Top 4:
GateCitySinner: I feel this is the elite figure in this matchp. When I skimmed through the single pictures this is the one that caught my eye and kept it. Everything is done very well and it is extremely clean. The sculpting on the puffy shirt is fabulous. I love the apint technique done to capture the velvet look of his Brood tights. Logos on the sides are very clean as well. Definitely first place.
Sandman: Another good figure, however I think GCS's is the superior Christian. The sculpting on this is nice although I feel the wrinkles look unnatural. I like the paintjob on this one too. I see what you were going with with the shading on the shirt, but it's a little overboard... almost makes it look dirty. Looks like some of your best detail painting with the logos as well. Again I see what you were going for and this is easily the 2nd place custom in this match for me.
This is where I think the voting gets tough... The top two were pretty obvious to me, but the final two are really tough.
CustomKenny: First thing I want to point out is that to succeed any further you need better pictures. I cant stress the importance of quality photos to show off your work. It was extremely difficult and nearly impossible to make out any details on your figure. From what I can see it's a really nice custom. The paintjob is very nice. Looks like a Richards head to me? From what I can see you did a good job with the hair. If you advance to the next round you need to have better pictures to advance.
My final fourth spot is...
NyDream: I think he raised the bar as to what he can do with this one. Fully posed isnt easy, so there are obvious flaws and roughness (more with the paintjob than anything). I am impressed you went for it with that amount of work on this figure. Nice attention to detail with the details on the pads and socks. The paintjob needs practice.. but I think you're getting there. It might not be as clean as some of the others, but it was a lot more work.
Sorry biohazard and Texacide. I was torn on Bio/Dream for the final spot, but I think nydream stepped up his game slightly more. The complexity of his figure outshined the other two. Also, the amount of photos that nydream supplied definitely helped him get my vote. I like to see pictures from all angles of the figure along with some close ups. It is hard to see exactly what is going on without those. Texacide, Your figure was very solid although it doesnt appear to have taken very much time, or effort. It is effective indeed, but I think you are capable of far better.

Top four, huh? That's not an easy task you trusted me with, Dream.
I would have to go with:
Sandman's Christian. I really like both of the Christian figures, but I believe that the scultping on Sandman's is more realistic in the way he captured the wrinkles, on the sleeves especially. The paint job is good as well, but I believe the undertones on the shirt are a little overboard. Maybe a slightly more subtle dry brush would have better served your purpose. The detail on the tights looks good though. Wouldn't expect any less from you.
Gatecitysinner's Christian. Like I touched on during my review of Sandman's figure, I think the realism in the wrinkles leaves something to be desired. The frills around the collar, however are amazingly executed. This coupled with a very clean paintjob makes for an overall great figure. You and Sandman both did well to keep the figures original articulation while still adding realism. My hat is off to both of you.
The last clear cut leader in my eyes is NYdream's Kurt Angle. While the detail painting on the singlet does leave a little to be desired, I think the overall effort puts this figure over the top. Posing a figure to look natural is no easy task, and I believe he pulled it off pretty well. The detail on the kneepads is a nice tocuh as well. My only criticism is that the singlet could use a few more wrinkles, and maybe he could have matching hands. I don't know if Jakks makes those though. Anyway, quality custom, and I commend you for doing somethign different.
Here is where it gets tough for me. The remaining customs all have some shortcomings. What decided it for me was that I can clearly see Texacide's X-Pac. While this is a simple looking custom, it does have a clean paintjob and is accurate. It is effective for what it is. The other two customizers may have had more involved, and possibly even better customs, but I just couldn't see the detail well enough to make that call.
In summation, my picks are as follows: Sandman Gatecitysinner NYdream Texacide
Good job to all, and good luck to those who move on.

very nice...
I am especially impressed with dream. I think within a year dream will be the best customizer on this board....he pushes his limits with every custom..it impresses me because he doesn't give a f*** what other people say about his custom..and that works to his advantage because they actually turn out really good. There are flaws no doubt but the effort outwieghs the flaws. Good job.
Customkenny I think it is a noble effort. Great overall paintjob. But I think you bit off more than you can chew. I see this a lot with Chris Sabin. Nobody seems to be able to capture his logos...but I think the paintjob is solid.
Biohazard..I really like the color scheme everything is clean but I just feel like a better choice could have been made. I can't fault you on my ignorance of wrestlers from other organizations though...I think this is a good custom.
Texacide-....I think this is probably one of the simpler customs I have ever seen from you..
Sandman....you are the sh**..you should win this whole thing...just kidding. I did so many things wrong on this one. I hate the shadowing and overtones...I was just very disappointed with this..but hopefully it gets me through because i will make up for this custom in the next round..
Gate...you have the best custom out of the bunch...but I feel it was a little simple..
I think the next round goes to
Gate myself dream biohazard

Am I the only one that is counting 6 entries and not 7?
My custom is indeed "Nightmare" Danny Davis. He held various LHW titles, most notably USWA and some of the branches of USWA. He also trained some of today's biggest stars. He's the owner of OVW. One of my favorits as a kid so why not make one.
My votes: Gate Sandman Me Custom Kenny

I think Jay's Macho head looks better and more like Savage, but FamJ's Macho is better in all other aspects, mainly painting - it looks very clean.

here's my top 4 : -Gatecitysinner's Christian : I really like the sculpting overall ; the shirt is nice but I have some kind of problem with the forearms... Maybe they're too skinny compared to the hands I don't know exactly. The head seems to be a little high but that works. Nice painting. -Sandman's Christian : very good one too. I have never liked the DA legs (I found them too long) so I would have prefered a RA body, but that's not the point here. Good work on the shirt sculpting but I'm not a fan of the dry brush. The logo is a good addition, maybe a little sloppy though. -NYdream989's Kurt Angle : Good posture, very kurt angle! I don't know about the headscan, I don't see him at all here, is this a jakks angle scan or somebody else's? Also the attire paint could have been a little better. I think you did really better in the past but it's still a good custom. -Texacide's Xpac : this one is really neat but like some of your work before, it's really more like a great fix-up than a custom. It's more easy to find errors in the other ones cause Jakks didn't made 90% of the work. Main event : Amazing!!! the machomen are both great but my vote goes to Jay. Famous J was, is and will ever be my favorite customer but I really don't like Macho's glasses here, they ruin everything to me (too big, wrong placement). Even if Jay's work is sloppier, it is Savage! the head, the costume, the glasses, it reminds me 1998! Great work on both, it is really a MAIN EVENT. You are 2 great customers.

wow.
Congrats to Jay and FamousJ...both Macho Men are excellent.. Clearly this is how it is...
Jays Macho Men has the better head sculpt..for sure. But the execution on the body seems rushed compared to the head. The chest looks a little thick around the pecs and the paint on the tights looks like it could use more coats and maybe be cleaned up a bit. Also I hate when great customizers make customs that have so much work into them but they don't add nipples. I don't know why but it really errrrrks me.
FamousJ's macho man is pretty much the opposite. The body is executed to perfection..but the head sculpt has flaws. The glasses are too big and thick and I don't like the mouth for some reason. The skintone is amazing. The paintjob on the tights and kneepads looks great and the addition of the belt really helped this custom.
I don't really know who to pick. I usually don't procrastinate this much with voting but this one truly is too close to call. Amazing job from both guys..
