I hate fighting Damien Maia (sp?) I have fought him I think three times and am now 2-1 againist him, but in the last two, which we split he just waits for a takedown and lays on top of me for most of the round and doesn't really do much. He will go for submission ever so often and in the first fight he got it in and in the last one I was able to fight him of and get back to my feet and TKO him in the second round. I have now defended the title twice and am getting ready for the rematch Anderson Silva.

Do the fights you play get added to the fighters MMA records, so the info on the introductions changes?

Do the fights you play get added to the fighters MMA records, so the info on the introductions changes? I'm sure that Online and Offline are different..Online is your own record, where as offline shows up as The Fighters real record.

I have now won the UFC Heavyweight Championship with a knockout in the second round at 16 seconds against Frank Mir. I was given three opponents to defend the title against and I picked Lesnar since I have had my best fight against him and want a challenge.

Just reeled off my 6th straight KO or TKO win, in my 2nd Welterweight title defense against Jon Fitch. Just signed my next defense. ZT vs. GSP III. First time we fought he tooled me, second time I Cro Cop'ed him, should be a fun rubber match.
Record: 24-9-0 with all 24 wins via TKO or KO

In my first two title defences I picked the number 2 ranked fighter which were Maia and Okami. For the third I picked Anderson Silva as Maia had regained the numbers 2 spot and I didn't want to fight him two out of three fights. I had also had trouble with him and didn't really want to go thru that again so soon, Okami on the other hand I have beaten twice and both times weren't that close as he stood with me alot and I was able to defend on the ground enough to get back to my feet. I was bad on the ground at first, but the more I play and the more fights I do out of career with some of the pro fighters I am picking up new things and am getting better at defending and getting back to my feet when down and now I am able to get more damage in when on top and have come close to getting subimissions in career mode.

Correction from before, make that 7 straight KO or TKO wins.
ZT vs. GSP III had similar results to the 2nd fight. I hit a high head kick that rocked him, hit another to knock him down, then hopped on him and started raining down punches on his head to score the TKO.

Well I got the game today and started an Expert Career since Expert is pretty much the only difficulty that challenges me. I'm currently 0-3, 2 from a decision and 1 a KO.

Ground game is STILL a bitch to get used to..I never know when to 'flick' to get something in my gain. I figure, once I get that down, ground control will be fairly simple.
Online has been irking me a TON lately. My record is like 56/40, I haven't backed out of one much, but almost every single match I had this morning, people would quit, mid submission cause they knew they were going to lose...not only that, but I was submitting everyone with none other than Brock Lesnar. It's a big thing when Brock gets the submission here, just because everyone gets excited who's watching around us, and the actual submission fighters players get angry. -I usually get messages after each fight, which is great, either saying "You're a cheap bitch" or "Good fight"
Someone was complaining that when I was Brock, that i wouldnt' just go in for the kill..and stood around while the they themselves were gassing themselves out throwing punches into the air.
Oh well.

One thing I just thought of that I would love in the next game would be the ability to join a particular gym, not just train with them.
It would be cool as hell to train with a gym like Sityodtong every day, have Mark DellaGrotte in your corner for fights, have a Sityodtong banner behind your CAW as he is introduced, etc.

That would be cool and maybe you could also change the flag draped behind you in the intros. With all of the sponsors on the game maybe the could give your fighter more or less depending on how big the ad is or where it is, maybe even have your fighter where a shirt after the fight like most fighters do.
I would also like to see a create your own fight card mode in the next game. You could have several people over and have a entire fight card with people either facing each other or the CPU and they could give out the awards for fight of the night and KO and Submission of the night after the event so people could have bragging rights.

See, I like this game, but it's far too unrealistic. There are way to many unnecessary flash knockouts.

after 30 fights I've only got 1 submission win. Is it really hard for everyone else or am I the only one having trouble winning with a submission.
Im rotating the stick furiously but i still cant get it.

Managed to pick up the game for PS3 today, loving it thus far.
I'm currently 3-0-0 in career mode, with my next fight in 13 weeks or so.
I love that you can change the referee in the fights, I mark for Herb Dean yo.
Anderson Silva & Brock Lesnar = badass.

Im rotating the stick furiously but i still cant get it. Out of my online wins 10 or so of them are by submission, I never rotate the stick for them, just mash the buttons.
