Match 1

Razor: Nice job, I think this is an improvement from some of your previous entries, but not your best from what I recall. I didn't know who that was, and it didn't strike me as Vin Diesel immediately, but when I looked it up, I saw the resemblance. The edges on all of the detail painting could be smoother.. try adding some water to the brush to get it on their smoother. The accessories are a really nice touch though. The tattoos look way dark and thick, almost markery (I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt on that).

xXMatthardyv2Xx: This is really interesting, though I am not sure I entirely get it. I get the idea of Zombie Iron Man, but not quite what the "zombie" part of him is supposed to look like. The dirt looks cool and the torn/melpting part of the suit looks great. However, a lot of the sculpting is really thick and uneven. Some edge refinement on the sculpting would be good.

Dave10878: This looks really clean. I know from experience that Liger is a freakin' nightmare -- it's a mix of red, white, thin lines, sculpting very breakable parts on the mask.. it sucks. You made it look really nice. The reds and whites are smooth, and the lines look pretty even. I think the horns on the mask are a little small, and am not sure that the attire is entirely accurate, but Liger has a lot of very similar but slightly different outfits, so you get a pass on that.

Mystery Opponent: Angus? This looks like your camera work. Specifically the date stamp. Nice choice of subject, really. It was executed well too. Funny! The painting and sculpting work to great effect. However, my concern is that a lot of crap would look pretty good because he's a freakin' mummy, how hard can that be? I do appreciate the amount of work put into it, and it looks good.

Match 3

Deen: This looks really nice, I like the sculpting work and the trophy looks great. Is this a Jakks accessory painted? I'm not familiar with all of the accessories. It looks damn fantastic. The abs look great, skintone is nice. For some reason, I feel like the tights could be a little sharper.. like the painting on the tights strikes me as kind of an afterthought after all of the rest of the work. But this is to par with the recent standard you've set for yourself.

Sandman: There are parts of this I really like.. the wrinkles between the shoulderblades, for example. However, some of the shading could use some more blending, and the sculpting is a little rough. That doesn't bother me too much, because it's your style and I'm cool with that. What does bother me about this one, and about a lot of posed customs, is the armpits. I've never done a posed custom, and I imagine the joints are the most difficult, but the arms are attaching pretty low on the torso and that bugs me. The face looks super, and the front of the hair looks pretty good, but the back could use some sculpting definition. And the sealer is pretty shiny. But I do really like this figure, I'm nitpicking because it's a competition, not putting the figure down.

This one got better and better as I scrolled down. At first, I was like.. this looks a little.. off. Then when I saw the figure next to Rey, I looked closer and was pretty appreciative. The WIP shots solidified that. But when I saw the ref pics and went back and looked at the figure, I really appreciated it. Nice job on this figure. What were the hands from? A couple suggestions would be to make the design on the mask smaller, as it seems to stand up from the mask more than it does in the ref pics. Also, the edges on the stripes could be a bit more even. But that's it, good job.

yeah, I apologize for such a sh***y posed custom. I love the paintjob but was very disappointed with the sculpting. I started the custom on wednesday night. I didn't want to no show but I knew making a custom in such little time against a guy like Deen would ultimately lead to my demise..haha...

I agree on the sculpting. I didn't have the tools to take down some of the definition in the upper part of the R3 arms...anyone who has taken a part R3 arms knows what I mean...they are f***ing huge at the top by the shoulders.

Deen did such a great job though. I really love that Edge, it evens stands out from other Edge customs...not sure why, but it does.

Great job to Gore. Sucks Rozz had to drop out along with Texacide...but oh well...this show was kind of rushed but it is good nonetheless..


everyone did a very good job. I will give a more in-depth review later.

Alrighty here we go, and yes I am a set judge this time to avoid complications.

Match 1-

Razor- I love this custom. The Chronicles of Riddick head works great and I may be alone but I noticed the likeness of Vin Disel right away but that may be because im a xXx mark, lol. There are alot of posatives but along with positives there are always negatives. I like the headchoice as it is a Vin Disel scan but I dont think the eyes work as in The Chronicles of Riddick he had all black eyes and in xXx his eyes were normal. I think if you had painted theinner part of the eye then the black then white dots for the shiny part of the eye it would have been fine. But the head still works good IMO.. I like the addition of the accessories. The jacket is great and the motorcycle completes the custom IMO. The pants lok sculpted and they are done nicely by the way. The painting on the pants could have been a litle bit neater but they look good none the less. The sealer used on the pants is a little bit too shiny. May have wanted to use mate finish. Now on to the arms. The tattoos are done well but they look to be done in marker which is a no no. They may not have been done in Marker but thats the way it looks. My suggestion is either a paint marker which is a marker that has paint in it or a toothpick and dip it in the paint and carefully draw out the tattoo. But none the less they look nice and I dont have refs of his tats from the movie so I cant confirm the accuracy. But Im sur ehtey are close to what he had in the movie. Overall this is a great custom man and you have deffanitly imroved. Good job.


xXMattHardyV2Xx- I like this custom and at firs I thought it was a marvel figure. Later I realized it is Jakks parts for the most part. I like the sculpting all around from the torso, to the head. The legs look the best IMO and the sculpting all around was done well IMO. The painting look a little bit rough. Maybe it is meant ot be that way since he is a zombie but Im not sure. Anyways this is a good custom and a noticable improvement since your Jeff Hardy. Good job man!

Dave10878- WOW! Great Improvement. Your painting skills are definatly a strength for you. Im glad you joined up man. This custom is done nicely. I dont like the parts choice. Instead of the trunks ould like orton figs has you should have use the tights mould from an edge type figure. But that does not matter as much. Looks really well done the painting is great. The lines are crisp and all of the colors look solidly painted which is hard with red and white. The mask is the biggest flaw. It looks a little bit odd but hs mask is hard to sculpt so I wont count that ainst you too much. The horns are just too short as becca said but it still looks great. I love the custom man good job!

Mystery opponent- I know who you are so I wont bother guessing. Im not gonna lie though the pics do look like angus's pics, haha. I dont know much about who the Yeti is. But I looked up some pis and it looks to be accurate. I think you could have used a little bit darked colors to make it look more dirty but none the less it looks to be pretty accurate. The wrapping effect lookis nice too btw. I can still see the flesh in the armpit part. I have problems witht hat on my customs too I try to cover it up before pictures most of the time though. The head looks a little too fat IMO but it works. The texture seems ot be missing but as you told me it may be the pictures. Great custom nonethe less...

Sandman- This is a nice custom but I think you could do alot better. The parts choice is not that great but the head looks good. The mods are nice.. The hair looks good and your painting is smooth but I dont knw I guess the parts choice is what brings it down for me. Overall its good though..

Deen- Great work for you. Not your best work but it is deffinatly good man. I love the torso modding and the hair also. The painting is all around smooth and clean. The logos look to be perfect from what I can see. The skintone looks really good except for the abdomen area it looks like there are shades of grey in there Idk it may just be the flash IDK. But none the less it is great...

Match 1:

Razor: Good tattoo work just a lil too think in most areas. Decent molding on the lower legs. Biggest flaw is the head size.

Grade: C

MattHardy: The mask looks decent but the rest looks like you just bluked on putty.

Match 2:

Dave: Part choice is good, painting aside from the chest & head looks really good as well. I understand that the head is a hard one to sculpt and you did ok but it still looks FUBAR a lil. Plus the gold part on the front looks a lil mangled as well.

Bio or Angus: Flat out this figure looks pretty stuipid

Match 3:

Deen: I honestly think this is one of your worst showings, the stomach looks very very odd and the tights look like they were done in a hurry or something. Your still VERY good as doing the knee/arm pads though.

Sandman: I really do think the paiting is very good as well as the hair. I don't really care for the sculpting of the shoulders and especially in compairson to the size of the legs. Also the length of the shorts should be somewhat longer.

Gore: As Eric Bischoff likes to say "controversy creates cash", my new motto is "Gore creates trash." Seems like you can only win when there is alot of controversy around and I think whoever you next match is against will pick up an easy win. But this is actually one of your better showings. P.S. Your Goldust is still a joke.
