Here are the answers to this week’s questions:
Q: Where will be Bound For Glory 2007 be held? We'd love it here in Philly!
Matt Carey
Philadelphia, PA
Bill Banks: I do know that TNA management is in the final stages of selecting the location for our big October “crown jewel” Pay-Per-View event, Bound For Glory. I would imagine that we will have an official announcement on a location sometime after the Hard Justice Pay-Per-View event.
Q: I was wondering what Ken Shamrock is doing nowadays. I know that he wrestled for TNA in 2002 and 2004, but I haven't seen or heard anything about him since??Daniel Beaumont
United Kingdom
Bill Banks: After his last TNA appearance in 2004, Shamrock returned to the UFC for several bouts, including a feud against Tito Ortiz. Shamrock was also a coach on the Ultimate Fighter series. After parting ways with UFC in 2006, Shamrock joined the International Fight League and has been a coach for the promotion since. On a side note, Shamrock was one of the names considered by TNA management to team with Rick Steiner after Scott Steiner was unable to compete at Slammiversary.
Q: I was wondering if TNA replica championships will become available for sale to the public?
Donald Gallegos
No Location Given
Bill Banks: I spoke with our merchandising folks today, and they tell me that replicas of our titles will indeed by available for purchase in the next month or so. It takes a while to produce enough of the replica titles for sale to the public, so as soon as we have more information we’ll release it here first on the website.
Q: Could you explain the significance behind the "Woah-oh Abyss" chants that the crowd in Orlando used to do last year? I've had no luck finding an answer.
Mitchell, Australia.
Bill Banks: Honestly, I have no idea myself. The rabid fans who comprise the “pit” at the Impact Zone are always entertaining themselves in some strange ways. I’m still trying to figure out why that one guy keeps waving his towels around all the time.
Q: Is there any plans in the future for TNA Wrestling to produce their own monthly magazine?
Kurt
Manchester, UK
Bill Banks: There are no plans right now to do a TNA magazine. However, through one of our international licensees, there is a TNA magazine available throughout Italy (written in Italian, of course) that has several monthly articles and some great pictorials. The magazine is not available anywhere outside of Italy, though.
Q: I have a question regarding the fan mail. Do the wrestlers actually receive their mail?
Monica
Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Bill Banks: Yes, all the mail that we receive for the TNA stars at our offices here in Nashville, Tennessee, are boxed up and delivered to Orlando. The TNA stars are given their fan mail at the “iMPACT!” tapings and Pay-Per-Views to read.
