TNA president Dixie Carter is looking to one market in particular as reason to believe TNA is on the level with WWE business-wise.
With TNA beginning its U.K. tour today, Carter told the Daily Star in the U.K. that "I think this is a special and important market for us."
She added it's a market "where the fans have embraced our product on an equal level with the competition – and much quicker."
Without naming WWE by name, Carter said their ratings are comparable on a weekly basis and "being on par in the ratings is a huge victory for us."
Regarding Christian Cage, who will be debuting on WWE soon, Carter said she was not happy with Christian's decision to return to WWE.
"I’m very disappointed," she said. "I like him as a person as well as a talent. It’s interesting, he was the first big name to jump ship to us and he’s been the first to jump back. I wish him all the best."

Angle was the second big star they signed and he will be the second to jump back as well.

Honestly I don't blame Christian for leaving. He went from NWA champion, to midcarder, teaming with Rhino.

And not signing Christian may have been a huge loss for TNA. Coulda built a nice story around him but oh well, now we can watch him make a run at Shelton Benjamin's coveted US title! YEAAAAAHHH!

I no longer even watch Raw. Edge and Christian will both be on Smackdown so thats all I will tune in to watch. I still prefer TNA over both though. Its sad wrestling is getting into the state it is.

Its sad wrestling is getting into the state it is. yea, really. Im sure the hbk/cena match was good and i'd like to watch that. ECW i guess they have a new champ? SD i missed entirely so i'll have to catch the spoilers. Sadly, TNA is about the only show i can bear sitting down for any length of time and watch, and that's not a lot of time but at least i'm interested in what they are doing. Frankly i just dont care whats goin on in WWE, just doesnt interest me. they need to bring back that must see tv factor...maybe Mcmahons return will do that. And TNA hasnt always been this bearable to watch, but again, at this time, it's the better option for me.

I'm pretty sure she's talking about the ratings in the UK being on par with WWE not in the US.

Fans have embraced your product on WWE's level?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA!
Lets see, statistically speaking, has TNA even garnered any NEW fans in this past year?

I kind of hate it that Christian left. He could've been a major player in the MEM storyline.
I don't hate him for his decision...I've gotten back into watching WWE so I'll still see him.
I'm not on either side right now...I enjoy both TNA and WWE. They each have their own pros and cons.

I've already posted this - I actually posted the entire interview: wfigs.proboards48.com/index.cgi?board=tna&action=display&thread=114462Fans have embraced your product on WWE's level? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA! Lets see, statistically speaking, has TNA even garnered any NEW fans in this past year? No, no, no. She's meaning in the UK Market not over-all whic she's right about. TNA's had great sucess in the UK and this is only their 2nd tour. She's exactly right.

This whole thing was taken out of context
When in reality it had nothing to do with WWE..
In that she's talking about being above or on par with THEIR ratings not the WWE.

Glad he's going back to the WWE. Even if he's eventually put in the mid-card, it'll be fun to see him back there. I could see him being in Jericho's role on SD, where he shifts around between the mid-card and lower main event scene.

Wow, from the way Dixie comes across in her...talking, it seems as if she has her head up her own ass, pretty deep in there, too.

Sports-entertainment and all, eh G-Money? You couldn't have said it better.
I must admit, I don't watch the product at all, I'm quite content with ROH...
