So I finally got around to watching Impact! from this Thursday today and I haven't gotten very far, but I did notice that from week to week it would seem that Sonjay has very little character other than coming to the ring with SCal Val who has pretty much done nothing for him.
Then after watching him lose to Sabin, I did notice something that seems to be in the works for Sonjay... are they trying to rip off Randy Orton?
The Sonjay Stomp? He has never done that move before from what I have seen of him in TNA or any other indy I've watched him in.
The praying/hunting stance that he did...before he went for... was that an attempt at a RKO on Sabin?
Sonjay is a very talented guy, don't get me wrong, but seriously are they going to give him a "snake" gimmick similar to Orton or are they just grasping at straws again...

I notiuced the blatant RKO rip-off that started as a crounched position then he tried an RKO but failed.
And If he's supposed to be a Guru, then why doesn't he ever meditate or do anything spiritual?

Gotta love TNA considering they made a somewhat major feud between Sonjay Dutt and Jay Lethal with SoCal Val and then soon after all three were pretty much lost in TNA.

It's nothing like the RKO.. really.. it's a Standing sitout shiranui which is the "Sonjay Cutter" that's he done for years. The stalking/stomp is just a "heel" move. I can't understand where you get a "Randy Orton Rip-Off" tbh. Right now, Sonjay's to generic.. good but generic.. She's Taker's girl, if you wanna complain about her, I'll gladly complain with you. Seriously.. don't get me in the mood to write about all the flaws in the fed because I seriously will. I just wanted to point out something I am seeing them doing with Sonjay and how I felt that if they are merely ripping off Orton because he's big right now in the fed, that they should be a little more subtle about it. |

There is nothing to do with Dutt. He isn't that interesting a character and he isn't a draw so there is nothing left for him to do other than take more steroids.

If this was WWE, he'd soon be in a WWE.com headline which would lead to posts on this very board to bring him in. Maybe not irony, but proof that at least WWE tries to get fans attached to their talent as opposed to just throwing them on the show because they showed up to the building. |

People hate on shark boy for ripping on stone cold but dont care that this guy is basically being macho man There's a difference. I mean, Shark Boy looks ridiculous, and Lethal just like he's paying a tribute or something. Also, Shark Boy already had a gimmick. Lethal hadn't, he was just wrestling and he was/is great, but he couldn't get over, and with the Black Machismo gimmick, he did. This is coming from a guy who at first thought the black machismo gimmick was stupid. |

I didn't see it because I don't bother watching TNA anymore but Sonjay has been known to steal other guys moves in the past.
