How did his Face turn actually come about, today I was watchign In Your House 14 (Revenge of the Taker) and he was heel, then I recall seeing him at KOTR 97 taking on HHH and was the face. So how did it come about? Did Bearer turn on him?

I believe it had to do with Paul Bearer turning on him and using Kane to beat him down but Im not 100% sure. I remember Mankind feuding with Kane and Bearer playing a role....

it was his series of interviews with JR where he talked about Dude Love and really gave insight to both Mick Foley and Mankind. It happened between that IYH and right around the time of the KOTR. By Canadian Stampede he was quite over as a face.

Yeah that's basically it, The Interviews and then he did the thing with Austin, when Austin needed a new partner because HBK went out with an injury and was doing the whole "Pick Me Steve" gimmick.
