Who here has played the REAL mario 2? Ya know, the one the ONLY japan got. The REAL sequel to Super Mario Bros. 1. I don't mean Lost Levels. I mean, who's played the actual Mario 2? I have. Playing it right now. Up to 3-4 It's definitely harder than Mario 1. But I don't think it would have been to hard to release. Although right now.. 3-4 is pissing me off. edit: Ok i'm getting really pissed off at this mario game right now. WHY THE DOES A PLUMBER HAVE TO SAVE A PRINCESS ANYWAY. "She has 100s of knights, BUT LETS SEND THE ING PLUMBER" >_<

I've played it a few times. It's very difficult.
This is the perfect game for the Virtual Console. Not many have played the actual original, let alone even know of its existence.

Yeah. I agree about the Wii thing. And yes it's hard. I'm up to 6-4 and it's annoying me. It's one of those castles that loop, unless you go the right way. edit: WOO. beat 6-4.. Edit: Ok, I just beat it. Now i'm out of things to play. I've beaten Mario 1, Mario 2, and the REAL Mario 2. I still haven't beat mario 3, but mario 3 is kinda boring

I've only played it on Super Mario All Stars and that's about it. I've not played the original NES version though. It was tough but it still should have come out for the US. I'm glad it did in the All Stars game.

I've played the original SMB2, or SMB: The Lost Levels on SNES and GBC but have never played the original on the NES. And wasn't it released only on the Famicom Disc System?

^Yes that's correct. Due to being "too hard" or something to that effect.

Yes, the original Japanese Mario 2 was on the Famicom. but meh. Personally, I prefer Mario 2, the famicom one, to the original mario. It's harder than smb1...and it's not too easy or anything. Just the right amount of "hard"

Yeah wasn't the Super Mario Brothers 2 we got was just a Palette swap of an Indian Guy from a Jap game?
