I know we have the official Build N' Brawl thread already. But this is going to be a poll meant to see the opinions people have on BNB, and where they stand as far as collecting. I think it's time we've had a poll like this again. I don't remember seeing one, but I'm sure one was made in the past. We are now up to series 5 with this line and have had a succesful one so far.
So all that being said I wanted to make this poll and see "where everyone stands" as far as collecting, what their thoughts are on the line, etc...
Personally, I love BNB. The size is awesome, they're easy to display. The concept to building a different thing in each series is great. The figures are all detailed and never fail to impress.
But anyway... Vote away and cast how you feel on this line!

I love them. Alot of the figures and scans look better than many RAs and DA's. I have all of series #1, but then stopped collecting soley because the ring was too small. I was just frustrated the ring was too small for the figures so I like ... protested. But then they released the bigger ring so now I collect again. I'm not a completionist, but I get the figs I like just like I do with RA and DA.

I voted for the "I'm just not interested one." I have C.M. Punk but I don't feel the need to have more. They are half the size of RAs for 2/3 the price... and I have to buy my whole collection over so meh.

i like them, they move better than RA and look better at a smaller scale with the horrible DA Design...

First off, I only need series 1 John Cena, Undertaker, and Triple H to complete my loose collection of BNB figures. I currently own the rest of series 1, all of series 2/3/4, the series 3 Umaga elbow pad variant, and the TRU ring exclusive with HHH and Randy Orton figures. I am awaiting my complete set of series 5 in the mail from WWEShop, too.
In my opinion, the BNB line is some of Jakks' best work in recent years, but many collectors do not realize it just yet. I only started collecting them a little over a month ago after I received series 2 HBK as a (surprise) birthday present, and only then did I begin to appreciate the line. The attention to detail is often spot-on, and the concept behind the line is fresh and new and makes collecting them fun (i.e. the buildable pieces).
The articulation blows Micro Aggression out of the water (as far as smaller scale lines are concerned) and, while prices are still way too high for plastic toys, the better value for your money can be found in these little figures as opposed to the larger scale lines. However, flaws are easily apparent in loose limbs, especially in the feet, which draws many away from shelling out the once-regular price for RA figures for the BNB line. Although, it is expected that all Jakks figure lines will suffer in some way, so BNB figures shouldn't be isolated, in my opinion, as RA and DA are not much better in that department.
The variety of wrestlers included thus far in only five singles series, and the excellent repaints in the exclusive ring set, definitely make the line more appealing than if repaints were produced early on (series 2 Batista is an exception, as it was merely a replacement for a cancelled John Morrison figure). BNB figures also save much more space due to their diminutive size when used for MOC or loose displays, whereas the same can't be said for RA and DA collections.
There is plenty of room for improvement, though, to ensure the line's lasting appeal, including a need for a better scaled ring, accessories, weapons, appropriately-scaled knee and elbow pads, plenty of fresh faces and correct use of parts, continued attention to ring attire detail and likeness, among other issues presented by collectors on a daily basis. Thus far, the line has impressed many, but also disappointed many others because of its flaws, so the BNB line isn't going to be popular with everyone now or even once the line is finished.
I will continue to collect them as long as the scheduled line-ups are reasonably priced and Jakks doesn't start slacking off with each figure's detail. Accessories and weapons are not a must, but a major want, and I anticipate Jakks going out of their way to please collectors of the BNB line to an extent. The first ever exclusive should be considered a success, and hopefully is a sign of things to come for us collectors in this new year.
I am particularly interested in the Classics portion of the BNB line, which has great potential but not enough time to reach the level of success that I know it can achieve (as evidenced by the popularity of Austin and Ramon). However, I think it's great that they are being incorporated with figures representing WWE's current rosters, as it's better to have some Classics rather than no Classics at all.
There is so much that can be discussed regarding the BNB line that I find it hard to put into words, to be honest with you. I'm excited about the future of the line, and I know Jakks can do a great job with it as long as they put in the effort. I foresee BNB being a line that, in years to come, many will find great interest in and prices will soar (again, to an extent) in the secondary market because of the demand by future new collectors.
No, they aren't the most durable figures and the likenesses are basically hit or miss, but the line is unique for wrestling figure collectors and is one of the best things going as far as overall quality is concerned, in my opinion.

While I do love the BNB line... and have 20 of them right now... the price is a killer. Tonight I spent over $33 on four BNB's and while they are great, and they are really detailed... I felt somewhat un-happy spending so much. The price really hit me hard with them tonight... and I think now I'm going to try and just buy select ones here and there.

But, honestly, what is there to do about the situation?
If you wait several months for them to hopefully be marked down, is there any guarantee that you will be able to find them in stores still? Is it any worse than paying $10 for a mediocre RA figure, or several dollars more for a DA figure that will more than likely feature some part loose once it is opened?
I believe that $7-8 for a BNB figure (with buildable piece) is a better deal overall compared to RA and DA figures (with hardly ever new accessories), which haven't changed at all in recent years to warrant a higher price tag. I refuse to buy RA or DA figures at retail prices anymore, so in a way, I've turned to BNB to get away from the cost of collecting these days.
The line offers something different for a change (with a variety of new faces and buildable structures), exclusives that are worth your money and not a waste of time, and it saves space rather than demands entire rooms for display of a collection. They are a great scale for play or for use in a pic fed, and don't require as long of time to display them or store them for later use (if you play).
In my opinion, BNB has yet to succumb to ridiculous prices like RA and DA have, so I'll gladly collect them and I prefer their limited number of sets. I don't need 8,000 RA figures in order to be happy, and while I still like what Jakks offers for the RA and DA lines, the prices and lack of attention to detail, for the most part, turns me off to them.

as already stated, the concept of collecting them to build parts I.E. the stage or ring is a cool concept and the detail looks great but the 7.99 price tag has turned me away. but i have had second thoughts as i need the hbk for my collection and i do like the razor ramon

I spend more on G.I. Joes which cost the same sometimes more so the price doesn't bother me...

Well, the thing is with me, I usually buy my BNB's at Wal-Mart. So tonight buying the ones I wanted from series 5, at TRU, was somewhat different to me. Spending $8 on each one is something I'm not used to doing. I'm used to the $6.50 price tag. But since Target's haven't been reliable, and Wal-Mart is still stuck with series 4 in high numbers, I decided to just get my wants covered at TRU. But with doing so the BNB price has been bugging me a bit. Still though, they're really well done and I'm content with what I bought tonight... but I'd rather the cheaper price tag, since I do collect RA, and DA, which gets expensive.

I understand where you're coming from, Johnny.
I don't collect RA and DA as much as I used to (hardly at all nowadays), so I don't mind paying the extra dollar or two for BNB figures. Also, the limited release of BNB series (similar to CSDA) makes it easier for me to pay the current prices for them. Most of my buying primarily comes from TRU, by the way, so I've gotten used to their prices.

I do collect them. I have all 4 series so far MOC and loose. I like the concept of building the ring, the cage, etc. That does suck for people who do not want them all. It is basically a marketing strategy on Jakks part to get more of your money. Kenner does the smae thing with Star Wars. They give you a piece of a droid and you "MUST COLLECT ALL 6' figures to complete the droid. Granted there are 2-3 good figures in there, but the rest are crap.
The only problem I have with BNB loose is dont they satn very well and the least little movement will make them fall. But I also like there are some Classic ones. My problem with that is I think the CS BNB should be in their own line. And the same with Vinyl Agg, Maximum Agg, UMF, and BNB. I think the classic figures should be in their own line to make it seperate from the current ones.
