I still am writing. I also adopted a new hobby, playing guitar so all my time has gone to that. I will have something out next month. Wrestling Conventions are fun.

The overall activity on this board has heavily declined and I'm not sure if it will ever match its peak years. I did everything I could to attract more fantasy bookers: I made a post in the Lounge, I PM'ed old members practically begging them to return, I reached out to newer members to pique their interest. But the fact is that the newer generation of board members do not have the attention span to read or write shows. They love pic fedding, which has turned into a YouTube niche, or they're still heavily into Wrestling emulators/sims.

I can't understand how people don't like writing a show. Once your done with the show, you feel proud of what you've accomplished.

Sometimes I change the finish 4 or 5 times when I'm writing a match. Like the IPWA SuperSlam main event. I changed it about 4 times, it just was fun.

When the board was really active, we had bookers that would write extremely detailed shows. Tenn, perhaps the greatest fantasy booker of all-time, would regularly write 100-150 page shows, sometimes longer depending on the show. People took a legitimate pride in booking. But now it's about immediate satisfaction. WWE: The Finale was ~150 pages before I decided to move on. It's very likely it would've clocked in at 200+ pages. Now, let's be perfectly honest...how many reviews would that review get? How many people would legitimately sit there and read that many pages? Probably none.
And that doesn't matter to me. As long as I can write, I will. It's just hard finding the time or the energy with an irregular job, a girlfriend, a hobby I'm intensely into, and misc. things that come up. It's rough.

If The board (knock on wood) becomes fully inactive. I would still write shows. I know my shows aren't anything special, but I take pride in my shows.

I came towards the end. It sucks, the board is GREAT when active, but the interest isn't there.

I'll always be active on here. Kids these days with there "no reading" attitudes are killing boards like these.

I know the closing of BOOK and the failed Wrestling Afterlife project ran a lot of bookers away. Most of those guys didn't transfer here or elsewhere.. they just went away. I know Scorpion's Den was here at least for a little while. frogg may have been here for a bit. But most of those guys just disappeared when BOOK did. Similarly, a lot of our key guys over the years have faded away rather than even burning out. binky was still around until a few years ago.. dcw1 was still at least lurking until recently. Real Deal is still known to make an appearance or two.. I know I date myself a lot when I say this, but I started on this board in December 2003. I started WCWA in July 2004. That's a LONG ING TIME. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd still be doing WCWA 12 years after starting it. Nor did I expect anyone to still be along for the ride. I think hebtheeagle is the only one that has followed WCWA since the start and he's not really active here any more. I review when I can any more. I work 2 jobs now, I'm now in school from 9-6 Monday-Thursday, and I do have a lovely girlfriend who does not fight grass. So time is fleeting. I'd love more reviews on my own stuff. I realize Synthetics are a read and my PPVs seem like an impossible journey.. but if you read them even one match and a promo at a time, they break down very easily. While I try to make everything connect as best as possible, the fact remains that WCWA is produced in a very segmented fashion. So not reading everything in one sitting doesn't really effect anything.

BOOK was a tremendous resource and it's a shame it couldn't be saved. Afterlife was never going to work because it just didn't offer the resources that BOOK did; BOOK almost inspired creativity, I think. I remember posting my early shows on there and it *felt* like a big deal.
The demise of BOOK spelled the end of Tenn, Den, Tommy, Froggy, etc. As for Binky, he came and went and Real Deal went to Cuba or something.

I've finished the Nitro format sheet. All that's left to do is actually write the show.

If any of you only read one IPWA show, episode 4 should be the one you read!

I'm going to put together a Wrestling Supercard that was based in 96, then eventually write the show. Should be fun.

So starting with EP. 13 I'll be writing a tournament for a new title. I having all the matches in the first round as well the winners decided by an online randomizer.
The second match, I can't think of anything for the match. So I tried again...and got a worse match. About to try a third time and go woth that one.
