Newcastles new assistant manager is Dennis Wise, as of tomorrow. Great appointment i think. Just showed what he done with Leeds and what Keegan done with us last time can combine. They both know their stuff when it comes to football. Hope it pulls off.

Stupid move for Wise I think. Bound to get promotion with Leeds to the Championship and he joins Newcastle as an assistant.

Was getting £250,000 a year with Leeds, hes getting £1m with us. He probably just moved for the financial side.

Lol, £5k a week is good money, I'd have that and manage my favourite team than have £20k a week and be a "director of football" at a washed-up soon to be championship side (when I say soon too be 2-3 years)

3 games // no goals // 2 deafets.
i'm starting to wonder if it was a good idea to get 'King Kev 1' on the back of the away strip ?

We played decent against Bolton, and tbh we played decent against Arsenal both times if you ask me. You don't expect miracles from Kev the first week in the job to beat Arsenal. I was just happy with the performance the lads put in. Im quite pleased with the appointment of Kev and im sure he'll do a great job if Ashley stays off his back.

I would give Keegan some time but i reckon Wise would be a good choice as manager, better than Keegan imo.

Agree, Wisey has the potential to be the next great english manager imo, him & Incey could be absolute geniuses, they just haven't had the chance to showcase that yet at the top level. Both will be Premier League bosses within the next 2 years unless something goes wrong.

Aye, both are great managers at League level but wether they could do the same in the Premiership will have to be proven. Personally i would love to see Ince as Derby manager. Soon as Billy Davies went, Paul Ince came to my head. Jewell is doing a decent job though. Brought in some nice new players.

To be honest, Keegan has no control over the players on the field, there the people who aren't performing, not the manager.
