Oh, I'll place a bet on Ken-Flo alright. Just not with you. If they are dumb enough, then I'll bet with my buddies. I'll get paid faster that way. They can pick that out-of-shape sh*t-talker who doesn't take fights seriously and will gas by the end of the first and I'll pick the younger and more dangerous Kenny Florian for sure. I have total faith and confidence that Florian will win that fight. Penn just got done taking a beating and he's got another one waiting in the wings. I could see Florian's razor-sharp elbows causing a cut that will stop the fight and a new champ will be crowned. We all know Florian has the stamina to go 5 rounds. We've seen that in his fight with Sherk. And we know that Penn will gas early, which gives a clear & distinct advantage to the younger, hungrier fighter. I don't see how Penn can beat Florian. Florian's just got to weather the early storm and he'll outlast Penn. No question there. I can't wait for that fight. Florian will be the next Lightweight champion of the world. Trust me. I guarantee Penn is at least a 2/1 favorite in Vegas for his fight with Florian. You keep talking about how Penn "will gas," but you neglect the fact that Penn has finished every one of his fights in the first three rounds at light weight (since UFC re-added the division), all against good opponents, and has been completely dominant in every one of them. Kenny Florian is no Georges St. Pierre. Georges St. Pierre is a TERRIBLE matchup for BJ because of his pure brute strength. St. Pierre's strength advantage over BJ is so significant that BJ spends most of the fight just trying not to be smothered. That won't happen against Kenny Florian. Kenny Florian is not going to be able to just use his power to drag BJ to the mat, like St. Pierre can... And quite frankly, that's the reason GSP won. BJ is "out of shape" at 170 lbs., because he's not built to be a 170 lb. fighter. At 155, he's in MUCH better shape. Just look at his conditioning for his other fights at 155. BJ has fought better, more dangerous lightweights before, including Gomi and Sean Sherk... And Sherk beat the hell out of Florian in their fight. I do give props to GSP and I agree I think GSP is above Anderson Silva because Anderson Silva has not beat big names like GSP. Silva has beat James Irvin, Patrick Cote, Nate Marquardt, Rich Franklin, Dan Henderson, Chris Leben, & Travis Lutter.. But GSP has beaten BJ Penn X2, Matt Hughes X2, Matt Serra, Jon Fich, Sean Sherk, Josh Koscheck, and IMO those are more impressive then most of Silvas wins... In fairness, wins over Dan Henderson and Rich Franklin pretty much are as good as it gets at the middleweight division. ^ Oh off buddy. If there was ANYONE who was talking out of their ass, it was B.J. Penn. All the smack-talk he laid out against Georges and it came back to bite him in the ass, big time. Looks good on the er. And I'm glad he got his ass kicked. A nice, big piece of humble-pie for Baby Jay. LOL. Yeah, because no fighter EVER talks crap in MMA, right? No one ever tries to make it look more "personal" than it really is, right? BJ and Georges have tons of respect for one another. If you believe that BJ was being 100% serious with the stuff he said, I feel sorry for you.

^ GSP doesn't talk smack, I know that much. And if he did, it was certainly not nearly to the extent Penn was dishing out, that's for sure.
All I know, is that Penn was calling GSP a quitter and said this was going to be a "guaranteed" win for him and said he was going to kick GSP's ass and on and on. Penn couldn't live up to the hype and he got humbled. All there is to it.

The guy stood in the middle of a UFC octagon with a mic, and told Matt Hughes he "Was not impressed with his performance." EVERY fighter "talks smack." It's called hyping a fight. No one would watch if the two fighters said "No no we're great friends. In fact, I hope I don't REALLY hurt him. I think I'll just try to submit him, but not too hard."

^ I wouldn't say what GSP said was "talking smack" at all. That was just his opinion on Hughes' performance, that's all. There IS a difference between having an open opinion about something and letting it be known and "talking smack".
Now, what Penn said about St. Pierre about being a quitter and calling him a little bitch and all that, that's "smack talk".
You say every fighter talks smack eh? Well, does Rich Franklin talk smack?? I don't really think so. How about Anderson Silva?? Very doubtful. Matt Hamill?? I don't think so. They are too classy to talk smack. Unlike B.J. Penn who just runs off his big friggin' mouth.
I'd really like to hear what Penn has to say now after his humbling loss last night. I'd really love to hear it.

Saying "He's not as good as me", "He can't beat me", "He can't beat me in any facet of the game", etc...is talking smack. It's not saying "HE SUCKS"...but it's still a form of **** talking. BTW - Matt Hamill isn't as "classy" as you think. BJ Penn was doing what every fighter does. He was playing mind games. He was trying to get in GSP's head, while pumping himself up and building his confidence at the same time. BJ Penn doesn't think St. Pierre sucks. In fact, I'm sure BJ Penn knows for a fact that St. Pierre isn't a roid head...he just wanted to play mind games.

Haha, oh boy.
Many people believe GSP's biggest weakness is his mental game. I'm not one of those people but still. If you ask most MMA fighters, they'll say that if a fighter fights with aggression and fights with pure emotion, it takes them out of there game plan. If you couldn't tell that Penn was trying to play a mental game with GSP, then wow. This isn't WWE where people hate the bad guys who talk smack, and love the guys who show class, every aspect of this sport is about strategies.

Georges was talking smack, too, saying how he was going to "break BJ mentally, then physically." He absolutely DID IT, but he was talking smack nonetheless. ... You're kidding right now, right? Seriously, do you believe wrestling is real, too?
