I want Slamurai so bad. I love ninja and samurai, and I love white (clothing, no racist lol) characters, so it's getting difficult to wait. And two of each is definitely tough and expensive, but every time I open an Origins fig I wish I had two so I could keep one MOC haha 🤣🤣 I think Slamurai is the only one with white attire, right? I agree though, it's nice. I'm sure this won't happen, but I'd like to see them do it in a couple other colors as well. Maybe red or a dark blue would be cool. Hey, does anyone know when Moss Man is supposed to hit stores? I feel like it's been a year since he was announced, and I thought for sure we would have seen him in stores by now. I'd buy every color. Give me a three-pack like the upcoming Snakemen and I'd buy multiples to have army builders like the Foot Clan. And Moss Man I think is supposed to hit in August but I'm just going off my fading memory. I didn't bother with a preorder because I didn't want to give Walmart the satisfaction of canceling on me haha

I ordered Mekaneck and the Ground Ripper from Mattel Creations when it was on sale. I ordered two so I could have an extra Ground Ripper and an extra Mekaneck for customizing (I love the silver boots).
But they sent them in a Mattel sealed case, and now I don't want to open it because it's a Mattel sealed case lol

My Target and reports of others have the Mekaneck and the Ground Ripper set on clearance. I could have picked one up for ~$17 last night. I nearly bought it, but I decided against it when I read the box to see that Mekaneck's neck was not an action feature but only swapable parts. Its funny how you don't want unnecessary action features, but if the it is actually part of the character, you start wondering where it's at.

These came out to 23 each, so I saved 10 bucks. Not as good as Target's deal. I don't know how they decide to include action features, though it's probably cost. I actually prefer no action features (because of part swapping), but I will say it doesn't make sense they do it with some figures and not others. So Battle Armor He-Man and Skeletor have it, but Mekaneck doesn't. I guess he needed to be a deluxe figure?

I'm gonna have to grab another one at Target while it's on clearance. I just wish the Origins vehicle packaging wasn't so enormous. It makes it really difficult to store them properly for us moc collectors.

Just my Battle Cat, Panthor, Palace Guard, and Sky Sled with Prince Adam are screaming at me to open them to clear out some space.

I like that the packaging is like the original packaging, but that's it, lol. I've had more than a few get damaged over the last couple of years. Although that's mostly my own fault for not storing them properly. I have to order some more protective cases, too, for some origins figures.

Snake Trooper came in from Amazon today. It was $23.97 but I have a feeling that's most likely the lowest I'm going to get it for, unless it shows up in stores, which is highly doubtful. I'd definitely like to get another one at some point soon.

I ordered some really good ones for figs from Big Bad but I didn't order enough because I have too many figs and they were sold out last time I checked. MOC Masters I think they were called. If you know of some other good ones, let me know.

Target's sale on MOTU figs right now is pretty good (WWE Legends and UE fig sale is good, too). I stopped in yesterday and could have easily spent a hundred bucks or more but made myself leave with nothing because I have most of it already and didn't need to spend period this week.

Well, it looks like Origins will be Mattel Creations Exclusives from now on. I don't know if I'm happy with that or not. It will definitely be easier to find them through MC, but then again, I don't see the line lasting very long after this. We might get another handful and that's it. I blame that Buzz-Off wave 100% for this train wreck. Eric I'm curious what do you think of this?

I blame that Buzz-Off wave 100% for this train wreck. Eric I'm curious what do you think of this? I'm like you, not sure yet how I feel about it. If they're available on MC longer than the usual Origins exclusives, it could be good in that sense. But MC never offers free shipping that I know of, so I would guess you can add at least 6.95 (I think that's what I paid last time) to every figure. The Buzz-Off wave definitely killed the line at retail. And with vintage Origins going to MC, that wave can also be blamed for prematurely ending the line as we've known it because I would think now we probably won't get other figures beyond the rest of the original line (whereas if the line was still going strong at retail, who knows what else we may have gotten). That's another downside to this move. I guess overall, I'll take Origins any way I can get them, but only one option for obtaining them could suck. And as far as Filmation figs, beyond the main characters, I'm not as interested, so unless they branch out to other cartoons, there's not a ton of meat left on that bone, either.

Not a fan of the MC route. Money up front and waiting months upon months, MC has issues shipping peoples products out. Shipping cost for every figure.

Some people want made-to-order preorders, but I'd prefer they just put up thousands when they're ready to ship so there's minimal waiting. I know they can be slow even with those, but that's why I said "minimal" waiting lol With the shipping, each figure could be like buying a MOTUC figure back in the day. I think I paid $28 a figure for years. That was a long time ago, but still kinda sucks. First world problems I guess.

I think it's bad news. But at least we've gotten pretty deep into the line. Sy-Klone was the guy I was most dying for and they finally showed him. Rokkon and Night Stalker were on my list, too. So if we can get Two-Bad and Gwildor, I'd be really happy. Although, I thought for sure they'd do Origins versions of movie Skeletor and He-man. I don't understand Masterverse getting some characters and Origins getting others. My goal when I decided to go all in with these was to upgrade all the guys I had as a kid and I'm almost finished. Which is crazy. That includes vehicles and playsets. I absolutely love the line.
I'll definitely grab some of the FIlmation looks, but I can't see myself going very deep with those. He-man, Skeletor, Beastman and Trap Jaw are kind of the ones I most want and they're coming first. So I'll probably stick with just those to have them represented but I don't need both versions of every character. The toy versions were what I'm most nostalgic about since we never had cartoon versions as kids.
It just seems like Masterverse has become the priority. Primarily because it has a show to support them. That's fine, but I don't care for them, or the show if we're getting into the weeds. Grateful for the Origins run, regardless if it survives this next phase.

I'm guessing we won't get as many as we would at retail, but we should get a few good ones. I see them releasing a handful and then calling it quits. Two-Bad is an absolute MUST for the Origins line. I really hope they do him. At least Origins on MC won't be as hard to find like a lot have been lately. I tried to get into Masterverse, but I just couldn't do it. It hurts to know they will be continuing that line, but not Origins. Will the Filmation figures be packaged similar to Origins? Or will they have their own style like Masterverse? I haven't heard much about them aside from the announcement.

Parts look a little more cartoony but they’re all going to be swappable with the other Origins.

The face and hair are different than Origins He-Man, but that doesn't make it look like Filmation. Same with the torso and legs. Also, I'm not sure why Mattel (or Super7) can never or won't get the colors right on He-Man. Filmation He-Man had red boots and trunks and an orange belt with orange bracers. This one has brown boots and trunks and light orange belt and bracers. Even vintage He-Man figures had colors more similar to Filmation (which were changed for Origins). It's not a deal breaker, but it's annoying they're doing Filmation versions that look different than Filmation, and that they stuck with Origins He-Man colors instead of changing it up.

Here we go! Fang-Or goes up for pre-order on Mattel Creations on August 8 @ 12pm Eastern. I'm definitely grabbing a couple. Can't get enough of the Snake Men.
