I posted this a few days ago in my receivings thread on the Jakks forum but thought it would be more suitable here. My first ever custom- Mr America. Did this a mth ago but didnt post it up. The kneepads are not in the pics but i have put them on the fig. Skribbel was my inspiration. I haven't sculpted the mask yet but i bought the clay already. I have not seen any pics of how it should look from the back or how the lines should end so i painted it this way. Everything is handpainted. No tape stuck on or anything. All comments welcome. The stripes were a pain to do though. EDIT: Updated with mask. I just completed the mask! Here it is. What do u guys think? Beginning stages. Painted the wrong blue and had to strip it off.

Your first custom ever?
Wow...great job.
The painting is clean and smooth. Amazing how you got the lines so straight...and you said you didn't use a guide? Awesome.
I'm looking forward to the finished product. I hope the head turns out as good as the body did.

I'm a girl Yup, it's my first custom. I actually did my second and third already but both are repaints of Rey Mysterio. I only used scotch tape to guide the paint when i was painting the lines but it didn't really work cos the paint bled underneath the tape. I did the mask last night out of clay. Took me 5 hrs. Haven't painted it yet. Will post it up in the next few days

It looks good but the mask is a little thick...when making a masked wrestler you want to basically only cover the indentations by the nose, cheekbones, chin, and eyesockets...to make it look like the mask is really skintight..you also want to shave some of the hair off..
but it looks really good for a first custom. good job.

The tights are perfect, really perfect, but as I said on the Jakks board the mask is too thick.

Nice Paint Job! Better shave the hair first before applying the mask!
