February 22nd, 2010 Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana Attendance: 17,345
Highlights of last night’s No Way Out Pay-Per-View are featured in the opening video package. It shows how even with Christian replacing MVP in the Elimination Chamber, Edge still managed to walk out as a seven time Champion.Tonight, we get no opening pyrotechnics or even a nice welcome from the announce team. Instead, we are welcomed by the theme of the new WWE Champion, Edge. He comes out in street clothes, is sporting a huge grin and enters the ring. He gets a microphone and begins to talk about what last night meant. He says that towards the end of 2009, he claimed that it was his least successful year in a long time. Despite winning the Royal Rumble, he fell short on six World Heavyweight Title shots. He felt defeated, but then Christian returned at the Royal Rumble and signed on with the Raw brand. Seeing that, Edge moved over to the Raw brand himself and immediately qualified for the Elimination Chamber. Last night, he officially got back on track, because he is now WWE Champion once again. Edge then personally guarantees us that this will be the best reign of his career. He is cut off by his brother, Christian. Christian comes out, bandage on his forehead, and stays at the top of the ramp. He congratulates Edge on becoming WWE Champion once again. He says that even though he dislikes him, he respects his ability to win. Edge says Christian must not have gotten the “winning” gene from their parents. Christian smirks at this, but says that he came out here because he has news for the WWE Universe and Edge as well. He announces that earlier today, he had a meeting with the Raw General Manager, John “Bradshaw” Layfield. That meeting ended with a handshake agreement that at WrestleMania XXVI, Edge will be defending his newly won WWE Title one on one against Christian! The crowd goes insane, as Edge is irate in the ring. Christian tells him that the official contract signing will take place next week, but he’ll see his brother in tonight’s tag team main event! Christian smiles and leaves, as Edge is throwing a fit in the ring. Commercial Break. Edge barges into JBL’s office demanding to know why he’ll be facing Christian at WrestleMania. JBL won’t answer him until Edge goes back out, knocks, and re-enters. Edge is frustrated at this, but does it anyway. When he re-enters, JBL informs him that he signed Edge vs. Christian for WrestleMania because it’s good business for Raw. All JBL cares about is making money and helping Raw succeed as a brand and ever since he managed to sign both Edge and Christian to the same brand the fans have been begging for this match. He can think of no better place for it to occur than at WrestleMania. Edge says Vickie would’ve never let this happen and storms off.
Our announce team now gives the WWE Universe a proper introduction to the show. They hype up tonight’s main event which features our new WWE Champion Edge teaming with Ted Dibiase Jr. to take on Batista and Christian. We are also told that the first qualifiers for the Tag Team Turmoil and Money in the Bank matches at WrestleMania will take place tonight.Women’s Match Katie Lea Burchill w/ Layla London vs. Tiffany Tiffany announced that she signed with Raw a few weeks back on ECW and tonight we got to witness her in-ring debut. For a girl who hasn’t really entered a WWE ring before, she looked pretty good. Her time in FCW did her well, and having an experienced opponent like Katie Lea helped. About five minutes in, Tiffany picked up her first win with a beautiful Northern Lights Suplex. Winner: Tiffany [5:12] ** Women’s Champion Serena Mancini, who came down the ramp during the match, jumped in the ring when the bell rang. She leveled Tiffany with a huge clothesline and then dropped her with the Mancini Code. Mickie James rushed down and Serena escaped the ring before she could do any damage.Commercial Break.
Tag Team Turmoil Qualifying Match Legacy vs. Tyler Reks & Johnny Curtis A few weeks back, Reks and Curtis shocked the world when they got an upset win over the former World Tag Team Champions. Tonight, Rhodes and Hennig were going to do all they could to make sure that didn’t happen again. Despite a solid effort from Reks and Curtis, they fell short after Reks was hit with the Cross Rhodes. Winners: Legacy [7:11] **½ The British Alliance is shown watching on a monitor, as they must be scouting for the Tag Team Turmoil match at WrestleMania.
We cut to John “Bradshaw” Layfield’s office again, when Elijah Burke enters. Burke tells JBL that he wants an Intercontinental Title shot tonight. JBL tells him that he got his shot last night. Burke wants a one on one shot. Last night, Evan Bourne was pinned and tonight Drew McIntyre has a Money in the Bank qualifying match, leaving him and Kaval. JBL ponders the idea for a while and decides to go with it. Before Burke leaves, JBL informs him that the match is up next!Commercial Break.
Intercontinental Championship Kaval [c] vs. Elijah Burke It’s a shame these two never met one on one before, because it turned out to be a very good contest. Burke seems to be thriving in his new role as a face. He made the comeback during this match after Kaval held serve early on. He went for the Outer Limits Elbow, but Kaval moved. When Burke got up, Kaval nailed him with a huge rolling kick. Kaval then hit a superplex for a near fall. He went for the Warrior’s Way, but Burke moved. Kaval rolled towards the opposite corner and stood up, but Burke came flying at him and hit him with the Elijah Express to become the new Champion. Winner and NEW Intercontinental Champion: Elijah Burke [12:19] ***¼ The crowd cheered loudly as Elijah Burke was handed the Intercontinental Championship. As he celebrated, the cameras cut to the back where John Cena was shown walking towards the arena.Commercial Break. John Cena makes his way down to the ring, and he’s as serious as ever. He gets in and grabs a microphone. The first thing he says is The Undertaker’s name. Cena says that he watches and saw when ‘Taker realized that he wasn’t getting a WrestleMania Title shot because he eliminated him in the Royal Rumble. Cena says that if ‘Taker had a problem with it, he should’ve manned up and told him to his face. Instead, he decided to distract him and ultimately cost him the WWE Championship. Cena says that with both the World Heavyweight and WWE Titles currently occupied at WrestleMania, both he and Undertaker are out of luck. So Cena’s not going to use any mind games or anything like that. He’s coming straight out with it. He challenges The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXVI and the crowd goes nuts. Cena says that he’s won World Titles before, but for what Undertaker did last night, he’s going to end the streak. He gives the Undertaker until next Monday to give him an answer. Commercial Break. Josh Matthews is standing by with Ted Dibiase Jr. He asks him about his feeling towards Christian getting the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania XXVI. Ted says that JBL’s decision is a travesty and he deserves to have the shot at WrestleMania. He realizes though that there’s only one thing to do now. Next week on Raw, he will be going one on one with Evan Bourne in a Money in the Bank qualifying match. He promises to win the briefcase and go on to become WWE Champion.Money in the Bank Qualifying Match Drew McIntyre vs. R-Truth It was pretty obvious who was going to win this, as even though McIntyre is relatively new to the WWE, R-Truth just hasn’t been too important as of late. Truth did a fair amount of damage in this contest, but a timely rake of the eyes set Drew up for the win. He became the first person to qualify after hitting the Scot Drop. Winner: Drew McIntyre [7:57] **¾ Ashley Valance is now standing by with Elijah Burke, and she congratulates him on his victory. She then asks him how it feels. Burke says that it feels great to be a Champion again. He goes to continue, but Evan Bourne comes up to him. He also congratulates him, but adds that he’ll be coming for a shot very soon. Elijah smiles and says he respects that. They shake hands and go their separate ways.Commercial Break.
Tag Team Match Batista & Christian vs. WWE Champion Edge & Ted Dibiase Jr. In a very good move, this was given a lot of time. We didn’t get to see much interaction between Edge and Christian though, as WWE seems to want to save it for WrestleMania. It was weird to see the heels beating down on the larger Batista throughout the match though. They targeted his leg and he was forced to try and tag in Christian. After some failed attempts, he managed to do it and Christian rushed in. Edge was careful not to get in the ring and Christian took all of his anger out on Ted. Edge tripped up Christian when he went to run off the ropes though. Batista managed to get around the ring and nail Edge. Ted hooked Christian for the Dream Street, but he elbowed out of it and nailed the Unprettier for the win. Winners: Batista & Christian [14:51] ***¼ Batista got in the ring to celebrate along with “Captain Charisma.” Edge grabbed the WWE Title and retreated up the ramp. Christian pointed at him, then the WrestleMania XXVI logo and then motioned that the belt would soon be his.© WWE 2010

-Good promo. Fantastic announcement and great choice for WM26. Christian vs. Edge is awesome. -Tiffany over Burchill is a good debut for her. -Figured that Legacy would win. Reks and Curtis are sort of dead weight now. But I see them in mid-card. -Burke winning the IC Title is awesome. He should have some good feuds. -Cena challenging Taker at WM26 is epic. I already know he won't break the streak. It's just natural. After WM, I hope big things for Cena. -McIntyre over Truth is good. Truth has talent though. He could be used at IC Title status. -Batista and Christian winning is awesome for his momentum. Batista/DiBiase looks like a decent WM26 Match. -Good RAW; WM26 is shaping up to be great.

WWE RAW: Monday 22nd February 2010...Great opening promo to the show with the new WWE Champion, Edge, and as predicted originally, we are seeing Edge and Christian collide for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania XXVI. Hopefully we do not see this bout main event though; that'd be a bit lacklustre for a main event to me. Christian is not ready for main eventing 'Mania so soon after returning to the company two months before this. Tiffany overcoming Katie Lea Burchill was likely as it creates Tiffany's persona. Might not be good at this time however, with the company always ending up scramming in divas feuds for 'Mania. Serena Mancini's attack was definitely likely. Can't expect Mickie to face Mancini at WrestleMania though. Hopefully it ends prior to that. It seemed so obvious that Tyler Reks and Johnny Curtis would not appear anyway, as those two never appear on RAW unless they have to put another team over. Legacy with the win is fine; could see them being the first WWE Unified Tag Team Champions. Though I'd prefer it if Cody Rhodes and Joe Hennig both get good solo runs instead. A solid first hour main event win for Elijah Burke, very unexpected too and I'm not sure why this happened as both men I thought were heels, but good to see Elijah finally win the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Kaval had a nice run, hopefully he is able to remain relevent. John Cena's promo was good, basically propelling his situation with The Undertaker and thus, looking for WrestleMania's bout between these two to main event. Good to see Drew McIntyre in the Money in the Bank ladder match, can;'t see him winning though as it is too soon. R-Truth is no longer relevent, in my mind. Lastly, good main event with Batista and Christian beating Ted Dibiase and Edge. Very good show, wonder where Triple H was though. And MVP. Come to think about it...a lot of the main eventers at No Way Out aren't here tonight...weird.

Tonight’s show opens with a video package showing Jack Swagger retaining the ECW Championship against Tommy Dreamer two nights ago at No Way Out.We open to a shot of Jack Swagger smiling. He talks into the camera and says that we will witness history tonight. It’s not about the start of the tournament to determine his WrestleMania opponent, tonight is historic because Tommy Dreamer will have to humble himself and tell the whole world that he is the “heart and soul” of ECW. Swagger claims that it is sure to destroy Tommy Dreamer and he’s going to enjoy every minute of it.Todd Grisham and Byron Saxton welcome us to tonight’s broadcast and they hype up the fact that tonight we will see the entire first round of the Extreme Road to WrestleMania Tournament. The winner of this tournament will advance to face Jack Swagger for the ECW Title at WrestleMania XXVI. We’re kicking things off with the first tournament match.First Round Match Dolph Ziggler w/ The Miz & Alicia Fox vs. Primo This was a surprisingly good match, as both men really put on a good showing. Primo and Carlito are still trying to best each other and show who the better brother is and Primo showed his talent here. After some fast paced action, Ziggler picked up the rare clean win with the Zig Zag. Winner: Dolph Ziggler [8:06] ***¼ The Miz got in the ring as his partner was celebrating and the announcers stated that The Miz would be competing in the next qualifying match.
Ashley Valance is shown backstage interviewing Bryan Danielson. She asks him about his match with The Miz up next. Danielson says that he’s happy to have drawn The Miz in the first round because of their unfinished business. He’s also happy because if he gets past Miz tonight, he’ll be facing Ziggler in the next round. And he’ll be more than happy to get his hands on both members of Perfectly Awesome.Commercial Break.
First Round Match Bryan Danielson vs. The Miz w/ Dolph Ziggler & Alicia Fox Danielson once again put on a good match, especially with the ever improving Miz. It was a notch below the previous match, but was still very good. Fox and Ziggler attempted to interfere once each, but Danielson managed to knock them both off of the apron. He eventually forced The Miz to tap out to the Cattle Mutilation. Winner: Bryan Danielson [8:10] *** We cut to see the Television Champion, Zack Ryder standing with his girlfriend, Courtney. Ryder cuts a short promo on Jimmy Wang Yang, saying that he got lucky two weeks ago when he beat him. He still doesn't think that Yang deserves a TV Title shot, so he should earn it next week. Ryder will handpick an opponent for Yang and if he wins, he'll get a Title shot the following week.
Theodore Long is now shown in his office, smiling as he watched the previous match. Tommy Dreamer entered the office, looking upset. Long says he feels for Tommy and knows that this must be a very tough time for him. He asks Tommy if he’s figured out how he’s going to handle tonight’s situation. Tommy, while looking sad, tells Teddy that he’s pretty sure he has it all planned out. Long wishes him good luck and Tommy leaves.Commercial Break. Josh Matthews is standing by with Mr. Kennedy. He asks him about his match tonight against Carlito, a man who defeated him a few weeks back. Kennedy admits that he lost to Carlito, but he guarantees that it won’t happen again. He says that he’ll be ready to prevent any fluke loss this time around and he’ll move one step closer to tell everybody that their new ECW Champion is once again Misterrrrr Kennnneedddyyy…Kennnedddyyy!First Round Match Matt Hardy vs. Rey Mysterio For too many years to count, these two have wrestled a lot. For the most part, they are all good contests and tonight we saw more of the same. Matt was methodical in his approach and he used that to take the advantage. Of course, Rey made the electric comeback and got the crowd pumped. He turned that comeback into victory when he pinned Matt after the 619. Winner: Rey Mysterio [10:28] ***¼ A short promo is shown, reminding us that The Rock will be the first inductee of the 2010 Hall of Fame class, and he will be inducted by perhaps his all-time rival, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin!Commercial Break.
First Round Match Carlito vs. Mr. Kennedy Ever since Carlito defeated Kennedy with a small package three weeks ago, Kennedy has wanted revenge. This match was made last week by Teddy Long, but became a Tournament match earlier today. They went back and forth and had a better match than their previous one. Carlito again wrapped Kennedy up in a small package, but he kicked out this time. Eventually, Kennedy gained victory by hitting the Mic Check. Winner: Mr. Kennedy [10:06] ***
Commercial Break. ECW Champion Jack Swagger comes down to the ring now, as ECW is set to end shortly. He gets straight to the point and calls Tommy Dreamer out to declare him the true “heart and soul” of ECW. Tommy comes out and gets in the ring. He gets a microphone and says that for as long as he can remember, he’s been the guy that embodied ECW and would get the crowd to chant it, but two nights ago Jack Swagger defeated him fair and square in the middle of the ring with the ECW Title on the line. Tommy says that he thought it would hurt him to say Swagger was the “heart and soul” of ECW, but it doesn’t hurt him. He’s always wanted ECW to continue growing and he feels that a young talent like Swagger is a good building block. Although he hates Swagger’s attitude, he can’t deny his ability. So he says it to the entire world, “Jack Swagger is the heart and soul of ECW.” Swagger is upset that this doesn’t hurt Tommy. Tommy goes to leave but Swagger stops him and demands that he be furious. Tommy says that he proved that he can back up all his smack talk and he has no problem saying someone else is the top dog on ECW now. Swagger is furious and goes to nail Dreamer with the ECW Title, but Tommy ducks it and drills him with the DDT. The crowd cheers loudly as Tommy does his signature pose. Swagger slowly rolls out of the ring as ECW closes. © WWE 2010

-Ziggler over Primo was expected. Hoping that Ziggler goes far to prove he's no joke. -Danielson over Miz is decent. Miz's push could be a tad more intense though. -Mysterio over Hardy is good as Mysterio has done alot lately and needs some momentum. -Kennedy over Carlito is solid. Glad you let Kennedy win on the big time. -Dreamer declaring Swagger as Heart and Soul is big for his career. I love that Dreamer got the better in post-match. -Good show.

ECW on SyFy: Tuesday 23rd February 2010...Alright but slightly weak openign contest with Dolph Ziggler beating Primo to win the first in this contenders tournament leading into WrestleMania XXVI; which in my mind, the ECW brand deserves a proper rivalry leading into 'Mania, as opposed to the method AJ Mathews used in having a tournament to determine who gets the ECW Championship shot. Weak main event, predictable that Ziggler would win but I can't see him winning, but I do wish. The Miz failing to qualify is terrible though; I see Bryan Danielson winning this tournament instantly; he's definitely going to beat Ziggler next week, unfortunately. Another reason why I dislike this tournament is because the tournament is around eight guys, whilst other talents [no Zack Ryder or anybody else] are neglected because they don't mean as much. Now, bizarre placing for Rey Mysterio and Matt Hardy, as these two should have definitely opened or main evented; one of the two. The two middle matches not opening or main eventing ECW are both the least important matches to the audience in the entire week; fact. Rey Mysterio winning is alright but wish that Matt Hardy had won - nevermind, a face is definitely winning this tournament. And there's another reason to dislike the concept, as much as I'd like to enjoy it; a face is going to win because a heel is the ECW Champion; if only we could get a surprise with a heel winning and turning face. Mr Kennedy and Carlito had a good main event, but I wish that Mysterio and Hardy had main evented, really. Kennedy winning makes for a slight interesting turn of events as Mysterio and Kennedy will be good; hoping that Kennedy wins. Carlito will probably continue the feud with him though and the two will be in Money in the Bank. Lastly, pointless put down promo from Jack Swagger as the ECW Champion attacked Tommy Dreamer. An okay show, but the booking was slightly off tonight.

Clips of Randy Orton’s huge World Heavyweight Title win at No Way Out are shown, followed by Jeff Hardy defeating CM Punk. It ended by showing Jeff Hardy’s announcement that he’ll challenge Randy Orton for the World Title at WrestleMania XXVI!Jim Ross and Matt Striker welcome the WWE Universe to the fallout from the Smackdown side of No Way Out. They rundown the important happenings from No Way Out and then discuss John Cena’s challenge of The Undertaker for WrestleMania. Before they can continue, they are interrupted. “Voices” is heard as the new World Heavyweight Champion walks down the ramp, with the belt draped over his shoulder. He gets in the ring and receives a microphone. He begins the promo by saying that he told everyone that he would once again wear the World Title. He dominated 2009 as Champion and was poised to regain it during the Scramble Match at Unforgiven. On that fateful night though, Jeff Hardy injured him and cost him that match. When Randy returned he vowed revenge on Jeff and he feels like he’s done well in that aspect. He did have a hiccup when Jeff eliminated him last in the 2010 Royal Rumble, but he redeemed himself this past Sunday. He hoped and prayed that Jeff would not only beat Punk, but that he would use his main event spot to face him for the belt. Orton says that unlike a lot of other Champions in this position, he’s not scared or nervous; he’s more than looking forward to this Title defense. He’s dying to punt Jeff’s skull off of his body on the biggest stage. Jeff Hardy’s theme plays as he comes out to the stage. He tells Randy that he is eagerly anticipating their WrestleMania match as well, because ever since Randy came back he’s made Jeff’s life a living hell. He thought that tossing him out at the Rumble was enough, but beating him at WrestleMania and becoming the new World Heavyweight Champion is actually the right punishment he’s looking for. Orton promises to not only retain, but to end Jeff’s career. Jeff starts to walk towards the ring and tells him to try it right now. Stephanie McMahon cuts them off as the Co-General Manager walks out onto the stage. She tells Jeff to stop because she can’t have them injuring each other before WrestleMania. She tells Randy that he has other things to worry about tonight, like a non-title match with a very pissed off Undertaker. Orton is furious at the announcement as Jeff has a smirk on his face. Tonight is shaping up to be a huge night! Commercial Break. Backstage, Divas Champion Maryse is shown looking into a mirror. She is admiring herself when Michelle McCool comes up behind her. McCool says that even though they’re on the same team tonight, Maryse is still in possession of something that she wants. She taps the Divas Title. Maryse gives a little laugh and says something in French before walking away. McCool stops her and tells her that no matter what language you put it in, she’ll be the next Divas Champion. Maryse didn’t look too happy about that.Tag Team Turmoil Qualifying Match The Dudebusters w/ Curt Hawkins vs. Kofi Kingston & John Morrison The crowd loved the team of Kingston and Morrison and they proved to be an exciting team. Despite not teaming often, they used frequent tags and even busted out a few double team moves. The Dudebusters are no slouches though, as they used their own trademark double team maneuvers to take control. In the end, Morrison hit a springboard kick on Baretta and went up top for the Starship Pain. Croft distracted the referee as Hawkins pulled Baretta out of the way of Starship Pain. Kingston chased Hawkins up the ramp, as Baretta tagged Croft in. They executed the Dudebuster to win. Winners: The Dudebusters [9:14] ***¼ Kofi Kingston nearly made it back in the ring to save his partner, but Hawkins did his job well as he forced Kofi away from the ring. The Dudebusters celebrated up the ramp as we cut away.Commercial Break. An advertisement is shown for the first 2010 Hall of Fame inductee, which will be The Rock! He will be inducted by 2009 Hall of Fame member, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.
The General Managers are shown in their office when Chris Masters enters. He wants another non-title match with Tyler Black because he knows he can beat him if he just locks in the Masterlock. Stephanie says that he had his chance last week and failed, while Vickie wants to give him the chance. Stephanie says the only reason Vickie wants to do so is because it was her who personally re-signed Masters last year. Stephanie eventually gives in but says that this is Chris’ last chance.Money in the Bank Qualifying Match Charlie Haas vs. Sheamus Most expected this to be a straight up squash, but Haas got in his fair share of offense. He used his technical expertise to be a thorn in Sheamus’ side. That didn’t last that long though as the “Celtic Warrior” dominated shortly after that. He finished off Haas with the Bicycle Kick. Winner: Sheamus [5:26] **¼ After the match, Sheamus grabbed a microphone and said that his loss at the Elimination Chamber this past Sunday was nothing more than a fluke. He claims that everybody has a night where things don’t go your way, and his was at No Way Out. But come WrestleMania, the “Celtic Warrior” will destroy nine other Superstars, climb the ladder, win Money in the Bank and go on to become World Heavyweight Champion!Commercial Break. Shelton Benjamin comes down to the ring and he seems to be back to the cocky Benjamin we all remember, despite his freak out last night over losing the World Championship. He gets in the ring and says that this past Sunday he went through the hardest thing in his career. Losing the World Title seemed like it was going to destroy him. He was a wreck after the match and for the next few days. But then he remembered back to what happened shortly after he lost the belt. He shows us the video of his brutal attack on former WWE Champion MVP. The camera goes back to Shelton, who has a huge grin on his face. He says that thinking back to that over the past few days has once again made him a happy man, and has him excited about moving forward. In fact, next week he has a Money in the Bank Qualifying match. He plans on history repeating itself in 2010. Singles Match Shelton Benjamin vs. TJ Wilson w/ Harry Smith & Natalya Neidhart Interestingly, back when the New Hart Foundation were heels, they teamed with Benjamin a few times. Regardless, this was a great match, a sleeper pick if you will. Wilson showed that he has big time talent as he went toe to toe with one of the top guys in the WWE. They used their technical abilities to put on a clinic on the mat early on. Later on, they both used some high flying to excite the crowd. Wilson went for the springboard elbow drop, but Benjamin moved. Later, he hit Wilson with the block buster. In the end, Paydirt was enough to put down Wilson. Winner: Shelton Benjamin [10:25] ***½
Commercial Break. CM Punk joins us as we return from the break, followed by a large bald man wearing a CM Punk shirt. They get in the ring and Punk gets on the microphone. He begins the promo by admitting defeat at No Way Out. He still claims that he is better than Jeff Hardy, but everybody gets lucky in life, even pathetic drug addicts. Punk says that his chances of winning the World Heavyweight Title, which is still rightfully his, at WrestleMania are over. But, he realized over the week that his message of Straight Edge can still be heard and felt at WrestleMania without the World Title. He’s decided to issue a challenge to somebody that no one is expecting to see at WrestleMania. He’s going to go see this person at his house and challenge him to a match, face to face. This is someone who will learn a thing or two from the way of Straight Edge. But that’s going to happen next week. Tonight, Punk has an introduction to make. At No Way Out, he said that the followers of his Straight Edge lifestyle are growing heavily and tonight we will meet the first member of his new Straight Edge Society. He introduces the large bald man as Drew Gallows. Gallows take the microphone and says that for the past few years, he has tried to make it to the WWE, but has been coming up short. When he heard Punk preaching a Straight Edge lifestyle and he saw how successful Punk is, he knew what had to be done. He contacted Punk, who taught him the ways of Straight Edge and now, look where Drew is. He’s standing in the middle of a WWE ring, all thanks to Punk. Punk made him realize that doing drugs was the reason that he couldn’t make it to the WWE, but that’s a thing of the past. Punk takes back the microphone and says that Gallows is the first of many that he will turn. Next week, his road to WrestleMania officially starts and he’ll be bringing a WWE cameraman with him to document his challenge. Tonight, Drew Gallows proved it, and at WrestleMania, Punk will once again prove that Straight Edge means we are better than you. Commercial Break.
Non-Title Match Chris Masters vs. United States Champion Tyler Black Unlike last week’s bout, Black was in control in the early stages tonight. He was too fast for Masters and used his high flying ability to frustrate Masters. Masters went outside and took a breather, which actually helped him. After a well timed poke to the eyes, the challenger was in the driver’s seat. He latched on the Masterlock, but Black was fighting and nearing the ropes. Masters then lifted him into a full nelson slam and gained victory. Winner: Chris Masters [7:21] **½ Josh Matthews is standing by with Chris Jericho. He says that Jericho requested this interview time. Jericho says that he had to request it, because Vickie and Stephanie are too worried about disliking each other to realize that they left the “best in the world at what he does” off of tonight’s show. That is complete disrespect to an athlete of Jericho’s caliber and he guarantees that he will make an impact next week.Commercial Break. Kofi Kingston and John Morrison are shown in a locker room, and Morrison is icing his neck. A knock is heard and Stephanie McMahon enters. She agrees that tonight they suffered a tough loss, but she feels that had it not been for some timely interference, they might’ve won. Also, their performances in the Elimination Chamber were excellent. As rewards, both of them will have Money in the Bank qualifying matches over the next two weeks. Kingston’s will be next week against the former World Heavyweight Champion, Shelton Benjamin!Divas Tag Team Match Gail Kim & Kelly Kelly w/ April Lee vs. Divas Champion Maryse & Michelle McCool With the recent release of Jamie Noble and Charlie Haas coming to the ring alone tonight, it seems as if Kelly Kelly will now be moving into an active in-ring role on Smackdown. She was clearly rusty tonight though as she botched a few moves. One botch caused McCool to land awkwardly on her wrist, and she seemed legitimately hurt. She managed to tag in Maryse, but Kim got the tag at the same time. They battled shortly and Kim pinned her after hitting the Eat Defeat. Winners: Gail Kim & Kelly Kelly [5:34] *¾ Ashley Valance is standing by with Jeff Hardy. She asks Jeff if he will be watching tonight’s main event between The Undertaker and his WrestleMania XXVI opponent, Randy Orton. Jeff says that not only will he be watching, but he’ll have a front row seat as he will be on commentary. He says that he’d usually hope to see ‘Taker destroy Orton, but he doesn’t want that to happen tonight. He needs to be the one who finishes Orton at ‘Mania.Commercial Break.
Non-Title Match World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton vs. The Undertaker These two met for the World Title back at Judgment Day last year in a great match and tonight was very good as well. They went back and forth throughout, and Orton was very methodical. He really worked over Undertaker’s leg. Of course, ‘Taker came back and was near victory after hitting the Old School. He did the throat cut signal and was gearing up for the Tombstone, when John Cena’s theme hit. ‘Taker looked up the ramp, but Cena never showed up. The music stopped and ‘Taker turned around right into an RKO to end it. Winner: World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton [11:13] *** Orton went to the outside to get his belt and delivered a cheap shot with it to Jeff Hardy. Orton stared down at Jeff, who was now knocked out by the announce table. He slowly raised the World Title over his head, and seems to be back in the same trance he was in during his previous World Title run.© WWE 2010

-Nice to see this back. I hope it stays forever. LOL. -Good promo. Very realistic. Orton/Undertaker sounds good. -The Dudebusters going over is decent. Hpoe this means Kofi and Morrison get into MITB. -Sheamus winning is obvious since Haas hasn't been seen lately. -Solid promo by Punk. Should be interesting to see who that challenged person is. Gallows coming into SES was smart. -Masters over Black is decent. But I hope this doesn't mean Masters is going to become US Champion as Black's reign is just starting. -Kelly and Kim over Maryse and McCool is shocking as in real llife, the losing team is better. But this isn't real life and the winning team follows closely. -Very smart for John Cena's theme hit. Orton over is nice since he's champion.

WWE SmackDown: Friday 26th February 2010...Randy Orton in the ring to start off SmackDown following No Way Out was wise, as the new World Heavyweight Champion needed time to promote himself before the feud with Jeff Hardy was announced as reaching a bullet point at WrestleMania XXVI. Very predictably laid out, which is something that needs to be done in more original ways in diaries, if you ask me. Making big storylines unpredictable is a great step forward. The Undertaker and Orton is a massive main event, ratings would be high for this. I can see John Cena inserting himself. The Dudebusters advancing was no surprise; Kofi Kingston and John Morrison are more needed in Money in the Bank, anyway. Easy win for Sheamus against Charlie Haas, went a little long even if Haas were to put up a fight in my mind. Didn't you release Haas anyway? Shelton Benjamin's promo was good, simply promoting the feud with MVP. Shelton had a great win against TJ Wilson though, competitive battle. Solid promo next with the revealing of Drew Gallows; reminds me even more of Drew McIntyre's real name now though. Straight Edge Society beginning now is just not for me, to be honest. Could have waited until after a great feud into WrestleMania. Chris Masters beating Tyler Black is a good opportunity for Masters but I doubt the WWE United States Championship is going to Masters. Gail Kim and Kelly Kelly beating Maryse and Michelle McCool is fine, but Kelly alone? Charlie Haas competed earlier on tonight. Orton beating 'Taker is fine, predicted Cena's distraction would give Orton victory. A decent show as a whole, not that different from what we usually see.

-Great opening promo with Orton and Hardy. Orton/Taker main event looks to be great. -The Dudebusters over Morrison and Kingston is nice, due to the distraction. -Easy way for Sheamus to advance as he faced Haas. -Great CM Punk promo with the introduction of Gallows. -Masters over Black is decent. I doubt he'll win the US title so easily though -Kim and Kelly winning is shocking, but great. -Orton winning due to Cena distracting Taker is legit. Wonder what happens between Cena/Taker. Overall, great Smackdown.

March 1st, 2010 Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Attendance: 13,675
We open tonight’s Raw with a video package, focusing on the announcement last week that Edge will be defending his WWE Championship against his brother Christian at WrestleMania XXVI.The opening pyrotechnics shoot off, signaling the official start of our show. Jerry “The King” Lawler and Michael Cole introduce everyone to the broadcast and hype up tonight’s huge contract signing for the WWE Title match at WrestleMania XXVI. Besides the contract process, Edge will also be facing Batista in non-title action. Plus, we will see Money in the Bank and Tag Team Turmoil qualifying matches as well as hear The Undertaker’s response to John Cena’s challenge!Speaking of John Cena, he comes out to a loud ovation from the crowd, to kick us off. He gets in the ring and is handed a microphone. He says that he’s waited seven days already; he doesn’t want to wait any longer. He calls out The Undertaker, demanding an answer tonight. Seconds go by and it seems as if ‘Taker isn’t coming out, but a gong is heard and The Undertaker slowly comes to the ring. He gets right in Cena’s face and doesn’t look happy. Before giving an answer, he mentions that Cena said he wasn’t going to use any mind games, yet last week he had his theme play during Undertaker’s match with Randy Orton. Cena says that he realized fighting fire with fire is the best way to get to The Undertaker. He’ll continue to do it as well, until he becomes the first man to beat The Undertaker at WrestleMania. The Undertaker is staring a hole through Cena as he raises the microphone back to his face. He says “I accept” and the mega match is now official for WrestleMania. Cena offers Undertaker his hand for a handshake, but Undertaker turns his back and exits the ring. The announcers say that the mind games have now officially begun. Cena watches as Undertaker leaves up the ramp, before the show cuts to a commercial. Commercial Break. We return to the General Manager’s office, where we see John “Bradshaw” Layfield looking over some documents. Drew McIntyre barges in and begins to make demands. He says that qualifying for Money in the Bank last week should also allow him a shot at the Intercontinental Title. JBL scolds him for barging in, and tells him that he doesn’t have the right to make demands. JBL says that he is very busy and has a huge announcement to make regarding WrestleMania, but tonight Drew can face Elijah Burke in a non-title match. If he wins, he can have a title shot next week.Non-Title Match WWE Tag Team Champions Brian Kendrick & Paul London vs. World Tag Team Champions The British Alliance w/ Layla London & Katie Lea Burchill If this is the kind of action we’re in store for when the Tag Team Turmoil match rolls around, it should be great. Both teams used their strengths and it led to a very good match. For a while, the British Alliance cut the ring in half and worked over Kendrick. He made the hot tag to London, who came in flying all over the ring. He nailed Burchill with a drop kick, and back flipped with it into a moonsault onto Regal for a near fall. The end came when Kendrick went for Sliced Bread on Regal, but Burchill drilled him with a steel chair shot. Winners via Disqualification: WWE Tag Team Champions Brian Kendrick & Paul London [8:36] *** The British Alliance assault London and Kendrick now, hitting each man with their signature finishers. They raised both sets of Tag Team Titles high in the air as Layla and Katie Lea cheered them on.
Ashley Valance is now standing by with John Cena. She asks Cena how he feels regarding The Undertaker not shaking his hand. Cena says that he’s fine with it, because he got what he wanted. Since No Way Out, all he can think about is The Undertaker and now he has him. He has always thrived when the odds are against him and there is no greater odd against him than to face a man at WrestleMania who is 17-0 there. But everybody doubting him gives him more fuel for his fire.Commercial Break.
Money in the Bank Qualifying Match Evan Bourne vs. Ted Dibiase Jr. Back in 2009, these two had a series of matches over the Intercontinental Title, so their chemistry worked well together. Ted was in control early on, but Bourne used a hurricanrana, followed by a suicide dive to take over. He put Ted back in and the ring and delivered the diving double knee drop for a near fall. He went for Airbourne, but Ted moved out of the way. When Bourne got up, he was met with Dream Street to end it. Winner: Ted Dibiase Jr. [9:01] *** The announcers now begin to talk about the 2010 Hall of Fame, when The Rock will be inducted at the head of the class. It is now time to announce the second inductee. It is none other than former Women’s Champion, Lita! She will be inducted by the lady who helped her change women’s wrestling forever, Trish Stratus!Commercial Break. We return to see Josh Matthews standing by with the WWE Champion, Edge. He asks Edge about his non-title match with Batista tonight. Edge says that it is totally unfair for him to face Batista tonight, when Christian gets the night off. He should be focused on the contract signing and nothing more tonight. He then says that doesn’t mean he is scared of Batista. He isn’t by a long shot because he’s beaten him before and he’ll do it again.Non-Title Match Drew McIntyre vs. Intercontinental Champion Elijah Burke This wasn’t as good as last week’s match between Burke and Kaval but it was still good. Burke seems to really be getting over with these fans, as his charismatic style is a lot of fun. He nailed a guillotine while Drew was draped over the second rope and high fived some fans after. He really go the fans involved, while Drew did all he could to take them out of it. Drew was poised to hit the Scot Drop, but Burke backed him into the corner. He took a step back, then ran and hit the Elijah Express for the win. Winner: Intercontinental Champion Elijah Burke [11:09] ***
Commercial Break. John “Bradshaw” Layfield is in the ring when we return from commercial. He says that earlier tonight he said he had an announcement to make regarding WrestleMania XXVI. Two years ago, at WrestleMania XXIV, Raw took on Smackdown in a Brand Warfare match. Smackdown’s Batista defeated Raw’s Umaga and to be honest, Raw needs to fix that. So, he has talked with the other General Managers and they’ve all agreed. Brand Warfare will be returning for WrestleMania XXVI, but with an added twist. It will be Raw vs. Smackdown vs. ECW! JBL says that he has chosen the man to represent Raw in this match and it will be none other than Batista! He admits that he hasn’t always seen eye-to-eye with “The Animal”, but he is the only man to win one of these matches and that alone will help lead Raw to victory. JBL exits the ring to a mixed reaction. Batista is shown watching on a monitor, when Ashley Valance comes up to him. She asks him what his thoughts are concerning JBL’s announcement. He agrees that he doesn’t get along with JBL, but feels honored to represent Raw in this match. But right now, he’s focused on Edge and tonight’s match.Commercial Break.
Tag Team Turmoil Qualifying Match Cryme Tyme vs. The New Hart Foundation w/ Natalya Neidhart Tonight was the first time these two former Tag Team Champions met and it led to a pretty decent match. The chemistry wasn’t fully there, but they still did their best. After some solid back and forth action, the Hart Foundation picked up the win with the springboard Hart Attack. Winners: The New Hart Foundation [7:11] **½ Serena Mancini is shown getting ready for her upcoming tag team match, when a knock is heard on her dressing room door. Surprisingly, the Divas Champion Maryse enters. She tells Serena that she’s not here to start a fight or anything. On the contrary, she has a business proposition for the two of them. Serena agrees to listen, but she kicks out the cameraman first.Commercial Break. Ted Dibiase Jr. is in his locker room, resting up after his big win earlier tonight. Joe Hennig and Cody Rhodes enter and they congratulate him on his win earlier. Ted congratulates them on qualifying for the Tag Team Turmoil match next week. Rhodes says they came in because they wanted to let Ted know that last week they showed they don’t need him, and tonight he showed he doesn’t need them. Ted agrees and says it was a pleasure to have teamed with them in the past. He shakes hands with them and they part ways.Women’s Tag Team Match Beth Phoenix & Women’s Champion Serena Mancini vs. Mickie James & Tiffany As with most women’s matches, this wasn’t given much time. The heels really worked over Tiffany, but she did manage to tag in James, who cleaned house. After her flurry following the tag, she hit the Mick Kick on Beth. Before she could make the cover, Maryse came down the ramp, distracting her. That allowed Serena to come from behind and hit the Mancini Code. She then knocked Tiffany off the apron and Beth covered James to win. Winners: Beth Phoenix & Women’s Champion Serena Mancini [5:39] *¾ After the match, Serena met with Maryse on their way up the ramp and the two shook hands. One has to wonder what Maryse’s business proposal to Serena was.Commercial Break.
Non-Title Match Batista vs. WWE Champion Edge A pretty good main event here, as Batista seems to have some of his best matches with Edge. Edge worked over Batista’s legs throughout, which helped him as he set up to lock in the Edgecator, but Batista fought him off. He then took over, nailing a spine buster, which got the crowd excited. He signaled for the Batista Bomb, but when he lifted Edge for it, his leg gave out. Edge then connected with the Spear to become victorious. Winner: WWE Champion Edge [9:16] **¾
Commercial Break. Edge is obviously in the ring, along with a table and John “Bradshaw” Layfield when we return from commercial. JBL introduces Edge’s opponent for WrestleMania XXVI, Christian! He comes out to an enormous pop and he gets in the ring. JBL goes over the contract and tells Christian to sign it first, since he is the challenger. He does so, and slides the contract to his brother. Edge signs, staring a hole through Christian the entire time. Edge takes a microphone and says that he knew this day would come. He knew that Christian would return and try to beat him because it must grow old being in your big brother’s shadow. He says that he always carried Christian and even when they were a tag team it was Edge’s name that came first. Edge says he won out when they battled over the Intercontinental Title and that no matter what Christian tries, he’ll always be second fiddle. Christian smirks at this and takes his own microphone. He tells Edge that he has indeed been waiting for the day where he returned and targeted his older brother. But it’s not because he thinks he’s in his shadow. It’s simply because he truly dislikes Edge. He has watched as Edge we poised to be a future World Champion and was going to do it the right way. But then, he turned his back on his own friend and stole his girlfriend. He then used that to propel his own career and to collect Titles in the most underhanded ways. Christian admits that he hasn’t always been the fairest or nicest guy out there, but a line has to be drawn somewhere. He tells Edge that needs to stop picking the easy way out. Edge reaches across the table and slaps Christian. Christian flips the table over and begins to brawl with Edge. They spill to the arena floor, where security rushes down to break them up. Things are truly heating up heading into WrestleMania. © WWE 2010

-Great opening promo for WrestleMania. Cena/Taker at WrestleMania should be epic despite the fact it's going to hurt Cena's WM W/L streak. -Londrick over British Alliance via DQ is good as it sort of keeps Alliance strong. -Ted DiBiase over Evan Bourne is a good call. My call to win it. Wonder what's Bourne's future now. -Burke over McIntyre is a nice call too since he's IC Champion now. -Love the idea of a brand warfare at WrestleMania. Batista needed to be somewhere on the card and I reckon that's a nice place to be. -Foundation over Cryme Tyme was realistic. -Edge over Batista is a good call either way as both needed some momentum though. -Good contract signing and the brawl was awesome. You are 100% right. Things are heading up. -Great RAW to hype WrestleMania. Can't wait for WM.

The brawl at the end was a great touch. Their match at Mania should be legit. Overall, great RAW leading into WM.

- Good opening with Cena and Undertaker. Glad that the "mega match" as you said is now official. - The DQ finish was fine for the tag match. Give some build up for the Turmoil. - Happy to see DiBiase qualify. Wonder if he'll actually win MITB. - Burke winning is good since he just won the IC title. - Batista representing Raw is good. Gives him something to do without being in the main event. - I prefer New Hart Foundation over Cryme Tyme, so I'm happy to see them qualify for the turmoil. - Solid call for Phoenix/Serena to win. Interesting to see Maryse get involved. - Edge winning is bet since he is the champion. - Very interesting contract signing with Edge and Christian. The brawl was a nice way to end the show. - Good Raw. Lot of hype for WM which is definitely great.

RAW: Glad the New WWE Champion is opening the show. Christian interuptting isn't a surprise. Tag Team Main Event sounds great. I knew JBL would've made the mat ch for Money purposes. Tiffany over Katie is cool. I like that Serena immediatley took out any chances of a title match for Tiffany and that James chased her off. Legacy over Curtis and Reks was the right way to go. Elijah Burke vs. Kaval sounds great. Oh My Wow, Burke is new champion? I love it. John Cena vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania sounds about right. Bourne vs. DiBiase for a Money in the Bank spot? Ugh, I hate that because one of them wont get in. McIntyre over Truth is good. Good Main Event, glad Christian got the win to make the challenger looks strong. Good RAW.
ECW: Extreme Road to WrestleMania Tournament sounds exciting. Ziggler qualifying is good, It'd be cool if he won. Danielson vs. Miz sounds great. Glad Bryan picke dup the victory and advanced, looking for another face and another heel to make it through. Ryder picking an opponent for Yang sounds good, wonder who it'll be. Rey Mysterio over Matt Hardy may have been the right way to go. I'm expecting to see Matt in MITB. Kennedy over Carlito is a bit of a surprise, we now have 3 faces and a heel in the Semis. Surprised to see Dreamer admit everything he did but Swagger getting drilled with a DDT is a good decision, Another good show.
SmackDown!: Great opening promo between Hardy and Orton, there's alot of passion in this fued, I love it. Randy being forced to face Undertaker is great. Glad the Dudebusters won as John Morrison/Kofi are too good of a team for that match. I hope Tyler Black retaining. Sheamus qualifying for Money in the Bank is good. Glad Shelton regained confidence with that win, Still waiting for Benjamin vs. MVP. I liked the Straight Edge promo from Punk, bringing in Gallows was good. Masters winning the Non-Title bout keeps him strong and gives him another shot which Black should win. Wonder what Jericho will be up to at WrestleMania. yeah, Kofi and Morrison should both win their qualifiers. Divas, meh. Great Main Event with the distraction of Cena's music costing Taker. I love it. Orton attacking Jeff furthers that fued too. Great end to the show.
RAW: Perfect opening segment with Cena and Undertaker, I love Undertaker accpeting but not accpeting the handshake. McIntyre/Burke sounds good. Big Tag Team Match, The British Alliance giving away the match is good, they look violent and Londrick still look strong. Aww, no Evan Bourne in Money in the Bank, that kinda sucks but atleast DiBiase made it in there. Lita in the Hall of Fame is great! Glad Burke won, he's looking strong coming off of his title win last week. Brand vs. Brand matches are always cool, Batista for RAW is good. The New Hart Foundation over Cryme Tyme is good. Looks like Legacy have parted nicely. The heels winning is cool. Glad Edge went over Batista, makes Edge look strong. Not surprised the contract signing ended in a brawl.

- Ah, let the mind games begin. Taker/Cena shall be epic. - Liking the British Alliance's vicious style on the other tag champs for the DQ. - DiBiase making it to MITB is good, although Bourne wouldn't of been bad either. - Lita in the Hall of Fame is surely interesting, to say the least, she does deserve it. - Burke getting the win over McIntyre I am fine with, but McIntyre will need momentum for WM. - A brand warfare match sounds good. Batista representing Raw was predictable, but good. - The New Hart Foundation definitely need this more then Cryme Tyme, I see a CT split or release soon. - The Legacy parting like that shows a lot of respect amongst the 3, although they still are all heel. Nice. - Beth and Serena picking up the win is good as Tiffany is pretty weak at this point. - Edge defeating Batista was necessary as he is the WWE Champion, Batista looking semi-weak though. - A good, commonly expected contract signing that ends up in a brawl between the two.
A good show as usual.

March 2nd, 2010 Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas Attendance: 14,601
ECW’s opening video package shows the highlights of the first round of the Road to WrestleMania Tournament last week, to determine who will challenge Jack Swagger for the ECW Title at WrestleMania XXVI.Todd Grisham and Byron Saxton welcome everyone to tonight’s edition of ECW. They promote our two big Tournament matches, which will feature Bryan Danielson taking on Dolph Ziggler, as well as Mr. Kennedy going one on one with Rey Mysterio. Plus, the ECW Champion himself, Jack Swagger will be in tag team action and we’ll see Jimmy Wang Yang face an opponent of Zack Ryder’s choosing.Semi-Final Match Bryan Danielson vs. Dolph Ziggler w/ Alicia Fox & The Miz These two put on a great match in their first encounter, but with the stakes raised tonight, they were even better. Ziggler showed that he has all the makings of having a breakout 2010, while Danielson continued to impress. The crowd keeps getting behind him, and they were nearly heartbroken when Dolph hit the Zig Zag. He covered but Danielson somehow got a shoulder up. When he got up, Ziggler locked him in a sleeper hold, but Danielson backed into a corner, breaking the hold. He then connected with a bridging tiger suplex for the win. Winner: Bryan Danielson [11:21] ***½ Danielson celebrated victory as both members of Perfectly Awesome looked on in fury. The cameras now cut backstage, where Matt Hardy is shown walking, and it looks like he’s coming to the ring area.Commercial Break. Matt Hardy’s theme plays as the former ECW Champion makes his way to the ring. He gets inside and grabs a microphone. He claims that he was robbed last week when he lost to Rey Mysterio in the Road to WrestleMania Tournament. Ever since he lost the ECW Title about a year ago, he has continued to get robbed by this brand. He knows that the annual WWE Draft is coming up soon, and he wants to officially announce tonight that he’s leaving ECW. He says that if he doesn’t get drafted, he will still leave ECW because he just can’t stand it here anymore. He doesn’t care where he goes, as long as he’s away from guys Tommy Dreamer, Rey Mysterio & Mr. Kennedy. Theodore Long’s music hits as he comes out to the stage. He tells Matt that his brand has never screwed him over; he’s just trying to find excuses. And as talented as Matt is, he won’t mind losing him because he’s tired of all the whining. Until Draft night though, Matt is still a part of this brand and next week he’ll be going one on one with Tommy Dreamer in an Extreme Rules match! Matt looks pissed off in the ring as Long heads to the back. Commercial Break. A video package is shown, reminding us that Lita will be the second inductee into the 2010 Hall of Fame. She will be inducted by 2009 Hall of Famer, Trish Stratus!Television Champion Zack Ryder makes his way down the ramp alongside his girlfriend, Courtney. He gets in the ring and says that a few weeks back, Jimmy Wang Yang got incredibly lucky when he beat him in a non-title match. Now he’s asking for a Title shot and according to Zack, one lucky win doesn’t mean he has earned it. If Yang can win tonight, he’s agreed to give him a Title shot next week. So Zack introduces his handpicked opponent for Yang as his former partner and current Dudebuster, Curt Hawkins. Singles Match Curt Hawkins w/ Television Champion Zack Ryder & Courtney vs. Jimmy Wang Yang Hawkins doesn’t get many chances to show off his in-ring work, but with performances like this, he should. He and Yang put on a very good showing, despite not getting much time. Ryder did all he could to interfere as well, even tripped Yang at one point. Shortly after that, Yang ducked a clothesline from Hawkins and hit Ryder with a suicide dive. That opened the door for him to win after he nailed Yang Time on Hawkins. Winner: Jimmy Wang Yang [7:41] ***
Commercial Break. We return to see the commentary team. They announce that along with the finals of the Road to WrestleMania Tournament, next week on ECW, we will see the final Tag Team Turmoil Qualifying match as Yoshi Tatsu and Goldust will take on Perfectly Awesome.Tag Team Match Carlito & ECW Champion Jack Swagger vs. Primo & Tommy Dreamer This was a solid, decent tag match. Swagger and Carlito made sure they worked over Primo throughout the match, until he was forced to make the hot tag. Dreamer got the crowd pumped once he entered as he nailed some of his signature moves on both of his opponents. He set up Swagger for the DDT, but Carlito got up and hit him with the Back Stabber from out of nowhere. Swagger then hit the Gutwrench Power Bomb to seal it. Winners: Carlito & ECW Champion Jack Swagger [9:08] **¾ After the match, Primo charged Swagger, only to be nailed with a Gutwrench as well. Carlito attempted to celebrate, but Swagger surprised everyone by hitting him with one as well. The ECW Champion stood tall and alone in the center of the ring. Commercial Break.
Semi-Final Match Mr. Kennedy vs. Rey Mysterio Two of ECW’s biggest faces squared off in this semi-final battle. They were the big names drafted to ECW last year and both have failed to beat Swagger in previous encounters. They went back and forth through the early portions of the contest. Rey hit the 619 and was prepping for the West Coast Pop, but Kennedy dodged it. When Rey got up, Kennedy hooked him for the Mic Check, but Rey elbowed out of it. He then hit a hurricanrana, which set Kennedy up for the 619 again. Rey went for it, but Kennedy moved out of the way. Rey was on the apron and the two traded fists. Rey got the better and hit the West Coast Pop, but Kennedy rolled through it and bridged it for a pin and the win. Winner: Mr. Kennedy [10:26] *** After the match, Kennedy and Rey shook hands in the middle of the ring, as the announcers put over next week’s final between Kennedy and Danielson.© WWE 2010
