I think Jake made in incredible impact on the wrestling business, he was a great wrestler who had a very unique gimmick and mic skills on par with Mick Foley's when it comes to passion and psychology... i know his 'recent years' have tarnished his image and i think that may be a reason we don't see him getting inducted. Do you think he will ever be inducted? (and his theme music rocked too )

I think the reason he isn't in yet is partially because they are afraid of what kind of condition he may show up in to accept.

I think the reason he isn't in yet is partially because they are afraid of what kind of condition he may show up in to accept. I agree with this. I think about this all the time as he is my all-time fav. I think it may have already been done if it wasn't for the fear of him showing up wasted. I'd be willing to wager that if he'd agree to being somewhat controled for the day of the event, you know sort of escorted around, it might make a difference. He is one of the first names people think of when the thought of Wrestling Legends comes to mind even for the casual on-looker, so I think it is due, but I guess it's one of those things (show) you might not want to ruin if at all possible.

He deserves to be inducted...But I don't know if he will be, given his condition as a drunkard and WWE's PG status.

Eventually because he deserves it, imo just for creating the awesome ddt!
Hopefully he will go in one day but he needs to clean up before that happens.

good question
i think he will as soon as next year anyone who says its because of drugs that he hasn't is looking into it too much. wwe just hasn't gotten around to it yet.
jake will take his place and when he does it will be a great night!
btw i used to love jake's matches with preliminary guys the best because they would sell the crapout of the ddt

When he sober ups. Does anyone know if when Raw was in GA (2004?) and they did the spot where Orton put him down...was he sober? He looked out of his mind TBH

Yes, he will be one day. I actually have been lucky enough to speak to Jake several times in person and via phone and email (believe me or not, could careless) hes a really really nice guy, and you by talking to him you get that chilling feeling because the man truly knows the business. He knows way more than what was shown on tv, the man is a genius, however yes he has had his demons, and recent misfortunes but Jake's sober now. I would love to see him inducted one day, I will make it my mission to fly wherever to see that happen. Hell, the man named two of my snakes for me. But I dont see Jake being inducted for another couple of years, after the Ohio incident, WWE will most likely want things to cool down, and make sure nothing like that happens again. Jake constantly told me that he's been in talks with Vince about possibly coming back as a booker.
Take if for what its worth, I know that I have talked to him, if some of you choose not to believe me, fine, its your problem, not mine. But I do indeed know Jake Roberts quite well.

He'll show up, stumble onto stage, start slurring his way through a speech and then whip his dork out. It's basically a given.
