He's the same character.
He's still known as Koopa in Japan. I cannot remember why they changed his name over here. All I know is it took me forever to refer to him as Bowser instead of Koopa. In relation to this topic, I will never ever EVER call Dr. Robotnik, Dr. Eggman. He'll always be Robotnik to me.

I was thinking about starting a topic about Dr. Robotnik too. I know that he was always called Eggman in Europe for some reason. I hate his new(ish) name too. Robotnik will always be Robotnik and I will never refer to Koopa as Bowser.

The change from Koopa to Bowser was okay to me. The change from Robotnik to Eggman, regardless of the latter being his original name in Japan, was not .

Robotnik will always be Robotnik and I will never refer to Koopa as Bowser. He wasn't always called Eggman in Europe, that's a relatively recent change. I wasn't happy when they changed Koopa to Bowser either, and when Princess Toadstool became more comminly known as Peach.

For some reason the Princess Toadstool to Peach transition did not bother me, but the other two did

I prefer Bowser 'cause it sounds more evil but Dr. Eggman is pure hell. I always have and always will call him Dr. Robotnik.

It was Eggman first, then that stupid Sonic Cartoon changed it to Robotnik. Anyway, you can tell if it's supposed to Eggman or Robotnik by the color of the beard, and the head. This is Eggman This is Robotnik Obvious differences

Koopa > Bowser And aren't the turtles still known "Koopa Troopers"? If so, then that kinda throws the names outa wack

I used to call Peach Princess Toadcrap , and Dennis Hopper played King Koopa man not Bowser man, so I go by Koopa, man!
