’s World Title main event is shown, showcasing the four superstars in the match.World Heavyweight Championship: Chris Jericho (c) vs. CM Punk vs. Kofi Kingston vs. EdgeKofi Kingston was first to make his way to the ring, sporting new red & black trunks and a new theme song, to a very good ovation. “The Rated R Superstar” Edge, followed suit to his normal mixed reaction. CM Punk was next, wearing red, black & white trunks, and got his usual awesome ovation. The Champion himself, Chris Jericho, came down last, to huge heat, rivaling Triple H’s. Once the bell rang, the matches from last Friday’s Smackdown were relived as Edge and CM Punk battled, while Kofi and Jericho went at it. Both Kofi and Punk managed to knock their opponents to the outside. It looked as if they were going to go at it, but instead, they delivered simultaneous suicide dives to their other opponents. They both got back inside and started to wrestle, with neither really showing a clear advantage. A monkey flip from Kofi and a double underhook backbreaker from Punk highlighted their in ring action. It was cut off when Jericho entered, got behind Punk and nailed him with a German suplex. Edge entered shortly after and the two heels started to beat on Kofi. Jericho hit him with a dropkick and spinning heel kick, while Edge utilized the higher impact electric chair drop and the Edge-O-Matic. He began to stalk Kofi for the Spear. He went for it, but just like at Survivor Series, Kofi leapt straight over Edge causing him to hit the turnbuckle. Jericho charged at Kofi next, but was met with Trouble in Paradise. He covered the Champion, but just before the three, Punk was there to break it up. Punk sent Kofi off the ropes, but he came back with a flying forearm. He followed that with the Boom Drop. Before he could attempt a cover, Edge drilled him with a Spear. He covered Kofi, but Jericho managed to break it up. Edge got up and Jericho went for the Codebreaker, but Edge held onto the top rope, sending Jericho down on his own. Edge locked in the Edgecator submission and Jericho looked close to tapping out. Punk met Edge with some stiff kicks and slaps that broke up the hold. He then tossed him into the corner, ran in and hit his knee strike/bulldog combination. Kofi was up now and he went for Trouble in Paradise on Punk, but he ducked. Punk then hoisted Kofi up and drilled him with the GTS! He covered and got the win to regain his Championship. Winner and NEW World Heavyweight Champion: CM Punk (21:11) ****¼The crowd roared as CM Punk was handed the World Heavyweight Title that Chris Jericho robbed him of at Survivor Series. Before he could celebrate though, Jericho was up and delivered the Codebreaker to Punk. He was being a huge sore loser and the crowd booed loudly. Suddenly, “Ain’t No Stopping Me” is heard as Shelton Benjamin ran down to the ring with his briefcase in hand. Jericho walked up to him, but Benjamin leveled him with the briefcase. He handed it to the referee, who gave it to the time keeper. Justin Roberts announced that Benjamin was cashing in and the bell rang. Punk was starting to stir and Benjamin waited for him to get up. Once he did, he turned to Shelton, who hit him with a devastating Paydirt. He covered and got the shocking three count! Winner and NEW World Heavyweight Champion: Shelton Benjamin (0:48) N/AThe crowd was stunned as Shelton Benjamin finally cashed in Money in the Bank. He waited for the most opportune moment and is now World Champion for the first time in his career. Shelton celebrated with the belt around the ring as the show faded to black.© WWE 2009
