The figure I was most excited about was Storm; and I must say, the figure looks good, save for the lack of kneepads. But I was disappointed at the choice of a chair as an accessory. They could've just as easily given him something a little more character-specific...a Canadian flag, a title belt (IC, US, tag, hardcore, cruiser), or hell, even a mop.

Bossman carried a ball and chain to the ring for some time in 88-90ish, everyone asking why he has one as an accessory is lame - you'd rather him have a flaming barrel (like DA Helms) or something?

RA38 looks amazing. Happy to see Kendrick with the jacket and its just a good, solid set overall.

RA 38 - Eh only figure here that interests me is Kendrick. Nice to see they kept the jacket. I'll be buying it for sure. CS 23 - Animal - Good stuff right here and I'm glad they kept all the details. A definite buy! Berzerker - Looks good but I was never a fan of him. Pass. BossMan - Why in the world did his face become fatter? It looks like he ballooned up from an allergic reaction or something. It's also a shame they didn't fix him like they said they would. I'll have to look at this in person or see some loose pics before I make a decision to buy or pass. Hawk - See Animal. Lance - Looks great I'll be buying him for sure. Shame he didn't come with any of the Canadian titles though.  RVD - *sigh* Such a boring attire and than they give him one taped hand and one normal? Sometimes I don't know what Jakks is thinking. Pass! Spike - Awesome figure although it does look like they took a bit of his tye dye colors out from above the boots. Buying it! Trish - It looks like they changed her a bit (her arm in the proto was behind her) but she still looks good. I'll be picking this one up. Why no Kidman picture? I was really looking forward to seeing how he turned out. |

You know... literally this rvd and this bossman were the only figures I've had enough interest to purchase in a long time.
The rvd looks like barely any effort was put in at all. It looks like an average RA .5 series. No facial hair or anything of the detailed sort such as bike shorts. This is also early career rvd, but he has a 35 year old edition of his head. They should have used that scan that only was releases once in the Havoc Unleashed series. In fact, why they didn't is either laziness, skimping a budget on old parts or just plain not knowing their products accuracy.
The Bossman is so bad it's not even worth saying much. I bet all the kids are glad their Paul bearer, CS9 Andre and bossman figs can act out a hydroxycut commercial now.

I dunno. I'm pretty excited about this set really. Sure Bossman isn't 100%, but I can always display him behind someone else and pretend that he's correct. That's good enough for me. Besides, it's kinda like post-match Bossman. I don't think he had a match without having his shirt un-tucked. All they need now to make it 100% is to have the shirt RIDICULOUSLY sweaty. Oh Bossman...light blue shirt and physical activity make for a gross lookin' top. that's a good observation, however its not the shirt un-tucked that's bothering everyone...its the fact that the torso is skinny. Its the same torso mold used for (EDIT) AD 29 dusty rhodes....last time I checked...the Big Boss Man was not skinny...he had a little around the midsection...hell if they used the larger "jim neidhart" torso and a new shirt mold would have looked better. But Jakks doesn't do stuff like that. |

Bossman SUCKS! Jeremy told someone via email that they would change bossman and they didn't! You don't have to lie to appease the masses, if you have no intention on changing the figure why didn't you just say so? I rarely, if ever, complain about figures but Jakks messed this one up bad. The accessories are ok, but I'd rather have handcuffs than a ball/chain atleast so I could handcuff guys to the ropes. I'm just disappointed in the body and the untucked shirt. "Hey look guys, bossman shops together with mick foley, they have matching shirts!"
Other than that everything else looks good. I said it could've been one of the best cs series ever but the one figure that should've been perfect ruined it.

RA38 - At least TBK comes with a removable jacket....set is a full PASS for me though.
CS23 - I'm gonna get Storm for sure. Maybe Spike...I don't like that jean shorts mold though (limits lower leg movement). LOD looks nice....but I'm trying to sell their current figs I have (see: Classifieds link)....so prob won't pick them up. BBM looks horrible.

Classic 23-
Big Bossman-
I've already trashed this figure enough so I'll say what I like about it. The scan really does look great. It looks like the TTL scan but much improved. Its cool they threw in the "ball & chain" as well. Unique accessories are always a plus. Kind of funny they gave him a "claw" hand too...I really wonder who makes these part selections at Jakks
Berzerker-
An absolutely amazing figure. I would have preferred the brown gear but blue is still good enough. Those boot covers rock! They'd be good for Morrison! Kinda surprised they didn't at least throw in a sword...but with all the cloth I'm sure that figure cost a lot to make. Looks like his helmet doesn't come off but that doesn't bother me. Randomly I'm glad they gave him an open left hand to do his "Huss" pose. LoL
Billy Kidman-
Don't know why there's no picture...don't really care. I hate Kidman and wouldn't even bother to get this figure if I wasn't a Classic completeist. I'm sure it will be cool looking though.
Spike Dudley-
LoL at the tall boots. They give Sid short Rocky boots and Spike the tall "Orton" boots...again I wonder who does the part selections over there. Other than that the figure looks excellent. I'm glad they went so far to put the white in between his glasses, that just seemed like something they wouldn't bother to do
Hawk & Animal-
I'm surprised & very happy these came out exactly like the protos. I thought Hawk never wore that facepaint in 2000 but I guess I was wrong. So that makes them both super accurate. I was hoping for a CS AWA Animal to match CS 9 Hawk, but since these are so awesome I can't complain that much.
Lance Storm-
This is the definition of a perfect figure. That scan is AMAZING. One of the best that Jakks has ever produced. This is one of my favorite Classic figures EVER and I'm really glad they didn't let me down.
Rob Van Dam-
I dig the attire. It looks pretty cool. However I dont like that they used the "2007" RVD head. Its not classic looking and the one thumbs up hand just doesn't make sense. Its almost like Jakks ran out of RVD thumbs up hands and had to just throw a regular one on there. If there is a reference picture where he had this look I will retract my statement, but its not a terrible figure overall.
I really can't wait to own all of those (except Kidman) In my opinion its definitley one of the better Classic sets that Jakks has released in the last year.

Why does RVD only have one gloved "thumb" hand? I was just thinking that they hadn't released a microphone in a while. Now three figures in one set come with one. Cool! At least like 7 of the past 10 figures I received/bought came with mics lol. |

Well the only one I immediately ordered was Lance Storm nicest one in the series along with Berzerker (Shame I have nothing for him to do in my Fed) and LSD , Road Warriors also look good but it is not one that I had particular intrest in Bossman lost a few Pounds from when I remember him, and RVD is the same as all the others I think though he should switch accessories with Lance
RA38 has nothing Big with exception of Kendrick and even that was average since the Coat while a nice touch isn't something I use all else is just the same as any other version of the Wrestlers they represent

All the right handed "thumbed" hand molds were used for Umaga figures!!!!

RA38: The red Batista isn't as bad a look as I thought; the Kendrick looks great too.
CS23: Lance Storm is the pick of this lot for mine.
