2 rings enclosed by a cage (not like Hell in a cell, the cage top was maybe 8 feet tall so you could lift someone into it and the cage stopped at the ring apron not the floor) It usually consisted of 2 teams of 4 (sometimes 5). The first men from each team would enter and battle for 5 minutes. After that there would be a coin toss to see which team gets the advantage. It becomes 2-1, 2-2, 3-2, 3-3, 4-3 and then finally 4-4. Men enter the cage every 2 minutes. The only way to win was submission or surrender once every wrestler entered the cage..........
WCW did another variation of this in the triple cage I believe, which Im so ashamed of I wont even discuss....here is footage from a wargames match....

WCW was so cluster ed by then it was ruined. It aired on a episode of Nitro and was for the WCW Title. Again I hate even mentioning it.

Side note...Vince probably will never bring in Wargames because it's a WCW creation, but I'd LOVE a well-booked Wargames match now.
AND...if Wargames has taught us ANYTHING...it's that the heels will always win the coin-toss.

So it was somewhat of a "fatal" type match or was it elimination style with one person standing?

So it was somewhat of a "fatal" type match or was it elimination style with one person standing? Elimination could only happe once all 8 or 10 men were inside the cage. Then it was submission or surrender. So if Sting, Luger, Steiners vs 4 Horsemen were the card once all 8 were in if one of the men surrended the match was over. Around 1999 WCW did a 3 or 4 team Wargames where it was like 3 guys from each team and DDP won via pin fall. I refuse to acknowledge that wargames as well LOL

When Triple H takes over the company we will see a Wargames match. As long as he isnt an active wrestler, I could really see Trips being a decent booker...If he's active though, TERRIBLE

that 2000 ppv was slambaree (sp?) in which Arquete turned on DDP and help Jarrett win the title. It was also when Kanyon got thrown off the top of one of the cages and crashed through the stage which was a little bad timing for WCW to do such a stunt as the event was in Kansas City and the same arena that Owen fell to his death at. I am also sad to say that this was my first and only ppv I have been to live.

That Arquette/DDP/Jarrett match was NOT WarGames..It was just a normal triple threat that took place inside the Triple Cell.
However on Nitro in September they brought the Triple Cell back and had a WarGames match for the WCW Title between a number of guys..I think Sting, Goldberg, Nash, Booker, Jarrett?
As you can see based off the fact that nobody rememebrs it, it was a forgettable and uneventful match.
