Just thought I'd mention that I use Cagematch, Scott's Blog of Doom, and The Overtimer as three of my biggest sources. Giving you a bit of a peek behind the curtain.

I know there's a fair bit of yearning for the halcyon days of WCWA (no there isn't, no one remembers me) This past Saturday, I directed and produced the biggest show I've ever been involved in, NWP November Reign. This show was the accumulation of 18 months of storylines, essentially the blow off to everything since we soft rebooted in the pandemic era. And while I'm probably the only one that sees it, the layout of New Wave is a mirror image of the way that Synthetic and Breakdown episodes were laid out, with match/promo/match/promo style layouts. November Reign has all of the elements that I think made WCWA special to me so many years ago now and it's nice being able to put what I learned here to use in the real world. If you've got an IWTV subscription, check it out below. If not, give it a subscription. it's $10 a month and you get dozens of indie shows a month for it with thousands of hours of archival content. And my fingerprints can be found ALL OVER IWTV. I think presently I edit 12 different promotions on IWTV and have another 4-5 I've done work for in the past iwtv.live/promotion/new-wave#dxLBOyZ7NQ

Great to see so much happening here recently! PWU official thread now in the help board and a preview up of the next Warfare up too. Notes are done, show should be up at the weekend and the first episode of Fight up mid next week hopefully.

Hey all, hope everyone’s doing well in this crazy covid riddled world. Apologies for the delay, Warfare is now half done hoping to push myself and get it up early next week shortly followed by FIGHT.

I won't lie I'm not very good at writing my promos. I think my strength lies in my actual booking.

I'm taking cues from everyone and it seems to be taking shape quite well.

Had to slap the ole PAUSE button on Nitro but should ramp back up soon. I haven't been totally satisfied with how it originally started, so I had to re-arrange a bit

I've been super stuck on the super crazy vs. mysterio match, dont wanna overbook it but idk. Don’t overthink it, if you’re having an angle running off that match then you may need to add more elements, that’s how you develop a story it’s not necessarily overbooking. If it’s just a one off match, possibly look back at some Mysterio matches or Super Crazy matches and try to piece together a finish but overall just do you and what you want. Everybody has different ideas about match writing and booking, that’s why we do this but long as you’re happy with what you produce then it’s fine, the rest of us just share ideas and opinions. On a separate note, hope everyone here has a good Christmas and enjoys the festive period!

Nitro is progressing well. This is the first episode where I had to do a bit of re-writing/re-booking so I'm curious how the end product will turn out.

How would you guys feel about my work, if I wrote botches or flubs into the matches? Or purposely make a match bad, like a wrestler gassing out and the match sucking? Would it make it more realistic or just kind of kill the work?

Would it make it more realistic or just kind of kill the work? I personally think it's a good idea if you're going for realism but shouldn't be overdone.

Would it make it more realistic or just kind of kill the work? I think this would work well in the context of your fed, particularly as you have an indy style company where botches and wrestlers gassing out could happen regularly. Interesting concept but for the purpose of entertaining the reader I wouldn’t overdo it but now and again for a realism aspect, why not? On a side note, hoping to have the next Warfare and FIGHT up by the end of the weekend or mid next week. Also look out for a preview in the official PWU thread in the Help board.
