I struggled valiantly to win the Lightweight Belt. Took me several years in game. I haven't played this game in a while. May have to bust it out again. Dude, 155 was definitely the toughest division for me, Heavyweight being a close second. The guys down there are so diverse, it's hard to be prepared for everything at once. I'm 8-3-1 in my LHW career now. First time I've ever had a draw.

The HW Career was the easiest, followed by 155. I went 33-0 in HW (all T/KO), 32-5 at LHW and 35-0 in the LW division. I went 13-0 in the MW Division (after I defended the title twice, I retired), so I'm re-doing that and I'm currently at 23-3 (2-time champ). I'm about 25-2 and 18-3 at WW aswell in two seperate careers. I've done 8 career modes, two at HW (currently like 6-1 in my second), one at LHW, two at MW, two at WW and one at LW. I found something really funny with Career Mode. So, I'm 18-2 at Middleweight and just lost the MW Title to Yushin Okami by KO (from Mount as I was transitioning), so I take my next fight against Bisping. I get an e-mail saying "Can you replace Rich Franklin against Anderson Silva?" so I did. So, I'm about to take on Anderson Silva, when I notice that the headline fight is: Rich Franklin vs Michael Bisping At the same event Rich pulled out of... he's fighting. What the hell? Career Mode in the game sucks. It's so bare bones. I'm 7-2 in my second LHW career right now. I actually love Career Mode. It's the only thing keeping the game going for me, as I've gotten all of the Classic Fights and can't be bothered to do the 4 Online Achievements I have left. Admittedly, I eventually lost that Anderson Silva fight by KO in the third. Got absolutely dominated the entire fight in the Muay Thai Clinch, just taking several whip knees to the body or head. Went down at the very end of the second and managed to get to the third, where I got KOd with a counter-head kick with like 13 seconds left. I bounced back to beat Amir Sadollah by submission, Demian Maia by KO, Michael Bisping by KO and Yushin Okami by TKO to win the title back, so I'm not complaining. Got a rematch against Anderson in my first defense.

Two headkicks can end a night.

Does anybody know if there will be a sequel next year? There are many games that I want right now, and I've considered getting this one, but if there is going to be another released next year, I think I should wait.

Dana White confirmed 2010 a little while after 2009 was out. I'd expect the sequel next year to compete with EA MMA.

I was playing the demo of this against my sister, and made her tap to a simple leg lock thing in like 40 seconds.

That's pretty easy to do if you are playing against someone that doesn't know what they are doing. It's better than the old games where I took someone down and submitted them in about 5 seconds into the match...

then again, after awhile we had another match for the hell of it, and knocked her out with like an elbow and a superman punch, like 30 seconds in. :X

I still love coming back to this game. One of the few games where I feel like I can control the outcome. I'd probably get killed if I played more online, but as far as I go, I can turn the difficulty all the way up and have 5 glorious rounds of pure offense.

I only got to play Tito once, and I don't remember him being too too tough. I was a Level 2 Wrestler and Boxer at the time, so I just took my time, getting him the body with most of my shots, and focusing on his head with counter punches.
Although, I'd say after having to deal with Rampage, I did start including some serious clinching.

I need help learning how to execute submissions.
Once you press R3, do you continually do circles or just once? Or do you press any of the other action buttons instead?

FYI,
I just finished career mode in LHW as a fighter named David Bisping. went 33-0, never submitted a single fighter, but never went to decision either.
Now I'm working on a career as a HW. I created Roy Nelson for the occasion. . . sux that they don't have a better body type for him.

It's funny. This guys absoulely mutilating me with ground and pound. I notce his low stamina and time a great submission attempt. "Magically" what was a lag free matchup turns into a lost connection error and the fight ends. I hate cheaters. Just take the L, and polish your skills.
