Going to start reading this more often. You always have good sims. The opening match between Kingston and McIntyre was very nice, I'm happy that Kingston picked up the win. The segment between Danielson and McIntyre definitely heated up the rivalry. The extreme rules match is sure to be crazy. Nothing to write home about between Barrett and Haas, just a good way to develop Barrett. Orton running out after the match was sweet. Since I haven't read this diary much, I'm kinda lost, but it seems you're making Orton psychotic. The Abraham Washington Show was interesting to say the least. Makes Masters looks strong, please give him a push! I love to see new, young talent on ECW. Can't wait to see the debut of Riley. Please give Burchill an interesting gimmick! The main event was great, and I love Ezekiel Jackson's dominance. Keep the strap on him for awhile and I'll be happy. Very nice show, Hart, and I'll be reading this more often!

May 28th, 2010 | Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio
Smackdown kicks off with a video package showing how CM Punk defeated Christian, Jeff Hardy and Shelton Benjamin at Extreme Rules in a Ladder match to become World Heavyweight Champion once again.
As we expected, CM Punk’s theme hits to open the program as the Straight Edge Society make their way down the aisle. Punk gets a microphone and is sporting a huge smile. He says that Extreme Rules was a prime example that what he’s been saying all along is true. First, Serena Mancini retained the Women’s Championship and then he won the World Heavyweight Championship for a fourth time. Those two efforts proved once again that straight edge does in fact mean that they’re better than you. He says that it was especially sweet to take the World Title from a drug addict like Jeff Hardy. Since the beginning of 2010 he has told Jeff that straight edge was the way to be and straight edge prevailed this past Sunday. He is cut off by the theme of Jeff Hardy, who comes out to the stage. He says that Punk did not win because he is straight edge or because he is better than Jeff. He won because Drew Gallows and Joey Matthews helped him out. In fact, if it wasn’t for Gallows climbing the ladder for him, he never would’ve reached the top. Punk protests, but Jeff admits that he won’t cry over spilled milk and that’s all in the past now. He looks ahead to the future and his World Title rematch clause. He announces that he’ll be using that rematch clause at the King of the Ring Pay-Per-View and he guarantees to take back his belt. He also says that Stephanie McMahon granted him a tag match for tonight. It will be Punk and Gallows taking on himself and a partner of his choosing! The Straight Edge Society is livid in the ring as Jeff heads to the back with a smile.
Commercial Break
WWE World Tag Team Championship The Dudebusters [c] w/ Caylen Croft vs. The Hart Trilogy w/ Natalya Neidhart |

The Hart Trilogy wasted no time in evoking their rematch clause, using it just five days later. The Dudebusters seem to have implemented the Freebird rule as tonight; Curt Hawkins and Trent Baretta were the ones to defend the gold. Much like the match at Extreme Rules, this featured solid back and forth action. Also just like Extreme Rules, the Dudebusters won after an elbow drop from Hawkins to TJ Wilson.

Winners and Still WWE World Tag Team Champions: The Dudebusters [8:14] **½

In the back April Lee is shown talking with Kelly Kelly about Gail Kim’s actions at Extreme Rules. She says that she was seriously shocked because even though they’ve had their differences recently, she thought their friendship was strong enough to withstand it. She promises to get some answers from Kim tonight.
The United States Champion, Jack Swagger, is shown in his locker room on the phone. He tells whoever’s on the other line that he thinks it’s a great idea and that he’s in. He then says that night just may turn into the biggest of all of their careers. He hangs up and smiles leaving everyone to wonder what’s going on.Commercial BreakStephanie McMahon and Vickie Guerrero are in their office when we return from commercial. They are discussing what to do about Randy Orton’s recent actions. Vickie says that she has actually enjoyed Orton’s attacks over the past few weeks. Stephanie says that what he’s doing is wrong and as a Smackdown roster member, it’s their responsibility to take action. She then ponders what to do as we cut to the ring. The Miz vs. Tyler Black | This started last week when The Miz defeated Tyler Black after using a handful of tights. Black came out firing, trying to avenge that loss and get some momentum going into the King of the Ring Tournament. Miz rallied and showed just as much as fire, as he also needs some steam for the Tournament. After some very good back and forth action, Black managed to even the score by nailing Miz with the Paroxysm. | Winner: Tyler Black [8:19] **¾ |
Josh Matthews is backstage alongside “Captain Charisma”. He asks Christian how he feels about the tough loss he suffered at Extreme Rules this past Sunday. Christian says that since he returned at the start of the year, he came up short against his brother at WrestleMania and last Sunday in the Ladder Match. He admits that for his whole career people have told him that he would never be World Champion and honestly, he’s been proving them right. His next chance is the King of the Ring Tournament and he doesn’t care who he has to go through, but he will win the whole thing and finally become World Champion.Commercial BreakChristian vs. Cody Rhodes | Talk about an opportunity for a young superstar like Cody Rhodes. Christian is a main eventer, who wrestled in a WrestleMania WWE Title match and Rhodes made the most of his chance. He showed off a wide repertoire of offense, including a beautiful moonsault for a near fall. Rhodes hooked Christian for the Cross Rhodes, but he elbowed his way out of it and went for the Unprettier. Rhodes pushed him off into the corner and ran in to nail him. Christian moved and kicked Rhodes in the face, followed by the Unprettier for the win in a very hard fought contest. | Winner: Christian [11:15] ***½ |
Christian left up the ramp while Rhodes began to collect himself in the ring. Suddenly, Goldust comes out from under the ring and gets behind his brother. He turns him around and levels him with multiple right hands before dropping him with the Curtain Call. Goldust has finally gained some revenge on his brother tonight.Commercial BreakStephanie McMahon’s theme hits as she comes down the ramp alongside Vickie Guerrero, who does not look pleased to be there. They get in the ring and Stephanie says that it’s time for them to announce their decision regarding Randy Orton. Before they can even begin, Orton’s theme hits and he very unstable “Viper” joins them in the ring. Security rushes down and gets in between Orton and the General Managers. Stephanie announces that due to Randy’s violent attacks on Raw and ECW, he must be punished. Therefore, she is suspending Orton for a month without pay. Randy smirks and says that suspension won’t matter to him. He goes as far as to say that firing him wouldn’t stop his assaults. He lost the World Title and is in the middle of a losing streak and he will not stop hurting people until he’s back at the top. To everyone’s surprise, Shelton Benjamin’s theme song hits as the “Gold Standard” comes down to the ring. He looks very serious as he enters the ring and just tackles Orton to the ground. The crowd goes crazy as this brawl just started out of nowhere. Security finally separates the two and pulls Orton to the outside. Stephanie demands o know what this is about. Benjamin picks up a microphone and tells Stephanie that she should lift the suspension on Orton because he wants him one on one at King of the Ring. On Tuesday, Orton went to ECW and punted his best friend, Charlie Haas in the skull and put him out of action. Benjamin says that he will not let that slide and wants revenge at King of the Ring. Stephanie and Vickie talk it over and agree that the match will indeed take place! Commercial BreakKing of the Ring First Round United States Champion Jack Swagger vs. Kaval |

ECW’s Kaval made a visit to the one brand he’s never been a part of tonight and he impressed. He showed exactly why he’s a former Intercontinental Champion, but he didn’t have enough in him to overtake the United States Champion, who has just been on fire lately. Kaval shocked everyone when he kicked out of the Gutwrench Powerbomb. Swagger was frustrated by that, but managed to keep it together enough to force Kaval to tap out to the Ankle Lock.

Winner: United States Champion Jack Swagger [9:27] ***

Commercial BreakThe Miz is now shown backstage icing his neck when Stephanie McMahon comes up to him. She informs him that he will be involved in a King of the Ring First Round match next week on Smackdown against a Raw Superstar. The Miz gets up gingerly and says that even his loss tonight cannot stop his destiny, which is to win the King of the Ring.
We return to see the announce table as they are joined by a special guest in April Lee.Gail Kim vs. Kelly Kelly | Kim truly showed off her heel side tonight as she was very aggressive throughout. She wasn’t a true brute though, instead she was very maniacal. She twisted Kelly in weird positions and really aimed to hurt her opponent. Lee pointed out that this wasn’t the same woman who mentored her. Kim won after a vicious Eat Defeat. | Winner: Gail Kim [4:05] ** |
Once the bell rang, April Lee got up and went inside the ring. She went up to Kim with a microphone and wanted an explanation for her costing Lee the Women’s Title match at Extreme Rules. Instead of giving an answer, Kim offered her a handshake. Lee tentatively accepted and Kim pulled her into the Eat Defeat! Kim stood over Lee’s fallen body as we cut to the back.
We now cut to the back where World Champion CM Punk is giving the Straight Edge Society a pep talk before the main event. We’ll find out Jeff Hardy’s mystery tag team partner when we return!Commercial BreakWorld Heavyweight Champ CM Punk & Drew Gallows w/ The Straight Edge Society vs. Jeff Hardy & Big Show |

That’s right, Hardy’s partner is the returning Big Show who had been out with an injury. Punk and Gallows were clearly upset about this. The match began with the faces in firm control as they used the surprise of Show to their advantage. Of course, the SES eventually took over by working over Jeff with double teams and cutting the ring in half. Once Hardy made the hot tag though, Show completely took over and dominated. Shortly after getting the tag, he planted Gallows with the Chokeslam for the victory

Winners: Big Show & Jeff Hardy [9:44] **½

CM Punk, Joey Matthews and Serena Mancini backed up the ramp as Show and Hardy celebrated in the ring. WWE SmackDown: Friday 28th May 2010...Alright, long time no see. CM Punk starting the show was best, obviously since he won the World Heavyweight Championship at Extreme Rules. But you do need to refreshen the main event scene on SmackDown a lot, you haven't got too many options for solid champions this year that haven't already had a lot of exposure. Like the sound of CM Punk facing Jeff Hardy at the King of the Ring event, not too fond of the idea to return the event though as a pay-per-view. Actually, I suppose it makes some sense. Only some though. The Dudebusters retaining the WWE Tag Team Championships didn't surprise me, nice try by the Hart Trilogy though. Still not too sold on Trent Barreta and Caylen Croft. Tyler Black beating The Miz is cool, but was surprised by nothing happening following the match, anything to do with Miz and Black. It was just a standard match. Christian beating Cody Rhodes is fine, a great match tonight. Would love these two to feud down the line. Meh involvement with Goldust; for Cody, Christian is where it's at, not Goldust. Stephanie McMahon's promo was good, but Randy Orton and Shelton Benjamin while it sounds pretty anticipated, I'm not too fond of the idea if I'm honest. Orton has it won I think. I must have missed Orton punting Charlie Haas. Obvious win for Jack Swagger against Kaval; Swagger is a top contender to the King of the Ring this year. Gail Kim beating Kelly Kelly is acceptable. Lastly, Big Show returning is great. Good win for Show and Jeff against the Straight Edge Society, and we now have a threat to Punk not known as Jeff Hardy. Decent episode.

May 31st, 2010 | Frank Erwin Center [University of Texas] in Austin, Texas
We open with a video showing what went down last week involving John Cena, Chris Jericho and Edge. It then showed the wwe.com announcement saying that Edge will defend the WWE Title at King of the Ring against both Cena and Jericho in a Triple Threat match.
Speaking of the WWE Championship match at the King of the Ring, our Champion comes out to kick off the broadcast. Edge is in street clothes and looks to be in a serious mood. He gets in the ring and begins to speak about what was done on wwe.com this past week. He claims that while it is unfair for him to face both Jericho and Cena, he admits that once again, he’s changed his ways. Ever since his Steel Cage match with Shane McMahon at Extreme Rules, he sees things in a different light. No longer will he complain if he thinks something is unjust in the WWE. From now on he will just go on with his business and do the important thing, which is retaining his WWE Title. He is cut off by the theme of Chris Jericho. The self-proclaimed “best in the world at what he does” gets right in Edge’s face and simply tells him that he’s gone soft. The old Edge and his opportunistic self was the kind of guy Jericho had respect for. Now, he feels that Edge is turning into another John Cena type, which is bad for everyone. He challenges Edge to a match tonight, to show him that his new attitude will only lead to failure. Edge accepts and promises that he’ll win tonight and retain his belt at King of the Ring.
Commercial Break

Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston

Elijah Burke joined the commentator’s table during this contest as he was scouting the man who took his Intercontinental Title, Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler has been on a roll lately, putting on great match after great match and tonight was no different. Mr. Money in the Bank is on a roll himself, which helped this contest out. After some very solid and fast paced action, Ziggler put Kingston down with a rollup and a handful of tights.

Winner: Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler [9:56] ***

Dolph Ziggler is handed his Title and taunts with it in the direction of Elijah Burke. It is clear that things between these two are far from over.
Josh Matthews is backstage with John Cena. He asks him how he feels about his opponents for the King of the Ring facing off in a one on one match tonight. Cena says he’s fine with it, but he feels a little left out. He is actually hurt that they didn’t want to include him in their festivities tonight. He says he’s going to do something about it though and walks off.Commercial BreakMVP is shown entering John “Bradshaw” Layfield’s office to a chorus of cheers. He tells JBL that he still wants his hands on Alberto Del Rio, more than anything. JBL sighs and says that MVP is becoming a thorn in his side with this obsession over Del Rio. JBL claims to admire Del Rio and thinks that MVP is being a nuisance. MVP gets mad at that, so JBL comes up with a compromise. He says that we can get MVP vs. Alberto Del Rio next week on Raw, since Del Rio is in a King of the Ring match tonight.Airbourne Angels vs. The Usos | The tag team division in the WWE is truly heating up now. The Usos and the Airbourne Angels are both new to the tag division but they put on a great match here. The Usos cut the ring in half and worked over the newcomer, Justin Angel, until he made the hot tag to Evan Bourne. Bourne came in on fire, but his streak cooled off after Jules Uso caught his top rope cross body attempt and drilled him with a Samoan Drop. He covered and got the 1-2-3. | Winners: The Usos [7:25] **½ |
The Usos leave up the ramp celebrating as the crowd booed. The Airbourne Angels have hit a snag in just their second match!Commercial BreakWe return to see the Divas Champion Michelle McCool and her new best friend, Layla, talking backstage. McCool says that they’re going to win their first official match together tonight. Layla claims that they are “simply flawless” and that the rest of the Divas locker room is far below them.King of the Ring First Round |

Alberto Del Rio vs. Bryan Danielson

This first time ever match proved to be one of the best in recent memory. It was given a lot of time and solidified Del Rio as an excellent in-ring worker. For Danielson, this was another in his string of fantastic matches since debut in late 2009. Both men worked the arm, which was interesting. Del Rio managed lock in his Cross Armbar, but Danielson somehow reversed it into a Crossface variation. Del Rio reached the ropes though and then attempted a German suplex. Danielson blocked it, rolled forward into a pining combination and got the win!

Winner: Bryan Danielson [13:29] ****

As Danielson leaves up the ramp, Del Rio is very frustrated in the ring. Suddenly, MVP’s theme hits as the former WWE Champion comes down to the ring. Once he enters, Del Rio slides out, and MVP gets a microphone. He says that he doesn’t want to wait until next week. Del Rio shakes his head “no” and MVP gets frustrated. JBL appears on the titantron and says that he wasn’t kidding earlier when he claimed that he was sick and tired of MVP. To come out here and demand a match when JBL granted him one for next week. He has decided to cancel next week’s match. MVP is livid, but JBL says that they will meet one on one at the King of the Ring. Not only that, but it will be a Loser Leaves Raw match! JBL guarantees that he will rid himself of MVP’s whining one way or another.Commercial BreakMr. Kennedy vs. Sheamus | Both of these guys are part of Raw’s upper mid-card, which is getting pretty loaded at the moment. Mr. Kennedy is really looking to re-establish himself on Raw after his successful ECW run. Sheamus is looking to continue his hot streak since his debut. It turns out that Sheamus would be the one to get what he wanted tonight as he picked up the win following the Brogue Kick. | Winner: Sheamus [6:54] ** |
After the match, Sheamus grabbed a microphone and said that tonight was a preview of what’s going to happen over the next few weeks. He’s going to destroy Kofi Kingston in the second round of the King of the Ring Tournament, and then go on to win the whole Tournament. He promises that whoever holds the WWE Championship by SummerSlam, will wish he was never entered into the Tournament.
Ashley Valance is now standing by with former Divas Champion Maryse. She says that she wants her rematch at the Divas Championship. Mickie James interrupts and claims that she’ll be next in line for a title shot after she beats LayCool in the next match. Maryse slaps her, which then leads to a brawl between two of the top contenders.Commercial BreakWe return to see an advertisement for the upcoming King of the Ring Pay-Per-View, featuring Sheamus, The Miz, Christian, Jack Swagger and Kofi Kingston.Team LayCool vs. Mickie James & Tiffany | This turned out to be a bit one-sided due to the brawl that James was just involved in. Tiffany had to do the heavy lifting for her team, and while she started good, the two on one disadvantage was too much for her. LayCool put her down in a few minutes when Layla nailed the Lay-Out. | Winners: Team LayCool [4:01] *¼ |
Chris Jericho is shown talking with Alberto Del Rio, before he has to step away and begin walking towards the arena for his main event match!Commercial BreakNon-Title Match | Chris Jericho vs. WWE Champion Edge | Jericho and Edge showed some great chemistry, despite not wrestling one on one in a long time. Midway through the contest, John Cena walked down to ringside to watch his two opponents for King of the Ring go at it. Near the finish, Jericho went for the Codebreaker, but Edge held onto the top rope. As Jericho began to get up, Edge stalked him for the Spear. He ran for it and connected. He covered but Jericho got his foot on the bottom rope. Edge stalked for it again, but Jericho slid out of the ring. Unfortunately for him, he ran right into Cena, who rolled him back into the ring. Edge met him with a second Spear and picked up the victory. | Winner: WWE Champion Edge [10:19] **¾ |
After the match, Edge celebrated with the WWE Title until Cena entered. Cena offered Edge a handshake, but Edge was reluctant to accept. He accepted, only to deliver a huge Edgecution! Edge has shown tonight that he will not make any friends on his way to the King of the Ring.© WWE 2010

Woo! It's back! Nice opening promo there. Seems like Edge is going to face, eh? Him vs Jericho shall be good. Hot action to get things underway. Glad to see Dolph get the win here, expecting him to face Burke at King of the Ring, too. Looking forward to MVP vs Del Rio next week - though I see something going on in that KOTR match... Pleased that you had the Uso's go over Gabriel and Bourne - they need to be shown credibility. I do like that you are building the tag division more, too. Hmm. Surprised to see MVP not cost Del Rio the match but it was an excellent match up between ADR and Danielson, and I am glad that Danielson moves on. Ah, there he is! Making the match for King of the Ring is great. With loser leaves Raw, it's pretty obvious that MVP is on his way out. I also remember reading one of your news' saying MVP wanted to leave after his contract was up, anyway. Sheamus going over Kennedy is fine. Seems that Kennedy is losing relevance and I do expect Sheamus to defeat Kingston in the second round. Team Laycool winning in their first tag match is good. Weak match-up is best and I hope they rise up in the division. Interesting - more talk with Jericho and Del Rio, eh? Good main event and I am glad to see Edge pick up the win and show he still can be aggressive well he starts to go face with the Edgecution on Cena. A good show and welcome back, dude.

Counter act - it's funny how Cole is the only one who does this. -Jericho calling Edge is soft and the verbal exchanges having me thinking this will be hyped greatly. Nice promo to kick off the show. -The Usos going over is cool. I like the name Airbourne Angels. -Bryan Danielson over Alberto Del Rio is awesome either way. I see him going far in this tourney. -Sheamus over Kennedy is the right call. Yeah the mid-card is loaded, so I hope to see some take the jump to a main eventer. -Edge over Y2J in the main event was awesome. I knew it was just a trick! Good twist to end the show here. -Good show all in all; welcome back.

Not sure I read this or not in its first go round, but apparently it was well liked! Here we go: Anything with Edge and Jericho, I love. The opening segment was great, and a really good way to hype up a great main event. Ziggler getting the win on Kofi kinda makes Mr. MITB look a tad weak, but hey, maybe Kofi will get some revenge. Liking this stuff between Burke and Ziggler too. Good match between the Angels and the Usos, I liked the team of Angel and Bourne. The match between Danielson and Del Rio seemed really good, cool finish. The happenings afterwards were great too, excited to see what they do at KOTR. Very cool ending to the show, I'm excited for this triple threat! Keep this up, I like!

Pleased to see you back around, Kev.
Raw, I am loving that you are using King of the Ring as an actual Pay-Per-View. Good opening segment, and I predict Chris Jericho to win in the Main Event. Dolph Ziggler over Kofi Kingston is good, and this Ziggler/Burke feud is something I am definitely interested in. Liking the 'Airbourne Angels' teaming, but I am glad The Usos pick up the victory, and I hope you push them. Bryan Danielson going further in the King of the Ring Tournament is for the best, leaving an opening for MVP to take on Alberto Del Rio at the event. I always thought Sheamus was a great choice in the real WWE, so to see him win the Tournament here would be great as well. Divas have just become boring to me, but a Lay-Cool victory is always good. Was shocked to see the WWE Champion, Edge take the victory, but with Cena involved, it made sense. Loved the ending, showing that Edge is picking no favorites, and I hope to see him retain. A very good show, as per usual.

WWE RAW: Monday 31st May 2010...Decent opening promo with Edge in the ring talking about Extreme Rules. Chris Jericho and Edge once again going at it sounds good for the main event. Dolph Ziggler beating Kofi Kingston is fine, decent win for Ziggler there. Ah god, the Airbourne Angels. Not my favourite team name. The Usos had to win as they are newer to the company. Justin Angel and Evan Bourne are a decent combination, but were jabronified here. Bryan Danielson beating Alberto Del Rio was a solid first time contest of the King of the Ring tournament, very very nice. Sheamus beating Mr Kennedy...plain match. Sheamus claiming himself as future WWE Champion; beating Kennedy does little. Laycool beating Mickie James and Tiffany is fine, no problem. Edge beating Chris Jericho is a fair main event win for Edge. Hopefully this is Edge and Cena's actual final WWE Championship encounter ever. Nothing too special this week.

A video package is shown, including highlights of the events of last week’s ECW. It focused on John Morrison picking up the win for his team in last week’s tag team main event match.
King of the Ring First Round |

Cody Rhodes vs. Television Champion Joe Hennig

For the second straight week, ECW opens with a King of the Ring First Round contest. Smackdown’s Cody Rhodes visited the Extreme brand here, and took it right to the Television Champion. Rhodes continued his string of great performances here with a brilliant match. Henning was just as impressive in one of the best matches of his career. Rhodes was in control throughout, but Hennig shocked everyone when he blocked the Cross Rhodes by hitting a snap mare. He then hooked and nailed the Hennig-Plex to advance in the Tournament!

Winner: Television Champion Joe Hennig [9:37] ***½

Joe Hennig continues his hot streak as he has shocked the world and moves on to the Quarter Finals of the King of the Ring Tournament!Commercial BreakJohn Morrison comes out and immediately calls out Ezekiel Jackson. Jackson slowly makes his way down the ramp. Morrison says that with his win last week, he wants a rematch at Jackson’s ECW Title. Ezekiel tells Morrison that he would love to get in the ring and crush him, but he has nothing left to prove. He defeated him at Extreme Rules and Morrison does not deserve another shot at him. Morrison tells Jackson that he sounds like a man who is scared of how close he came to dethroning him. Jackson says that with no General Manager, he feels like, as Champion, he’s in charge around here and his word is final. He is suddenly cut off by the music of ECW’s newest force, Wade Barrett. Barrett stays at the top of the ramp and says that he’s the sole reason for Teddy Long’s absence, which should put him in charge. But he’s not here to fight over that. He’s here to challenge John Morrison to a match next week. Whoever wins will go on to face Ezekiel Jackson for the ECW Title at King of the Ring. Jackson says that he actually likes that idea because he would like to embarrass Morrison again, and he’d also like to show Barrett who’s the true dominator of ECW. Commercial BreakChris Masters vs. The Hurricane | This stemmed from Hurricane attempting the Masterlock Challenge and the brawl that ensued during last week’s Abraham Washington Show. The two showed some decent chemistry as their styles meshed pretty well together. Hurricane came close on several attempts, but ultimately, he fell victim to the Materlock. | Winner: Chris Masters ** |

Ashley Valance is now standing by with Bryan Danielson. She asks for his opinion heading into tonight’s huge Extreme Rules match with Drew McIntyre. Danielson says that McIntyre attempted to end his career with that vicious chair shot a few weeks back. He will never forget that, because he loves to wrestle and Drew nearly took that from him. He says that he’s going to show Drew just how extreme he can get.Commercial BreakThe announcers take us to the Raw Rebound, focusing on last night’s broadcast.Aksana introduces Abraham Washington, who comes out to the stage, which is set up for his talk show; “The Abraham Washington Show.” He thanks the lovely Aksana for her warm introduction before bragging about the success of his debut broadcast last week. He not only got to give a great interview, but he got to see The Hurricane get knocked unconscious. He says that he’s much happier with his guest tonight, as it’s ECW newest Superstar, the “Varsity Villain” Alex Riley! Riley comes out to a chorus of boos, sporting a blue and yellow letter jacket. He shakes Washington’s hand and gives Aksana a kiss on the cheek. Washington asks him a few questions about his plans for ECW. Riley reiterates his vignettes by saying that he will take the ECW roster to school and eventually become the ECW Champion. He says that he’s been the “quarterback”, so to speak, everywhere he’s gone and ECW will be more of the same. His first order of business will be the Television Championship. That leads to Joe Hennig, the current Champion, joining us at the top of the ramp. He tells Riley that he hasn’t earned the right to make statements about the Television Title yet. Riley smirks and slaps Hennig, which leads to a pull-apart brawl between the two. For the second straight week, the Abraham Washington Show leads to chaos. Commercial BreakKaval vs. Paul Burchill w/ Katie Lea Burchill | Last week, Burchill made his ECW debut and decided to assault the “World Warrior” from behind after his interview. Burchill was impressive here, as he always seems to be and the same can be said for Kaval, who has been on fire since his face turn. Near the end, Burchill called for the Curb Stomp, but Kaval rolled him into a small package when he went to grab him. He only got a near fall there, but shortly thereafter, he put Burchill down with the Warrior’s Way. | Winner: Kaval [6:02] **½ |
Josh Matthews is with Wade Barrett and he asks Barrett what made him throw his name into the hat for the ECW Title tonight. Barrett says that Josh Matthews asks the stupidest questions. The sole purpose of him coming to ECW was to take over and the ECW Championship is the best way to do so. He promises to rack up the biggest win of his career next week, before moving on to the ECW Championship.
Drew McIntyre is shown walking towards the arena, as our Extreme Rules main event comes up next!Commercial Break

Bryan Danielson vs. Drew McIntyre

As expected, this was given a lot of time, which seems to always be the case when Danielson is involved. At the start it was clear that this was going to be a different side of Danielson as he was ready to brawl. The action eventually spilled to the outside, where McIntyre took control. He choked Danielson with cables and leveled him in the back with a steel chair. He attempted to nail the Scot Drop onto a chair, but Danielson reversed it into a Northern lights suplex onto the chair for a near fall. In the end though, Danielson tried his suicide dive, only to have a bloodied McIntyre hit him with a vicious chair shot again, just like a few weeks ago! The crowd was stunned as the “Sinister Scotsman” dragged Danielson into the ring and got the three count.

Winner: Drew McIntyre [11:21] ****

The crowd was still stunned in silence as Drew stood up and raised his arm in the air. Medics rushed to the ring to check on Danielson, whose spot in the King of the Ring may now be in jeopardy.© WWE 2010

ECW, was shocked to see Joe Hennig pick up the victory here, was totally expecting to see Cody Rhodes advance, but Hennig advancing is good. Love that Ezekiel Jackson is the ECW Champion, and a #1 Contenders Match next week between John Morrison and Wade Barrett should be good. I hope to see John Morrison win and receive another shot at the title. Chris Masters going over The Hurricane is good, would like to see him pushed. Alex Riley on ECW is for the best, and I would like to see him take the Television Championship from Joe Hennig, he'd make a great Champion. A victory for Kaval is good, even at the expense of Paul Burchill. Drew McIntyre over Bryan Danielson shocked me with Danielson being the one in the King of the Ring Tournament. Could this possibly result in Drew McIntyre replacing him? Can't wait to see what you have planned. Another good show.

ECW on SyFy: Tuesday 1st June 2010...June already, ahaha. Shame that Cody Rhodes didn't advance into the King of the Ring tournament, seriously. Joe Hennig is an alright choice though, two former Legacy members in a hot opening contest. John Morrison's promo was oddly positioned, but it was fine. Wade Barrett coming out was nice, but Barrett is far from ready to get the ECW Championship. In addition, Barrett facing Ezekiel Jackson obviously won't happen. However Barrett facing ECW main eventer John Morrison will effectively put Barrett over some way or another. Chris Masters beating The Hurricane, nothing special. Abraham Washington was cool, Alex Riley on the show is great, but you have too many heels on the show. Nice to see him immediately target Joe Hennig, but let Joe lose out on the King of the Ring tournament first (it will happen). Kaval beating Paul Burchill makes him look solid against the larger Burchill. Lastly, decent Extreme Rules main event, four stars I doubt though. Drew McIntyre beating Bryan Danielson was probably the better decision, great main event and a good show overall, seemed a little long for an hour though.

Rhodes probably would have been the better choice to go over to begin with, though Hennig going over is big for him. Either way, you have a great star going through to the next round.
I liked the Morrison/Zeke confrontation. I just find it hard to believe Zeke would turn down a challenge, because he has nothing left to prove, but then go on to accept one and say he'd like to embarrass Morrison. Sounds like something to prove. Barrett coming in to this is promising for him, though I don't see him beating Morrison.
Masters over Hurricane is pretty self-explanatory.
Danielson/McIntyre should fun, especially under Extreme Rules.
Not sure I like Riley proclaiming how great he is, how he's the "quarterback" of ECW yet he's going for the second belt. Would it not make sense for him to go straight for the top guys? Hennig/Riley should at least be a decent feud.
Kaval over Burchill is nice. I hope Kaval gets a push in the near future. I'd love to see a Kaval/Morrison feud.
Barrett's interview was great. Dark horse, perhaps?
Surprised to see McIntyre beat Danielson. It sounded like a really good match, though probably should have gotten a few minutes longer just to keep the fans happy. Marking for McIntyre right now. I wonder how this match will affect Danielson's King of the Ring participation.

Nice match to start off the show, man. Would've liked for Rhodes to move on, but Hennig is always nice. I could see him being big in the future. Great segment with Jackson, Barrett, and Morrison was very nicely done, and I'm excited to see Barrett and Morrisons match. Masters over Hurricane is a nice little match. Really excited to see what Riley does in ECW, he could potentially be the face of that show. Smacking Hennig is awesome, you're handling Riley so well. Kaval winning is good, especially on a big man like Paul Birchill. Makes him look legit. The main event tore the house down, really awesome match. McIntyre is a beast, man. Keep this up.

Adding the Airbourne Angels, The South Beach Party Boys and The Usos have helped give the division a jolt. -It's pretty much guaranteed that Alberto Del Rio will walk out of King of the Ring with his hand raised in victory as MVP is very upset with company officials and has pretty much ruled out re-signing with the company. June 4th, 2010 | American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas
Pyrotechnics fire off to signal the start of tonight’s Smackdown broadcast. Our announce team of Matt Striker and Todd Grisham introduce us and remind everyone of the Big Show’s triumphant return last Friday night. They announce that tonight’s main event will be a non-title contest pitting the World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk against Big Show himself! Also, we will witness a first time ever match when Shelton Benjamin takes on Jack Swagger as well as one more King of the Ring contest.
The Big Show joins us to begin the show as he walks down the ramp to a big pop from the WWE Universe. He gets on the microphone and says that it’s good to be back where he belongs, on Friday nights. Last week, he helped out an old friend in Jeff Hardy, by teaming with him against the Straight Edge Society. In his opinion, the Straight Edge Society is the worst thing to hit the WWE in a long time. He feels that CM Punk is wrong to claim to be better than everyone else because he is straight edge. People have told Show throughout his life that because he’s different, he’s not as good as others and that just isn’t right. As one would expect, he is cut off by the SES. They slowly walk down the ramp as Punk berates Show. He says that he’s not better than Show because he’s straight edge. He’s better than Show because Show sucks. He tells him that while at one time Show was a suitable performer; he is far past his prime and should just retire. The SES surround the ring as Show prepares to defend himself. Before they can attack though, Jeff Hardy’s theme hits as he rushes out and trades shots with Punk. Show battles with Gallows and Matthews in the ring until officials break this whole thing up.
Commercial Break
King of the Ring First Round |

Mr. Kennedy vs. The Miz

Mr. Kennedy has been in a bit of a rut since he moved to Raw during the draft a few months back, while The Miz has been on a tear as of late. That meant bad things for Kennedy, although he did put forth a good effort and really got the crowd behind him. The Miz continued to roll as he advanced by hitting the Skull Crushing Finale after a solid back and forth contest.

Winner: The Miz [8:05] **½

Post match, The Miz grabbed a microphone. He says that he saw Sheamus make claims about winning the King of the Ring this past Monday and while he can see why the “Celtic Warrior” thinks he’s going to be King, he is sorely mistaken. The Miz has stated over and over again that 2010 is the “Year of Awesome” and he will continue his hot streak when he beats Joe Hennig in the Quarter Finals and goes on to become King Awesome.Commercial BreakStephanie McMahon is in the ring when Smackdown returns to the air. She says that she doesn’t want to take up too much time tonight, so she’ll make her announcement short and to the point. She has enjoyed her time as the General Manager of Smackdown over the past year, but her time at her current post is up. She announces that she is pregnant and will be leaving her job as General Manager of Smackdown. Unfortunately, she hasn’t decided on a replacement, so for the time being, Vickie Guerrero will be in complete control. She promises to get a replacement as soon as possible and she thanks the fans for their support. The camera catches Vickie Guerrero watching on a monitor and she has a huge smile on her face. She gets her phone and goes to make a phone call before shoving the cameraman out of the room.
Josh Matthews is standing by with Shelton Benjamin. He asks Shelton about his upcoming match with Randy Orton at King of the Ring. Shelton says that he hasn’t wanted something this badly in a long time. When Randy punted Charlie Haas last week, it set something off inside of him. He promises to end Randy’s career the same way that Randy nearly ended Charlie’s.Commercial BreakGoldust vs. Tyler Black | With this match including two faces, it was a match based on respect. Both men gave it their all and traded shots. Goldust was close to gaining a victory on a few occasions but Black was ready when he attempted the Curtain Call. He blocked it and nailed Paroxsym, followed by the Phoenix Splash to pick up the win. | Winner: Tyler Black [6:16] ** |
Tyler Black headed up the ramp just as Cody Rhodes’ theme music hit the speakers. He rushes out past Black and enters the ring. He begins to stomp on his downed brother before going outside and grabbing a steel chair. He enters the ring with it, but Tyler Black re-entered and leveled him with a dropkick. Rhodes rolls to the outside and is furious that someone has helped his brother out.
April Lee is shown walking backstage and she stops at Gail Kim’s locker room door. She knocks but gets no answer. Flustered and frustrated, she walks away. Seconds later, Kim opens the door and stares her down as she walks away, with a vicious look on her face.Commercial Break

United States Champion Jack Swagger vs. Shelton Benjamin

This first time ever match proved to be an excellent first hour main event as the former amateur wrestlers showed great chemistry. They were given a lot of time, which truly helped. Swagger nailed his slingshot splash and a big sitout powerbomb for near falls. Shelton got close calls after hitting the T-Bone and the Shell Bomb. Swagger tried to lock in an Ankle Lock, but Shelton rolled through and send Swagger crashing into the corner. Shelton ran in and connected with the Shelton Splash, followed by Paydirt for the win.

Winner: Shelton Benjamin [11:03] ***½

Randy Orton’s theme hit as soon as the bell rang and Shelton quickly prepared himself for an attack. Instead, Orton appeared on the Titantron in what looked like a hospital hallway. He informed Shelton that was at this hospital to visit someone very special. He enters the room he’s next to and we see Charlie Haas, asleep on a hospital bed. Randy says that if he wanted to, he could easily do worse than punt Charlie right now. He could seriously injure him and not just end his career, but put his life in danger. Shelton is fuming in the ring as Randy continues to threaten Charlie. In the end, Randy decides that he will not hurt Charlie right now; he just wants Shelton to know that he can strike at any place and at any time.Commercial BreakThe WWE World Tag Team Champions, the Dudebusters, come down to the ring and get on the microphone. Trent Baretta introduces them as the “coolest” tag team in WWE history, while Caylen Croft calls them the best tag team in history. Curt Hawkins says that people have claimed they are using the “Freebird” rule, but that’s wrong. It’s the “Dudebuster” rule because they are clearly the superior tag team. The South Beach Party Boys’ theme hits as they come out to the stage dancing. Percy Watson claims that himself and Darren Young combine to form the coolest tag team in WWE history, but that’s not what’s important to them right now. They want to raise the stakes in their match tonight. If the South Beach Party Boys win, they want a guaranteed future Tag Team Title shot. The Dudebusters protest until the South Beach Party Boys goad them into it by calling them chicken and several other nicknames.

The Dudebusters [c] w/ Trent Barreta vs. The South Beach Party Boys

Since their debut, the Watson and Young have proved to be a pretty good tag team, while the Dudebusters have shown potential to be great. Those two things helped make this match a good encounter between two solid tag teams. The Dudebusters cut the ring in half, but eventually, Watson got the tag and came in on fire. He capitalized on that momentum and won after nailing a huge splash.

Winners: The South Beach Party Boys [6:15] **¼

Commercial BreakAshley Valance is standing by with Cody Rhodes, who does not look to be happy. He says that last week his brother attacked him, then he suffered a humiliating loss on ECW in the King of the Ring Tournament and tonight, Tyler Black decides to stick his nose in places that it doesn’t belong. The Miz walks up to him and says that Tyler Black tends to be a thorn in many people’s sides, including his. He walks away with Cody, discussing something.April Lee & Natalya Neidhart vs. Beth Phoenix & Women’s Champion Serena Mancini | This was your standard Divas tag match as usual. The heels worked over Lee until she made the tag to Natalya, who came in on fire. It did not last long enough though as Beth and Natalya took the action to the outside. Serena hoisted Lee up for the Mancini Code, but Lee reversed it and locked in an octopus hold. Serena had no choice but to tap out! | Winners: April Lee & Natalya Neidhart [4:02] ** |
April Lee celebrated her win with Natalya as the losers headed back up the ramp. The announcers put over how Lee just forced the current Women’s Champion to submit. Suddenly, Gail Kim rushes in through the crowd and hits Natalya with the Eat Defeat! Lee gets ready to defend herself, but Kim doesn’t attack her. Instead, she grabs a microphone. She says that she’s heard all of the voicemails that April has left her, asking why she attacked her at Extreme Rules. She calls April dumb, saying that it should be obvious. When April debuted in the WWE, she came to Kim for advice and guidance. But once Lee got a few wins under her belt, she became arrogant and decided that she didn’t need Kim anymore. Lee objects to these lies, but Kim shouts for her to shut up. She says that it should’ve been her and not April, who faced Serena at Extreme Rules. She then surprises everyone by leveling Lee with the microphone in the head. Kim leaves the ring sporting a twisted smile, as Lee slowly starts to get up. Commercial Break

Big Show vs. World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk w/ Drew Gallows & Joey Matthews

Punk and Show displayed some solid chemistry in this contest, although it was by no means a classic main event. At one point, Gallows interfered and got himself and Matthews ejected from the contest. Punk was furious, which allowed Show to really take control. At about the ten minute mark, he signaled for the knockout punch only to have Matthews rush back out and hit him in the back.

Winner via Disqualification: Big Show [9:48] **½

Show was barely phased by Matthews’ shot as he turned and hit him with the knockout punch instead. Punk used this opportunity to nail Show with a low blow. He was then joined by Gallows and Mancini in stomping on Show, until Jeff Hardy rushed out to make the save. Gallows charge him and was met by a Twist of Fate. Punk got out of dodge, along with Serena, as Jeff dared him to re-enter the ring. He checked on Show as the show closed.© WWE 2010

WWE SmackDown: Friday 4th June 2010...Decent opening promo to kick off the show, it wasn't bad and him in a scenario with CM Punk could be cool, honestly never was a fan of their feud though. Liked Show having to fight off the Straight Edge Society though. Mr Kennedy losing to The Miz was expecting, very nice King of the Ring tournament; but I would have preferred the set up to have remained even between brands: six, six, four (RAW, SmackDown and ECW) rather than having interpromotional matches all the time. I also think you should have an official bracket, I'm clueless who is facing who in the quarter-finals. Seemed very predictable for Tyler Black to defeat Goldust. Cody Rhodes' involvement was intriguing, who is the face here? Shelton Benjamin beating Jack Swagger was a good match, happy to see Shelton with the win though. Randy Orton's theme hitting...should have just had him appear. Him threatening to strike Charlie Haas with the punt made Haas look stupid and was an obvious rehash of Orton's feud with Jeff Hardy when he punted Matt in the backstage area, two years before this. The Dudebusters beginning the Freebird rule was nice, good promo to begin their ego but they are sort've mediocre on the microphone. Way to take any momentum they just gained though, losing to the South Beach Party Boys. Bad move there. April Lee and Natalya beating Beth Phoenix and Serena Mancini is fine I suppose. Gail Kim's attack was nicely done. Acceptable main event, best for the disqualification finish to occur. Overall, not a bad show, nothing special though.

I liked the opening segment. A lot going on and it made sense, and was perfect to get the show going.
Cannot stand Kennedy, so I'm glad to see Miz advance in KOTR. I can see Miz going on and winning the entire tournament seeing the way you use him. "King Awesome" has a nice ring to it, tbh.
Stephanie relinquishing power is probably for the best. She no longer belongs on TV, tbh. Vickie should be an interesting temporary replacement.
Tyler Black over Goldust is for the best. Glad to see you're using both correctly. Black helping out Goldust when Rhodes attacks? That's a little odd.
Benjamin over Swagger is good. They got a fair amount of time to have a great TV match. The post-match stuff with Orton was fantastic. The psychological edge should always be with Orton. Great booking. Might be the best part of the show.
The South Beach Party Boys? That's something that should NEVER be seen on TV, let alone be getting title shots. The Dudebusters have been built superbly and are wasted on these two jobbers.
Interesting segment with Miz and Rhodes. I wonder where that will lead.
I love what you're doing with Gail Kim, making her stand out. She works best as a heel, imo, and should be similar to what she was back in 2003/2004. I hate April Lee, so the mic shot got a chuckle out of me.
I loved the main event up until Jeff Hardy chased everyone away. The SES should have beat the hell of it him too.
A decent show, standard stuff here. Keep it up!
