I just watched KIDS. I didn't see how it was so impacting. I may have missed a thing or two but overall I thought it was meh. I'm sure it was more powerful in it's heyday when HIV was a HUGE thing to be aware of.

Another fun factoid: Deodato originally had a prop monkey skull and brains for the natives to eat, but the natives in the film refused because monkey brains are a delicacy to them. |

The only real ed up part was when his dumbass friend raped Jenny. It doesn't touch Ken Park on a ed up level though, which is another Larry Clark film. |

Meet the Feebles_ Directed by Peter Jackson, the premise of this movie is that puppets are real, and it is backstage at a Muppets Show type program. But all of the puppets represent the worst of show business. Between the rabbit with Aids, the Walrus drug dealer, and the rat making S & M porn in the basement, this movie messed with my head. I was actually laughing my ass off at the part of the video, it may have been intended to be humours. A black guy on a skateboard singing about how he has no legs wearing a "Kiss me I'm polish" t-shirt? I'd feel awkward NOT laughing at that. |
