I never really knew it was as easy as it was, but I looked it up and went about the steps to hook my cpu (well.. my brother's laptop, in this instance) up to the TV (for games and videos). I borrowed an S-Cable from my uncle, and I already had a 1/4th to RCA cable that I used with my record player/preamp...
I went on ebay, and bought 2 NES to USB components, and 2 SNES to USB components to use with my old controllers on my brother's laptop.
So now I've been playing a bunch of old games on emulators again, this time hooked up to my TV w/ sound and the works.
(to make this legal, yes, I and the person I've been playing with have owned or still own these games... yada yada, I'm not technically downloading them illegally, yada yada... my SNES still works fine actually)
Right now, the games I'm in the middle of are:
NES: Ninja Gaiden 3 Bionic Commando Wizards & Warriors Mega Man 2
SNES: SMW 2: Yoshi's Island

I just beat Super Mario 64 on an emulator. Got all 120 stars. And there's some other classic adventure games (particularly for PS1) that I need to look into finding out how to get an emulator for. Ones that I still find fun nearly 10 year later. Games like Sonic, Spyro the Dragon, Crash Bandicoot, etc (Insomniac Games deserves every given praise).

I've been addicted to the Sega Saturn lately. I dug it out, and plugged it back in not to long ago, and I've been playing NiGHTS Into Dreams, Virtua Fighter 2, 3 Dirty Dwarves, and most recently I've been playing Mega Man X4 on it. There's this used game place near me called Disc Replay, and they sell old Sega Saturn games, so I go there from time-to-time, to pick-up some games. I've almost got Mega Man X4 beaten!
