BTW, who do you guys play as?
My first choice is Cheick Kongo as he's a kickboxer with maximum reach, which is especially useful against people who whore out Mir as he's the best. Second choice is Brock. I only play heavyweight though, I find it the most fun. I hate the clinch in lightweights. Any tips for defending that, as Silva just kills me in the clinch?

Just playing the game and I noticed an ad on the mat for UFC 101. I love the little things like that.
*edit*
Also just noticed that the post-fight replay is sponsored by UFC 101. lol

Yeah they update them pretty regularly. I remember a while ago it was all Guida vs. Sanchez ads.
Anyway, I bounce around weight classes online depending on how many cheap people I find in any particular weight class. My favorite fighters are in Welterweight but EVERYONE picks GSP, so most of the time I do Light Heavyweight. I usually use Dan Henderson or Rampage. And my policy now is to just never play Muay Thai/BJJ, because there's no escaping a Muay Thai clinch online with any lag at all. And the online people who pick Muay Thai in the first place are the cheap bungholes who go right for the clinch anyway.

I really wish I had the patience to learn how to play this game well.

It really isn't, given my online record prior to me returning it to GameFly in rage. By the way,

It really isn't, given my online record prior to me returning it to GameFly in rage. By the way, Or a 5-second KO from a Superman punch. Anyways, how come no place has it where I can rent this game? I mean, it's like everyone in the world is RENTING the game, not buying it.

What technique do I need and how do you do the move where you catch the leg kick and throw a punch.?

I think only Forrest Griffin has that catch counter. You just flick the right stick down when somebody throws a body/leg kick.

I just started Career Mode and my GOD. I've fought Thaigo Silva, Wandy Silva, Liddell, Rashad, Machida and Rampage atleast 3 times each. It's getting very annoying. Although I got a 13 sec knockout on Shad lol.

I have finally bought the game. It's like the fates really didn't want me to get it but that is a story better told when i am not on my iPod. FYI i am ing awful at Takedowns... I definitelt rely entirely on my standing game though once someone else gets me down i can still hold my own... Such a fun game

I improved my online record to 30-4 last night. I would really like to get the Platinum trophy for this game, but getting every trophy in Career Mode seems ing hard. Do I need to fill my shelf or can I get by with just 1 Sub, Fight, and KO of the Night? 100 online wins and 1,000,000 seem hard, but that's all just patience.

If you retire your fighter from Career can you still use him online?

If I remember correctly they are: Hall of Fame trophy Grappling trophy (reach max grappling level) Striking trophy (reach max striking level) Sub of the Night KO of the Night Fight of the Night and the three different win streak trophies, can't remember exact amount of wins needed.

Well then I got ed, I think. Because I'm pretty sure I had one of each '-OTN' trophy, I for sure got my grappling/striking trophies, was a 2 time Middleweight champion, and I had all of my streaks.
