My main suggestion for prepping for a fight is to to rest the final two week before a fight to make sure you go in 100%. Your chances of winning are a lot better that way.

Resting either the last two weeks before a fight or two of the last three weeks is really important. I have lost track of weeks to fight and only been able to rest one and gone in low and lost the fight. Always pay attention to what style of fighter your facing next and if you are weak againist his styles make sure to focus the sparring in working on improving defending those things. I am getting better and ground just from sparring and getting ready for guys who are more ground based fighters.
Has anyone else won a title in career mode?

I haven't won a title yet but I feel I'm close to a shot. I'm the #4 ranked guy and my next fight is against the #2 ranked fighter.

God it's really ing frustrating how random the knockouts can be. It's one of those things where it's kinda cool the first time, but really goddamn annoying after it keeps on coming up and then it takes another 10 minutes to fight again.

I gave this a rent. How do you get out of the bottom position when you're clinching up?

I'm 4-2 currently in Career, Expert mode of course.
I've won my last 4, so yes, I started at 0-2. My next fight is my biggest yet, challenging Keith Jardine.

I had an awesome fight against Lesnar a few minutes ago and I feel like I earned it. He nearly had me a couple times with ground and pound but I kept fighting back to my feet and eventually nailed him with a flying knee in the second round for the knockout. I was ranked number 5 while he was ranked 3. Number two is Mir with Nog as champion, I don't feel like having Nog hand me my ass so I'm quitting for the night.

Having some great fun with this one. Once i am on the ground i am buggered tho. Done the tutorials, i am still not too hood. Any ideas?
As for Career i have found out that you have to make sure you are 100% going into any fight to stand a chance,

You'll get there.

I've been playing this game a lot....too much in fact. I've turned into a hermit..
I've already finished career mode, my caw is quickness itself. My record online is like...32w/21L but all in all, i'm loving every minute of this.
Add me- play me..i'll be on after work, which is about in 2 hours from now

Yeah, most of my career mode losses have come from flash KOs. It probably doesn't help that I tend to fight an extremely aggressive fight. I'm always in there trying to stand and bang and push the pace. I pretty much never block, although I'm trying to get better at that.

I feel sorry for Hector Romero, I knocked his ass out in Round 1 at 4:58.
